Adventurers guild

"Mhhm...that would be good indeed. At least it would be one less worry here in town. Nothing wrong with making some coin or fame on it though...", she says with a slight smirk on her as she comments on that part. She motions towards the large double doors leading outside, indicating that she is quite ready to leave already if he is."Ohh, lovely. I would hate to have to do the work of two people after all. I can assure you though...I am well prepared to fend for myself. Did you think I would be foolish to be a member and not be able to?", she asks, feeling a tiny bit insulted.

"One less? Uh, for someone who just recently came here, does trouble like this happen routinely?" Abel inquired, though maybe it was a silly question if Karthel had all these guards and still hired Adventurers in a guild like this for solving problems. "I mean, I wouldn't mind some coin myself... Or the fame to take on some better quests. As far as I know, though, I'm just starting from the bottom rung, so I can't get in over my head." With the young lady's gesture, the elf realized it was time to go and now he was wasting time.

"What? No, no, I'd never make snyone do my work! Well, not intentionally anyway..." He blinked as he walked out past the double doors, the tone in her voice just a bit annoyed at him. "Ah! I didn't mean it that way, Lady Xandria! It's just that... I... Oh, nevermind, I'll apologize for the remark. I get the idea if I say the wrong thing, I'll have more than a foot in the grave." He sighed and hung his head, hurrying to catch up with his newest ally.

(OoC: I think we can go back to Lower Class District now? Do you post the changeover or me? o= )

"Trouble like this? No, not really...but there are always some issues. It is unavoidable when many people live together, after all", she explains to him, wondering if he wouldn't know already if he lived here in Karthel. Perhaps it is different in the lower class district - she really wouldn't know as she only goes there if she needs to and not a second longer."If you wish to do work for the guild and actually get paid, then you need to register like everyone else...otherwise, this job here is only landing money in my pocket", she goes on to explain, so he is at least aware of this fact.

She takes the lead in walking and once past the huge doors, she unfolds her umbrella, shielding herself from the hot and warm and nice rays of the summer sun. She does giggle a bit at his remark of being in danger if she spoke too much on that specific subject."Hehe...you would not want to mess with.....him. That's for sure...", she mysteriously utter back.

"I suppose when you word it like that... I grew up in the forests for a time, and we never really had any real problems, but also nowhere near this many people living within them." It felt like this was Abels' attempt at breaking the proverbial ice between himself and Lady Xandria, even though she probably wanted nothing better than to finish the mission as soon as possible. "Hahah, I don't have any problem with that. I'm in it for the outcome, not the money, so we've both got something riding on this." His hands went behind his head as the young woman took point, following her along before he tilted his head.

"Him? Have you got an admirer or someone who cares for you? Well, whoever they are, I don't plan on getting on their bad side! I'll try and watch my mouth a little better!" It couldn't have been any more obvious how lacking the elf was in knowledge on Lady Theraminas von Xandria. For now, his focus was finding the manhole he crawled down prior, and leading her along to find the troublehe found prior.

"Animals tend to not really have the same complex issues as more sentient beings after all", is all she has to really comment on the troubles in the forest. She leaves the other topic of payment unresponded to as it seems to have come to a conclusion and since he is fine with no payment, she happily will claim that all to herself then. Luckily, there is not that far towards the place they are heading towards - maybe just about 20 minutes of walking or so. She smirks a bit at him being unaware of her guardian spirit who can take physical form when she needs him to. There is no reason to bring him out unless it is necessary as the element of surprise most often makes him even more effective."Don't worry. If we are lucky, he won't have to appear and possibly make you anxious, haha", she says, trying to joke, despite not really being that great at social interactions.

After a while they finally arrive together at the open manhole leading into the smelly sewer down below.

"I guess when you put it like that, it's only fair. Though we do kind of have our own issues. For what it's worth though, Karthel looks like a great place to live as long as you don't mind the poverty of Lower-Class or manage to make a name for yourself and move to Middle, I guess. Still, home is where the heart is, and I won't forget how kind the forests were to me." Abel smiled, feeling like Lady Xandria was opening up a little. Of course, this was probably just small talk, and he had to be careful about laying it on too thick. With a name like Lady Xandria, she gave him the impression of nobility, and wasting hee time with idle prattle sounded like something that might bother her.

"... Somehow hearing that just makes me more anxious... Appear makes it sound like he's summoned at will, or invoked." The elf shook his head. Maybe he was just misreading what she said? Whatever the case, after a short walk, he managed to lead her back to the sewer he entered once before. "Be careful on the way down, I think I messed it up a little when I tried climbing back up earlier." He gave the young woman a warning before he began to make his way down first. Just don't look up... That was a death sentence waiting to happen.

Fenrag was struck by the press of people in the streets, as he made his way through the guild district. The city was so busy, and loud, he was rather unaccustomed to it all, and it made him feel almost lost at times.

Taken by wanderlust some months ago, he had been exploring the world at his own pace. Coming recently to the capital, he was experiencing city life for the past few days, not sure if he liked it or not yet. Walking towards the adventures guild, he had recently heard about, he he bit into the apple he was carrying, its juice running down his chin. He stopped out front whistling at the size of the building, in amazement.

Finishing his apple he threw the core into the gutter, and wiped his chin before walking in casually and unassuming. Looking around once through the door.

Whilst there are plenty of people inside of the guild's hallways and lobby, the room is big enough for it to feel less overwhelming members are mostly minding own business, either by themselves or by formed groups discussing various jobs, tactics and so on. No one seems to notice the anonymous stranger who just walked in here. At least for a few minutes before one of the clerks, a massive guy in thick plated armour walks over to Fenrag with a questioning look upon his face."Hello sir. What brings you to the guild? Your face is fully unfamiliar to me, hence why I am wondering what your business here is".

Fen speaks, with a bit of a northern woodsman accent, "Well met, sir. I am called Fenrag amoung people, seeking to apply to the guild here. I hear this is the place to possibly meet new friends, explore the world, and maybe do a little good. Am I at the right place?"

The clerk, a human often in a great and good mood gives a great smile and gently pats the back of Fenrag's back as he hears his desire to do all of those things."Ohhh, dear boy. That is quite true indeed! The Adventurer's guild is a great place to fulfill such needs and I am glad more consider joining our ranks. You will need to check in with the Guildmaster in her office for registration and afterwards you are free to take any job you are seeking to do", he says with gusto in his voice and letting him know how to get to the office if he aims to make good of that opportunity.

The way towards her office takes the young man a few stories upwards to the top floor where eventually he can see a name on the door reading: "Guildmaster: Lady Orthella LuBelle". The way up here has shown how great architecture this place has and impeccable decor and plenty of rooms for various purposes.

After there has been a knocking on her door she utters a simple phrase from the other side:"You may enter".

He could smell the wood, used in the construction. It was old, hard wood. Black walnut perhaps? As he regarded the architecture, that was very pleasing to behold.

He enters when he is given permission. Smartly walking in and laying eyes on the guild master. He couldn't help but notice the ladies attractiveness as his eyes beheld her. There was a air of power about her, something not of this world. Stopping and bowing slightly before her, he got right to the point, not hiding his northman accent,

"I am Fenrag, a druid of the forestlands. I have come to apply to your guild if I may, my Lady."

Lady Orthella has a fairly neutral expression on her face he enters, with her putting down some parchment she seemed to have been writing upon before his entrance into the room. Her office is rather spacious, but not out of need for grandiance, but rather to large amounts of bookshelves with books and documents upon it. Her desk is rather huge as well, but much of the space is filled with even more papers, seals, writing utensils, a few books and despite the large amounts of stuff present on it, still looks pretty organized with plenty of room to spare.

She leans back into her comfortable expensive and luxuriously adorned chair, looking up at him."Greetings and salutations mr. Fenrag and welcome to the local humble guild. Straight to the point I see....I like that. It is a rather short and simple procedure, thankfully. Just a signature on a standard form and you are good to go. Though, I usually do ask newcomers how much experience they have as well...it would be best to not have someone end up dead because they overassessed their abilities or experience after all...", she explains to as she finds the form.

"As to experience, I have a little. Living off the land in the forest. Hunting larger beasts with my pack. I have battled only a little and prefer teamwork to overcome difficulties. I am skilled in woodland magic and healing, if it please you."

He watched her efficient movements, she seemed like a down to business type. Plenty of room on her desk too, he noticed.

The Guildmaster nods slowly and 'hmmmm'ing softly to make him she is listening to his words."I see. So fairly new to the whole business and risk of danger. Nothing wrong with that really, as we all start somewhere. The important part is to try ones best and have the will to get things done. I am guessing you would rather not do missions on your own first?", she asks him, having a few faces in mind who could help him out if he needs some experience under his belt before tackling things more on his own later, if at all.

"Yes, my Lady. Part of the reason I am here is meet new people. Experience new things, besides the rest."

He answered truthfully, not wasting her time. Though he found himself looking into her eyes, there was something exotic there  that he found both worrying and enticing at the same time. He blinked, best to clear his head of any of those notions.

OOC: Do you have any kind of wishes for a type of fellow group member?

"Very well. It is good to know your goals and limitations, after all. We have various types of members with different strenghts and abilities. In order, to give you the optimal partner, I would like to hear what you think would compliment your abilities the most", she says and pushes the parchment for registration even closer, trying to make a subtle hint that it needs to be signed for things to move forward. It is pretty standard, as she mentioned, detailing the dangers this sort of job entails and any injuries, diseases and such are at ones own risk and so on, ending with the Guild getting 10% of all rewards given by clients.

OCC- If it's going to get sexy or romantic, then a female for sure. Otherwise, I'm very open. Goblin, human, elf, whatever you are feeling. Coming across other players at some point could be fun also.

Fen, reaches for a pen, and signs the paper. Nice and neat.

"While maybe not the best at one thing, I'm pretty flexible, able to fight up close by shifting forms, or far by magic. Perhaps a fighter, rogue, or ranger would work? I can heal if we get hurt."

OOC: I know that @Gardsorm is travelling with one of the guild seniors as he wants to do the current world plot. You are free to join them if you want. Just a quick note: Whilst I do like lewd smut, I usually never have it in mind as a first priority or goal. If it happens, I like it to happen organically, if that makes sense? I more meant like a warrior type, spellcaster or some sort of "specialist". MY biggest interest in this is very much very fun and exciting fantasy adventures as well as fun and interesting slice of life stuff. Basically, a good mix of everything.

Orthella nods softly, satisfied with the formalities over with, then draws the signed parchment closer once more and slips it down into a drawer along with a small stack of the same type of document. The guild is slowly growing more and more and she is pleased that they are getting more jobs too as a result."I see. So basically you are like a jack of all trades in a way. That is often pretty useful, especially if you have the ability to heal others. I think I can arrange something for you. It will take a bit of time - so give me a few hours and I am sure we can dig up a good companion", she replies.

OCC- Yep, sounds good to me. Although I am usually on this site for the sexiness. That as a secondary thing in the back, and RP/fun first suits me just fine for this particular setting. Teaming up with another player is probably good, would totally do that. He can travel pretty fast by turning into a hawk or falcon, so send him anywhere.

"My thanks, Lady. Though I can do a bit, I can only do one of those at a time mostly, so it's easier for me to adapt to situations and fill in support for the role that is needed. Aye, I can cure wounds and regenerate comrades, as well as I have a little experience in healing herbs."

"Whilst we figure that out here, you are free to join up with one of the senior members, named Theraminas. She is currently doing a job with someone who came here with information regarding the missing children in town. This is where they were heading as far I was told by the clerk who informed me she left for a task", she says and points out the exact spot on a map of the lower class district.

"Very well. So noble a task deserves support indeed. I feel a change in the tide. We must take the current when it serves, or lose our ventures. I shall depart, my Lady, forthwith."

Not entirely sure of the formality expected, nor customs, he desides on nodding courteously, before turning on his heal and heading out of the door. Making his way toward the slums.

She gives a soft nod in return as he gives his final words and his parting words."Good luck mr. Fenrag. I expect you and lady Theraminas to report any sort of progress you end up with later on. Try your best to be safe", she finishes off and lets him depart in peace.

Fietra Silverclaw had his feet propped up on the table he was sitting at, a mug of mead in hand.   As usual, he was sitting where he could see everything that went on; and had definitely been there long enough to eat a proper meal.     He was lounging around because he hadn't anything pressing to do and rather enjoyed both the food and entertainment that the guild hall offered.  And while there probably was a job or three he could do; he was on the lazy side today, and probably wasn't going far unless it was either a good payoff or he was chasing....tail.

The guild has plenty of people in here, even most times of the day, so one does not need to look long for new and interesting jobs of various danger levels. Of course, other people are more direct and find people personally. One of them being a merchant who seems pretty well-off judging by his luxurious looking clothing and his overall etiquette. He sticks out quite a bit here among the many weathered adventurers who uses this as their "base" for new contracts. He has already talked to a few so far, but with no luck yet. Finally. he arrives at the table where Fietra is sitting at."Good day there sir. How would you like to make a nice bit of coin?", he asks the stranger.
