  1. Sounds neat! I think then maybe I would be most interested in the 1880's steampunk/fantasy one then.
  2. I don't mind waiting. Evi will chill until Gardsom returns.
  3. I've never tried Cortex but I am up for trying new systems! I wouldn't mind either setting. The first would definitely give more character variety options I think, which I prefer, but the espionage one is definitely not one that has been done much.
  4. This must be why they call this sort of thing 'hot'. I am feeling unusually warm right now! While her flustered expression was turned away out of some meagre attempt at granting the two some level of privacy Selene's purple orbs occasionally stole glances, only long enough to burn the image within her mind. That said, she was not very good at concealing it. In such a state she was probably not very good at a lot of things! Affection was still an untamed beast for her to conquer, even if it wasn't being applied directly to her, and it was certainly more potent when utilized so suddenly! Oh gosh! Moaning!? How far will they go? I should definitely leave! Right? A hint of calm splashed upon her burning mind when Dylan finally broke the kiss to utter words. Of course they were the sort of words generally spoken in a more private setting, but it did at least mean that they weren't so thoroughly focused on making out. It was a welcomed reprieve for everyone, she imagined. At least this is what she tried to make herself belive. The alternative would have been to admit to herself that she was enjoying the show, and there was no way that she was going to do that! She wasn't perveted, after all! Dylan is right. She is really pretty. It was not a simple one way crush. Robin held feelings for Dylan! Or at the very least a desire to kiss them. When Robin's gaze traveled to her direction a sudden visible shiver of worried surprise ran up along her entire body, as though she had been caught doing something she was not supposed to! Both hands lifted in front of her face, waving softly. "N-no need to stop on my account!" she blurted out, only to notice a moment later that she had said the wrong thing. "I m-mean, I don't mind! I can turn away!" Without waiting for a reply the little witch did just that! With her back to the two it became considerably more difficult to observe them. That was a shame, but probably the right thing to do. Not as right as simply leaving the room, of course, however part of her was keeping her glued in place. She wasn't waiting for anything spicier. No, she was just here in case she was needed! That, she imagined, was a good enough excuse for herself. Are you? Huh? In love!? No, right? Something confusing. Is Dylan just horny? Or is it something more than that!? This is almost as good as a novel!
  5. Huh? There was a sudden vigor in Dylan's movements. Selene hurried her own pace in order to keep up. Perhaps they were sick? Or in need of more medical care than they had realized? Maybe there was something important that they just had to get out! Or perhaps- Derek!? A quick glance over her shoulder thankfully did not give way to the view of an angry home owner stomping in their direction. Any momentary worries over being thrown out she might have had were briefly squashed, replaced instead by curiosity and a concern for Dylan's well being. It was bad enough that Dylan had pushed their way into a room, yet another somehow occupied by people. A surprise tug against her arm pulled her right along inside. Purple orbs filled for a moment with even greater concern when Dylan barked orders towards the two occupants. It was sharp enough to cause her to flinch slightly. It must be important! Or maybe they really are hurt!? As the couple hurried their way past Selene offered a couple of quick apologetic bows of her head. The door was closed behind them and, hoping to assist with whatever was happening, Selene clicked the knob's lock. They didn't need what just happened to happen to them! With a silent nod of approval at her own work the witch turned to face the others. "Is everything-" Bwuh!? Heat flashed across her cheeks at the sight of Dylan and Robin, the two having decided to suddenly engage in the sort of thing that almost begged for locked doors! It wasn't just a kiss either. The witch's gaze traveled across the two, burning the image within her mind. Locked lips. Hands squeezing against delicate areas, taking control, and others gripping against furniture for support. Bodies pressed together. Lewd sounds muffled between flesh! "O-oh." While her left hand gripped closed the stained silken robes her right rose to fan at her face. "Oh gosh" Selene whispered, voice barely audible in an effort not to disturb the fiery hot scene laid out before her. It took almost half a minute for her to finally peel her gaze away, casting it instead towards a different corner of the room. It felt rude to watch, like she had been accidentally dragged into something she shouldn't have been involved with. Wait. Why am I here? This is! This should be private, right!? Or maybe they just need to get this out of their system? Was there something else? I don't want to watch this! Despite what she told herself Selene couldn't help sneaking glances. The hand which had held her robes closed instead brushed against her fanning arm. She was a bit nervous, sure, but there were other feelings too! Feelings she rarely explored. She decided that it was good that she had spilled her drink. Finishing it might have resulted in her making some very different decisions in the moment! I should wait. Right? Or? Oh gosh. They are really getting into it!
  6. Very spicy. How Selene reacts will definitely depend on how Robin reacts. But it's probably going to be embarassment and timidity and possibly fleeing.
  7. Things are starting to get quite steamy suddenly!
  8. It'll be fun to see stuff expand out beyond the nightclub.
  9. Helped? You did most of the work! Selene couldn't hide the little bashful smile that crept up across her lips. Perhaps she did more than she allowed herself to take credit for, but Dylan still did the most important work. He deserved the credit. Also she still did feel guilty. What if Charlotte was right? Had Selene betrayed her trust? If anything she figured that Charlotte would have wanted to protect her family, that she might have been somewhat forced into assisting the others, but she had apparently been incorrect in her assumption. It didn't feel right leaving things as they were with her. I'll make it up to her. I will! Eventually! "A video. Of you. And, um, well" she began, only to pause herself. Being too blatant could get rumors started, right? "In a car" she began, leaning in closer to whisper at a level that at least could hopefully be heard. "Kissing." When Dylan's hand brushed over her thin robe Selene was reminded of the slight stickiness of the fruity drink which had been splattered all over her front. She really wanted to wash it off. They were venturing inside. Perhaps within she could find somewhere to do that, or depart briefly from the others once they were somewhere more secure. A quick dip in the pool would help. Or a shower. Would Derek mind? Dare I ask? Her gaze followed the nod of Dylan's head, only to immediately snap towards the back entrance to the house. He looked pissed. Perhaps avoiding him would be for the best. Approaching him might get her immediately thrown from the party. A sense of relief washed over her once they had entered the home. The music had been dulled. Derek probably wouldn't follow them in. Now they just had to find a quiet spot! Preferably a bathroom with bandages. And so with a new objective in mind Selene made her way over to the closest door on the right and grasped at the handle, slowly turning it in an effort to first check if it was locked, and then to avoid disturbing anyone who might lay within! Oh! Her first choice had been a small guest bedroom. A clean room, somewhat sparsely decorated and leaning heavily on mahogony furniture and trim for its identity. Included were a small desk with chair, a cabinet, one closed door which she guessed might have been a closet, and a partially opened door which was obviously a bathroom. A display case showcased various trophies. Football appeared to be the focus of most of them. Most curiously however were the couple laying on the bed, currently curled up within one another's arms. They were making out, and thankfully that was all it was for the moment. Even so it was an invasion of privacy! Oh my! Caught watching for perhaps a moment too long, the two briefly stopped to look in her direction. Before a word could be uttered the witch squeaked out a "Sorry!" and closed the door. A hint of pink washed over her cheeks as she turned to the others. "Um. Occupied!"
  10. Ignored. She was used to that. Her plea to the twins had been completely shrugged off and despite the extra reach afforded to her by her hat Selene stood no chance in her attempt to stop the two. That said, it had not been the worst outcome for her either. Sure, the whip of their hair against her face had been a little disrespectful, if it had been on purpose, but that was far better than anything else they might have done. Fighting two people? Impossible! And these two were clearly good at both snooping and spreading nasty information about. Being ignored by them was probably for the best. Dylan did it! It was clear as day that Dylan's plan had succeeded! No video would be shown. It had only potentially cost her an outer garment and a chance at friendship. Also Dylan getting beat up, potentially even becoming a pariah. Had it even been worth it? She hoped so. Stopping the showing of that video was the right thing to do, even if it came at a cost. Friendless a little longer. Someday! Someday. Nobody had decided to throw her out of the party. That was a plus. But then people were very quick to move on from what had happened. All around them people were drinking and dancing and partying, perhaps even harder than they had been already. It wasn't like what she read in her novels, but then those typically focused on one or maybe two points of view, and typically in this sort of situation their party would end. It felt strange to see things simply continue as though nothing had happened, especially with Dylan's injuries and Charlotte's potential emotional trauma. Worse still, everything had been captured on so many phones. This wasn't just going to go away. It's not right. A hex for erasing videos. A hex for destroying electronic devices. A hex for rewinding time. Those might have worked here. She knew nothing of the sort. Selene could have stopped Charlotte, but with so many people watching them it would have been too risky. She felt guilty for not using it, for not protecting Dylan, especially when they had done so much to protect her, but guilt was something to deal with later. I need a hex for healing. The witch offered Robin a nod. Charlotte would not want to see her either. Possibly ever. She would apologize when possible, but now was not the time for it. Now was the time for assisting Dylan, for relocating somewhere quiet. Scooting around to the opposite side of Robin, Selene tried to assist with helping Dylan to their feet! She wasn't strong but she could at least do something with someone else's help. Or, rather, lend what little strength she held for someone else to do something! It wasn't as though Dylan had been completely knocked out either. Sure, they were a bit slow to get up, but they did so primarily with their own strength. A brief glance was cast in Robin's direction while Dylan spoke. She was dressed quite a bit different than she normally was. Nothing conservative. No, she was dressed in a way expected of those who attended this sort of party! The sort of attire one donned in order to catch the attention of others! Sexy attire, as it were! Not anything she would wear! I should take a dip in the pool. That should probably rinse this off, right? "I'm sorry Dylan. Um. T-thank you. For protecting me."
  11. Oh gosh! Gosh! Please stop! Selene recoiled slightly, cringing and wincing as a whirlwind of strikes was unleashed upon Dylan. Charlotte was terrifying! She wanted to jump in again, to put herself between them, to protect both of them from each other and from what might result from this very public fight. Alas, she was physically weak. At this point she doubted in her ability to wedge herself between them. Worse still: she was a coward. Please! Somebody stop this! There was a slight stumble in her step, a desperate attempt to escape from the two before they crashed into the DJ's booth. Charlotte's onslaught was too much, and soon everyone gathered paid witness to a truly vicious finisher, one which would have almost certainly left her weeping on the floor. Despite the excitement of those around her she managed to catch the hushed words of one of the twins. It was the sort of thing she had been concerned about, one of the reasons why she had tried to stop Charlotte initially: this sort of thing would look bad for her. It had not just been about protecting Robin, or Dylan. A fight like this rarely ended up looking good for either party. "S-she's just upset!" For a moment her attention turned towards the twins. A challenge, a perhaps feeble attempt to patch up this great misunderstanding, to repair Charlotte's image even perhaps at the risk of damaging her own. Of course Dylan was the one who really appeared to need help in the moment, but she didn't really know how to deal with that yet. Selene was doing her best on the fly. Unfortunately this wasn't really her forte. When Dylan finally spoke up Selene's gaze snapped back over towards the two combatants. Their words had managed to somehow halt the attack. If there was any moment to interject then now would have been that moment! She took a step towards them, only to stop when Charlotte spoke. When the girl's gaze set briefly upon her Selene could only lower her own in shame, shoulders lifting slightly in a defensive reaction. I'm sorry. Lips mouthed her thoughts, only to be interrupted by the voice of someone familiar, the voice of the person who had set her entire plot into motion in the first place! Robin!? Oh thank goodness! Her attention snapped over towards Robin, just as everyone else's had. With the most frightening person having departed Selene made her way over to Dylan's side. Robin was already assisting them. The little witch would only get in the way. Mess something else up. She was about to answer Robin's question when the DJ's mic blared up behind her, instantly drowning out whatever words were about to leave her lips. With booming music following the announcement Selene was forced to move closer and crouch down, speaking up loud enough to hopefully be heard over the tunes. "There was a video" she explained, pausing to glance between Robin and Velvet with a look which hopefully conveyed what said video might have been about. She didn't really want to say it out loud. "M-maybe somewhere quieter?" she asked, glancing then to Dylan, and then finally to where Charlotte had been. "I can help Dylan if you want to go after her. O-or should we leave her be?"
  12. I'll make a reply tomorrow if Velvet hasn't by then!
  13. Sounds good! I'll hold off then and at least let Velvet get a reply in first!
  14. I don't mind waiting for Velvet and Robin to get in on things. As for Selene I'm trying to decide exactly what she might do in this situation. I suppose if she tries to intervene and put herself into things it would be counted as Shut Down? But then I wonder who it would target.
  15. If I weren't a professional I'd probably get wet thinking about what could happen in the moment here. But I am a professional. Even professionals could get aroused, she figured. That was the only excuse for her own current arousal, enough that it gave the thin curve of her mound only the faintest pink flustering and only a miniscule hint of moisture. Her face was only heated from embarrassment. It wasn't the thoughts of what they could be doing in the moment, of what Dalton might have done had he lacked willpower. He was also a professional, after all. Professionals didn't fumble into those sorts of traps! "A public figure" she whispered, pondering out loud who the woman might actually be. If they were recognizable then that could be very important. Just as important as her target's next moves. He had pulled out a stack of papers and a small box. A proposal of some sort seemed unlikely. Both wore wedding rings, and this was not the sort of place that somebody proposed at. Not anyone sane, anyhow. "He has pulled out papers and a flash drive." The hints of red across her face lessened into a faint pink tinge. Ears perked up and tail settled atop Dalton's head, lightly tapping against it in thought. "This feels off. I don't think he is here to cheat on his wife." One didn't bring papers or a flash drive to cheat. Condoms? Usually. Pills? A viable alternative, or a mood setter, or a penis stiffener. Nobody brings homework or divorce papers or legal documents of any sort to a fling. A flash drive could be useful but only if it were in a camera or some other thing to record the rendezvous. "This is a drop of some sort. Or something else. Not what I was hired to capture, although I am curious." No, something like this would cost a whole lot more. There was a far greater element of risk. Jade orbs left her target, darting for a moment at her surroundings. Were others here watching the same couple? Watching her? "Do we stick with the plan?"
  16. More private spaces? Is he insinuating that we are going to end up going further? Someone is confident, isn't he? She didn't deny it, not audibly nor within her mind. If she was feeling up to it such a thing could happen! She was an adult and could make her own decisions! Heck, maybe she'd get into the mood! Decide that now was the time to give it a try! Or maybe she'd remain completely professional and leave this place with most of her dignity intact. Evi did her very best to convince herself that such a choice was already made. Ears perked up and red plastered across her face as Dalton suddenly pulled her into a hug! Her heart hammered away within her chest. She could feel his heat, feel his body pressed against her own, pants already partially removed. In the moment her eyes widened, only to narrow again when her partner in totally legitimate business told her to get into position, as though she hadn't already been attempting to do just that! Even so the news was good. Her target was meeting a woman and Dalton had spotted this first. His mistep could be ignored. "Good." With red still blazing across her cheeks Evi settled into the proper position against the couch. She kept Julius and his new friend within her periphery. Her body twitched when hands grasped against her smooth thighs. When she felt his head brush against her crotch a hushed "Nya!" escaped from the feline, ears folding back and rump raising just enough to break away the contact. Careful back there! Feck! This is going to be tough! Given their close proximity and her excellent ears Evi could hear the apology. It was enough to avoid any scolding in the moment. "I-it's fne. Do what you need to do." I should record this. Who knows how well I'll be able to pay attention. A faint clicking noise within her head activated the camera. She could not hear the targets but she could at least try to make out the words leaving their lips. It was a good distraction at the very least. She was focusing on not settling herself down upon Dalton's face. Ignoring the growing heat between her loins. "Familiar? How so?"
  17. Oof! A sudden powerful shove interrupted all thoughts. It had enough power to send the petite witch stumbling backwards over her own feet and, unfortunately, into the legs of some poor boy. Chill suddenly washed over her chest, the drink spilled and soaking both the thin silken robe along with the swimsuit worn beneath. Neither were white thankfully enough, and even if they had been the drink most certainly discovered whatever she had worn. That however was not on her mind. She lay there for a moment, dazed while her now emptied cup was tossed aside. On instinct her free hand lifted and pressed atop her head, first making sure that her hat remained on and then taking a moment to adjust it. Force of habit. Her chest hurt a little bit, as did her rump and the back of her head. What hurt most were Charlotte's words. "I didn't-" she began, trying to get a word in, only to wince and find any retort cut down by the girl's insult. I didn't mean to betray you! At that moment she wanted to sink away into the ground and simply return home. To throw herself into a good book. Legs pulled in close to her body and hands gripped at the brim of her hat, pulling it down slightly to conceal her face or, rather, to conceal the world from her vision. She felt the sting of tears forming, however these she managed to blink away. I should not have come here. This is not my world. Dylan's even sharper words prompted the small woman to release her grip upon her hat, gaze snapping upwards just in time to spot them in their initial engagement against Charlotte. With haste she pushed herself to her feet, however once she had Selene hesitated to move in towards the two. Everything she had done had only ended in failure. What could she even do now? "Don't!" Is this all I can do?
  18. I suppose she would try to talk sense. She isn't trying to physically attack, just place herself between Charlotte and Dylan. I'll go ahead and roll and add onto my post the result and such!
  19. Truth be told I don't know exactly what to roll for an attempt to body block Charlotte.
  20. Drugs. Have to be careful with that! I probably shouldn't try them, right? In her novels they had been the bane for many a character. Drugs often led down a dark path of despair, one which generally ended in disaster! That said they could also create unexpected avenues forwards towards friendships or other valuable opportunities! Some were also less dangerous than others. Ecstacy was supposed to be one of the less dangerous ones. Potentially addictive, like any drug, but not something that was going to leave permanent damage. Not on its own, anyway. Even so. . . If I get offered some will I be able to say no? It would be weird to say no, right? Bad? Heck, I just have to hope nobody offers. That would make things easier! Dylan was dancing. Was she supposed to dance too? It would let her fit in a little better, right? She didn't know how to dance, but she had seen some videos. There were easy ones that she was confident in pulling off. Shoulders gently lifted and lowered, right and then left. Hips followed the same rhythm, gently popping to the side of each raised shoulder. A sort of wiggle dance. Hopefully enough to fit in without distracting anyone, or pulling attention to herself. She just had to try her best to keep the rhythm going with whatever music was playing in the background. It did at least show off her hips a little better. Those were perhaps one of her better assets! A slight shiver ran along her spine at Dylan's continued words. Antagonizing Charlotte was definitely not any part of her plan! Threats only worked if one was prepared to carry them out. Was Dylan actually bluffing here? She hoped so! Violence was generally not the answer! Dylan might be a little scarier than I thought. But he seems to have a plan too. Bribe with drugs. That might work, right? Her gaze shifted towards Charlotte. She appeared to be caught in a predicament. Unlike the witch however Robin's definitely sister was not meek. She was aggressive. Knew what she wanted and was willing to take the initiative to achieve it! Someone for her to look up to, really. However what was about to happen appeared to be steeped in violence, or at least on the path towards it. Perhaps she was awkward when it came to engaging others, but Selene had spent her life watching people. This was pretty obvious. Uh oh! Um! Dangit! She tried to hurry, to close the gap towards Charlotte without spilling her drink. Thankfully it wasn't completely topped off anymore. One hand clasped over the top, acting as best a lid as possible. The other secured its grip around the cup, pulling it close to her chest. Her plan was one intended to cause the least amount of damage to Charlotte, all while protecting Dylan and their plot. She would attempt to place herself in the girl's path, to act as a road block. Hopefully it wouldn't come down to anything painful, but if getting herself knocked over protected Dylan from getting into a fight or Charlotte from getting hurt by Dylan, well, that was acceptable to her! "W-wait!" she spoke, somewhat hushed but moreso hurried. "You don't want to do that!"
  21. Dylan gonna spook the witch.
  22. It turned out that Selene had misread things. She often did, unfortunately. A sudden impact against her shoulder caused Selene to wince, both from the shock of the strike and a little bit from the pain. More than that, she felt wrong in the moment for wanting to help Robin. Charlotte had other plans, it appeared. She actually wanted to put Robin's video up! Oh. Spilled. Some of the punch had overspilled onto her hand. She might have worried more about that however at the moment there were more pressing matters. Now Charlotte was upset at her! Also just as pressing: her plan to help Robin might have just suffered a major setback. If Selene went and turned to the twins then not only would she be unable to stop them, but she would also gain a major hurdle in her quest to make friends! Heck, she might even be thrown from the party! Thankfully she had chosen correctly to confide in Dylan. He was on board with her idea of assisting Robin! Also he had a handful of something called 'X'. Was he referring to ecstasy? That was a nickname for it, wasn't it? Focus! Suddenly Dylan slid up real close to Charlotte and started to lead her off towards the DJ! The girl however resisted Dylan's charms, breaking away and speaking up to reveal her own goals. She wanted Robin to suffer. She just wants to make friends. I guess I can understand that, but at the cost of somebody else? Family, even? Without thinking about it Selene raised her cup to her lips, sipping, wincing for a moment until the drink became bearable. A nervous inclination of hers'. Cover her mouth with something. She didn't need to speak then, especially not if she was drinking. It offered her a moment of respite, a moment to think of what to say. "Apologies. I just thought you would want to protect her" she finally spoke, voice soft and words chosen carefully. "I guess I get it. I think." Although in this instance I don't really agree with it! What should I do? Her attention turned to Dylan mostly. He was the one with a plan now. She too was curious as to what they might do, and so Selene scooted a bit closer as well, anticipating hushed words!
  23. I mean him going for Charlotte is fine with me! I don't think Selene could do much about that. At least he doesn't want Selene!
  24. On one hand things did not go precisely how she'd hoped. In a better timeline the twins might have handed her the phone and instructed her to bring it over. If that had happened then she could have simply deleted the footage by 'mistake'. What she managed instead was a delaying action and a harder path forward. She knew that she could play to the ego of others. The poor little awkward witch made to be the pawn to the trickster sisters. Instead of the two approaching the DJ to set things up she could get the two to send her instead. It gave her time to plan further and an opportunity to focus her efforts on the other half of the equation. For a moment she straightened her posture, offering a solid nod to the two girls. It wasn't just an affirmation of her duties. It was hurried, still a bit meek, and hopefully gave the impression that she was following their orders and not the suggestion that she had made. Perhaps it would let her get into their good graces later. At the very least it might make them lower their guard enough that her plan might possibly succeed! Right! Okay! This might work? Charlotte would be sent with her. A hiccup in the plan that was still only just forming. Would Charlotte be willing to harm her totally cousin and not sibling's image in order to further her own standing? Or would she look out for family? Selene didn't know her well enough to make a determination, but there had been hints that maybe the girl didn't fully agree with what was going to happen. A risk it is! Turning away Selene started to make her way towards the DJ. She moved slow and glanced towards her companion, lips parting to speak only for another voice to catch her attention. Orbs widened for a moment as she halted and turned her gaze towards Dylan. A genuine smile was offered, as was a brief wave of one hand. "Hello Dylan!" Do I involve them? I don't want to get them into trouble. Eyes lowered towards her drink. A hangover could be avoided if she could avoid finishing it. Avoid getting drunk. One full cup would probably put her into at least a tipsy state. She didn't have enough experience with alcohol to know exactly how much it'd take for a proper hangover in the morning, let alone her getting drunk enough to do something crazy. "Um. Maybe? I don't know. Charlotte gave me this" she stated, turning towards the girl, still smiling. "It isn't bad but I don't really drink much." Ah heck. It can't make things worse, right? I think Dylan is fine! Leaning in a litle closer Selene decided to pull them in on her plan. "Actually we were headed over to the DJ's booth" she stated, keeping her voice as quieted as she could given all the music. "There is a, um, compromising video of Robin that is going to be played." Her gaze shifted then towards Charlotte. She had asked for a plan, after all. "I was hoping to maybe get the DJ to refuse to play it. It would be kind of mean to show that to everyone, right?" That wasn't really much of a plan. She knew that. Still, she was doing her best to come up with something on the fly! It was also important to rope Charlotte in on their side. Putting her into a position to get involved, while risky, had a chance of increasing the odds that she might join them! "I don't know exactly how I'm going to do that. I guess I can try speaking with him? Unless either of you have a good idea?"
  25. A brief cutting laugh, something within her mind closer to a hyena's chuckle, cut to Selene's core like a lashing whip. She tried to avoid speaking up. This was the reason for it. Still, it wasn't as harsh as what she was used to. Nobody was berating her yet. Things hadn't gotten out of hand and she could still make some sort of gain here. The look shot her way wasn't new either, although she tried to take it as a compliment. Immortality was, after all, something that most witches dreamt about! She had tried to recite a spell for it in the past. Was it possible that she had secretly succeeded? Probably not, but it was better to use that as an excuse, if only to preserve her image within her own mind. Lips parted briefly. She barely restrained herself from muttering 'Facebook' in a way that would make it seem as though she didn't know about it. In fact she did know of it! Did she use it herself? No. Had she tried in the past? Also no, but she had come close! But then she'd seen other people who did have it and didn't successfully make friends through the program. They seemed sad and the strange site appeared to lure them into doing things that they might normally not, all for the sake of chasing new friend requests! It had been bad enough to convince Selene that a Demon might have created it. She wasn't about to take a risk on that. "I guess" she ended up saying instead, voice low but above a whisper, something which took her at least a little effort. Snapchat was, however, not something she was fully familiar with. If she had to guess then it was a more recent iteration of the same sort of thing. Thankfully there would be no attempts to press Selene on either of the sites. Charlotte was taking most of the attention, something for which Selene was definitely grateful! Suddenly a drink was pushed into her hands, breaking the small woman out from her brief spell of thoughts! Lids flickered as her gaze lowered. There was a sweet smell, something fruity but also clearly alcoholic. A dangerous substance for her. She did not have much of a tolerance for this sort of thing. Weirdo. Fingers briefly tightened their grip around the cup, crinkling it ever so slightly, nearly risking a spillover of its contents. That word bit hard. She feared it. It had been the bane of her relations with others, or rather lack of relations. But Charlotte wasn't just using it to insult her. It was a warning. With a quick albeit timid nod Selene pulled the cup to her lips and took a long swig. Eyes clenched shut as she resisted the burning sensation, and by the time it was lowered again a third of the drink had been consumed. She could feel the heat within her chest, heat which rose up her neck and flowed into her cheeks, leaving behint a faint though constant pink fluster. A dangerous gambit perhaps but she dare not risk refusing it. Another nod was offered towards the girl, followed by her whispered response. "Sorry." She nearly jumped when Samantha clapped and shot to her feet! Like the others she followed the girl's gaze, expression wincing into a frown when the realization of what was going to happen hit her. It didn't matter whether Robin had a Facebook or not. If she visited the party as she said she would then there would be no missing that. Oh. This isn't going to be good. Eyes darted about, exploring the party around her. She needed to figure out a way to stop this. Or, if she were lucky, to find Robin and warn her! An idea did start to form within her mind, although the chances of success were slim, especially given the fact that she would just be winging things.
