The bitter taste of having had been caught was still fresh in Takeshi's mouth. He knew the risks of a human trying to steal from the dragonborn royalty but, after having had observed this "Aisuru" for several weeks, he was certain he could have pulled it off. Those damn reflexes and that troublesome perception was definitely no joke, that he knew for sure now. Takeshi had devised a plan, utilizing the state fair and a few of his street friends as a distraction. But even with the commotion of the crowd and the bustle of bumping kids against her, Aisuru still managed to snap her attention to him. In fact, his wrist still hurt from her grip.

Takeshi rubbed his wrist, the faint swelling still reminding him of that day. Despite this, he still felt a level of gratitude as well as curiosity towards Aisuru. Instead of having his hands lopped off she instead decided to have him travel with her as her serf. At first Takeshi had figured she just wanted someone to carry around and clean her gear but after a couple of training sessions he quickly realized she had different intentions for him. Now the two were well past the castle walls on their way to. . .where were they going anyways?

"Aisuru, shouldn't I know where we're going?" Takeshi asked with pursed lips. "I don't see how I can be of much help if I don't have the full picture. . ."

Takeshi slung their gear over his broad shoulders while wearing a very distinct pout on his face. The young man stood at 6'0", a few inches taller than his new Lord. He dressed light for their travel through the dessert, with a mid-rift, exposed shoulders and pants that cut off above his ankles. Wrapped around his waist was a white top, easily accessible if the weather too harsh with a ring strapped to his chest by four straps of fabric. He didn't normally like having his body so extenuated but for some reason it gave him a sort of confidence around his specific company. In fact, he was starting to grow into his new royal attire.

". . .Can't I at least know why you're leaving the castle? Ain't royalty supposed to stay behind the walls?"

Aisuru thought back to the day she had made Takeshi her serf, thinking back at how it all had started. His plan to steal from her was almost passable. It would get anyone unaware easily, though it was too convenient to have a sudden commotion and crowd bustling and bumping around you. Though to bump into a dragonborn Princess was something her guards would’ve normally gotten into a defensive position around her. The serf she had made was lucky that she decided to go out of town without an escort.

Her mind would click back into place, hearing what the slightly taller sets of her’s would say before speaking up. “It’s very simple to see that we aren’t staying behind castle walls. I may be royalty, but I have my goals, and it can not be done if I stay inside Dragonsreach.” She glances back at her kingdom with hesitance. Although she knew her father would most likely be angry, she had to do this for the sake of finding out whatever that was in the first place.

She wore a blackened cloak over her usual royal garb, just to avoid attention of her being noticed. Within a few days she’d be a topic of search and rescue, for a large sum of money in return most likely as well. “First we head to the entrance of Dragonsreach, then go to a nearby village for a rest. From there on...” Aisuru trails off, before keeping silent. She didn’t know where to search, only that she had a unrelenting urge to do so. The Mythos... just what exactly is that? Something about it intrigued her, a urge to somehow meet the man who once ruled over a entirety of the only kingdom.

A groan came from the serf as he tossed his head back in displeasure. It was moments like this that made Takeshi wish for Kyu's bluntness. Where was she anyways? The two had been talking in secret and he would have sworn that she had promised to meet them outside of the castle gate. Takeshi was starting to worry that maybe something had happened to her. Did this lady get a hold of Kyu behind his back without him knowing? The thought shook Takeshi to his core. Maybe he was just over thinking it. . .yeah. He was just in his head, Takeshi decided, and pushed his attention back to Aisuru.

"Ugh, duh. I get that but I just don't see how I'm supposed to be of any help unless I know why you're leaving this place."  Takeshi leaned back into himself, crossing his arms over his chest. Takeshi didn't care much for the clothes he was wearing as they showed off more of his torso than he liked, but Takeshi didn't have much of choice, what with living in a desert. But for the others, they got a nice show of his chest and slender frame with those clothes on. "In my opinion, my best attribute is my ability to observe, and I can't really do that if I don't know what I'm supposed to be lookin' for."

Takeshi watched Aisuru out of the corner of his eye, doing his best not to be obvious. She seemed apprehensive about this journey which was not comforting for Takeshi given his position in all of it. Wait. . .why was she trailing off? This spurred a moment of intense thought in Takeshi. Since Aisuru was dragonborn, so she was most definitely not weak, which Takeshi was in comparison. But what Takeshi knew he had to offer had to be the reasons she had taken him as a serf. Unless she saw something in him that he didn't, she had to then have brought him along for his intellect, cunning and deftness. Which had to mean. . .Takeshi stopped in his tracks, eyes getting in wide in surprise.

"Hold on! Do you even know what we're looking for?"

Aisuru heard his groan of dissatisfaction, which she could only sign softly as he continued on with his words. She herself knew she wouldn’t make it alone, the many ‘suitors’ she had made it obvious. Though regardless of what she thought, she heard Takeshi’s question, before stopping herself and turning her head towards him. She understood his reluctance. After all, what good would be an observer if he didn’t know what exactly to be observing?

“I do know what I am looking for, just not exactly... where. There is a old legend, a mythos so to speak. To put it simply, there once was a king who had ruled the entire lands under his one extravagant kingdom. Though problems as always occur, and caused his unknown downfall.” The dragonborn princess would finish, before looking back ahead of her, then back at Takeshi to speak to him again.

“You are an observer is what you say, so that means you must be of use when it comes to it. If you really are as such, then look around and describe everything you know. Not just simply just the environment, but if we are to come across a unavoidable battle, it will be you to decide our fates.” Aisuru said, thinking about how such a time has been placed upon her. To search for something she wasn’t sure where it was, and only going off of a mythos. Though she only knew that this once great king was kept contained somewhere, in something. She knew it. She felt it. Though for all she could do for now, was simply wander. Her emotions would tell her if she was closer or not, but even then, it would be difficult to navigate with just that alone.

Despite Takeshi stopping it didn't seem to make Aisuru stop, so Takeshi jogged back up alongside her, their gear bouncing against his back. Takeshi dipped his head side to side, thinking to himself about this precarious position he had landed himself in. He had said that his best attribute was that he was observant, but he didn't mean like that she did! Besides, he had other good attributes about himself, like his deftness in his limbs, his quick wit or his dexterity. He was a lot more than just "an observer" and a part of him couldn't help but feel a tad bit belittled by such a simple categorization. Then again, he was talking to royality, so he wasn't exactly surprised that she saw him so one dimensionally. Then again, he could very well be seeing her just the same, as some one dimensional person. Tis the plight of the poor against the royal, they both tended to stick their noses up at each other.

That last part though, the part about deciding their fate in battle, seriously put a strain on Takeshi's mood. "Gee, no pressure," he muttered under his breath. But a spark ignited inside of Takeshi's gut, responding to the sudden weight that had been put onto his shoulders. His face twisted in grimace, his voice spiking with attitude. "Oy, your the battle-ready warrior princess here! Why the hell am I supposed to be one 'deciding our fates', huh? That's absurd! You're absurd!"
