Another chance - Ranna and Kappei

Recommended Posts

How was he supposed to save this situation!? Did Ranna even realize what she had done? Because she was pretty much the only girl in the trolley right now, everyone around them had been watching them from the start. They had seen her turn around and shift position, and they were expecting something now. He had promised to protect her, but he could only do so by keeping attention away from her.

How long until they reach their destination? one minute? Two minutes? Less? More? He could already hear some low mutters about them not getting it on yet. A few voices were asking what was taking so long, but nobody had said anything about joining in yet. They didn't have to, of course. Once a person decided to get involved, it would just happen, and then escalate at a tremendous speed.

He was left with only two options now. Either keep acting like a shield like he had been and pray the trolley stops before people get tired of waiting, or do something to keep everyone watching happy. Neither option was very appealing. Just waiting and hoping for the best was incredibly dangerous, but what kind of a protector would he be if he started touching Ranna now?

Ranna would have been half tempted to try to change back to a boy here…if she had anything that would help do that.  She hated doing that while wearing girls’ clothes, but she might have accepted that irritation here.  All this because someone could not be bothered to zip his pants up.  She bit her tongue, resisting temptation to snap at the idiots who were not satisfied nothing was happening.  Irritated as she was, she was not going to blatantly provoke them like that.  She also certainly had no intention of trying to give them something to look at to calm them down either.  Why couldn’t there have been at least one ‘other’ girl?  Would have been nice if they could wait a few minutes to find the crowds of other girls, but she understood they were used to, even ‘trained’ in a sense to expect sex whenever any girl was present.  The curse actually being contagious would have been another solution, she unfortunately could not rely on.

Kappei wasn't a mind-reader, but standing this close to Ranna it was pretty easy for him to read her mood. What must have first been embarrassment was now blossoming into full-blown irritation. But this wasn't good. What if she actually decided to snap at people now? What did she think would happen if she started to really act up now? But was there even a way for him to make her calm down now? What should he do?

Of course, he already knew what he had to do. If he grabbed Ranna now, her irritation and anger would be directed at him and him alone. There was a danger that if she fought back, other people would decide to help him, but that was only if he handled her correctly. Ranna would hate him, and then he would have to start all over building up her trust in him again. He leaned down, his mouth close to her ear. "Hey, Ranna. Listen to me for a sec."

"Could you act like a cocktease right now?" His only options were to do nothing, or molest her? That wasn't even funny! He chose option three! He would bet everything on Ranna and trust that they could solve this problem together! The plan would be for Ranna to act as if she was stringing him along and playing a game of seduction with him. This way, it would be natural for them not to do anything extreme, because that was part of the fetish itself. Ranna wouldn't have to do much pretending, though. She was a cocktease simply being her normal self.

Ranna was still at least as embarrassed as irritated, but that suggestion stunned her in confusion for a moment.  She did not even know where to begin in answering that.  In pointing out everything wrong with that.  Even if she wanted to, which she certainly did not, she wouldn’t even know where to begin.  Once she began to come back to her senses, she let him know what she thought of that, quietly snapping back.  “Have you listened to anything I told you?  I’m not a girl, no matter what I look like, I wouldn’t have the slightest idea how to do that even if I wanted to.”  The only thing she had experience doing was something like what she had been doing with her classmates when they met, and she was skeptical that would help here.

Asking Ranna to act like a cocktease had seemed like a really good idea on paper, but Kappei had in his haste to diffuse the situation, forgotten about the girl's temper. She was so caught up in the moment that she wasn't thinking clearly. Did she really believe you had to be a girl to know how to act like a tease? "It's not that difficult. Just start moving."

The murmurs were growing more restless by the second now, and the audience had started to comment on Ranna's appearance and what they'd like to do to her. Thankfully, it was low enough that you could only make out bits and pieces, but what could be heard would probably disgust Ranna to no end and maybe even shock her. Apparently, one of the teenage boys wanted to grab her little plum-shaped butt and rapidly thrust two or three fingers in and out of her anus until she squealed.

"Squirm around a bit as if you are dancing." If they wanted to avoid having to deal with the audience, they would have to act now! It wasn't that Kappei thought what the guy was saying was bad or anything; he just didn't want the girl to be subjected to any of it. No matter what his penis was telling him, he really had started to see her a bit as a little sister.

Ranna did feel she could not do a very convincing job as someone who did not consider herself a girl and had no attraction to males.  She would just look like an idiot and not help the situation here.  What good would come from pretending to be something she was not, doing something she never had done?  Wouldn’t it just provoke them more?  “…Keep digging your grave.”  The things he would need to do to even start making up for this.  Now she kind of wished that whole drafting on Reiko’s part would work out, maybe she could find a girlfriend there and rub that in her ‘fiancé’s’ face.

With her petty revenge fantasies in her head, she very reluctantly tried to follow his advice.  Though she really did not see how that would help, and between her lack of experience and the audience, she could not imagine her squirming was much to look at.

Having spent more than half of her adolescence in female form, Ranna still stubbornly refused to think of herself as a real girl. The irony here wasn't just that she acted and thought like a girl, it was that she didn't seem to fully grasp what boys enjoyed. Maybe this was partially to blame for why her encounter with Detta Franka had been such a bad experience for her. She simply hadn't spent enough time in either form to comfortably say that she understood even her own feelings.

As he had predicted, Ranna's awkward movements had the desired result. The comments changed from complaints and idle chatter about what they wanted to do with her to appreciative comments about how sexy she was. She didn't have to do much or even be good at it as long as she did something; that was the whole beauty of being a tease. She was just wriggling around a bit, twisting and turning her body ever so slightly, but that was all that was needed. Trapped between him and the wall, her skirt brushing up against the tent in his pants as she moved, it looked as if she was dancing for him. Of course, this sort of diversion tactic would only buy them a little time, but it would be enough. By the time the crowd decided they wanted more again; they should be at the next stop!

If Ranna had heard such an argument, she would have likely snapped at it.  She lived some years alternating between male and female bodies, she had gotten used to some aspects of it, but she did not consider it to really be her.  She felt it was a fake experience, she could understand some aspects of a girl’s life better than a boy normally could, but it was still not completely natural.  Sexuality/sex was the biggest aspect she did not feel like a girl, no matter how she was thinking while drunk.  Right now she felt an idiot, not like she was doing anything that should have been sexual.

Thankfully their stop finally came and she was quick to slip out while being careful not to let any of the boys close to her have an opportunity to touch or try to stop her.  Once she was off, she sighed in relief, then started pacing in frustration.  She was quite mad, though not as mad as she could have been.  Once everyone except her and Kappei were gone, she started venting.  “Look, I get it, you were trying to help.  That doesn’t mean that was not completely unnatural for me, I had no idea what I was doing there, I felt like an idiot.  And I remind you that all this was because you could not zip your pants.”  The audience was a major part of the problem of course. She had never had such large group focused on her, if only because of being the only ‘girl’ present.  Even without that, it was hard to express just how uncomfortable it had been and all the reasons it was uncomfortable.

Leaving the trolley, the two of them finally had a chance to calm down and reflect on the situation they had just escaped. What had caused the predicament was her turning around, not his zipper being down. Nobody had asked her to try to close his zipper, and if she had waited just a couple of minutes, he could have done it himself. However, all pointing this out would do was make her upset, so it was better to just accept all the blame for what had happened.

"Ranna, it's okay, we're not on the train anymore." He placed his hand on her shoulder to calm her down. She was clearly distressed and more rattled than she realized. He wanted to hug her, but he knew that would just make her feel worse. "What is important is that you are fine now. You don't need to be an expert on anything as long as you can make other people believe you are."

He wondered if Ranna had heard the comment that boy had made about her ass. Hearing something like that might make her take his advice more seriously, but he wished he could spare her from knowing what some perverted young boys wanted to do to her. "Personally, I don't think there are many, if any, people who always know what they're doing."

Ranna was quite aware of how bothered she was, and the why, as far as she was concerned.  There was the deeper issue here, that this should have been taken as a sign of how uncomfortable she was with being anyone’s wife/fiancé/girlfriend.  She thought about making a sarcastic joke that she needed a drink, but thought there was too much chance of that being taken seriously and leading to a lecture.

She was fully capable of imagining what boys wanted to do to her, she had heard enough at other times, towards her or other girls.  She had thoughts like that sometimes herself, potentially being on the other side of it could not stop that and only made her somewhat conflicted about the thoughts.  She had been going through puberty as both boy and girl at the same time.

She was still irritated, but did not feel like arguing about that.  It would just be a waste of time to try to make the point clearer.  “…Whatever.  I have to get to class, and just hope no one cares enough to try to ask a bunch of questions about last night, or you in general.”  It was not a topic of conversation she really wanted to deal with but unfortunately she thought it was fairly likely.

"Just tell them you belong to me if they ask about us." He told her as they continued walking, fully understanding how it sounded. He had already explained it to her; they wanted people to know that she was with him now. Maybe she didn't want them to think of her as somebody that was doing something lewd with a guy, but wouldn't it be worth it if this made them stop hitting on her?

"Don't worry too much about it." Just like Ranna herself, everyone in her class had the same restrictions put on them. None of them were allowed to do anything other than go back and forth between class and their dormitory for the first two weeks without their chaperone. This made them easy to deal with, but the problem was when that grace period was over. This was why they had to get engaged and then, at a later date, married.

They hadn't been walking for long before they could see the school building that Ranna's homeroom was located in. The building was built in the Brutalist Architecture style mixed with some influence from the Cast Iron Architectural style. In short, it was pretty ugly in Kappei's opinion, but he supposed it served its function as it managed to give off an aura of being both impressively oppressive and ridiculously overcompensating at the same time.

"But you know..." Kappei gave her a sidelong glance as they stopped in front of the entrance to the building. He hadn't had a chance to talk with Ranna about it this morning, and there wasn't really enough time to do it now either. "What happened earlier. We're going to have to decide how to handle things like that in the future."

There was twitch of irritation, Ranna was not about to say she belonged to anyone.  She thought she had made it clear by now that she had not agreed to any of this, was not convinced it would work, or stop anyone from hitting on her, even if she ignored everything about the concept that bothered her.  But there was not time to argue about that right now.  “Keep your pants zipped and that won’t happen again.”  It was that simple as far as she was concerned.  She was not thrilled about being so close to his crotch, but if it had been zipped up, she never would have tried to fix it, and would not have turned around in embarrassment after touching something she had not wanted to.  There was not much to talk about in that regard.

He had half expected it by this point, so it didn't surprise him when Ranna refused to accept any responsibility for what had happened and kept denying that Kappei's strategy had actually worked. If she didn't like something, Ranna would just try to ignore it and pretend that it had never happened.

"No, we really need to talk about this later, and you know it, Ranna." He sighed as the two of them entered the building. Clearly, she didn't want other people to control her life, but if she wanted to make her own decisions, she couldn't continue to deny the situation she was in. It was easy to blame it all on other people, but in the end, her own actions mattered.

"I'll pick you up again when all your classes are over." He patted Ranna and let her walk the rest of the way by herself, only turning around and leaving when he saw her enter her classroom. The issue she claimed she had with his zipper being down seemed even more ridiculous now. It was still open, but either she was unaware of it or simply not bothered anymore. It proved his point; the problem had never been his zipper, but rather her reaction.

That argument was not going to go anywhere.  Ranna would not deny her reaction was not the best idea, the problem was where the fault for that reaction laid, especially after he had encouraged her to do what caused it in the first place.  She felt at least as strongly about her opinion of that as he did his.  He could try to talk about it, but nothing good was likely to come out of it.  The reason she did not care anymore was she did not have to look at it, so close to her, anymore.  That and they were about to separate for a while.  There was no point to try to convince him of that now though, nor time to do it.  That would be another irritation for later.

It was a relief to finally be temporarily free of all that, both Kappei and Reiko. Class might have its own inconveniences, but they were less annoying in a way.  Nothing trying to change her life with ridiculousness like marriage, at least.  She took her seat and finally relaxed.  If it was like any other day, she would be ignored.  She would have peace until the annoyances tonight.  The pointless shopping, then meeting the rest of her new apparent team.

It was still a couple of minutes before the class would start, so most students were busy hanging out and talking with each other while they waited for the teacher. The lion's share of people in Ranna's class were new to the school and had only joined the academy when they started high-school. Still protected by their chaperone, they had not yet been able to experience the school to the fullest, so there wasn't really any hankypanky taking place right now. That didn't mean that they weren't curious, and most of the conversations reflected this.

What Ranna had done was actually against the rules, so she had become a bit of a talk-subject. As she sat down at her desk, the boys that had tried hitting on her yesterday gave her a crestfallen look before looking away. The girls looked at her with poorly hidden curiosity, though. Some seemed a bit jealous, but not a single one showed even an ounce of hostility.

"Congratulations!" A blonde girl with her hair tied in twintails told her. "You're so cool!" A mousy looking brown-haired girl chimed in. "You have to tell us everything that happened! A rather dark-skinned girl demanded, her glasses fogging up as she breathed heavily. Maybe there were people that would dislike her in the future, but at least in this class everyone had been rather friendly to her.

"Cordy's right, Ranna! You are totes cool!" The blonde agreed, speaking again. Her long blonde hair reached her butt and she wore heavy white make-up and white mascara around her eyes. Her lips were shining from lip-gloss and her blouse was unbuttoned far enough to show a bit of cleavage. "It was like one of those fairy tales! Your knight in shining armor sweeps in and like saves you from the goblins!"

All the other girls were nodding vigorously and were chiming in with words of agreement. The blonde was styling herself as something of a gyaru or gal, and it was obvious from how the other girls were surrounding Ranna's desk that this girl was the unofficial leader of the group.

There was a moment of silence.  Ranna had of course considered the possibility, even probability, of being asked about last night.  But she did not expect anything quite like this.  Everyone in the class had been told about the curse, though she did not know how much each of them believed it.  She had not had any degree of casual conversation with any of these girls yet, nothing more than maybe occasional greetings or talking about class related things.

”It’s not as impressive as it might look…the guy’s apparently a friend of my older sister.”  She had no idea how much she wanted to say, how worth it it was to try to point out she could not appreciate it in the way they might have.  “I’m not really sure what’s going on in his head.  The things he is already talking about.”  She was reluctant to mention his idea about engagement/marriage or to try to explain why she was not comfortable with it.  Would they really understand?

”Anyway, he decided to take me to take me the recreation area and an overly fancy restaurant there.”  She was sure they would all recognize that as a ‘date’ as much as she wished it was not.  “It was a bit much for me…”. She supposed she might as well be honest about what happened next, they wanted to know everything, after all.  She could see a wide variety of possible reactions.  “So I ordered a drink, and they gave it to me without trouble.  After that, my memory of the rest of the night gets fuzzy.  He took me back to his room, but I did not sleep with him.”  She was sure at least some of them were wondering about that, she could not blame them, in a place like this.

The crowd of girls had grown, and now all the girls in Ranna's class were gathered around her; no boys were allowed to get even close to her. Despite her worst fears, the girls in her class had taken a real liking to her. They had been told about her curse, and while some of them had been a bit jealous of how beautiful she was, they had never thought badly of her. Just like how the boys in her class had quickly accepted her as a girl they wanted to hit on, all the girls had accepted her as a girl that they could hang out with.

"That's right! That's right! Any guy that thinks you are going to kiss him just because he takes you on a date is no good!" The girl called Cordelia said, her grey eyes practically sparkling with admiration. Her proclamation was met with a chorus of approval. It wasn't that the girls in Ranna's class were less interested in boys than any other girls at the school, but since most of them had just joined the academy, they had not had enough time to be truly corrupted yet.

"The recreation zone? That's forbidden" The rather dark-skinned girl was holding her glasses now, wiping them with a flower-patterned handkerchief. "You really are a bold rebel, Lady Ranna!"

"Lady Ranna?! hahahaha that's so funny! You're so funny, Amelia!" The blonde leader of the group laughed. Amelia gave her a dirty look and put her glasses back on. Rather than being interested in the Prince of the story, all the girls seemed to be far more interested in the female lead, Ranna herself.

"F'sure, but like I think she is more like a goddess?" The blonde continued, earning a murmur of agreement from all the girls around them again. Ranna wasn't just beautiful, she had this wonderful atmosphere around her, as if she was the protagonist of a story or something. Before anything more could be said on the subject, the teacher walked in. He looked tired and his clothes were a bit disheveled, but he still had an air of authority around him. The girls, not wanting to be a bother, excused themselves and made it back to their seats, leaving Ranna alone with her thoughts again.

That had been a rather unusual experience.  Ranna certainly did not see it way they did.  Sure, it kinda vaguely had a fairy tale feel on the surface, but she did not feel like a princess.  It was a pleasant surprise, she supposed, but she was cautious.  She had to see how things developed over a longer term, what happened after they all were exposed to wider campus life for a time.  It was not like she did not want friends, or more, she was just careful about trusting anyone too quickly, before knowing much about them.  About the only person on campus she had any sort of trust in was Reiko, and that was complicated by usual sibling tensions, as well other things, specific to them.

She pushed it to the back of her mind during class, once they were over for the day, she quietly slipped out.  Any questions they might have had about what she was going to do tonight could wait.  She assumed she would not see any of them on the team, Reiko had already told the others what was happening.  If any of them were on the team, they likely would have said something about it this morning.

She moved steadily but relatively slowly to meet Kappei, not really caring who got there first.  She did not especially like the feel of this, what it would look like to anyone that saw it.  It was still too date-ish But she was stuck on this path, at least for a while.

To many, chaos itself is synonymous with randomness and unpredictability. However, as mathematicians would argue in later decades, this was not the case. Within what appears to be just random chaos, there are complex patterns and repetition. One such mathematical theory was called the butterfly effect. However, unlike what had been popularized in culture, it didn't actually suggest that the removal of a butterfly could change the whole world. What it did suggest was that changes at the beginning of something, even when small, could have a big effect on the outcome itself.

Cursed when she was only ten years old, Ranna had been given a chance to become familiar with and accustomed to her female body long before enrolling at the academy. She had always had the potential to do great things. Born with a high intellect and a strong charisma, all that was needed for her to blossom was the right conditions.

Kappei was waiting outside of her classroom, giving Ranna a small wave and a smile when she saw him. The girls in her class were also smiling but didn't crowd her now, keeping some distance so that she could go on a date again. Ranna wasn't just one of them now; she was becoming their idol.

Ranna did not feel especially enthusiastic about this, and was not going to put on a show for her new apparent admirers.  She had honestly hoped for more of a break from this.  A night to herself in her room, maybe a little studying, but otherwise resting.  Kappei and Reiko were both making sure that would not be the case though.  She slowly walked up to Kappei without anything to say at the moment, just wanting to get this all over with, and hoping tomorrow night she would get her peace, or at least peace from this.

"Shall we get going?" Kappei greeted Ranna, figuring she didn't have any great desire to chitchat in front of her classroom. Not waiting for a reply, he started leaving the building, leading his date towards the trolley again. The train was not as packed at this hour as it had been that morning, but there were more people on it than there had been yesterday when it rained. The trolley was filled with both girls and boys, and they could immediately see people smooching and touching each other as they got on. Moans could be heard from further down into the wagon, but staying next to the doors again spared them from having to watch anyone having sex. The train ride continued like this for several minutes until it pulled up to a halt and Kappei and Ranna could climb off.

"Any trouble in class?" Kappei asked, finally having grown tired of the wall of silence that had existed between them. It was still a couple of minutes' walk to the coffee shop where Reiko was waiting for them, and he wanted to make sure that she was okay.

OOC: I speed things up a bit like I mentioned in the pm. I hope that is okay.

Ranna quietly followed onto the train.  The current surroundings were better than this morning, but this time they reminded her of last night.  She still did not understand what was going through her mind back then, somewhat jealous of those girls, wanting to join in.  She shook it off as the confusion of being drunk, she had not thought anything like that before, she was not thinking of it now.  Not in the same way at least, but she could not pretend she felt nothing about being surround by sex/near sex like that.  She was not staring at it this time.

"Class was fine."  She did not really want to describe what happened, especially at this point.  If it continued to go well, if one or more of those girls turned out to be a real friend, she would relax more.  But at this point it was still too soon to say.  "I did not try to hook you up with any of the girls in class yet.  You'll have to wait on that still."  She was still just semi-serious about that.  She had been tempted to mention it earlier, but was thrown off by the talk of things like fairy tales and princesses.  She did still believe that everyone would be happier if she focused Kappei's romantic/sexual desires towards someone else.

Kappei gave Ranna a blank look, then chuckled. Setting him up with one of her female classmates? That was actually kind of funny. Why would he ever want to hook up with a fourteen or fifteen year old kid? Certainly there would be a lot of girls that age that would be interested, but exactly what would he get out of it?

"That's okay. Looking after one little girl is enough for me." He joked back, only half serious. Ranna was super cute, so it was quite enjoyable to be around her. They still had to have that little chat about how to deal with situations like the one that had happened on the trolley this morning, but he had to choose the right moment to bring it up again.

Walking down the narrow street, the two of them soon found themselves standing in front of Café Nova. The red and chocolate brown brickwork gave the shop a wholesome and inviting feeling, but the coffee itself was the main draw. Aeropressed and served in small white coffee cups, it had a sweet aroma that was far less bitter than regular coffee. Kappei pushed open the door and held it ajar for Ranna.

OOC: Reiko should be waiting inside, sitting at a table by herself with a cup of coffee.

Someone who kept going on about engagement/marriage was someone who should have been more interested as far as Ranna was concerned.  The other girl would probably be more interested than she was too, or that had been her assumption before they talked to her.  Well, it would be interesting to see how they adjusted to open campus life and diving into the constant sexuality.  They would get into that before she would anyway, the question how far any of them wanted to drag her into 'girl talk' afterwards.  "Yeah right.  You might as well just admit it already.  I'd be helping you out."  Thinking that about their age difference made sense of course, but she did not really believe he thought that way, not completely at least.

When they went inside, Reiko was waiting for them.  Seeing her made Ranna slightly irritated, if only because she knew her sister would gloat if she knew about her morning class experience.  "Lets not waste too much time here, get everything over with."  They had spent enough time together eating/drinking together recently.  Not that she was looking forward to clothes shopping, but at least it was different.

"Had an interesting experience earlier?"  Reiko half asked, half observed as she drank her coffee, recognizing the signs of Ranna not wanting to talk about something that she felt reinforced Reiko's advice/observations.  Though she was not going to try too hard to pry it out, that generally was not successful.  Not pushing was more likely to get her to mention it one way or another, eventually.

Kappei was curious about what Ranna meant when she suggested he expected her to help him out. Was she thinking about something lewd again? He supposed that was normal here at this academy, but did she still not understand how serious he was about helping her? He had given her his word that he would protect her. Did she still really think he planned to take advantage of her?

As they stepped into the coffee shop, Kappei greeted Reiko with a nod. Unless Ranna's older sister wanted them to stay for a bit and talk things over first, it would be better if they just went shopping immediately. Once Ranna had gotten the special underwear for her leotard, they could decide on what else to buy her.

"No, nothing of note really." Kappei told Reiko, replying to her question. He didn't want to keep Reiko in the dark, but he seriously doubted that Ranna wanted to talk about what had happened in the trolley after they had left his apartment. "I agree with Ranna, we will have more time for shopping if we get started right away."
