  2. For Alicia's starting relationship I chose the following: Aldert Helsink Current heir to the Helsink noble clan. A large man in peak physical condition, only a little older than Alicia. He doesn't take 'no' lightly and tends to get his way one way or another. Of decent intelligence. Courageous, albeit with some hesitation when it comes to monsters. He was raised to believe the von Vulfs as monsters. Taught skills to bring low the last 'Vampire' of the east. He has people at his disposal. While he seeks justice for the death of his grandfather and the debilitating injuries of his father, he is an honorable man who keeps his word, and no

  4. I'm about half way through step 1 but I'm stymied by a Distinction and a Resource. What I have so far is from Outlandish: +2 Power (power seems crucial to an Ashborn Missionary, but framed as "Power is required to fight oppressive power") d6 w/ Ashborn (She made me what I am) My thought for Distinction is something connected to being one of the Unbound - I live the idea of pushing this toward a Shaolin style monk, but don't have a clear vision of what that would look like. There's definitely a "Wanted" element to it - the Unbound are heretics to the New Church and a populist new schism to the Old Church - but I feel like i
  5. A thousand apologies work is very busy today I'll setup a character ASAP.
  6. Ok. I think I've done this correctly? Missy Fisher should be fully set up in the character thread.
  7. Millicent ‘Missy’ Fisher Background: Outlandish Values d4 Honor (Caveat emptor. Contracts are like gravity: they’ll break your knees the second you forget they can.) d6 Glory (Everyone who’s brushed me aside is going to see how wrong they were.) d4 Passion (If I’m not having a good time, what’s the point of any of it?) d4 Justice (When we’re both holding iron, we can talk about what’s fair.) d6 Power (Everything in this room, it’s all mine—even you. Show me I’m wrong.) d4 Truth (Truth is a cold bed and a flat beer. People don’t want the truth.) Relationships d4 Millie Gearhart (Cle

  9. Yes, that works perfectly. It's really not super critical which one you choose, unless you're building an automaton, in which case you'd need to select Constructed. Otherwise it's just semantics, and the only difference is what options it gives you to build the character. You could have an Common-Born origin and still end up Wealthy, or vice versa. It's mostly just to try to help give you inspiration to create the character and think about their origin.
  10. Alicia von Vulf Origin: Prodigy (Scientific genius on the run!) Values d4 Honor (Lies are locks and shields but to promise something is to give truth to that thing at a future date.) d4 Glory (It is only occasionally useful to stand out, but sometimes it is necessary.) d4 Passion (Love, affection, and lust are strange weaknesses of mine which both confuse, perplex, and excite me all the same.) d4 Justice (Rarely is the law of man fair and often is it necessary to carry out the law by one's own hands.) d4 Power (Knowledge is power and power is a very useful, often necessary tool.) d6 Truth (Truth is
  11. So I am having a bit of issues with deciding on an Origin. Privileged works on paper but it isn't really what defines her, and she lost that status very early. At the moment she keeps up appearances of still holding that sort of status, but little more than that. Prodigy sort of works. She has always been scientifically gifted. But it hasn't been what has fully defined her either. If anything it has been what has kept her alive, but also gotten her into trouble. She has been on the run most of her life, never quite sticking to one place long enough due to misfortune and people attempting to track her down for any number of reasons.
  12. I went ahead and added a Characters thread for the game.
  13. Saha Sky Eyes Origin: Outlandish (Raised by Natives) Step up Glory or Power twice, or step up each once. Add a Distinction (Recommended: Daring, Trouble Magnet, Shameless Flirt). Step up a Resource. Step up a Relationship, Asset, or Resource. Values d4 Honor (statement) d4 Glory (statement) d4 Passion (statement) d4 Justice (statement) d8 Power (Is required to fight oppressive power) d4 Truth (statement) Relationships d4 Millicent Gearheart (Millie) d4 Millicent
  14. Oh, and don't forget to add each of the other PCs as a d4 Relationship to your character sheet. I didn't include that in the instructions.
  15. This is perfect. Keep in mind, just because they're not on the sheet, doesn't mean they don't exist in the fiction. Family members, past lovers, etc. can and do all exist, even if they're not on the pathways map. The ones on the map are going to be connected to other locations, PCs, NPCs, and events placed on the map, often in ways you did not expect. You addition of Willis is pure gold. He's an NPC I can use, and I can't wait to see if and how he gets connected to others.
  16. From the initial post in this thread: 1. Start with the basics of worldbuilding. Working from that original description (in the very first post): Write down anything that YOU WANT to be in this game, concepts, set pieces, species, tech, etc., for you to enjoy it. If you want there to be Automaton's write it down. If you just think they'd be cool, but you don't really care one way or the other, don't write it down. This is the list of "I want this to be in the world!" Write down anything that you DO NOT WANT in the game. If zombies will ruin the setting for you, let us know. Once we get input from everyone, we set the
  17. Ok, so Millie has a sister and a father in her past. I'm actually going to create a character with a negative connection in the town, if that's acceptable? Willis Sloan is as close to an outlaw as you can get while still balancing on the right side of legality. He owns and operates a trading post in (town name), but is involved in shady dealings. Millie was forced to borrow money from Willis a few months back, and the interest is piling up. Of course, she could pay him back in a heartbeat if she were still at home, or with the help of her family, but fuck that. And as months tick by, so too does his patience tick down. I'll post the
  18. Yeah, was not reading theirs, but did notice they had been posting a lot more. Bigger team helps I’m sure, and guessing none of them had the hard time answering the initial question that I did. Not sure how helpful following their examples would be in figuring out what to start with. But right now we are just trying to figure out stuff we really do or do not want to be part of the world.
  19. I read the same but wanted to confirm I hadn't missed anything! Thanks!
  20. I think it's just one to start? That's what it says in the pathways step in the Rules thread
  21. question; should I be adding ONE person to my character's miro, or more than one if other appropriate folks from the past?
  22. When you add your NPC to the Miro board, click on the arrow and type your relationship to them. Something like "in love with" or "needs me to protect them" or whatever you think. Also, post here and let us know who that person is to you, and what things you've added to your sheet. If there's not a Distinction, Ability, or Heritage that fits what you have in mind listed, mention it here and we can custom-make one for you.
  23. Lucky Twice

    Emily Nightshade

Emily Nightshade is a pokemon trainer of the... mean type. As a young kid she was made fun for being a futanari. Now that she's older, she treats others withequal ire. She's known as someone who is more like a Team Rocket grunt, rather than a goodie-goodie. Emily usually can be found on a trail, bullying anyone she managed to win against. Age: 18 Weight: slim Height: 5'5 Breast Size: C-Cup
