  1. I wouldn't say Shinigami escalated it slowly. She was told no twice, and then someone next to her had his logic refuted and then she put doom on her at that point it was rapid but it was the only way to go. There was simply no logical reason for her enemies to be okay with her leaving out, and Rie is Rie. Rie doesn't fear death, she fears for the health of others and is not corrupted. Like I said it was damned if you do / damned if you don't type of situation. I get that, and while thats an intense amount of power if Saitai is fine with it then that is what it is. I think, however, that doesn't justify the auto-hitting at least to me. I get with the rules as is it couldn't be executed to its fullest but I will say I am not comfortable with that going forward. If you want to inflict Doom on any of my characters then that should at least be discussed with me beforehand please. I'm fine running with it in this situation for the flow of things. It kind of a bit too late anyhow lol
  2. Well thats why I had one of my other characters (secretly a villain) show up cause the situation needed a bit of an out but he's the type that would find it entertaining. Kind just standing there though cause there is a big wall of cold wind in the way lol
  3. There, I can see them now. Heeey another scientist! Nice. Rie is less concerned about herself across the board as opposed to others and has her own history to factor in. Rie is talker for sure, but the defiance is kind of required given the situation. Wouldn't exactly be the first person to threaten her, plus she only pulled her weapon cause the fox escalated first She actually barely exchanged words with Shinigami before Shinigami put the death curse on her other than telling her they wouldn't show her around and that she wasn't welcome lol cause otherwise she was talking to Azrael more which I don't think was actually all that odd given what he said. It doesn't really help that the only other suggestion was to just kinda trust the demon who just appeared to not cause trouble for the "lower lifeforms" and maybe you'll gain something out of it. That seems a bit of a risk to ask of a non-corrupted magical girl and not expect no push-back. They don't know Shinigami, don't know if she's a real death god. Demon's boast. The whole Hold no Cards things was more or less an attempt to speak logic to the demoness who showed up in a place full of magical protectors so whether she killed Rie or not it would, logically, be trouble. I will say though that while I am fine with the character concept I think being able to just automatically, apparently just with no counter and as an auto-hit, put a death curse on someone without giving them a proper heads-up is a little worrying. That should really only be something you do to your own character and frankly if it had been done to Mitsuko then Rie absolutely would have begrudgingly backed down. I'll be honest I wasn't expecting that and it'd be a bit of a betrayal of Rie's character to suddenly have her back down in fear. I figured something would interrupt that but just decided to kinda run with it I guess which was a mistake on my part but I just tend to run with things. If Shinigami is mad that she's being talked back to and not trusted....yeah? Rie would die regardless in that event. I mean kind of a damned if you do / damned if you don't situation realistically.
  4. I mean I really don't know what Shinigami is trying here. Invading a place full of her enemies, not hiding her presence, and then expecting them to just kinda roll over and say "Sure just go ahead and walk around." seems...odd. Rie is definitely just kinda daring her for it cause...Rie isn't corrupted. She has pretty much no reason to just let that happen. She is, very much, actually dedicated to her job so she kinda had to stay firm on that. I dunno they just refuse to load for me no matter what I do, even on other browsers. They worked before but just broke one day. Its why you aren't seeing too many physical descriptions on my posts here...I forgotten what she looks and I can't check. I dunno why its like that.
  5. I lied. Decided to pull in another character who is totally not an alien there to help keep things clean. Also I dunno if its just me but the pictures for Shinigami are busted and not loading.
  6. The demon's own lack of reaction did little to deter Rie's own as she stood there "Gross. The only thing I'll ask you to spare me is the tired, mealy-mouthed rubber routine demon." she said disregarding most of what she said "You were not invited." and then it moved to 01. A moment more and they'd see whether this one was all bark or if she had any bite. Rie didn't look very scared about it either from a lack of belief in her words or a true lack of concern about the possible result but she didn't move back instead staring dead ahead. It either happened or it didn't. "Better dead than to betray the trust of the people we protect." would be her last words on the topic before.....Mitsuko stepped between them. Begging. This was the only time Rie's face change as she looked at her new teammate and softened as she spoke. Rie sighed "Mitsuko...you are brave. It will serve you well." and she looked to the demon but her look was no less hateful "Unfortunately.....you're wrong. It is a game, especially, for these abominations." pointing a finger at the demon just past her before turning a calm gaze to Mitsuko "Fear. Sadness. Loneliness. These shows of force are common to their kind. If you are susceptible to any of it then they win. I've seen what that can do to even the best of us and I'm past it. Its not worth stepping aside for." she didn't lower her weapon or back away but she didn't move either "Nor a luxury we have." Still she didn't move though she looked at Mitsuko with sadness she only looked at Shinigami with hatred. Rie tilted her head "Close your eyes." Pap! The sound of a closing book came from behind that cold barrier. "I do quite enjoying seeing Immovable Objects meeting Unstoppable Forces even if its only that way in ideology." a voice from beyond the cold shield. A white haired gentleman with book in hand was staring right at them, smile on his face. The book bore an ancient language upon it. Sumerian. He dressed rather nicely and under the hat...a head of silver. He hummed "But before we set about attempting to answer an ancient question, or testing whether that counter means anything but theatrics I suggest....compromissum." though he looked to Azrael to see if he'd be willing to drop the barrier. He didn't much care but he would wave a hand "Apologize for interrupting but I couldn't help but be curious." she said "The Nurse is correct, but in the interest of peace I suggest we give the rude demoness what she desires....in part." he said though it was unclear when he got there or how he did so without alert. "How about the back channels or a nice costume? We don't have to go about parading a demon through the convention in full view and if you are so inclined a watchful eye can be kept on her. She does not interact with the people, and we avoid a nasty incident." though he did point to Shinigami "Though if you could do something about that horrible stench about you that will make this simpler." he said. "Of course if not well....Madam you might not fear death but punishment doesn't have to come with expiry. Attending this celebration are great multitude of protectors. It does alarm me but a fair few of them are not quite as heroic as these fine heroes and well....your kind has done enough damage that they'd be more than happy to make things last." though he looked to everyone but Rie to potentially cosign a compromise either way with Mitsuko's outburst and this new presence the air could clear a little before it really got out of hand. He didn't introduce himself but things were too tense for that. Rie was still there but she didn't say anything more. If everyone around her was willing to compromise then she was outnumbered and could do nothing else. She wouldn't like it and she'd be beyond angry but there would be little she could do.
  7. Rie was less than impressed with the knights logic as she continued to stare it down "I beg your pardon Sir Knight." she said reaching into her pouch "We're not exactly novices." she said though Mitsuko did fill such a role Rie looked less unsure "She appears without warning, purposefully making her presence known. The lack of fear or concern for the many that could put her down means she's either powerful or she has some trick up her sleeve. I became a magical girl as a child. I have never met a single demon with anything more than horrid intention delivered either by words or by force." she took a step forward "Our job as Magical Protectors is to safeguard those 'lower lifeforms' as she calls them demonstrating the standard lack of love for our charges that many of her worthless kind do." Rie sounded aggressive, barely keeping control of her famous temper as she pondered on this creature more. Its presence really did bother her. "And you want to let it walk free? You want to allow it to walk among the people we protect? That would be stupid even if she promises to behave. We are the safeguard against these creatures not their tour guides! You are suggesting we let this hazard roam among the people she has little respect for. Those people out there have faith in us to protect them from things like this...but what faith would they have if they realized we let one roam free? Not worth sacrificing." she really did not like his logic on the situation but she calmed with a deep breath, giving him only a side-eye before returning it to the demonness who spoke herself. She really only did confirm Rie's suspicions about her with every word. Shinigami? A Death God? No...that was only her name as she had introduced. They were creatures of darkness, Kami, but this one felt too close to a demon to be a Kami. The name though evoked power of death and if she bore such a name then perhaps that was a clue as to her abilities and within moments? She decided to give a demonstration. A counter. 30 and ticking down. Rie pulled from her pouch a syringe which she uncapped as it grew to its full enormous size. Hardly welcoming really. She preferred that focus be on her so did not budge though she got closer to stand before her. Keep those eyes on her and show she wouldn't be so easily backed down. She had been a magical girl for far too long. "You want to play? We can play. What cards do you think you hold?" she asked "Kill me, prove you're a threat, and die anyway. Go outside even with Sir Knight's permission and the multitude of protectors here will hunt you down. Some of us are a bit more gung-ho so damage would be likely ignored if they knew it was in service of ridding these grounds of an infestation." she said "Maybe you have some way to hide yourself in which case it would have been smarter for you to do that instead if you were really just here to see the sights." "And what? Think you can threaten me and get your way? Jokes on you! They don't even like me." another likely tasteless joke though possibly delivered too seriously to be properly registered as one though of course they could immediately ruin that but even still this was Rie's way to testing this....demon. She would have preferred the others arrive too but right now? It was just them. "So whats your endgame besides being a nuisance?" the clock was ticking but Rie wasn't exactly the type to back down.
  8. Rie looked back at the man who had joined them "What sort of idiot hears out a demon?" she stated bluntly not disguising the clear annoyance with the idea. He seemed familiar, not that she had ever met him but as though she had seen him before. Perhaps she had passed him in the halls or seen his countenance. It was difficult to focus and ponder on the name before their new guest spoke up as well. Rie clicked her tongue "Not helping your case furball." not dropping her guard even as she moved. It didn't matter that she didn't appear hostile as her mere presence was an affront. Rie did not like this at all but she kept control of herself. No need to start a battle first though her hand did travel close to her bag just in case. The crosses within the magical healers eyes were more apparent, brighter as her own magical energy would build. It was a clear indicator that she as more than ready to fight. She was moving clearly unworried again asking them to show her around. Maybe they should? No matter who this was parading her in front of the veritable army of Magical Warriors would have her dealt with but.....that put the normal in danger. No it was best to keep things where they were for now. Rie looked out of the corner of her eye at Mitsuko and then at the demonness "No." she answered though it was for herself primarily. Jumi, the man, and even Mitsuko were their own people. Rie had no intention extending that hand. "This is not the place for you." stating it once more and a bit more firmly though she had a feeling it hardly mattered what she said here.
  9. Rie had already mostly forgotten the situation earlier in any event, simply viewing Mitsuko as another member of the team though it wasn't quite official yet. She was focused purely on the idea that a demon, confident, had made their presence known. She did nod to the creature though if the situation was lighter she wouldn't hesitate to list off a various observatory names in the hopes of hitting upon one. It wasn't important right now. It was frustrating. This was meant to be a stress-free time and yet here they were potentially faced with another of hellspawn with little decorum. Ah. Rie despised the servants of the dark. Rie followed or rather moved in line. She stuck close...prepared. The presence felt dark. Demonic, and yet apart. The world of magic had many foes of many types. She could only be sure this wasn't an alien, at least, not anything like the ones she had met during her adventures in another city. Inside step and step and soon those orange eyes would land on the source of this feeling. Not human. Canid. Fox-like. Rie knew demons and monsters came in all shapes and forms so the overall sculpt of evil rarely rated anything more than a mental note. She stood quiet with the others before the demoness spoke...or was she a demon? There was no doubt in the mind of the healer that this was an enemy but what is was? She couldn't pinpoint with an exactness and that made her more uneasy. She moved just a little, ready to move in front of either Jumi or Mitsuko should this creature try to harm them. "What are you doing here?" she asked point blank. Did it really want a look around? No doubt if she did then she'd have assumed a more....mundane visage. She looked at Mitsuko trying to search for any recognition but she looked just as unknowing as the rest of them. She turned back "This really isn't the place for...whatever you are." no need for a mock welcome. This presence was anything but.
  10. Since I have Rie there I won't pull in anyone else though pretty much any of my other characters are still around and open.
  11. Rie's day after she had left the girls could only be described as a whirlwind. The nurse made good on her word to head to the Dealer's area looking for a particular figure and she did eventually find it in some forgotten corner. It had been marked up by a great amount but the figure was unopened. It would have been perfect if she had been the only person looking but instead she would come into conflict with another eager collector. What had been bargaining eventually turned to arguing, and arguing would eventually turn to wrestling until finally Rie had gotten her prize...and a bloody nose though she had given them a split lip as a result. It was only her innate desire to keep people in perfect health that saw them taken care of. They did also go to eat too sharing stories, talking about anime, and for a few them speaking openly of the Magical Warriors they admired and their adventures though with that it also turned to arguing for reasons Rie did keep her opinions mostly to herself. She decided to remain with the group was they tore through the convention, finally finding like-minded people with energy to match as they partook in various activities like Karaoke, games, and a few reenactments. Rie didn't even seem to mind when a few of the members couldn't help but flirt with and occasionally cozy up to her. She was much the same so was more than happy to play along. Her thoughts did wander to Jumi and Mitsuko on occasion hoping they were alright but she was sure if anything went wrong Jumi would call for her or she'd hear something. The Magical Nurse simply had a good time but eventually a thought did occur to her. An activity and something that could only really be done as a magical being. She would say goodbye to her new friends and break off and make her way towards a certain area where others tended to train and compete. Rie competing in anything was a dangerous prospect but she was determined to attain a time worth talking about. It was always her goal. She wanted to reach the top! With her prize in hand she would jog her way there though the closer she got the more she felt something....off. Magical Beings were quite attuned to these things. Presences beyond human. Her own senses were going off. Rie had been at this for a long time and so she knew when something was...dangerous. No. Surely no demon would be dumb enough to act right? She was sure. It would be suicide for even one of their vile leaders to appear here without cover. This was a place full of their enemy. There were incredibly strong Knights and Girls here. No demon would.... But the thinning crowd....it was safer yes? She stopped for a moment quickly transforming, forgoing the usual lengthy performance as she wreathed herself in power and she moved faster prize still in hand. If it was dangerous then it was her duty to attend. She ran until she finally reached the competition area, entering through another door opposite the the direction of the encroaching presence. Her eyes narrowed as she looked around though she did see two familiar faces "Jumi! Mitsuko!" she called to them with a wave though her attention turned to Jumi "Its good that you two are safe." sounding as though she were genuinely worried. She would looked Mitsuko over in her new outfit before falling onto the.....creature on Jumi's shoulder though she knew it wasn't hers instead looking to Mitsuko "Your guardian?" she asked motioning to the. She studied it. Cat. Not a simple cat. She supposed many of them did have something like that. She looked past the two girls "Feels dark. I can't quite pin it down by feel alone." "If you're going to go looking then so am I."
  12. I'll have Rie show up, say she was already on her way there anyway for one reason or another
  13. So if they're in the training / competition area would that be mostly empty? Maybe a few stragglers who might be inclined to do anything could make it simple.
  14. Well its a full swing convention as far as I can tell so while others might not be playing there at the moment I imagine there are still other people especially Magical Girls and Knights But I'll leave it up to y'all before I have Rie barge in just in case.
  15. Yeah I'd say any threat entering a place full of magical warriors ready for battle wouldn't go so well. I'll have Rie pop up again once they leave the building if thats the way you go about it saying she was nearby and felt it too so got worried.
  16. I'm assuming it has something to do with the new character you made? She could show up there yeah.
  17. Yeah Rie is still there and yep I've been following just didn't wanna interrupt lol. I mean if you and @SataiRolePlayingGuy don't mind she could show up again in a bit to check in. None of my characters are doing anything ATM really.
  18. Did you click on it or is Furaffinity just not linking for you?
  19. Interesting creature. It does work yeah.
  20. Goodness the muse is fickle when trying to make characters sometimes
  21. Sometimes things just don't go to plan. Gotta love what that thappens.
  22. True Name: Miz'Kai'Ro Empire Name: Obsidous True Age: [?][?][?][?] True Species: Deepborn True Sex: Male True Title: The Soulless Tide True Size: 7'6" True Eye Color: Aqua True Personality: Inquisitive. Pragmatic. Mad. Brilliant. Obsidous is a man wholly devoted to knowledge and loyal to the Empire. He is actually quite jovial and can even appear to be extremely kind on the surface. The truth of things is that almost everyone is a mere curiosity, a thing to be studied, broken, dissected until he knows the whole of it. It is only when he finds someone or something of disinterest that he treats it as what it is....a spec of dust that he is free to destroy and manipulate as he wishes. There are few people he would consider truly worthy and is quite judgemental especially when it comes to lower lifeforms. This also means he is willing to do whatever it takes to achieve victory with minimal friction even if it requires sacrificing his "allies" and loyal troops. However to the few he considers worthy he is entirely loyal to the last...it is merely difficult to earn that manner of favor. True History: A traitor to his people. A scourge to worlds. A loyal horror to Her Dark Majesty. Obsidous His world was one of beauty built in the deep depths of a planet made of beautiful water. His people advanced and harmonious, forged by countless era in a deep dark world. He was born to a brilliant mother, and took after her in the ways of study. He advanced quite quickly, growing almost obsessive with discovery and understanding. It was this impulse that would, perhaps, lead him into the arms of a great Darkness. An off-world study, a great exploration that led him to find legends of a thing so great and so terrible. He wished to know more and so spent untold years looking until he found it or rather...it found him. Far from his world and with countless planets explored he had found -her- and soon enough he would join her empire. It was quite fitting that the test of his new devotion was to cause his world to fall....and he did not hesitate. He led the enemy to the door. He poisoned the waters and scattered his own people or brought them to heel. He proved his worth to -Her- and soon was made a Dark Scienceer in a black empire that sought to consume all. He was happy for it meant he could learn more. He was given a new name for his dark heart "Obsidous" and served faithfully. He worked for Her Dark Majesty for Millennia until he was promoted to a Dark General and waged war after war in the name of Her Dark Majesty and of course...knowledge by any means. It would come to pass, eventually, that he'd be sent to a little world called "Earth" which had proven in some way to be quite difficult to overtake. The other forces with their eyes on it, and the Earth's defenders...Magical Warriors had done well to beat them back. This interested Obsidous and so he went looking to add this planet and its curious people to the ever expanding reach of the deep astral darkness he served. Prime Disguise Name: Anji Hayashi Prime Disguise Age: 30 Prime Disguise Species: Human (False Magical Knight?) Prime Disguise Title: The Wandering Eye Prime Disguise Height: 6'2" Prime Disguise Eyecolor: Orange Disguise Personality: A smart, somewhat aloof, but good man. He's a penchant for theatrics but its all in good fun. He's a good man with a desire to protect people in need. He is easy to approach however, someone with open arms for any and all. They are all, in his eyes, equal after all. His caring nature often drives him to keep an eye on people even when not welcome but he's always willing to lend a hand before a request can be uttered. He's very knowledgeable and always looking for more leading him into dangerous situations, or doing things he shouldn't in order to obtain yet more. He's just a simple man, with a curious mind and a kind heart. Abilities: Obsidous make use of various devices and experiments (Things like Torture Devices, Cloning, Idea Implanting, etc) for his ends but primarily makes use of a special type of creature that is telepathically and partially genetically connected to him. These creatures are special microfauna he modified with his leaders dark power that he can command from a distance to achieve various results from manipulation to even forming them into constructs to his ends. These creatures do respond to his emotions however so require focus and a decent state of mind. When disguised Obsidous, or rather, Anji makes use of the energy of another variant of these creatures that looks more like light or some manner of magical dust. These particular microfauna are more difficult to discern unless studied closely. The dark power they carry is the same but is more subdued so as not to give away the trick. He is able to have them unleash this power as dark-tinged electricity or "light", form them into energized and malleable weapons or defenses, have them spy for him, use them to fly, hack into technology, and for the truly unfortunate...potentially control someone's body or mind after implanting his creatures into them. The best use of them is that he keeps part of him emplaced in them allowing him to absorb them to gain information if he's placed them somewhere, use them to preform surgery on himself or others with complete precision, or in the event of his physical demise potentially survive through them.

  23. > Designation: Altered Incubeast No.690 > Infiltrator Name: Seru Okada > Time from Creation: [][][] > Infiltrator Age: 24 in Earth Time > Race: Alien (Collective) > Body Size: 2.286 Meters > Infiltrator Body Size: 1.8288 Meters > Eye Color: /NA/ > Infiltrator Eye Color: White [Note: Sexual Characteristics: Shifts between female with male sexual organs and entirely female.] Short Historical Report ---- : No.690, the final experiment of the traitorous Dark Scienceer Quiggin Zo, lost or abandoned on the Desert World of Preyatis some time after successful alteration. Initially resisted recovery in defense of the natives until defeated in battle by Vile Priestess Hyren and subsequent enslavement of the planet. It is unknown how No.690 survived, but upon recovering and finding the tribe they defended lost they would swear an oath to Her Great Darkness in exchange for revenge against Hyren. The request was granted and upon final rendering of this revenge No.690 was transferred to the authority of Dark General Obsidous. No.690 has served in the army of Dark General Obsidous quite "loyally" since, moving from plane to planet and serving as one of the Empires greatest Imperiabeasts as more planets were added to Her Great Darkness's ever-expanding empire. Though No.690 has displayed a troublesome will to disobey orders especially in regards to the notion of 'honor', they have served and proven instrumental in sabotage and battle. They remained with Dark General Obsidous as they were given the target of [Earth] where numerous attempts at taking over the planet have been foiled by the "Magical Heroes" and placed as an infiltrator in a bid to study and hopefully one day find a way to break these defenders. No.690 has taken the identity of Seru Okada in their day to day, a teacher who also offers service as a private tutor while the General continues their attempts. It has taken longer than desired but efforts continue. Personality Report ---: No.690 can be defined as "honorable" enjoying the thrill of battle and often respecting strong and worthwhile enemies. This isn't to say No.690 doesn't also enjoy tricking, manipulating, and toying with their prey as well but rather peace and war is a sort of...game to No.690. No.690 is rather affable outside of battle taking great pleasure in observing, speaking with, and even occasionally helping those she has yet to identify as an enemy or...creatures of great interest. No.690 is a brilliant individual, but apart from the notion of honor she learned from the former tribe she is also completely amoral. There is, oddly, a strange and so far incurable sadness to No.690 supposedly stemming from a lack of sense of self. The nature of No.690s existence and abilities making it difficult to maintain the sense of an individual which, at times, appears to be crushing for the organism. This translates over to its disguise however Seru Okada has a greater sense of justice and understanding. Seru appears to care much more, going out of her way to protect and aid the people around her. It does appear hat these two personalities can get get mixed up resulting in a lost individual unsure of themselves, or acting in ways different than intended. Ability report---: No.690 is a creature capable of manipulating their own body to an utmost degree. This is done, usually, in order to shapeshift, manifest tentacles and tendrils, shrink, grow, and even accelerate healing though this can take time depending on severity. They are extraordinary difficult to kill though ordinary means as they are not simply one organism though they do act as one. The strangeness of No.690 has made it difficult to classify precisely between a collective, Holobiont, or Superorganism. The adaptive ability of No.690 is documented to high limits in terms of physical changes and in the event that it has found something that it lacks has shown the ability to assimilate other creatures (especially other aliens) to "learn" the adaption it may need so long as it is physical. It is only, for various unknown reasons, only able to fully assimilate dead matter though absorbing fluids from others does confer certain benefits like temporary shared memory. This also aids in healing and allows No.690 to mimic various biological functions like stingers, wings, and even senses. Essentially No.690 has been designed for a an incredible degree of self-supremacy, form control, and variability. It can do this to others in limited function as well but is more easily resisted by living beings. No.690 has shown to not be fond of extreme temperatures.

  24. "World would be more peaceful if they were I'm sure." Rie could recognize, clearly, that Jumi was about the only person Mitsuko wanted to be around right then. Rie just watched her walk off, scratching at her cheek until she was out of the room "Ah....." she hummed a little looking to Jumi "She hates me. Haven't made an impression that bad since mom tried to set me up for that marriage interview. Er, the fourth one." hate probably wasn't the right word but Rie's tendency to by hyperbolic was just another aspect of her jokes usually. She hummed and tapped her foot on the ground. Rie had no intention of being anything but herself really but it was clear her relationship with Mitsuko was going to be....strange for the time being. Rie did recognize her fault in it of course especially with how she reacted to Mitsuko's statement of course, but this definitely wasn't an easy first run. Rie was still sure Mitsuko was going to be a great addition to the team but she'd also leave the bath too turning off her transformation before she stepped out of the door so she was just her normal human self though. She was tempted to follow them around if only not to leave this encounter of such a negative note but she was sure there were things Mitsuko wanted to explore with just Jumi as her guide and not the wrecking ball of a nurse around. She would simply wave three fingers "I'm gonna go change and then maybe wrestle with a few otaku for a limited edition figure I know is being sold here." she said "I'll see you later! And if not...I got arrested probably." looking in the direction Mitsuko went before she ran off to her room. She'd likely see them soon but a bit of time was fine right?
