Happy that you asked as it's a mix of mangas I've read and found interesting over the usual stuff. There are three in total that I've gained inspiration for. DeadTube| A very... 'interesting' Seinen manga series written by Mikoto Yamaguch. It's very graphic and doesn't shy away from showing that the world isn't happy. It draws inspiration from various forms of media like Youtube, Streaming, and other modern media mixed with a heavy dose of the internet's darker side. It touches on many themes most people don't like to address, i.e. (Murder, Rape, Trauma, Manipulation, Torture, etc.) If you've got the stomach for it, I recommend reading it. Lookism| A Korean Manhwa created in 2014 by former author and Ulzaang Taejoon Park. A webcomic series that delves into how discrimination is based on a person's attractiveness. The character experiences the world's unfairness and hate, while also seeing the kindness and individual treatment through the other. Their new body takes them through numerous life experiences from becoming a miniature celebrity, a trainee for an entertainment company, and modeling for clothes. However, once the day turns to night, this rosy dream turns back into a harsh reality of what the world is after. Household Affairs| To break it down to avoid the apparent cliche title, the Neglected wife commits adultery with the delivery boy, but unbeknownst to her husband is an assassin. Beyond that, the story has a twist and turns more focused on the husband, living a double life. I didn't care for the infidelity/cheating aspect as it becomes mundane too and pushed to the side when the wife isn't involved. Synopsis of my idea #Killstagram (YC) Your character has everything -- she's super pretty, has the best brand sponsorships on social media, and gets 10,000 likes within seconds of posting a selfie. If there is something, YC doesn't like all it will take: is a single tweet to have them either ruined, wrapped around her finger, or apologizing publicly. An entitled brat who expects to get everything because she's beautiful. YC is surprised that after half a year, someone is moving next door from her luxurious apartment. (MC) My character doesn't fit into the world she's created and tries to do the usual routine, but can't find anything on him no matter how hard she tries. This leads to her entire world being twisted upside down in the worst way one night when following him night learning MC's secret and being dragged into his world. If you expect this to be a highly sexual story, then I can tell you that this isn't my aim right now. I'm leaning towards story then smut, so if that is what you're looking for, I'm not the one for you. This is about bringing someone into a world parallel where people do awful things for fame, money, and the sheer thrill of it.

Hello, I am looking to do a 1x1 long term fantasy adventure roleplay with romance and adventure. I have a few genres and ideas I am looking to do this with. All will be matured up to adults. They are not listed in any order. Black Clover Fairy Tail X Black Clover My Hero Academia Dragonball/Z/GT/Super One Piece -My character is the lone survivor of corrupt Marines destroying her whole village with devil fruits. She not only wants revenge she wants a fruit of her own, and to discover the secrets of their powers to end the world government. She can either make a pirate or revolutionary. Fairy Tail -My character was an orphan raised and experimented on. She recently escaped and now they are after her. What will she find after a life of captivity? Dragon Quest -My character and perhaps yours are the Luminary or Dragon Knight Emissaries of the god created to save the world from evil. Dungeons and Dragons -I would like to roleplay through all the campaigns, original story, and beyond. Isekai Genre -My character and maybe your character get somehow or another transported to another world with magic. Secret Magical World Genre -Harry Potter is an example of this genre but won't be used Psychic (me) and Detective (you) -My character will be a real psychic woman. She will do a lot of sixth sense type of things. Your character will have to be both the professional mystery solver and the brute force against the supernatural. Magic College/University -My character and yours go to a supernatural school, they also use their abilities to fight off magic threats, be them from the school or otherwise. Rules -Expect to use a Discord Server -Be 18+ (I am over 18 and expect you to be too) -Be willing to game master (game master controls story, outcomes, additional characters, and gets their own main character) -OCs (original characters) only. (Sorry I don't like to play with stories and characters preexisting. What is an Isekai? Isekai, or "different world," is a Japanese genre of light novels, manga, anime, and video games that revolve around a person transported to and has to survive in another world, such as a fantasy world, virtual world, planet, or parallel universe. This plot device allows the audience to learn about the new world at the same pace as the protagonist. The genre can be divided into "transition into another world" and "reincarnation into another world." In "transition into another world" stories, the protagonist gets transported to another world (e.g., traveling into it or being summoned). In many examples, the Main Character is an ordinary person who thrives in their new environment thanks to being expected in the real world to being seen as extraordinary in the "other" world. These can be physical characteristics, such as hair or eye color, or average, everyday skills they learned in their previous life, such as cooking, engineering, primary education, or medicine. Which are far more advanced in the real modern world than in the world they are sent to. An offshoot of the isekai genre is the "second chance" or "reincarnation" genre, where a protagonist who, upon dying, finds themselves transported, not to a different world and new body, but into their own younger self. With their new knowledge and older intellect, they can relive their life, avoiding their previous pitfalls. Usually, the protagonist manages to deal with why they've been transported, summoned, reincarnated, etc. They are allowed to be returned home. The big question is, what happens afterward when the reason you are brought to this world has come to a close? Story idea Your Character was just an average person... Who lived an average life but was transported to this strange world over a year ago. They cried a lot at first, wanting to escape from it all, though after learning that there was a chance you'd be able to return home. The idea of going back to your life had hardened your resolve, and you adapted to this world. On the battlefield, where many people who killed and were killed... Your Character tried their best to uphold the values of justice and equality that their teammates often spoke so strongly about. The time spent learning the true meaning of courage and camaraderie. Things that they hadn't understood before arriving in this world. For an average person, it would be too for them to understand, but they'd grown strong, so much so that more people were relying on them than your Character counted on them. They'd lost a lot but gained a lot, too. Times where they would have stumbled at a few obstacles but were able to overcome more. Finally... a year-long journey came to a close. Three weeks after saving one world, your Character returns to earth only to find that they have lost everything. It seems that while they were away, things hadn't stopped. Parents worried and tried to find their child only to have one face an unfortunate accident. The other, overwhelmed by grief, took their own life. They asked that their passing publicize that the media outlets publish your characters' missing person report even to the end. Your Character's family wasn't wealthy enough to have money left behind. Money wasn't the only thing they lacked. No Family. No Higher education. No Social Status In this place, the 'You' no longer exist. Your Character saved the world. Saved countless people's lives, and as people searched for them, our Character risked their lives to come back here... so why have they been abandoned? Reason for writing all this— This comes from a webcomic called 'Yongsaga dorawatda' or, for the majority of us who have no idea what that says, 'The Warrior Returns.' It resonated with me because, for once, it took the stale concept of other worlds and being transported. The ramifications of what happens when a character is gone for so long, or they die. The world moves on, and people are hurt. There isn't a happy ending for people sometimes.

I'd like for this to he an open platform for communal story telling and world development. Their are no formal rules for this aside from abiding by the sites ToS. Feel to drop in and drop of the roleplay at anytime. Credit for this formating idea goes out to @Gangsta Moll Hisses! The landing gear of the medium size vessel would unfold giving it a stable foundation. The exit hatch would slowly lower to the ground onto a foreign blue grass. A large man would walk down his laser rifle and ready emitting a loud crackling sound as the mechanism heats up. The man is wearing lose fitting black military pants a tight fitting flexible black shirt composed of nano-fibers due it's lightweight and study defenses his combat boots tied tightly to his leg. His light blue eyes scanning the surroundings for hostile life, safe, he'd lower his gun and run his hand across his jar head style hair cut before he would begin to bark out order to the gunts. This man was Hendrick the lead security op for this expedition, he was in charge of assuring the safety of all non-combatents on the vessel. He would stroll calmly down the ramp as his mean would run past him weapons raised to secure the perimeter. Once his men cleared the area he'd give the all clear for the rest of the ships inhabitants to come out and see where their new home would be for the foreseeable future.

So this ones kinda weird and potentially really dark. Ever wanted to be haunted by a ghost? Haunted We'd been friends since childhood, growing up just a few houses away and the same age we'd quickly become inseparable. Even from a young age our parents and family friends would joke about us becoming a couple. All of this only got worse once we'd reached High School, the constant goading and joking probably delaying the process. Despite us both knowing deep down the rumors were mostly true neither of us ever plucked up the courage to act on it and things rolled on and on, both of us getting more and more awkward the more we noticed it. we'd become oddly distant by the end of the semester but after some convincing we all agreed to wait and walk home together like we all used to. I'm late getting out of the class and you're about to give up waiting assuming i've bottled it you and our friends start walking and have passed the busy road, by the time i get out. Spotting you i rush to the curb, waving and shouting your name to get your attention, turning around you cant help but blush over how beautiful i'm looking in the Autumn sun. carelessly i cross the road, not paying attention to my surroundings, none of us see the car speeding down the street. and i'm struck by the car, brutally flipped over the chassis before they speed off away. now driving even more erratically from the accident. (Authors note* Turns out they were high school kids, just a year up from us, who had stolen one of their dads car and were not supposed to be driving) Sadly I succumb to my injuries and you become utterly inconsolable, spending most of the holiday in your room, the only time you even saw your friends was at my funeral, everyone walking on egg shells not to upset you, knowing how you must be hurting. and nobody was surprised when you didn't come back at the start of the new semester. but after a few weeks like this your family have finally had enough and manage to convince you the need to go back to classes. Relenting just to be left alone again you go to sleep early, trying to prepare for the day ahead. the reminders it'll bring, the awkward moments etc. The alarm rings out and you slowly stir awake, the covers of the bed are much heavier than normal and everything is so warm and snug. You just want to stay like this forever, but it's not right, not wanting to open your eyes you try to think up a logical explanation, assuming it's your younger sister you whine, telling me to get out of your bed and even try to swat me on the head. drawing a familiar whine and voice. panicked your eyes dart open, shifting into focus your greeted with a snuggly sleepy me! still clinging and trying to keep snoozing. And thats where we'd start. and well theirs two kinda arc's? paths? well one is dark, turns out a delusion for a girlfriend isn't healthy and you slowly shut yourself away from the rest of the world, only wanting me. your mind rotting away as you slip into an unrecognizable stuper, until even your delusion of a girlfriend is done with you. And the other is far more lighthearted, where we explore the relationship we never had with all the hijinks of living with a ghost Until I eventually try to save you and help you move on.

It's a happy ending plot, but it takes a WHILE to get to that happy ending.

story driven Villain x Hero Roleplay!

This is a bit of a niche request, but I need to satisfy this craving I have. Basically I want to RP a story between a Hero and a Villain, from when they both start as two clumsy dorks, to actual fearful arch enemies. My character will be an evil scientist (Trans or Cis Male), which can either be made on the spot or I can use one of my own OCs. Your character can be pretty much any type of hero. I don't have many ideas as to why my baddy becomes evil, but one idea I gathered was that he stumbled upon a machine that drove him mad ever since he found it when he was young. The world can also be hero-centered or similar to real life, where Heroes are only seen as fictional. This can start in any way you desire, but the ending is...well...fixed. Ya see, I made this prompt for the ending, specifically. I am a sucker for final battles between bad guy and good guy, especially the ones where right before the hero wins, the baddie pulls out his last resort. His plan B. Which often is a syringe to permanently or temporarily transform themselves into a hideous beast and try to crush the hero. This can either end well for the baddie, or well for the hero, or neither die and they both are reminded of their past as good friends. The two have a favorite song they shared since childhood! Sad stuff. There can be long dialogues between scenes/fights, and even lots of flashbacks! I love those a LOT, especially if they show the chemistry between the two. If you don't want to waste time for a backstory, we can simply begin the RP with the 'ending'. It can be angsty, it can be dramatic, but it's definitely going to be badass. No Canon characters, please. Only Original Characters! -

The Relitalia empire which is a Martriarchal empire would like to spread the idea that women are superior to men. In the Relitalia empire men are slaves or soldiers. Both countries are in armaments race for the war that is to come and both countries created a new weapon based on a newly found energy source. This new weapon are MBS for Magical Battle Soldiers. They are living created with genetic engineering that are fused with a block of Idroline, the new energy found. These MBS are usually human beings with animals assets and quality. And they possess magic power related to different theme (elements, nature, dimensions, darkness, climats, fantastic magic, physical magic, psyche, ice) usually a MBS possesses maximum 1 or 2 magic.
