My Struggles (~CW: MENTIONS OF ABUSE, MENTAL ILLNESS, SU*C*DE, S*LF-H*RM~): I won't go into major detail, but let us just say I suffer from a host of mental health issues stemming from a combination of childhood and domestic abuse/neglect. As I have spent the past decade honing my writing skills on and off, I have also spent those long years locked in gruesome combat with myself on a daily basis. I have seriously considered suicide multiple times in my life, spent two weeks total of my life in mental hospitals, attended a several-month-long IOP (Intensive Outpatient Program), self-harmed, had countless mental breakdowns & panic/anxiety attacks, tried at least seven different medications, been through a total of nine therapists, and am regularly plagued with bouts of self-doubt/-hatred, passive suicidal ideations, anxiety, and depression. I say all of this not to seek pity or praise, but to clarify that I attribute my passion for writing solely to the misery/agony of mental illness. The "tortured artist" archetype might be seen as a harmful stereotype to some, but to me, the trope could not ring more true. Whether or not my mental health & emotional/interpersonal struggles help me to be a better artist... Well, I really have no say in that, so I will leave that for others to decide. Personally I think it helps, but that's just me. Another reason I name my struggles so openly is for the smallest, most minuscule possibility that may exist... that someone, somewhere out there, will have similar issues as me and feel the way I have felt most of my life—hopeless, lost, aimless, terrified, etc.—and not know what to do. And that maybe that someone (be they black, white, brown, gay, straight, bi, Christian, Jewish, Buddhist, Pastafarian, whatever) will see that they, too, can be open about their struggles, proud of who they are, and maybe even ignite a tiny spark of hope within their souls. That is my true wish, and it is why I am currently attending college in order to start a career in helping children prepare for the rocky roads ahead of them in life. 

Why I Am Here: Quite simply put, I arrived on this site by Googling "adult roleplay community." That's really it. My original goal was to simply find some people with whom I could do private roleplays (and now that still rings true). Once I read about Club Roleplays I was immediately hooked. I thought, "This is the perfect way to create my dream universe for a novel!" And so that is my ultimate goal. I am here to create communities of people who, like myself, enjoy getting lost in the world of fantasy. Anyone that contributes to what will hopefully become my first novel(s) someday will definitely be thanked and credited profusely. It's not that I cannot create the lore and settings myself; it's that I want to hear from others' perspectives and include their ideas, forming details and using outside-the-box thinking that I could simply not accomplish on my own.  I've been role playing for well over ten years now.  That doesn't mean I'm any better at this than anyone else, in all honesty I've gotten lazy over the years.
