Welcome to the Utopian Curse

(Photograph of Saint Martin (island). Photographer unknown)

Blinking against the harsh light of the sun above you, you awaken to find yourself on an island. An island you have no recollection of travelling to or arriving at. Scanning the area you can tell only that the island is a tropical location, with palms trees swaying gently in a light breeze, and the fresh smell of the ocean on the clean air.

Unknown to you is the fact that you have been taken by beings to this strange island, taken from your bed and planted here on this small tropical island. But what for? There are no clues, so you are left to only guess as to your reason of being here. A dream, perhaps? An experiment? Perhaps merely a kidnapping?

A strange occurrence comes about when you meet other ‘survivors’ on the island. It becomes apparent that the time space continuum is being crossed. People are being taken from planets and time lines not of this world, and placed here alongside you. But why?

Upon this tropical island there is limited technology. Resources are only what the island can produce for you to survive. Other ‘survivors’ litter the island and some may possibly not be as friendly as you would assume, or even dare to hope.

Survival is the priority. Teamwork a secondary point. Will the ‘survivors’ of the island come together to survive and build a community to ensure safety and peace? Or will they fight for space and resources, shedding blood upon the golden sands of the tropical island?

What will be YOUR tale in this strange, yet beautiful island?

The first sounds that assaulted Lexi when she first regained consciousness was not, as she expected, the constant hum of ship engines, but of the shrill shrieks of insects. Groggy at first, she briefly wondered if it was her co-pilot pulling a prank on her. But something felt very wrong. The air was warm, with a hint of moisture. There was also a gentle breeze that ruffled her hair gently and a sound she had not heard in a long time. The gentle rasp of leaves swaying in the wind. A loud gasp escaped her lips as Lexi sat up, her eyes wide and alert as she was no longer in the slumbering state she had once been in. The blonde girl looked around her, every sense alert and her slim frame taunt in readiness. She could hear blood rushing through her veins as her heart beat frantically in her chest, which rose and fell along with her laboured breathing. What was going on? The last thing she had remembered was stumbling into her cabin after a 48-hour shift and collapsing onto her bed without even bothering to unclothe herself. Her co-pilot had called a sicky and Lexi had been forced to be the pilot for just over 48 hours. She had been so exhausted at the end that she barely made it to her tiny cabin. And now she awoke… here. Looking up, past what she vaguely recognised as palm trees, she saw a breathtakingly blue sky. Had the sky always been that startling blue?

The strange, eerie silence made her aware of other sounds past the shrieks of insects. Waves. A beach? Lexi turned her head in the direction of the sound, and gingerly stood up, planting her feet firmly on the ground. Had her co-pilot dumped her here as a practical joke? If so, it wasn’t funny! At least she had had the common decency to keep Lexi’s overalls and boots on. The blonde, human girl glanced down at her frame hugging black overall and her knee high boots. Breathing a sigh of relief, Lexi began towards the sound of the ocean. It didn’t take her long, a few minutes at most, before she reached the edge of the golden sanded shore. Squinting at the sunlight that harshly reflected off of the smooth sand, Lexi looked off over the water with a soft gasp. Never had she seen water so clean and blue! It was incredible! Lexi swore she even saw fish swimming around in the water. For several minutes she stood, stunned into silence by the beautiful scene before her. It was almost unreal. Almost like what one would see looking at a holiday advert for a tropical world. Tearing her eyes regretfully away from the sand and sea, she looked back at the palm trees that were lining the sand line. At least, they looked like palm trees. Lexi wasn’t sure if she was on Earth, or another planet. Either way, she needed to hunker down and wait for rescue. Hopefully that stupid co-pilot of hers would turn up soon and take her away. Lexi would never hear the end of it.

Unknown to Lexi, her disappearance had only just been noticed, and the alarm sounded. Unknown to the blonde human, her co-pilot had nothing to do with this. And she was on this tropical island, all on her own, with no way of a rescue. Never again will she be able to traverse the expanse of space or fly another ship.

Lexi moved slightly inland, keeping close to the shore and the water source it held. While she couldn’t drink it as is, she knew enough survival to get fresh water for herself at least. After a little wondering, she came across a plant with leathery looking leaves. After a few moments consideration, she tore some of the leaves off before bringing them back to a little area she had chosen. It was a tiny clearing with palm trees framing it. The reason there was a small clearing, was that there was sand in the middle, but Lexi didn’t mind that. It was good for a fire, without endangering the trees. She knelt down and fashioned a small contraption that when she put salt water in, would evaporate into clean water, and salt. The water for her to drink, and the salt to season any food. Once done, she began searching around for anything useful nearby. Her search yielded several rocks which she promptly put in a ring for a fire, and a few old and cracked cocoanut shells. Marvelling at her luck, she used one to go down to the shoreline and get some salt water. Luckily her boots were waterproof so she didn’t have to remove them and risk getting a cut which could become infected. Returning to her little camp, she put some water in her contraption and set it nearby her fire.

Her next search was a little harder. Finding dry wood near a beach was harder than she had imagined, but finally she managed to get at least a couple of armfuls which might be able to last her the night, providing she was forced to stay here. Lexi hoped that she would be long gone by then. Sitting cross legged by her small ring of stones, she picked up a piece of what looked like stringy bark. Carefully, she tore it into string until it was as fine as hair. Lexi managed to get a few splinters in the process, but overall she was happy with the results. Next, she picked up a larger piece of wood, that was mostly slit down the middle. Tucking the hairy wood into the cut, she hollowed a little hole in the sand before laying the wood on top. Lexi grabbed another stick, planting it firmly in the middle of the hair wood and twisting it hard and fast.

It was not as easy as she had hoped. There were a few times where she got close, but not quite to light that wood. Sweat beaded on her forehead and she muttered curses underneath her breath. Her arms burnt with the effort of twisting this piece of wood. Lexi almost didn’t see the sun beginning to descend in the sky. Finally, she blew one last time and saw a flicker of a flame. Delighted, she gently blew on it to encourage it to life. Finally, the flame was cackling gleefully under her tender ministrations, and was gently moved to the ring of stones. Slowly, Lexi added pieces of wood until she had a respectable fire going. Lexi had no sooner sat back to admire her handiwork than her stomach growled in protest at being neglected for so long.

“Oh… wonderful… where the hell am I meant to get food from?” Lexi grumbled. The blonde looked up at the sun, before looking over the ocean with a sigh. Then, she sighed again and went in search for food. Thinking that her best bet would be to find some kind of water pool, she searched along the beach. Finally, she found one where the tide had just retreated from the pool. Peering inside, she grinned as she saw several fish looking creatures and something she swore was a crab of sorts. Kneeling on a rock beside the pool, she rolled up her sleeves, her sharp eyes fixed on the creatures in the pool. When a crab was close enough, she dipped her hand in and neatly picking it up off the pool bottom. She laid it upside down next to her, glancing around for a rock to kill it with. Finding one, she picking it up and smashed the crab several times until it stopped moving. Shuddering at the wasted life, Lexi turned her eyes back to the pool. One of the fish was yellow in colour, swimming around rather lazily. A few of them were rather large, almost as long as her arm. Deciding it best to try for the smaller ones, she made several attempts at catching them. They were surprisingly slippery, and she was forced to dig her nails into their scaled flesh. It made her shudder every time. By the time she had finished, she had four fish and the crab. Using a leathery leaf she had brought with her, she wrapped her dinner up and took it back to her camp. Along the way, she searched for wood for her fire, managing a few as she did so. When she returned to her camp, her fire had died down somewhat and was threatening to extinguish itself. Not wanting to go through the pain of getting another flame going, she gently coaxed it back to life before looking down at her catch. Sighing softly, she picked up one of the fish. She had nothing to skin it with, so she would be forced to cook it with it on. Unfortunately, it needed gutting. Looking at the rocks around her, she picked up the sharpest she had in an attempt to gut the fish she had. It was a messy job, and far from perfect, but finally she had taken the guts out and it was ready for cooking. Picking up a stick, she impaled the fish on it, before sticking it in the sand, hovering near the fire. Using some of the water in her cocoanut shells, she cleaned her hands, before settling down to get comfortable.

The sky was beginning to darken, the sun a fiery glow on the horizon. Almost transfixed, Lexi watched the sun as it sank lower and lower into the waves, disappearing from her view. The orange glow the sun made in the sky gave way to brilliant blues and purples as the stars began winking into existence. Soon, all the light she had left was that of her fire. Lexi stared longingly at where the sun had descended, wishing that it would appear once more to light this strange and alien land. Never before had she felt this lonely and isolated. As much as she loved her own company, she did like the thought of being able to go to other people when she wanted. But here… she was all alone. Biting her lip, she turned her head towards the fire and her cooking fish. She turned her meal around to make sure that it was heated properly, before, almost absently, she glanced up at the sky. Her eyes did a double take and her mouth dropped at the stunning display that stretched from one horizon to another. Never before had she seen stars so stunning! The sky was a carpet of twinkling stars that seem to call to her. Lexi’s hands twitching, wishing that she was flying among the giant balls of fiery gas from one end of the Galaxy to the next. Never before had the urge taken her so strongly before…

A popping snap startled her, and she glanced around wildly for a sign of danger. It took her a few moments to realise that it was her fire crackling. Giving a sigh of relief, she leaned forward to check her fish. Deciding that it was cooked enough, she picked up the stick and tore into the flesh. Her blue eyes widened and she made a moan deep in her throat. She usually hated fish, but this was amazing! And the skin was the best part! Savagely, she ate the fish, just leaving the head alone. She pulled the remains off and threw them down the beach away from her camp so she wasn’t visited by unwanted scavengers. Still feeling hungry, she gutted and impaled another fish, as well as putting the crab next to the fire to cook. It felt like forever before they were cooked, and she hungrily stuffed herself with the tasty morsels of food. The crab had a strange, sweet taste about it, but the flesh was tougher than she had thought. Nevertheless it was as delicious as the fish. When she had finished her meal, she took the remaining fish and hid it away at the root of a tree, behind leaves and shrubs. Hopefully no animals would find it. That done, she fed the fire more wood before curling up beside it. She shifted a few times, making a hollow out of the sand to get herself more comfortable. Well, today had not really gone as planned. She was still here, after all. No rescue ship here to take her away. She was to spend a lonely night on this beach. It was disturbingly quiet and devoid of the comforting sounds of technology. Just the waves, the insects and the rustling of leaves. The change disturbed her and made her feel even more uncomfortable than the silence of space. A chill crept over her. What if no one was coming back for her? What if she was left here… alone… forever? Lexi shuddered and screwed her eyes shut, trying to force those thoughts from her mind. Of course she wasn’t going to be here forever. A few days at most. She hoped. Lexi sighed mournfully and tried to settle down for the long wait until dawn.

The next morning, Lexi awoke with a start, almost forgetting where she was for a few moments. She brushed sand off of her overall suit. She slowly looked around, her ears sharp and listening at every sound. All she could hear was the singing of insects and the rasping of the ocean waves. She groaned softly, before letting out a sigh. She was going to go mad with loneliness by the time they rescued her. Sighing, she revived her dying fire and uncovered the remaining fish and cooked them up. When they were done, she hungrily ate them before licking her fingers clean. She checked the condensation contraption for clean water and managed to get several mouthfuls. But it wasn’t enough. She needed to find a bountiful source of fresh water otherwise she was going to dehydrate easily in this heat. Sighing, she put some more wood on her fire and returned to the treeline of the beach. It was the easiest path and she was shielded from the sun by the leaves of the palm tree-looking vegetation. Lexi paused for a moment, staring at the waves that lapped lazily against the shore. It was her hope that she would be able to find some form of civilisation. She appeared to be on Earth, but there was something about it that just didn’t feel right. With a long sigh, Lexi began walking down the shore, trying to keep a mental map of where she was treading. If she was unable to find what she was looking for, then she at least wanted to find her way back to the camp she had made. Lexi peered into the forest that passed on beside her. The foliage appeared to be Earth-like. There were some trees that she didn’t recognise, that looked strange and alien to her. With a sigh she looked out across the water, trying to see if she could spot another land-mass. But as far as she could tell, there wasn’t any. Lexi turned to look at the path she was taking, continuing to move along, praying that she was able to find something.

After walking a good distance along the beach, Lexi stopped suddenly, as a new sound came to her. The tumbling rush of water. Her eyes swept the sky, noticing that the star was high in the sky. She had been walking for a few hours. Her throat was burning with thirst and her stomach growled at her. Turning her attention back towards the new sounds, Lexi allowed her ears to guide her to the source. It was a river, that seems to burst from the thick jungle, tumbling over rocks before emptying itself into the ocean. The blonde woman moved inland slightly, following the course of the river until it was no longer turbulent. She looked at the water. It looks so crisp and clear, but her caution informed her that while it looked safe to drink, it might not be. However, she could see fish swimming around, fighting against the current of the fast moving river. Glancing around to make sure that she was safe, she felt down by the riverbank, reaching down into the water. It was surprisingly easy, as the current was forcing the fish back slightly, even as they fought vainly against it. So it was easy to simply pluck them out and flip them onto the ground before her where they flopped around. She had managed to pull at least five fish from the river, all at least as long as her arm. She should remember this spot; it was an easy food source. Using a stone, she easily and quickly killed the fish before using a vine that she spotted hanging from a tree, to tie them up. Then, returning to the beach, she headed back to her camp.

When she arrived, her fire was almost dead. Wearily, she coaxed it back into life before she checked her water. It was only enough for a few mouthfuls. Wincing, she gulped it down before she putting more water into it to evaporate. She needed to return to that river and gather fresh water there so that she could boil it to make it safe to drink. Using the seawater was not a good alternative. With a sigh, Lexi pulled one of the large fish towards her, using her sharp rock to cut it open so that she could gut it. Throwing the waste aside, Lexi put it on a flat rock beside her fire to cook. While it was cooking, she wrapped the rest of the fish in leaves, before hiding them. While waiting for her fish to cook, she explored the forest around her, seeing if she could find something edible. She encountered a vine that grew around a tree, with large red fruit. Reaching up, she tugged it from the vine easily. It must be ripe. She squeezed it experimentally. It felt soft but she wasn’t sure if she should eat it. She turned back towards her camp, taking the fruit with her. Surely if it had any toxins, or poisons, they could be countered by cooking them. But then again, perhaps not. Lexi sat herself down and turned the fish over so that it would cook evenly. She stared out at the ocean, lost in thought. When were her crew going to come back for her? She had been here for at least a day. Surely that was long enough for a prank.

She tried not to think about the fact that it might be possible that she had been abandoned here on this lonely island. Why would they even do such a thing? She had never done anyone any wrong. Granted, her co-pilot was often envious of Lexi, and harboured a deep dislike of her mainly due to her heritage. However there was no way that the envious bitch could have left Lexi down on this planet without anyone noticing. They would have stopped her, or at the very least forced her to turn around and return. Absently, she lifted the fruit to her lips and took a bite. She inhaled sharply, before giving a soft groan at the taste of the sweet flesh that seemed to melt on her tongue. It was juicy, too, the succulent liquid dribbling down her chin. Greedily, she pushed it back into her mouth with her fingers, before she began to tear at the flesh, hungrily eating it. She didn’t care of it was toxic, or poisonous. It was delicious and thirst quenching. When she had finished, she was left with a large, wrinkled seed. She knew she couldn’t eat that, so she tossed it back into the jungle before licking up every trace of the sweet liquid. She should find more of them; they were the best fruit she had ever had.

When she had finished it, she let her hands drop down into her lap with a sigh, her deep blue eyes clouded with worry. She really hoped that they would come back for her soon. She could only survive here for so long. She wasn’t even sure if there were any predators, or hostile people. Shuddering, she looked about, her every sense straining to try and detect anything out of the ordinary. There wasn’t. Just the simple crash of the sea against the shore, and the rasp of the wind through the leaves and the crackling of her fire. She turned back to her fire, seeing that the fish she had put beside it appeared cooked. Pleased, she pulled it towards her, tearing the flesh from the bones and eating  it hungrily. When she had finished, she carefully went down to the sea and cleaned her hands. Looking up, she saw that the star was very high in the sky now, and the air had turned very hot and humid. It was sapping at her energy, and now that she had had something to eat and drink, she felt very drowsy. With a yawn, she returned to her camp, putting more wood on the fire before she curled up next to it. Within moments, she was deeply asleep.

Hours later, she was awoken suddenly as she felt a light pressure against her arm. Snapping her eyes open, her body tensing as she reacted to a possible danger. However, all she saw on her arm, was a small, golden creature. It sat upon her arm that was stretched on the sand before her face. The creature tilted its head at her, its faceted eyes glowing with purple and red colours. Lexi was acutely aware of a strong sense of curiosity, as well as an intense hunger that caused her stomach to twist. However she was too engrossed in the tiny creature to notice. It looked like a dragon; a very tiny one. It looked no larger than the palm of her hand. It had two fragile looking wings that were half-furled, as if wary of her. Its head was triangular in shape, its eyes appearing as it made up of hundreds of small facets that shifted and moved, the colours rippling across it. It had an eye ridge that swept over the eyes to curve into two small knobs, like miniature horns yet not quite grown. Going down it's coily curved back were ridges, that started at the top of its head before disappearing towards the end of its tail into a fork. It had four legs, in addition to its wings. The back legs looked longer than the front, as if they were primarily used to launch the creature into the sky whereas the front ones were designed for holding things. It's skin looked like some kind of hide; soft to the touch. It was gold in colour, seemingly shimmering in the afternoon sun. It tilted its head again at her, letting out a soft chirp, as if greeting her. Giving a small smile, Lexi responded,

“Hello.” The creature let out a trill, its eyes whirling faster. It tilted his head again, before stretching its neck out towards her, its nose almost touching her own. Lexi laughed softly, causing the creature to pull back, chittering at her as if scolding her for making noise. Again, she was suddenly overwhelmed with an intense hunger, although she had eaten not long ago. It felt like she had not eaten in days. Despite her sleep addled confusion, she wondered if it was the creature that was sat upon her arm.

“Are you hungry?” She asked it. The creature hummed and the hunger became sharper. Slowly, Lexi pushed herself to her feet, trying not to disturb the little creature, who watched her carefully from where it had jumped off her arm, near the fire. Her movements slow, Lexi pulled a fish from her precious food store and used her sharp stone to gut it. As the entrails of the fish came out, the little golden dragon suddenly hissed, jumping forward towards her. To Lexi’s surprise, it began to tear at the entrails ravenously, almost mumbling in its haste to tear it apart and eat it.

“My, you are hungry, aren’t you?” Lexi said with a smile. While it might not be a good idea to use her food up feeding a wild animal, she knew where these fish were and could get more. At the moment, the company was more valuable than the food. While the creature was distracted with the guts, Lexi was able to tear off pieces of the fish that were more manageable for a creature this size to eat. It was eating so quickly that Lexi doubted it was even pausing to chew its food. By the time she had torn half of the fish apart, the little golden creature had finished the guts and now turned its red eyes towards the pile of fish meat that Lexi collected. With a laugh, Lexi piece up a piece of the fish and offered it to the tiny creature. With a greedy hiss, it leapt towards her, easily swallowing what she had given him. She was correct in tearing it into smaller pieces. Lexi began feeding the creature piece by piece, eventually cradling the little dragon in the palm of her hand as she hand fed. Eventually, after the edge of its hunger had been sated, it let out soft chirps and even chewed its food. Finally, with its belly bulging, it let out a little burp before it curled up asleep in her hand. With a strange smile, she gently stroked along its back, getting a soft croon in response. Its skin was warm and soft to the touch. Lexi looked up towards the sun, noticing that it was approaching evening. Gently putting the little creature in her lap, she gutted another fish and put it on the fire to cook. She then returned her attention to the fish she had been cutting up, intending on finishing the job so that her little friend could have something to eat later.

When that was done and she had wrapped the meat up in a leaf, the fish that Lexi had put on the fire to cook was done. She ate it, too tired to go back into the jungle for more of the fruit. So far, she didn’t feel like she had been poisoned, but she would rather wait until morning to determine that. When she had eaten her fish, she watched the sun set on the horizon, disappearing from view. The little creature roused suddenly, creeling with hunger. Tenderly, Lexi fed the creature with the fish she had cut up earlier until the point where it passed out again. With a sigh, Lexi curled up in front of her fire, closing her eyes. She felt the little dragon nuzzle against her before she fell deeply asleep.

The next morning, she was awoken by the small dragon, who was creeling with hunger. With a sigh, Lexi put one of her last remaining fish beside the fire before cutting up the last fish for the little dragon. Once it had eaten its fill, it sat upon her shoulder, chirping sweetly into her ear as she moved into the jungle, searching for more of the redfruit. Once she had found the vine, she gathered several the fruit before going back to her fire and the fish. By the time the fish had finished cooking, the little dragon had wrapped its tail around her throat and had curled up against her neck fast asleep. Lexi ate her fill of the fish, before chewing on one of the redfruits. The little dragon had caused her food to dwindle so unless she wanted to starve, she had to return to the river. Rising carefully and taking several redfruits with her, she left her camp and headed towards the river. She retraced her steps along the beach, her shoes sinking slightly in the fine, warm sand.

  • 2 years later...

Pain. So much pain. It spread across her entire body, although most of it resided within her head. A throbbing, aching, annoying pain. Why did everything hurt? She could hear her heartbeat within her head. Did she die again?

Again?

Ocean waves crashed against nearby rocks. In an instant everything felt clear. Calm. Relaxed. No more pain. Red orbs flickered open only to instantly squint as sunlight bore down into them. A single paw was raised up, shielding her face. Another curled into a fist at her side, clenching at hot sand. Very slowly she sat herself up, dried granules sliding off her form.

Where am I?

Yes, where indeed? Nothing was familiar to her. Not even herself. She didn't know what she was. She didn't know who she was save for a name. She didn't know why she was here. She was just lost. Utterly and completely lost. But she wasn't afraid. If anything she felt a little liberated.

As the glare of the sun's rays faded away Nilaa finally got a good look around herself. She was naked. That felt normal for some reason. She was on a beach. A very small inlet with pristine white sand. In front of her lay an unending pool of blue water. Sloped up behind her were some hills. Somehow it all felt familiar to her and yet she also knew that this place was not one she'd visited before.

With a soft huff the beastly girl wobbled up to her feet! Arms stretched out overhead, tail whipping around behind her as it worked on popping free a few bubbles of held tension. And then she was off, crawling on all fours up towards the crest of the hill overlooking the little beach. When she finally reached it Nilaa's ears lifted up in excitement. Before her stretched hills for miles on end. On a small peninsula nearby lay some tropical vegetation. In another direction lay a river, and right beyond the river lay forests stretching off towards distant mountains.

Her head tilted up, nose sniffing at the air. From where she was she could tell that the river's water was fresh. Fresh water meant prey. Prey meant food. A decision was made: she would follow the river inland for as far as it went. If she discovered the source then perhaps she could locate even better feeding grounds. But first she needed to eat.

It took roughly half an hour for Nilaa to reach the river. Her movements were a little sluggish given the lack of food, but more importantly she was taking her time. The land was, as best as she could manage, memorized. She kept eyes and ears and even her nose out for food. More specifically, for animals. But she hadn't managed to spot any yet. Thankfully she would not need to wait too long. As she suspected the river was filled with fish! With a leap the wolf pounced right on into the clear quick flowing waters, snatching up a couple of the wriggly creatures within her paws! Heads were removed with a single bite each, although the rest of each creature soon followed. She dunked her face underwater, drinking in enough to fill herself up.

A refreshing sigh left the girl while she dragged herself out from the water, body shaken off to assist with drying. She was fed at least a little bit and, more importantly, she was no longer parched! The water also did a fine job of washing her off. Now it was time to find herself a new home.

Hours passed. Day turned to night. The mountains grew closer, but she had not yet located the end of the river. And so the little wolf curled up at the edge of the water, eyes closing. Now was the perfect time for sleep. However she only got in maybe an hour's rest before she was woken up by hot breath. Low sniffing noises drew the wolf's gaze. It swiftly adjusted to the darkness, only to be met by the snarling face of a bear.

A hoarse roar left the creature's maw as it opened up, snapping down for her face! She managed to shift just enough to avoid having her throat torn out, however the massive black creature managed to snag onto her shoulder, burying yellowed teeth into her flesh. Nilaa let loose with a sharp yelp of pain, although this was swiftly followed up by her own growl. Needless to say she was upset. She was also still very much hungry.

One set of claws buried themselves underneath the massive creature's neck, thrusting razor sharp claws into the bear's torso. The other held on tightly to the side of its head. Pain raked across her chest as one of the bear's massive paws lashed out, ripping open her torso, even exposing her ribcage. But the wound already started to close as she dug in her feet and, with great strength, wrestled the bear onto its side. Burying her face into the bear's neck Nilaa attempted to bite out its throat! However it was quite large and its fur quite dense, making such a feat difficult even for her.

Growls and grunts and roars and yelps cut through the night while the two beasts wrestled together, lashing out with claws and teeth. But while the bear started to grow weaker from its wounds Nilaa only grew stronger. Any damage was swiftly repaired. Her weight increased. Finally she ended up pinning the bear and while applying pressure accidentally snapped the poor creature's neck. It went limp in an instant. One last shuddered breath left the creature. After rolling it off to the side Nilaa collapsed into the dirt, breathing labored from the surprise wrestling match. Pain racked her body. Eyelids grew heavy.

When she next awoke it was already morning. Nilaa turned her head towards the bear. It was still there. Nope, wasn't a dream. But this was a good thing. It meant she had a meal! And so with stomach growling she rolled herself over to the corpse and proceeded to cut through the thick hide with her claws, digging out meat and guts. All was devoured, nothing cooked. It's not as though she knew how to anyways. It would all sate her hunger regardless. Once she was finished up the remaining hide was dragged into the water with her, cleansed by the clear river. Paws were wrapped around her throat, tied up so that she might wear the bear's hide as a cloak. And with that finished she continued on her journey to the north-east.

While she occasionally stopped to snatch up a fish to eat or a handful of water to drink Nilaa made her way up along the river at a quick pace. The bear had filled her belly quite well. She was able to run on all fours for hours, quickly darting across the hilly countryside. The mountains loomed larger and larger still as she approached them. Eventually she found herself entering the forests, leaving behind the great hilly expanse. But even still the river continued. The occasional rapids gave way to small waterfalls. And then finally she seemed to reach the end.

With the light of day passing away Nilaa finally reached one large waterfall. It seemingly disappeared into the towering expanses of earth before her. This location was perfect. Plenty of trees. A river. And on one end she'd have a mountain. It'd make it incredibly difficult, if not impossible, for others to sneak up on her. On the other hand it'd make it incredibly easy for her to track all those who entered the area.

Claws dug into the mountainside as she climbed her way up, pulling herself towards the waterfall. A quick search around the mouth revealed a continuation of the river into the mountain itself. More importantly however were the various caves tucked away, probably formed long ago by past river flows. The bear's hide was tossed onto an empty flatter space. Nilaa turned, facing the wooded valley below. This would be her home. Her domain. And she would let every other creature within earshot know. A deep breath was sucked in. Then she howled.

"Aroooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!"

Location: Southern part of the island.

Lexi sighed softly, reaching up with a hand to wipe at her sweaty forehead. She looked up, shielding her eyes as she did so as she took note of the location of the sun in the sky. It wasn’t that far up, and already it was quite warm. No doubt her sleeping friend was enjoying it, but she certainly wasn’t. She needed to fix herself a suitable source of water. Already she could feel her throat tickling from thirst, and her lips were dry and cracking. But she didn’t want to risk drinking straight from the river as she could easily make herself ill, which would only make the situation even worse. She wanted to keep herself alive long enough to be able to be rescued after all. She looked down along the beach before pausing as she found herself looking at several cracked coconut shells. She blinked before smiling as she couldn’t believe her luck. She looked up, seeing palm trees with actual coconuts on them. She lacked the means to deal with the fresher ones, but if she could find enough shells that were suitable, she could use them to carry fresh water back to her camp. She looked back down and began to shift through the shells before picking up a couple that were suitable.

It was not long before she heard the tumbling of water, signifying to her that she was close to her mark. She changed the angle that she was moving at, heading into the jungle as she drew closer until she came to the bank of the river. There was a soft chirp in her ear and she looked at the little golden dragon before she pointed at the fish, “See them? That’s what I’m hoping to get for lunch.” She said. The golden dragon chirped again, sounding approving before it launched itself from her shoulder and flying over the river as if inspecting the fish. Lexi smiled in tolerance before she moved closer to the river edge, dropping the coconut shells beside her, and knelt down where she could see the fish struggling to swim upshore. She reached down, gripping the fish by its lower jaw before yanking it out and flipping it onto the shore beside her. The golden dragon let out a trill of delight before swooping down and landing on the fish where it started to tear it to pieces as it ravenously ate it.

“My. You are an endless pit, aren’t you?” Lexi said, watching the animal for a few moments before she turned her attention back to the river where she hooked a couple of more fish and brought them onto the bank where they flopped pathetically for a few minutes before they became still. Lexi looked over at her little friend, only to find them curled up on the floor asleep once again. With a sigh, she picked them up and placed them on her shoulder. The little dragon didn’t wake up, but they stirred and wrapped its tail around her neck. Lexi picked up the shells and dipped them into the water to fill them up. She placed them beside the fish before she stood up and moved over to one of the trees where she pulled and yanked at a vine until it fell.

Just as she was about to move back to the river to tie up the fish, she stepped when she saw flakes of bark on the ground. Curious, she picked it up, seeing that it was rather dark in colour. She looked up at a nearby tree and saw that it must have originated from this one. It was ten metres tall, with the leaves growing at the very top of the tree in thin, narrow leaves. They were dark green and grew out in a circular fashion. She looked at the piece of bark again before frowning as it seemed to smell familiar. She brought it closer and sniffed at it before her eyebrows raised. It smelt like coffee. So much so in fact that she was unable to resist having a nibble. Her eyes went wide, as it definitely tasted like it as well, but with a faint cinnamon aftertaste. She also felt a sudden shock of energy, and it made her wonder if it had caffeine in it as well. Deciding that she would investigate, she picked up several large pieces of the bark before moving back to the river where she tied the fish up, including the half eaten one. She tied the vine around her waist, tucking the bark beneath her arms as she picked up the two water bowls. She then turned and started heading back along the beach to her camp.

Location: Somewhere in the ocean, south of the island

Aurora slowly awoke laying on the seafloor. She had an incredible headache as she sat herself up and looked around. It only took her a few moments, however, to realize the predicament she was in, though. "H-huh...?" She muttered to herself, quickly swimming upward to get a better view of her surroundings. To her dismay, she didn't recognize a single landmark that surrounded her. Immediately, the young Neiri's heart began to race.  "W-wait... Did I really go this far out?" She asked herself aloud. She tried to recall all she could. All she could recall doing was exploring the ocean as she usually did. She was always able to return home no matter what! Her home was surrounded by all sorts of landmarks she knew like the back of her hand. The more she thought, though, the more she recalled that immense feeling of exhaustion that came over her out of nowhere. Had she gotten so tired that she lost track of how far she'd gone? Her heart began to sink.  "Oh no... How long was I out!?"

As if picking up on her distress, Viscy reached up with one of his tiny tentacles to tug lightly on her silky pink hair. She knew exactly what the octopus wanted and couldn't agree more. They had to find their way home. Her father was going to kill her if he found out that she was absent from her quarters all this time. She could only hope that a significant amount of time hadn't passed. "R-right... we have to go back..." Her eyes darted across the horizon, desperately seeking any sort of landmark that looked even remotely familiar. It was all so foreign and strange... it wasn't like her not to pay attention to her surroundings, so how had she managed to get so lost? This was the first time in her life she'd ever felt this way... She gently scooped Viscy off of her shoulder and into the palms of her hand, lifting him up to her face so she could look at him. "U-um... Do you... know which way that is...?"

The octopus just stared silently back at her. The answer was quite clear. Viscy tended to rely on her to bring him around. Aurora bit her lip nervously.  "Oh... Oh, I'm so sorry, Viscy, I must have lost track of where we went... Don't worry, I'll figure something out..." She glanced back up at the horizon.  "Let's see... I woke up facing that direction, so the obvious direction to start is the opposite way, right? Come on, let's go!" She gently placed Viscy back on her shoulder and hastily swam into the southern void of blue.

Location: Lexi’s Camp, Southern part of the island.

When Lexi arrived back at her camp, she was sweating all over and felt exhausted. The sun was relentless as it beat down on her, making it feel as if she had walked ten times the distance that she actually had. She had to hold herself back from just flopping down on the floor due to the precious water she was carrying. She carefully put the two coconut shells on the floor before placing the strange bark next to them. She then untied the vine from around her waist and put them on the ground. She reached up and stroked a finger along the little golden dragon, who let out a soft croon in her sleep. Lexi smiled at that, before she then used her twigs to coax up the fire once again. Using the sharp rock she had for the last couple of days, she gutted one of the fish and speared it before putting it over the fire so that it could cook.

She then turned her attention to the water, wondering how she was going to do this. She had no fireproof container, so she had to settle with pushing the coconut containers close to the fire, hoping that they wouldn’t catch fire. After watching them for several long moments, it seemed that they were hardy enough, so she relaxed. While waiting for the water to boil so that it was drinkable, she picked up the strange bark, turning it over in her hands. She pulled another rock closer to her, brushing it clean of any sand before she broke up pieces of the bark. She then picked up another rock and began to grind it between the two rocks to make it into a fine powder. She noticed that, when ground, it even looked like coffee. She looked to the side at the water which was beginning to steam a little.

She figured that she could test it out when one of the waters boiled and thus was hot enough. She sat there, impatiently waiting until they started boiling. She let them do so for several minutes before she carefully pulled them away, hissing when she accidentally burnt herself. She let one of them cool down, but with the other she dumped a couple of teaspoons worth of the bark powder into it. She then used a stick to stir it, watching as the result looked just like coffee. She leaned forwards and smelled it, smiling at the familiar smell. She waited for it to cool a little before taking an experimental ship. The moment she did, she let out a sigh of contentment. It was the best cup of coffee she had ever had, and she rather liked the faint cinnamon aftertaste. She smiled, feeling herself relaxing as she sipped at the hot liquid again. This was something she would love to wake up to. In fact, she considered moving her little camp to closer to the river so that she could be close to a fresh supply of water as well as food. Right now, water was her main priority. She turned her eyes to the beautiful ocean as she enjoyed the hot beverage.

(Location: Leon's Universe)

Once there is a guy in brown clothes and blue jacket along with his blue jeans. He is a big piece of a ignorant person and could be said as the most Ignorant person that this planet has. His Apathy is on another level and he has one true reason to be apathetic. He is too strong right now and he has everything he wants, as the youngest "mage" that has paid only 25% of his mana just for his own Immortality and he also constantly pays his mana for his own regeneration spell and his everlasting youth is also constantly eats up his mana.

Yes, in this point, he could've destroy the whole world just by a single simple Thanos Snap. But, he chooses to not to do so due to his apathy alone and he thinks, "What is the point of doing something like that? I can't live this type of life if I do that...".

He still a human and he needs food, drink, and sleep that doesn't taken from his mana, and the living beings that became the materials of the food musn't from any of his magics(I mean he can't just make cows then kill them for making a good tenderloin steak just for him too eat). So, he can't just cheat on this and create a large triple chesse burger, a large bottle of mineral water, and X-tra large fries just to feed himself. He is known as, "Mr. Jeweller and Mr. Dresser" by some people and he gets his money by making clothes and jewelries, as you suggest.

Right now he is on the way to the his well known fast food joint to order his desired food. He passes through all people that seems "poor" and some of them are also tries to be "a non-profit" member of a part of another society. He just pass through them with no signs of care, he didn't want to help them. He passes through a super beautiful model with buxom body that people adore but he also didn't care and just pass through her without saying excuse me.

He could have using an invisibility magic and go there, but that would add another "nuisance" named, attention and viralness. People here will try to record magic things that they see right away.

As he reach to the fast food joint, he came in like he doesn't make any noise or just saying hello and being ignorant to anyone else that isn't matter to him. He came to the cashier and seeing the menu for a while, lucky for him that the queue is empty now.

"I would like to have a triple patty with "four cheese(Cheddar, American, Swiss, and Mozzarella cheese)" and mushroom hamburger package. Make the Fries extra large and the drink is a bottle of fresh water. I'm also interested with a piece of choc-top ice cream and 10 chicken nuggets." The brown haired guy said as he just asked for his order and the cashier just press on the place of the order.

"As usual that's it? That would be 8 dollars, sir..." The Cashier asks while she just seeing the ignorant brown haired and brown eyed male that pays the same amount of money that she said. She has a sign of interest with him and she just open one button of her shirt and let him sees hee pair of bountiful assets which he doesn't care about. Any male will ask for her number in this moment, but he doesn't. So she back put the button on in the moment she moticed that he doesn't care.

"As usual with his ignorant self," she thought while saying the orders. "Please wait at beside of the cashier register." she said while he just do so in a matter of a second. Maybe she remembers him somewhere because they happen to be in the same university but she couldn't remember who he is due to his "normal" interactions back then and he is just too normal to be remembered.

He just stand and wait silently while he doesn't care about anything and anyone who is on his surroundings, mentioned that cashier girl just happen to see him and tries to remember him. He just simply wait and didn't care about anyone else.

"Here's your order sir, and did we meet before?" The cashier ask while she puts her orders and again, noticing that she has a bountiful assets, she just show it to him. Maybe, if he is the same ignorant Leon Dimitri, she would get to near him as soon as the work is done.

"No, we haven't and thanks for the order." He just replied coldly and he takes up the order and walks away with it, along with the ice cream that is. He carefully walk and take a seat in a random seat which is empty.

In the moment he starts to eat, a random office guy came to him and says, "Hey you, that's my usual seat!" the entitled guy says. He just didn't care and eat his favorite burger. The guy tried to took the ice cream, but Leon's hands quickly holds the guy's hands and grabs it roughly, showing his raw human strength.

"Ouch ouch, I'm sorry, I will take another seat!" The guy shouts while taking up the pain. Realizing that this one ignorant guy is too strong for him to be handled as the way he wants and his eyes that give him a scarier look make him shaking in fear.

"In this place, there is no one entitled enough to say that their usual seat will always be theirs." Leon said it quietly and release his grip. Then, the guy just walked into the cashier and do her order while scared of this one ignorant guy.

When he is finished with his meal, another random person came in and give him a paper. He doesn't flinch but he just see another way when he finished with his food and full. But the paper shines brightly and he is getting that shine and absorbed to the portal to another place in his universe, but instead of that some "entity" hijacks that. The random guy and Leon both disappeared right after the moment. Luckily, there are few people and this won't be a case since it was too short.

(Location: Southern part of Utopian Curse World(South but he is more south east), in the beach)

He just thrown into a certain beach that filled with the sand and he just happened to realize few things as he reached the place, and all of them are quickly noted to his mind and there are few marks in his body. The first one, he can't use his magic freely anymore. The second one, his mana regen is slowed down to the half of his own capacity and he still could make a living by his power, still being an immortal and have his daily life magics on, except for his learning skill. He couldn't learn someone else's magic anymore. The last, his body is far weaker than in his previous world, he is just like another human in terms of physical strength. He also noted that escaping from this place is futile and he can't possibly do anything about it.

"Well, It seems I got a huge nerf and my phone is left at my home in another place. This seems like another world for me and no modern things, well... Gotta survive on my own here." Leon said while he snaps and a camp also a huge piece of a normal sized stone cauldron appears before him in a few seconds.

'I think, this costs less than 0,001% of my mana... So, it's okay and start to make my living here.' He said while he is detecting few people in the south and he just ignore them and make his own living by start to cutting some sticks and woods maybe.

(I just add some flashbacks for plot spice only, and his role is not too much... But, this explains that he came from another "Lore Verse")

Location: Lexi’s Camp, Southern part of the island.

After Lexi had eaten her fish, she leaned against one of the trees surrounding her camp and continued watching the ocean. She had long since finished the coffee-like drink, and ended up using the second cup of water to make another cup. The only problem was that the dirt from the water had not been filtered away thus she had been forced the leave the last little bit of liquid in the bottom. What she needed was a way to boil off the water and transfer it to another tub to store but she wasn’t sure exactly how to go about that. And knowing her luck, she would end up losing a lot on the process. That said, she could give in to her thought from earlier. Move her camp closer to the river. Not only did it put her closer to fresh water, but hopefully those fish were still there. There was also that bark to consider. She smiled at the thought; it would be a good way to wake up in the morning. Perhaps, when rescue finally came, she could take some seeds with her? Perhaps grow and sell them. It would be an interesting alternative to actual coffee.

She was drawn from her thoughts by a sleepy little chirp in her ear and she smiled, lifting a finger to stroke the soft neck of her little dragon-like friend. The little lizard crooned and nudged her finger before letting out a hungry sounding creel. Lexi sighed, rolling her eyes, “Again?” She asked. This animal was an absolute blackhole for food. She could only assume it was because she was a baby and thus only ate and slept for the time being. Hopefully as they grew older, they would grow out of it and ate a more reasonable amount. Lexi turned around, picking up her remaining fish that she had saved for her new friend. As she picked up her rock and gutted it, the little golden dragon hopped down and began to nibble up the entrails.

“I need to come up with a name for you. Any ideas?” Lexi asked. The golden dragon didn’t look up, but rustled their wings and let out an inquiring chirp as she continued to lap up the fish guts. Lexi began tearing the flesh of the fish into easier to manage pieces for the young fire lizard, “Mmm. Nothing too complicated. I hate pet names that are ridiculous. Although my cousin once had a bearded dragon that he called ‘Draki McDrakiface’. Just called him ‘Draki’ for short. I mean, we could go easy with something such as Draco but… I don’t think that really fits.” She tilted her head down at the golden lizard who tilted its head up at her before reaching forwards and eating the pieces of fish from Lexi’s fingers. Pretending it was the dragons way of agreeing, Lexi continued talking although it was more to hear herself speak than because she thought the little lizard understood what she was saying, “I mean, Kayda could be a possibility? It means little dragon and you look like a little dragon.” The fire lizard let out a trill at that before snatching up more food. Lexi smiled before snickering and saying, “I could call you Dratini, after the Pokémon.” She then stopped laughing and shook her head, “But that would be funny for like, five seconds. Something like Scallie wouldn’t fit because you don’t actually have scales. More of a hide… Heidi, is another possible?”

Lexi frowned as she fed the last piece to the small dragon. The golden lizard jumped up onto her lap and crooned softly as if in encouragement. Lexi’s frown disappeared as she stroked the creature, causing the lizard to croon in delight, “You know what? I’m sticking with Kayda. It suits you.” She then decided. Kayda then began to hum in pleasure, rubbing her head against Lexi’s hand as she redoubled her effort to stroke the fire lizard.

That brown haired guy which using a pair of blue jacket and a pair of jeans with a pair of black shoes just uses his telekinesis to make the coconuts fall from the place, but he make the coconuts looked like they are naturally fall so nobody will suspect him. He only collects them for his own purposes since he is already eat from few times ago in his original world. He just happen to make them float using his powers since nobody saw what he is doing, and he quickly make them fall to his hands so he would be seen as a normal person and nobody will notice if he is already does his magic to do his things.

He just walk away while bringing those coconuts and put them beside of his tent. After he put them, he dig the sand besides them and bury the coconuts inside of that sand when it's deep enough. He walks away from that sand pile that he used for burying his coconuts and he walked towards few nearby trees and bushes. He collects a few decent amount of sticks for fuel and he cracked a single piece of medium "strong looking wood" and he brought few of them while taking few stones.

He stacked his sticks quickly in the sand besides of the said heavy stone cauldron, and goes to that place again to pick up some or a bunch of leaves and stones for heating purposes. Also, he wants to make a piece of stone axe to make woodcutting possible. He could have make one mythril pickaxe to solve this matter but he wouldn't since doing so will make him look like he has a power, which this is a thing that he wants to avoid. He also happen to know that there is two girls that will make him got into a unneccesary trouble especially when they are "in heat", which he will use his teleport skills right away.

Location: Lexi’s Camp, Southern part of the island.

Lexi stroked Kayda until she was once again curled up on her lap, fast asleep. Lexi smiled in a tolerant fashion, enjoying the way that Kayda crooned in delight, even in her sleep. She glanced up at the sun and saw that the worst of the days heat was now over. It would be a good time to move her little camp to be closer to the small river where it would provide a source of clean water and potential food… unless of course the fish had already moved on. She certainly hoped not, but she gathered that they were part of a migrating group that, like some species of earth fish, swam up river to lay their eggs before returning to the sea. She glanced around her little camp, but there was little really worth taking with her other than her two coconut shells. It would mean that she would need to redo her fire, but she didn’t mind doing that too much. It wasn’t massively hard the first time. Just tedious.

Gently she shifted Kayda so that she was curled up on her shoulder. Automatically, it seemed, Kayda’s tail wrapped around her neck securely, looking almost like a golden necklace. Lexi picked up her two coconut shells before slowly standing up and using her foot to kick sand on the fire to cause it to go out. She then scattered the remains of the fire, making sure that none of it was left burning. The last thing she wanted to do was cause a forest fire. Lexi then turned and started off down the beach, heading towards the river where she intended on setting up camp.

While she was walking, she glanced off out to sea. But as she looked forwards, she suddenly snapped her head back out again with a frown. On the horizon was a dark grey smudge in the sky, suggesting that there was a tropical storm on the way. She cursed under her breath, as she had no means to shelter herself from such a storm unless she found a tree with a large enough hole to hide her. She quickened her steps, wanting to reach her destination before the storm hit. Along the way, she picked up several of the fruits that reminded her of the sunset, and had unofficially dubbed the ‘Sunset Fruit’. They also reminded her vaguely of a peach, but the skin wasn’t furry nor did it taste the same despite the similarities in colour and texture.

By the time she had reached the rumbling river, the grey had spread out across the sky but still seemed a little while away from the shore. She felt that, for the moment, she could sigh in relief. Still, she needed to work quickly. Her first thought was to check the river but to her disappointment, there were no more of the fish she had hunted earlier. Shaking her head, she turned and headed a little further into the forest, instinctively trying to escape the storm but still not straying too far from the river and shore.

To her utter delight, she found a large tree that had a cave-like hole in the side. It faced away from the shore as well, meaning that it might protect her from the storm. Eagerly, she made her way towards it and peered inside. There were various dried leaves and bark strewn about the place, but it was large enough for her to make a comfortable temporary home. Smiling to herself, she set about quickly cleaning up the forest floor within the tree. When she was finished, she left the tree and headed back to the strange barked tree and picked up more bark, where she carried it back and stored it against the back of the tree. Just outside her little tree-cave, she placed down the coconut shells so that they would catch the rain. It would be a good source of clean water, so she wasn’t going to pass up that chance. Along with the bark, she stored the fruit she had collected, hoping that it would be enough to last her and Kayda the night. At least, she hoped Kayda would eat the fruit as she had nothing in terms of meat to feed her friend. Glancing up towards the dark grey storm clouds, Lexi ducked into her shoulder and huddled in one corner, wishing she had enough time to find foliage to make herself a semi-comfortable bed but the storm was almost upon her, and the last thing she needed was to get soaking wet.

It was at this moment, he put a shocked face but he doesn't look that much of shocked to the black things that gathered in the sky. He quickly notice that is a storm that came nearby, a tropical island such as Utopian Curse will be so vulnerable to any types of the storm and he knows it well. He is learning almost every knowledge in his past world so maybe it is going to be useful for him to play fool and weak in front of many people and deceive them for his powers so many will think him as a normal person, not a powerful one. He likes and rather to keep being known as a normal human rather than being such an over-powered one. He is already hugely nerfed with so many weakness by this universe's entity that take him to this island and sealed him once and for all in this place, unless with any reasonings, he doesn't know why he got so many bad luck in this place. It is like the universe entity himself hates him that much with no reason why. Compared to him in his previous world or in this term in his lore verse, he is already around 50-70% of who he is right now. Such storm as this will be an easy play by him if only he doesn't get nerfed with his mana. He uses mana it could be mean he uses his energy, he uses his energy could be mean he uses his mana in this world.

This one brown haired guy only could think for few possibilities that he can use to get away. He must think more to the actions and reactions, the calculations, he must do everything in this manner and can't snap away the storm just by a single Thanos-snap. He could have been died if he do so in this world remembering this is not a small storm but a huge storm that maybe could wipe away and make him go to that inner depth of the sea. Leon and/or any sane person wouldn't do or wouldn't want that to happen upon them, he know how dangerous the sea is due to the information that he has got. He really use all of his available time to ask as many information as possible in that world, so he maybe know a bit or two about the fact of this world. So he think his possible strategy with his available powers which is 70-80% of his old state power before he is gone to this world.

He know a certain guy who could do a signature move named, "Chained Fist: 1 Quintal Punch Version!" which maybe he could use to defeat the storm itself using the force of his mana when he does that chained fist barrage with 100 kilograms of force in his own version. The problem is that solution is too mana consuming in his thoughts and he decides to not to use that move, his mana is many but not infinite also his mana regeneration doesn't enough to cover the risk. Adding the fact that weather is uncontrollable and unpredictable, he can't use this constantly also the minus is he and his powers would been exposed to the unwanted people in this island, since the attack has a huge impact.

The second solution is by doing what he always do when weather is never been his best friend, is just to stare it and make it go away. This is his typical solution which always been used in his old universe back then and this is covering the exposure minus that the first solution has but this also a mana consuming solution. Adding the fact that his mana regeneration is nerfed heavily in this world, he can't just use this "daily" solution just by clearing the weather in his own ways. He knows well how his mana regeneration is today and he wouldn't dare himself to use any "instant-clear" or his "cheat-tier" moves that he always use, let alone his enhancements.

He chooses the third solution, which is to make all of his summoned items disappear as he snaps his arms. He quickly take his crafted stone axe which he is not done with it yet, at least not before he managed to make a rope out of plant fiber or large leaves. He quickly go to the coconut tree, flew to the top of the tree and he enhanced the stone axe using his mana and cut the palm leaf just by one slash from that "not done yet" stone axe. He is fine doing it since nobody will saw him flying anyway. He quickly lands on the sand ground again since he needs the time more important for this situation. He use his own synthesis magic to quickly make the rope out of the said leaf after he land on the sand. Time is the essence and he has no time to make it on the normal human way, it's not like there is someone watching from behind so he has no problems on unleashing his powers. Safety and Time Efficiency is the key to do his things for now and for this time only since he will get stormed if he don't.

He completes his stone axe in this way and he is also using the ropes to bind the coconuts so they won't fall. By his synthesis, the rope is enough to take his coconuts, at least 8 of them and left the rest. He snaps to make his cauldron and his tent disappear to avoid any suspicion that he has power, he will make a traditional one for himself at later time. He decides to run to the other side and get as far as possible from the beach since there will be a storm nearby, he is heading towards the forest or something in that island.

(Well should I write it as "stone ax" because of the word checker said so?)

*Cassandra awoke in a cold sweat, on the forest floor, quite a distance away from where she last remembered being. Oh yes, she remembered being there quite well. Why? That would be because she could still remember being torn apart by some giant beast...that she intentionally provoked to attack her.  While she could describe the beast in some detail, that really didn't matter to her. What mattered to her was that she was still here, on this island. Despite dying. Why would she do something like that? Didn't she want to live? Unfortunately the answer to that question was no, she didn't want to live. She especially didn't want to be here, a place that didn't seem to want her to leave. She had lost count of the amount of times she had tried to die on the island in order to escape it. The evidence of her previous and many failed attempts at escape via suicide were littered liberally around the island, almost like signposts. She bit her lip, as she forced herself to her feet of her new body...which looked exactly like her other bodies on this island. Of course, this body was in one piece, undamaged and in relatively fine condition unlike some of the other ones. She had no idea how long she had been lying on the ground for nor how long she had been stuck on this island for, it felt like an eternity. As she forced herself up onto her feet, she noticed that her body felt sluggish and heavy...most likely because she was rather hungry. She hadn't eaten for some time now, perhaps a few days and it was starting to take its toll on her. Cassandra wasn't interested in eating though or even drinking though it was necessary for her to survive. Obviously, given this, she was not interested in survival. She was more interested in dying, no matter what fashion she did it in. She pushed through the hunger, forcing herself to her feet and then willed her body to start moving. Where? She didn't know or care. She just wanted to get away from here. She could hear the rumble of thunder in the distance and could smell the scent of rain in the air. There was a storm coming. Not that she cared much about getting wet. Her body, as vulnerable and naked as it was, was still in reasonable condition despite her not having had any food or drink lately. As long as she could get from A to B and do stuff, she didn't care what she looked like. Just being aware of her body being there was enough to annoy her. Not knowing where to go or what to do, she decided to just head to the beach and watch the storm from there. Did it matter if she got wet? No nor did she care if she got sick, it wasn't going to change anything. Even if she did get sick and die from it...there was no freedom from here. She pushed her sluggish body towards the beach, not caring what happened to her. As she walked towards the beach, someone past her by who was fully dressed and did not seem to belong here. She totally ignored them as she continued towards the beach for no reason whatsoever.*

Leon felt something odd when he is on his escapade from the storm as he realize a surge of huge amount of mana or power or magic or something is felt by him. He is feeling both of a threat and confusion in the same time due to this presence alone, which is in a form of woman that he just passed by. This brown haired guy knew that someone powerful just passing by and that certain person is going to the source of the storm. He is confused on two things, the girl just walking to the storm and she doesn't wear any clothes. Is a good luck that he didn't notice that girl when he should saw her in the front which he saw as a man, since he won't adding any new "nuisance" when she is "in heat" or him actually, but he is too damn ignorant for something as hot as that.

The first solution, follow his lust since she looks so hot and do what his senses also his mind told to do. Which is a foolish move that will instantly killing him right after he did what he would did. In a longer term, he would have to deal with another nuisance again which he doesn't want to. She has all of the list of an ideal woman for him but again, her power is too huge and maybe a huge no for him to do the said act to that certain person who he pass by and he took a glance on for a while.

Second solution which Leon would actually do is just go safe himself from the storm. Which is the most efficient but it's only for people who has a low amount of EQ and maybe he is one of them. He has his magics and immortality, also he is immune to "death by spell", so what is the point on adding one friend when you can already do anything, or so that what he is thought. He could only scratch his head and think so much unlike his past self when he is on that place. He would do this solution but right now, he doesn't feel he wanted to.

The third solution and maybe the best for few also the worst for him is to safe that said girl and give her clothes. He will leave her once she is properly nourished and could live by her own. Maybe that is what he is thinking right now and he doesn't have any perverted intentions on this. But doing this is not what he is going to do by his own soul, being a goody two shoes reminds him of a anime character that he hates so much. That character is a black haired, black eyed, and black suited guy with his pair of swords in the game who is an otaku in real life also has a girlfriend and harem(I mention Kirito here). He felt a sudden need to help her when seeing the storm is came closer.

Leon doesn't take any other choice but to approach that said girl and grab her in her arm as he thinks, it is not a nuisance if he help her just for a day or two. He decides to really trying to take her arm with his left arm which is not grabbing his axe and try to stopping her move by grabbing her left arm. He doesn't use any magics since he doesn't want to let someone else knew how powerful he is right now. He has his own magics but he would rather to hide it from anyone, he hated the exposure of being a strong being, unlike certain someone in his universe's TV Show that he hates so much.

He silently make a shadow go to the other place before that said shadow being a clone of him. That clone's task is to go to that island for searching for few plant fibers so he can make a clothing for this said woman by his synthesis magic with out her notice. He reminds his clone to keep himself remain unknown to anybody and anyone as it is going to the forest and try to make a cloth using the nearest plant fibers. Again, he doesn't want anyone know about his immortality and his powers, he would rather doing it sneakily and making everything look naturally done by him in a human way.

"What you are doing?! There is a storm out there!" Leon shout as he maybe already grab her arm or so he thought. He could have leave her in her place and he could have safe his own soul by He just really didn't want to care about her actually but in this moment there is no sane person who will let someone like the said blonde woman do, which is getting near to the storm. He just didn't care about her body and how voluptuous that body is, in this moment he is thinking more to the saving someone's soul part.

(Total Mana Usage for these two comments of mine(No Plot Armor): 0,05% of his mana, but it doesn't enough to make his "forever youth" gets the deficit)

Location: Lexi’s Tree, Southern part of the island.

Lexi’s breathing caught in her throat as she heard a distant rumbling sound. She huddled even further in her little shelter, knowing that the storm was almost upon them. Kayda slept on, completely oblivious to the elements, safe and content in Lexi’s arms. The ambient temperature seemed to plummet, causing Lexi to shiver at the sudden coldness. The previous night, it had been comfortable enough for her to sleep exposed on the ground. But now, the air held a chill to it that made her curl around Kayda as if to protect them both from the storms icy grip. The insect sounds seemed to become quiet, plunging the world into an unnatural silence. It made her tense, as if there was a predator stalking around outside looking for her. She hated it, and wished this damn storm was over. She had never really liked storms back home, which was one reason she certainly loved being a pilot. The weather was not something she had to content with.

She flinched when she saw a flash of light outside that illuminated the plants and trees. It made her acutely aware that the bright sunshine had dimmed and almost plunged the world into darkness. She then began to hear the slight pitter-patter of rain as it struck the leaves on the foliage all around. In any other situation, Lexi would have actually found it relaxing, but another rumble dispelled that illusion. She whimpered softly as the rain became heavier. There was another flash, followed quickly by another rumble, indicating that the storm was getting even closer. Lexi could hear the wind sighing through the trees, causing the leaves to restlessly rub against each other, creating a rustling sound that accompanied the pounding of the rain. The air grew colder, and it began to feel damp. Lexi really didn’t like this.

As if sensing her friends distress, Kayda roused and let out a soft little chirp. She stretched her neck out and peered out of the opening, her eyes whirling slowly in the colours of green and blue. She then blinked, before tilting her head up towards Lexi began she began to hum in a comforting fashion. Lexi relaxed slightly, feeling somewhat reassured by the fearlessness of the little dragon. She stroked along Kayda’s back, focusing on her little friend instead of the storm outside. Kayda’s eyes whirled faster as her humming became louder. She chirped and rubbed her tiny face against the hand stroking her. Lexi smiled and whispered, “Thanks, Kayda.” She flinched again when there was another clashing of thunder but she kept her focus on the golden dragon, allowing the small creature to ground her to keep her sane.

*As Cassandra was making her way to the beach, wondering what she should do now, she noted that the person that was passing her by went to grab her arm. Unfortunately for this person, who was trying to grab the arm of Cassandra,  she had no idea what he was saying at all! After all, they came from totally different planets and universes so it was the most likely case that they did not speak the same language. So when this man did try to grab Cassandra's arm, she instantly reacted rather badly and knocked it away. In fact, she screamed in terror as she knocked his arm away. Her body and mind went into overdrive, as she started to run away from this strange person. She didn't exactly care where she would end up as long as she wasn't in the same area as this person. For all she knew, he was trying to rape her and that experience was something she was very familiar with. Though she had never been raped on this island, given that she had never met another person until now, she had been raped before when she was in her home universe and it was not something she wanted to go through again. She put all her effort into putting distance between this person and herself, hoping that she could outrun them or that they wouldn't follow her. If they did follow her, then she felt she was going to be in a hell of a lot of trouble. Not like anyone would help her or anything, no one ever did. As she ran towards the storm and away from this man, she wondered if there was much point in doing this. After all, even death didn't seem to mean anything here for her. She admitted that it was unusual because when she normally died, she had to go through the whole process of growing up all over again rather than just randomly reappearing at a random spot on this island. Perhaps the 'god' of her universe had new plans for her torment and this was a part of it. That was the only conclusion she could draw at this present time, given that she had no idea where this was. At the moment, even that was immaterial as all she wanted to do was get away. She hoped that this person was not desperate or crazy enough to follow her into the worsening storm, otherwise she was going to have more than just one problem. She thought  that not only would she have this person rape her and possibly kill her afterwards but she would now have to deal with this person learning about the fact that death meaning nothing to her and having him enslave her or something worse for all eternity.*

Location: On Northern side of the central Mountain range.

It was the change in air pressure, and the difference in temperature that jerked Dezrin away from an easy slumber. He blinked rapidly as instead of lying in bed next to Frankrin, he was lying on a comfortable feeling bush with bright sunlight obnoxiously shining down into his eyes. He squinted his eyes closed with a grimace before he pushed himself up into a sitting position and rubbing his eyes with the back of his fingers to try and get rid of the burning sensation that clung to them. When he was sure it had stopped, he finally opened his eyes. He blinked a few times to allow his eyes to adjust to the sunlight before he looked around to find himself in some kind of tropical forest. He frowned for a few moments before he suddenly remembered. Of course. Utopian Curse. He shifted his shoulder and smiled when he felt the resistance of a backpack strap digging into his shoulder. It had worked. Phoenix had warned him that this day would come, and he had prepared for it by packing a few supplies. Nothing that could make living here a walk in the park, but some necessities like some water purifiers, a scanner, his sonic screwdriver and some datapads. And of course, his gauntlets. While he usually didn’t wear them to bed, he made sure that he did this time. He was also fully dressed, in simple Eldyrannthian trousers and long sleeved t-shirt, with sturdy boots and an Eldyrannthian cloak.

With a soft grunt, he stood up and looked around before holding up his arm to reveal a ring on his middle finger. He concentrated, and the ring glowed slightly before his gauntlet spread out across his hand, covering his fingers before it spread out down to his elbow. Using the programming of the device, he used the inbuilt scanner to scan the immediate environment around him. A small holographic screen appeared, informing him that he was only surrounded by trees and insect life. There wasn’t anything dangerous that could attack him. Pleased, he allowed the gauntlet to return to the shape of a ring before he changed form. His body blurred for a few moments before his Eldyr form stood in his place, his scales a brilliant orange colour. He glanced up, before he crouched and pushed himself up off of the ground. He spread his wings wide, pushing down in the all-important first stroke that lifted him up into the air. On the second stroke, he broke through the canopy of the forest and into the air.

Now that he was higher, he could see a lot more. Stretched behind and either side of him was more of the forest that seemed to stretch on for miles. To the south of him was a long chain of snow caped mountains that rose steeply into the sky like claws. They were not as majestic as the mountains of his home, but they were impressive nonetheless. After a few moments consideration, he decided that he wanted to see what was on the other side of the mountain. So with a powerful stroke of his wings he pushed himself forwards towards the far peaks. As he flew, he kept his sharp gaze on the forest below, able to see each and every detail. He knew why his father, and sister were coming to the island. For the young Rassai that Kaylarvara had been forced to leave behind. But he was here for someone else, someone that was very important to him. It was the only reason he was so willing to be dragged here.

He saw a flash of pale flesh down in the forest below, causing him to focus on it. It was then that he saw a body, one he recognised very easily. It was Cassandra, one of her dead bodies. What made him angry through, was that he saw a feline creature tearing at her flesh. Although this creature almost looked like a mix between a tiger and some kind of dinosaur-like lizard. With a faint growl, he folded his wings and dove down towards the figure and the animal. He flared his wings and landed down close to the body, causing the animal to jump in surprise. Dezrin turned his large head towards it and snarled, causing the creature to dash off as it clearly didn’t want to mess with something larger than it was. Dezrin then turned to look at the body, his tongue flicking out to taste the scent on the air. It didn’t smell as if she had been dead long, but he knew that she would be elsewhere on the island. Taking a moment to consider it, he used his talons to dig a deep grave close by, before using telekinesis to gently lift her partially eaten corpse and to place it down within the grave. He then pushed the dirt down on top of her and patted it down so that no other predators try and dig her up. It was not the most dignified burial, but at least her body was safe from further consumption.

Once he was finished, he kicked back off of the ground and continued to fly towards the mountains that seemed to grow larger as he approached. He could see the clouds clinging to them, creating a haze that hid some of the sharp peaks from view. Instead of trying to fly over them, he decided to fly between the peaks. He tilted his wings and glided between two looming mountains that were so close together that there was only a few metres gap between them and the tips of his wings. The sun reflected off of his sea-green scales, causing flecks of green light to reflect onto the rock of the mountain. He enjoyed flying through the mountains, even if the wind was a little unpredictable due to the gusts buffeting against the rocks. He liked to soar between the peaks, especially when things got a little risky. That was when it really became fun. However he wasn’t after fun. He had to find her.

He continued flying, sweeping past the jagged peaks until he finally flew out over a large grass clearing. As he looked down, he saw several large creatures that lumbered slowly by a quickly flowing river. He ignored them, despite the fact that he was mildly hungry. He had been flying for hours, and he had yet to eat since waking up. But he ignored the sensation, as he had something far more important to do. He followed the river until it came once again to the tropical forest, which he observed closely. He felt a change of pressure against his wings and he looked up to see dark clouds rolling in, signalling a storm. It looked very close by, and he rumbled in discontent. If the wind became too dangerous, it would force him to land and take shelter until it passed. He wasn’t very experienced with storm flying, certainly not like Thorin who flew into the teeth of a hurricane for fun. As the warm rain began to lash against his grey scales, he decided that he would try to continue as long as he could before talking shelter on the ground.

It was then that he saw a flash of movement and peered at it closely. With a feeling of triumph, he had found who he was looking for. His gaze switched from her to another figure who seemed to try and grab out to her, but she evaded his grasp and ran off in a panic. Dezrin folded his wings and dove down forwards the forest. So that the male figure did not see him, he shrank his size before he disappeared into the foliage. Now that he was smaller, he was able to easily duck and weave around the branches and the looping vines. He sped along, zipping past Cassandra although as he was now black in colour and flying above her, she would not see him. Instead of appearing as his Eldyr form, he landed down behind a tree and returned to his Tarunoid form. He could hear her rapid footsteps and her panicked breaths, causing her to sound like a frightened deer. He stepped around the tree, so that she was able to see him clearly but he wasn’t so close that she would bump into him. He didn’t want to frighten her any more than she already was. Speaking in her language, he called out, “Cassandra! Wait!” He hoped the fact that he spoke her language would cause her to pause and address him. If she ran off, he would have to follow her. He wasn’t going to let anything happen to her.

Leon is pushed away and did not resist the push. He still managed to get his composure and he didn't flinch to her push, thanks to his own strength. He just put his hands on his jacket pockets now and didn't seem care much about that said woman who goes by her own to the place. The clone said that he just finished to craft the clothes that he requested through the telepathy. He just use a wind spell and make the clothes fly away to his master like it was naturally blown of like a storm. He noticed the storm is happening and the dragon like creature is passing him. He could feel a hostile aura from the said dragon but that aura directs to him as it protect the said woman. Leon take up the clothes and throw it to the said woman and only until it is on behind her just by few centimeters.

Leon decide to use one of his cards again and its telepathy after throwing the said clothes. First is to the dragon, he wants to assure that no bloodshed will happen now and he should play a safe game if he wanted to live his life. He could feel death is front of him.

"Hey, I just want to help her and I never wanted to touch her in the first place. Hurting her means a free death to me right? Well, I'm not insane enough to do it. If I do so, I just adding one other "nuisance" that I don't want to face. What I am going to do is just give her some decent clothing and helping her until she can fend herself, I'll leave her alone when that time comes. I won't touch her even a single centimeter when I'm doing so and doesn't plan anything on her. Well, I need to go after I talk to her with this telepathy thing now, no one's get hurt by this. You are her guardian or something right, give her clothes and food first, she seems pretty weak." He said on his telepathy to said dragon that just turned into a human without any traces of lie or so what, he doesn't have any reason to do anything bad to the said woman and he lives in a modern world where rape is taboo so he also seem like he doesn't want to do it.

Then he switch his telepathy to the said girl who is afraid of him due to his effort to grab her arm and thinks badly about him also scared of him, "Well, it's up to you if you want to believe or not, at least wear clothes when you are in a public place like this. I don't care about you that much or whatever it is and if you are thinking I'm going to do bad things for you, you are wrong. Well, if you want to believe or not believe, it's up to you. I give you a pair of decent looking dress that covers most of your body made of a plant fiber behind you, I don't put anything on that." He said from the telepathy, maybe if the dragon could read, it could conclude that it doesn't want to hurt the said woman. Maybe, it was language barrier that makes them to be misunderstood whatever he tries to talk.

"God dammit... This is what I hate to do..." He muttered while he goes away from the dragon and the woman so he could live on and don't care about the said storm. He didn't even wet from the begining of the rain since he uses his magic to make he doesn't wet. Well, at least he got what he want right, which is to live alone and didn't care about anyone else again. He was lucky that his age nor his regeneration spell is still intact with him without any trace of slight deficit. Maybe a slight image in his memory just shown up in his brain in the moment he tries to see her but it was just an image that he doesn't know at all.

He just walked away from them in the moment he knew everything maybe could be futile as he doesn't know how to speak in their language, maybe a sign language and body language can help him communicate if the matters goes worse.

(Mana Usage(Total, No Plot Armor): 1% due to the entity strength and the distance, also the duration)

(The dress maybe looks like in the picture below but made of plant fibers using his own synthesis magic, and forget the face, the point is just the dress, the size already adjusted to Cassandra's size)

*Now Cassandra was fully concentrating on running away and didn't notice the thrown peace offering but she did notice the telepathic message she was sent. Unfortunately, it reverberated throughout her head and caused her to freak out even more. So much in fact that she fell over herself and landed front-side down into the dirt. It had been some time since anyone had telepathically communicated with her and all the times she could remember being communicated in such a fashion was when something terrible was about to befall her. Ordinarily, she would scream or flail and try  to get away but she was far too tired for that now. Her brain was operating beyond what it could normally take and now she was starting to break down. There was no more tears to cry or gods to try to appeal to, there was nothing she could do. On this island, where she couldn't even die, there was nothing for her. Her life meant nothing and even death was no respite, so did anything really matter anymore? As the rain poured down, the storm closing in, Cassie was aware that there was literally nothing she could do. Her situation was beyond hopeless, beyond even farce. Living would do nothing and death provided no comfort. All she could do was suffer and perhaps that was all that anyone could want or hope to get from her. Even running away didn't seem to mean anything, just delaying an inevitable death or more suffering. Did it matter when her life ended or when the suffering happened if there was no end to it? That question, amongst others, she did not know the answer to. All she knew was  that nothing she did really mattered...so why do anything? Perhaps it would be 'better' if she just surrendered to the world and let it do whatever it willed to her. Of course, she knew that 'better' in her case meant less than nothing. She would die...and return to  suffer more. Time seemed to move painfully slowly as she just lay there in the dirt, not caring about the rain or anything else. She had heard someone call her name before but she was certain that this was a trap of some sort. After all, no one she cared about and who knew her name still lived. Perhaps she should not answer and just lay here.*

Dezrin flinched a little when he saw Cassandra suddenly trip and fall, landing on her face. He frowned in concern as he emerged further from his hiding spot and approached her, as she seemed to have completely given up and was merely lying there. It meant she was either too exhausted to get up, or she had decided to give in to the hopelessness. He went to move towards her, however he felt a telepathic contact. He froze, tightening the defences of his mind just in case the contact was hostile. However, it quickly became clear that it was an attempt to communicate, even though he didn’t understand a word. He wished his father was here, as he would be able to make sense of the man's language, and thus allow them to communicate better. Judging by the fact that the man made no hostile telepathic movements, despite the apparent openness of Dezrin’s mind, suggested that the man meant no harm. He was quite likely trying to help Cassandra, for which he didn’t blame the man for. Cassandra was in a rather pitiful state right now.

So he responded in the only way he felt that he could. Restricting the telepathic bandwidth so that he didn’t hurt the man with the sheer force of his telepathic ability, he radiated the feeling that he meant the man no harm. He radiated a feeling of peace, to let the man know that he had no intention of harming him. He then flashed a brief image of Cassandra, before sending the complicated feeling that the man should leave her in Dezrin’s hands. That Cassandra was familiar to him. He then sent a feeling of gratitude, to let the man know that his efforts, while futile, were appreciated.

He then severed the contact as he stepped over to Cassandra’s prone body. He moved slowly, so that he didn’t spook her. He knelt down beside her, noting the dirt that was smeared across her body. He then said in a gentle voice, once again speaking in her language, “Don’t panic. I’m going to put my hand on your back to warm you up and get rid of the water.” He raised his right hand, allowing his gauntlet to grow back across his hand and lower arm before gently putting his hand on her back. The indents of the gauntlet glowed slightly as he concentrated, using his energy to strip the rain water from her as well as to radiate warmth throughout her body. She would began to feel warmer, but not to the point where it was uncomfortable. He then said in a voice just as gentle, “It’s alright. I’m here to help you. I’m Dezrin, and I mean you absolutely no harm.”

When Dezrin replied to his telepathy, he just don't care about the said messages and go away from the place as fast as possible. Leave the couple in their place and do their activity. Well, it seems he didn't care about the flash of Cassandra and he never cares about the said woman. Since there is Dezrin, he only could go away and do nothing to them, wasting energy and blood will be a "nuisance" to him. He doesn't want to add one "Nuisance" and another "Nuisance" that they will produce later on, and this other "Nuisance" could be far far far more dangerous as this another future unwanted "Nuisance" is a mix of an ex-OP mage which later could be more powerful than when he is on his previous world is and the lady which he sense as someone's deadly if she reaches her previous powers in prime, even with her "unknown" abilities, he won't mess up with said woman

Leon just walk away with his coconuts and stone axe. He will use his axe both as his gathering tools and weapon, he could use his powers since noticing that no people around. He would rather to leave them in peace than forcing to do something that is one, outside of his range, two, it is never being his deal from day one. He needs to think on how getting out from this cursed island and re-attack the said old man who make him transported to this world. But, it is not likely he will care about something like that, even the best cultivation method can't make him have enough mana to set off from this place from the beginning of the time, both in quality and quantity. Even if he make the best spelling words, he can't escape neither. So what to do is to just enjoy his time in this world and don't care about anything.

When Cassandra later comes to him again, he will say,

"Go away and never meet me again, I don't want to add a 'Nuisance' named companion."

(The last two parts is "purposely" to be made as one liner)

*As Dezrin attempted to communicate with Cassandra, she made no obvious movements and in fact just lay there on the ground. If it wasn't for the occasional shallow breath she allowed herself to have, anyone else would have thought that Cassandra was now dead or in the process of dying. To be fair, she was in a rather bad way physically. She was dehydrated and hungry from not having eaten any food or drunk any fluids for quite some time. How long since she had had anything to eat or drink? It was hard to say given that she no longer bothered to keep track of time. It had been perhaps a few deaths ago on this island, when she still cared about such meagre things. Now, there was nothing to care about, not even about trying to die as death had proved to be no relief. She doubted that she could just disappear and fade out of existence, no matter how appealing she found it and how much she would like to. It seemed that her universe even found that beyond its ability or desire to give her that one thing when she needed it most. But that was just crazy talk. She knew that her universe would never give her that, given that it was now run by a being that benefited from her suffering and that her universe had no will of its own. She would know this, of course, as she made her universe herself. That was ancient history though, far from the relevance of today where she was nothing. Perhaps even worse than nothing, something that should not exist. Still, she knew that it did not matter what she thought about such and such a matter. There was no one that wanted her opinion on anything and even if they did, her opinion was not valuable in and of itself. Since the beginning, she was just an accessory...a fancy adornment to be shown off by her owner. Her own train of thought was interrupted by the feeling of warmth going through her body. Now, she barely registered the fact that Dezrin had earlier put his hand on her back so she had little idea how this warmth was possible or where it was. This warmth was not at all unpleasant but was something that Cassandra was far from used to. She looked around in a panic, trying to figure out what was going on. She could barely move her tired and under-fuelled body but move she tried. She was much too weak to push Dezrin's hand away or move away from him so she simply just stopped. She couldn't really do anything to defend herself and even if she wanted to, it would not change the result of what she thought was going to happen. Not that it mattered in the short, medium or long run, the answer seemed to be the same.*

“It’s alright, calm down.” Dezrin crooned at Cassandra when she began to weakly struggle. He ran the fingers of his free hand through her locks of hair, being careful to avoid the mattered strands as he softly hummed a lullaby that was often effective on his children in calming them down when they were scared. Now that she was dry and warm, Dezrin decided to take a risk in order to help her. He used the sonic frequencies that he could give off with the gauntlet and used them to essentially ‘shake’ the dirt and grime from Cassandra’s body, leaving her clean. It would undoubtedly feel like a slight tickling across her skin but it only lasted a few moments. He then poured his own energy into her, sacrificing a part of himself to help clear her head slightly. His already hungry stomach grumbled at him as he became even hungrier. But once he was sure that she could think a little clearer and wasn’t starving herself, he stopped the flow of energy.

He took a moment to steady himself before telling her, “I’m going to turn you over now.” He did it gently, as if he was handling a piece of glass. He turned her over so that she was on her back, but he didn’t settle her back onto the ground. Instead, he gathered her against him, pressing her head against his chest so that she could hear the rhythm of his dual cardiovascular system. It also allowed him to cradle her in one arm, keeping her safe from the world. His free hand was held out slightly, the lines glowing again for a few moments as he began to gather rain drops in a position above the palm of his hand. He stopped when he had a ball of clean water about the size of an apple. Cassandra would be able to see that it was clean, devoid of any particles. It sparkled slightly in the light given off by his gauntlet.

He moved his hand, bringing the water with it as he offered it to Cassandra, “Drink.” He said. His voice was gentle, but it was undoubtedly a command. He hoped that with energy and water in her body, it would at least cause her to function well enough so that they could at least talk so he could explain to her what was going on. He knew that she was very lost and confused right now. There was a flash of light and a loud rumble of thunder that shook the forest around them. Unconsciously, Dezrin drew Cassandra closer, hunching over a little as if he could protect her from the storm.

*By this time, Cassandra has realised that her body was indeed 'warm' and that was no real reason for it to be this way, given the weather and what had happened previously. Well, no real reason other than this person whom called out her name. Now, Cassandra still had no idea why this person was wanting her 'warm'. She couldn't think of any possible reason why this person would want her this way, any positive connotation to actions was still seemingly inconceivable at this point. But that was seemingly the only 'reason' that made any sense...that this person had no ill will. Which, of course, confused the hell out of Cassandra who knew of no one that would bear her any good will. Well unless this person had no idea that they just marked themselves for death, which was strictly within the realm of possibility. There still were places that the Church had not gotten to on her world. Not that it would change much, of course. Even if the Church could not get her, it didn't mean she was safe. Far from it, it just made things worse as she could not predict where danger lay as it would not be obvious. After all, she knew that, in her universe, nowhere was safe for her.*

*Before she could dwell on this mysterious individual more, she felt a strange 'tickling' sensation go over her body. She immediately let out a weak cry of surprise, followed by a bout of coughing. Yes, she was not in a good way. She wondered what the person just did and what the purpose of it was. There was literally no way for him to 'feel her up' all over that quickly...unless...but then she noticed she could no longer feel dirt on her body. Was...this person trying to get her clean? Why? Why go to the trouble? This really started to bother her. It was then that she was turned over onto her back. Her mind instantly reacted and tried to get her arms to cover herself instinctively...though her body refused to cooperate. She was a bit too weak for even that...though it hardly mattered. Even if she could cover herself with her arms, she figured that she would have a rather hard time fighting this person off. If they really wanted to, they could 'take' her as many times as they saw fit and there would be little she could do about it. She would have continued thinking like this if it wasn't for the fact that this person held Cassandra close to their chest, an intimate motion if any. This really confused Cassandra as, in her mind, he was putting himself at risk by holding her like this. After all, if she were armed, she could have stabbed him fatally by now. Of course, there was no way that could happen as she was not armed. In fact, this whole situation was very confusing for her. Why would anyone do this for her or for anyone else for that matter? It was then that she noticed that this person was offering her an 'apple' sized ball of water. Now, she could tell the water had no obvious impurities in it and could sense there was no magic in it other than what she could see. This person was literally offering her water...though given her tone of voice, it felt this person was telling her to drink.*

*While Cassandra felt like she should refuse the request, she knew that she had little option. She could refuse the water and be left to die...or forced to drink the water...or many other possible events could happen which mostly resulted in her dying and reincarnating again. It appeared that she was going to have to drink this water. So she moved to drink the 'orb' of water that this person was offering to her. As she drank it,  her parched throat reacted to the influx of fluid almost immediately. She started to cough violently as her throat was unused to fluid. It was just lucky for the person holding her that she didn't throw up or something.*

Dezrin knew that Cassandra should understand him, as he had been speaking nothing but her language. So he was pleased when she took a sip of the offered water, despite the fact that it resulted in her coughing. He gently shushed her, holding her against him as she continued cough. Once again in her language he said, “Take it slow. Don’t drink too much, too quickly. We don’t want you throwing up now, do we?” His tone was very loving and gentle, as he slowly encouraged her to drink more. He restricted the flow so that she could not drink too much at once, and risk another coughing fit. The entire time she was drinking the water he offered, he continued to hum the lullaby, which was always effective in calming down distressed children. It also worked on adults, and he hoped it would work on Cassandra as well.

Once the water was gone, he said in her language, “I know you likely want more, but if I give you too much right now you’re going to be sick. I will give you more soon.” He brushed her hair away from her face as he gave her one of his most engaging and boyish grin. He hoped that now he had given her a dose of energy, as well as something to drink, her mind will begin to clear up and allow him to be able to talk to her. It would also allow him to give her a few of the emergency MRE cubes he had in his bag. He had no doubt that she was severely malnourished and his father had given him the means to overcome that.

The energy he had sacrificed would do her good for a few hours but after that she would be back to square one again. He was grateful that his father was a damned genius to invent the super MRE’s, as they contained enough energy and nutrients for a full day's worth of meals. But the best part about them was that they were a small cube that would burst in the mouth, thus was perfect for someone in Cassandra’s position where they were unable to eat too much as their stomach would be far too constricted to get more than a few mouthfuls down. His father had given him explicit instructions on how to nurse Cassandra back to some measure of health. Still looking down at her, he asked in her language, “How are you feeling now? A little better?”

*Cassandra was still having a hard time believing that there was NOT some ulterior motive to this person getting her alive. Why else would anyone help her or want to keep her alive unless they got something out of it? She really could not see any reason this person would want to, unless they or someone else offered them something to do this. After all, the Church had marked her for death for heresy and being an overall inconvenience to them (being alive). Even if she were on another planet in her universe, she knew she couldn't expect mercy. Though many of her powers were no longer functional or being used for other purposes, she still had a few that gave her enough information about her universe to understand where she was safe. Her knowledge about her universe told her, of course, that she was not safe anywhere in her universe. It didn't matter where she went and what civilisation she ran into, she was persona non grata for one reason or another. While this level of universal undesirability would be hard, even amongst civilisations that were space-faring and shared intel on criminals and such, Cassandra was one where she was not wanted anywhere. She could not hide in her universe, no matter where she went and no matter whom she met. Part of the reason for this was that the Church of Utopia...was one of many 'versions' of the same religion that operated amongst those left in her universe. While specific details and the names and terms may differ, depending on the civilisation that it 'came' to be used by, the result was the same. If any being found her, then her eventual death was guaranteed...along with anyone that had the misfortune of associating with her. Which made this person's intervention even more mindbogglingly bizarre. Was this person a 'heretic' or wanting eternal damnation?*

*Perhaps she should ask this person...though the chance of them lying about their reasons was pretty much certain...at least in her mind. Then again, Cassandra was literally in a state where she could not trust anyone including herself. Given what had happened to her and she could not be certain she remembered everything in detail or be sure of its accuracy, her ability to trust was serious compromised. When Dezrin gave her his best 'boyish and engaging grin', Cassandra was left wondering if he was trying to hit on her or something. She tried to decipher his expression but could come up with nothing. Well, to be honest, she couldn't come up with anything positive certainly. Given that she had some water and her mind was working somehow...Cassandra decided to ask this person the obvious question.*

"...What do you want? Who sent you? What are they paying you?" Cassandra asked Dezrin coldly. It would be obvious to Dezrin that his charm was not working on her at the moment. She didn't ask him his name as he gave her it...though whether or not she believed that was his 'real' name didn't matter in her mind. As long as they responded consistently to it, that's what mattered.
