So, before I make a character, I have a question.  What exactly are the roles staff members can have?  Do you have a list or something of the sort one can look at to get a general idea?

@NyxAvatar69 Well there wasnt specifically a list but I can provide one

 

House Keepers: basically mades they keep the rooms and baths clean. And occasionally will work as hosts/hostesses for the customers

Chefs: These are people who work in the kitchen and provide meals for all the guests and staff members.

Bath Attendant: Bath Attendants keep check on the hot spring waters making sure it is to temp, clean, and even can grind up herbs and dalts to add to a bath if a customer pays for it.

Gardeners: staff members who upkeep the plants on the property. This includes indoor plabts, outdoors, and the garden. They also feed and care for the koi fish in thw pond at the garden.

Guard: these staff members are different they are not forced into servitude by Xidonia and usually are a demon of some kind. They patrol the streets and halls. If a customer or staff member is being too unrulely the guards will deal with them.

Courtesan :  a staff member who had become so popular with customers that they are permanantly assigned to prostitution and are not made to do any other work. They usually have their own staff as thier retainers. Courtesans usually have a higher cost than normal staff members. They are essentially treated as celebrity prostitutes.

While making an oc am I allowed to pick Courtesan? Or Is that a role that you have to earn

Just out of curiosity. We can either make a staff member OR customer, right? Or are we required to make a staff member first, then a customer?

So, I am a doofus and just realized there's a Scenes tab.

Can myself and other willing writers start writing there until Yamatai is considered good to start writing in and taking customers? Or do we all still have to wait for you to declare us good to go? o=

Since this rp fratures around the resort itself it would be preferable if you have at least 1 staff character. Since its unlikely we will be following customers out of the resort area story wise. But if you want to have a customer as well that is fine

A new question, this one to seek an answer for Dreams request!

Would it be possible for there to be some gambling at Yamatai Onsen? Either as something available within the Inn portion of Yamatai, or even as simple as an entertainment room for someone to handle?

As for gambling that seems like a good idea. I will have the casino be a subsection managed by a companion of Xidonia.
