Eyes lingered upon her form. For some reason this made Miu feel funny, although she could not tell why, or what exactly the feeling even was. The swaying of her tail slowed. Fingers squeezed against the tender flesh of her thighs. A slight squirm emerged, body wiggling and legs briefly pressed together, almost completing the little gap within her thighs formed just beneath her crotch. Miu is confused. Finally Ayer's lower garments were dropped to the floor, the true form of the bulge finally revealed to the curious wolf. It was a thick hunk of flesh which appeared hard, yet somehow also soft in ways. Not too long. The echo of a memory pinged within the back of her mind, the feeling of what this thing might have been used for. It went inside something. Probably. Somewhere. Someone? Miu feels warm. A thought crossed her mind. Would it even fit within her, if that were where it was supposed to go? She was pretty small. Slim overall. But she also knew that she was flexible. Something told her this within her mind. That idea felt right to her. Did that mean she could accomodate it? But then why would she even want to? Or need to? There was the idea of testing her curiosity, but she wondered how it might feel. Surely it would hurt, right? What Miu wasn't was scared. Her tail picked up its pace once more. With at least some of her curiosity satisfied the little wolf managed a smile and approached her bathing partner. Once she reached Jason she came to a stop, hips wiggling from side just a little as they were pulled along by the tugs of her excited fluffy appendage. Crimson orbs glanced over towards the bathing room, and then up towards the man. Now what?
-
A smile. That was a good sign! The man was not upset, nor did he appear to hold any intentions towards forcing her out. Miu's guess had been correct! In fact Jason merely continued to undress, pulling away his top garment and in doing so exposed his bare torso. Surprisingly the man was a lot fuzzier than what she had been expecting. It felt a little normal to her, probably something from her old life which had clicked with her current situation. She was not uncomfortable with it, although so far everyone she had seen, including what she felt on her own body, suggested that this was uncommon. They did however appear to share something in common: both were scarred. Maybe all were hurt? Others hidden. It was something to think about later. For now she decided to fully embrace the idea of sharing a bath. Hands gripped at the bottom hem of her tunic, pulling the garment up and over her head, necklace and all, before tossing it aside in a heap. Most of her body was left on display. She was pale all over save for the occasional darker mark presented by her scars. Scars weren't only present on her arms or legs or left cheek. Others, varying sized criss cross shaped marks, were dotted across her slim frame. The largest covered a fair portion of her right side, settled neatly against her hip. Another difference in skin color lay with her nipples. They were a soft pink, nearly blending in with the rest of her skin, each set upon a faint lump that were her breasts. At the most they might have filled the inner palm of a normal adult hand. If there were any curves to be found upon her body then these were set within her hips, which were a bit wider, and her nicely rounded albeit more or less normal sized rump. Together with her overall petite build there existed a slight gap between her thighs, which were a bit more well developed than her arms, suggesting a greater muscle density in her lower limbs. Miu's gaze lowered, curious as to what she was wearing beneath the tunic. There was of course still the loin cloth, although that wasn't to be for very long. Claws carefully tugged at one string which held up the sand colored loin cloth, dropping it to the floor at her feet. Beyond the thick mane of hair, her brows, and the fur of her tail and ears Miu was seemingly devoid of any hair. The faint curved dip of her sex answered any doubts as to whether or not she was a woman. Even she had wondered what exactly she might find, and when her crimson gaze lowered to look over her own nude form the wolf offered a single nod of approval. Feels right. There was no attempt to conceal herself. Completely undressed, Miu's full attention lifted towards Jason, who she now observed with growing curiosity. Hands brushed against her outer thighs, claws gently playing against near porcelain skin while a messy fluffy tail softly wagged behind her.
-
There was a certain feeling which gnawed at the back of the wolf's mind, something which emanated from Jason. He was angry? No, that wasn't it. It was a similar feeling though. Disappointed? Sort of. That felt closest, she decided. Not knowing what the thing was had disappointed the man. She was worried that he might perhaps throw her out from his home, to relax and leave her to pursue other things. Miu would not have been upset. It felt like that might be a normal reaction, at least for her. Ears perked up when Jason spoke. He desired time. Perhaps he had something that he needed to do? But then he spoke words which confused her too. Miu is sweet? He hasn't tasted Miu. Is Miu sweet? Miu is Miu's. Why does Jason say Miu is Jason's? While she was left confused her curiosity was also piqued, not only due to the man's words but also his briefly departing into one of the other rooms. The room of bathing. Perhaps he intended to bathe? Was she supposed to leave them? To give him time for that? An ear twitched and head tilted slightly to the other side as she heard the splashing of water. Most curiously, the man returned to her, and then he started to remove his clothes! Jason will bathe. No invitation arrived. Instead the man faced her while he undressed. Remained quiet. He did not attempt to do anything with her. Most fascinating was the sudden increase in the size of the man's pants, or rather an increase within a specific spot. It had not gone unnoticed, and for some reason she felt a hint warmer within her core upon noticing it. Miu bathe too? She could return to her home. Undress and bathe there. But the strange room fascinated her. She wondered how he bathed, if it was different, and also if he looked very much like she did without his clothes. It also felt more natural to do this sort of thing with others. Easier. More effcient. Perhaps even more exciting, or at least fun! Still, it was smart to test the waters. One at a time Miu slowly peeled away her gloves, revealing the slightly claw-like, sharpened fingertips. Her boots went next, revealing a similar situation with her toes. Not completely Human, but not completely animal either. Both were set aside, and then she waited to see the man's reaction.

Initially Evi answered with a slow nod of her head. He had acknowledged that he would ask her first. Ask before touching her. Not her tail, or her ears. No, just in general. It was harmless enough. She understood what he had meant. None of that was the problem. No, the problem arrived when the man decided to elaborate further. Ah? Oh. Wait. Huh? Heat from the alcohol burned not quite as brightly as the heat of embarrassment. She wanted to sip at her drink, to do anything which might conceal the thoughts blooming from the misunderstanding, but alas she had already polished it off. Now all she could do was focus her eyes downwards towards the counter as though it were the most interesting thing in the bar. The thought of being touched even more crept within the back of her mind. Stupid Cobalt Velvet. With an awkward silence nearly muffling the music of the club Dalton's focus shifted towards something else. In that moment Evi breathed a brief sigh of relief. Unfortunately his attention returned to her following her mention of giggling, prompting the cat to sit up just a bit straighter. The threat of another drink was dangerous. Would she even refuse it? Drinks aren't cheap. Except free ones. Her partner's attention returned to the sly bartender. Talk of business gave her a second wind, at least for a moment. There was the business that she wished to discuss! Sure, it could be interpreted as something risque, but that didn't matter. It was still something else to think about, something to look forward to, and most importantly something to focus upon! "You have enough charm" she offered. "But the business I intend to propose is not completely fitting with this sort of establishment. Sort of." Well, in this case maybe it is. But I don't need people thinking that! When Dalton started to make a teasing mockery of her question Evi sat up straight, tail swaying a bit more animated behind her in order to assist with keeping her posture upright and proper. Jade orbs set upon Dalton's gaze, locking in while she gathered the answers to her question. He was a man who sought out trouble. Amusingly it sounded like he would enjoy the sort of work she had planned, or rather the work she was currently in the process of conducting. Before she had a thought to consider things further the man shifted gears towards the true answer to her question. She was curious about what sort of person he favored. Audacious? Not me. I am curious, but I don't know about getting close. I guess if I have to? I'm graceful! I can have confidence! Wait why do I care? Eyes widened for a moment as her acquaintance leaned in closer, and for some reason unknown to her Evi's heart beat just a hint quicker. By the time he had finished his whispers her face was left beet red, head nodding slightly while the information sunk in. It had been the sort of information she was seeking. Evi had nobody to blame but herself. I don't really know what else I was expecting. Don't think that is me though. The wink prompted her gaze to shift away towards those out on the floor. She took the moment to scan the ever growing crowd. Her target was not yet present. She was still working. This wasn't just her indulging! "Sorry to disappoint you then, but I am not very much experienced with dancing. In either manner of speaking." She paused, considering the idea, and not so much the potential ramifications of her musing upon her thoughts out loud. "I am graceful. And flexible. My balance is very good. With practice I would be good. In either situation." Why did I say that? "I think you will enjoy my proposal." That's better, I think. -

An attempt to save my dignity. Honorable, I suppose. I'll forgive him. Again her features softened just a little bit as her drinking partner explained away his unexpected contact with her tail. Could it have been a lie? Perhaps. But she didn't have any evidence to prove otherwise. Besides, she knew full well the dangers that her fluffier bits created. People were curious, almost as much as she was. They enjoyed petting cute animals or, in her case, weird animal hybrids. "Next time ask for permission first." It was a joke. Sort of. If she had too much alcohol then she would be more likely to allow it. That in turn could lead to more things she had not expected to experience tonight. On the other hand it did feel nice to be pet, or really to experience any sort of physical shows of affection! A brief sideways glance was cast towards the bartender. Evi thought she had felt eyes upon her, and she was correct. Looking close enough one might have been able to spot just the slightest shift in brightness across her cheeks. Bartender Maray's grin was getting to her just a little bit. Her gaze returned to Dalton as she spoke without even realizing it. "Another drink and I might start giggling." The feline paused for a moment as the words left her lips. It was already affecting her. She was over sharing. That was even worse than simply indulging in her curiosities! To make matters worse another follow up question arrived which was just a little embarrassing to answer no matter which way she decided to do so. She was still lingering upon it when the bartender decided to speak up in their direction. Basset hound? Not going for the obvious joke. Impressive. Jade orbs blinked. Couple? Get down to business? The heat intensified across her face. Concealing it now was impossible. "I am simply efficient" Evi mumbled, returning her full attention towards Dalton. Looking at him allowed her to better retain what little shred of composure remained. Hoping to further escape from her embarrassment, Evi lifted her drink to her lips and finished it off with a long sip. It also gave her more time to consider the man's question. Unfortunately she didn't realize the error of her action until the emptied glass had clinked against the counter. Woops. Feck. "Not yet. Too sensitive. Also doesn't that imply that I be with someone? I've ne-" Evi stopped herself. She was talking too much. Revealing too much. Eyes closed for a moment while she recovered. Composed herself. Considered how to shift from the defensive and onto the offensive. After a few seconds her gaze was once more set upon her drinking buddy. "This is not your first time here. Is there a sort of person you most prefer pursuing?" -

Just gotta focus. I don't need to finish the rest right now. My point has been made. Take a bit to recover. Finish it if we move somewhere else. While her gaze was set upon Dalton her thoughts were elsewhere, as was her focus. He was there, but he was not the priority. No, the priority was to retain the same level of composure that she had entered with, to prove to everyone else that she was more or less unaffected by the drink! She couldn't do anything about the tell-tale flustering of her cheeks, save for taking time to let her body recover, but she could at least work on the other aspects of her tipsy state! For example: whenever she managed to get this level of drunk she often started to open up! Curiosity was easy to crush if she simply did not speak. Recover. Questions later. Don't get too clo- A shiver traced up her tail, along her spine, and up to the tips of her ears as a hand briefly grasped against the sensitive appendage behind her, and within that moment a hushed mewl of surprise slipped free from between her lips! Cheeks reddened, this time not a result of her drinking, and as her ears flattened back against her head Evi narrowed her gaze towards the man seated beside her. It was only after the hand had moved that her tail retaliated with a slap, only hitting empty air in the process. Contact might have been made had she not been slightly tipsy. Quite bold! But maybe he had reason for it. The thought was enough to calm her slightly, as was his apology. Pointing out her clearly flustered state, Evi pushed her gaze down towards the glass. Fingers held onto it, the remaining liquid within gently swirled about as she did whatever she possibly could in order to break eye contact, to seem unbothered by everything that was happening. It was a dangerous state that she was in. She needed to regain some control. "I am fine. I suppose I don't really tend to drink very much." Tipsy was better than embarrassment. It could hide it, to a point, but then she had been perhaps a bit too obvious. At the very least she could try to convince herself. Thankfully Dalton didn't appear to linger on her condition. Instead he changed to subject to something entirely unexpected. "I clean it every day. Thoroughly. Nothing harsh." I suppose it does feel nice, doesn't it? "It is a bit sensitive though." If one wasn't careful it could take a lot longer to get cleaned! Thankfully she was generally well composed, and it really wasn't an issue save for once or twice out of the year. -

Very dangerous. What have you gotten yourself into this time, Evi? It became very evident immediately that she was not used to drinking. Maray the bartender made that crystal clear. It was bad enough to earn Dalton some chastising. Thankfully she wasn't the only one being hit by alcohol. Another woman was actually worse off than she was, already slurring her words after what seemed to be one drink. If she finished her current drink and had a second the cat would undoubtedly be in the same state. I can handle it though. Just one drink. Ears perked up, as did her tail with a little shiver, when the warmth of Dalton's hand curled around one of her shoulders. This earned the man her focus, expression containing at least a hint of curiosity, albeit still primarily aloof. It settled into something lighter, more apathetic once the initial shock of contact had worn off. Dalton was trying to be nice in the moment, however his next words lit something of a fire beneath her. His offer to finish her drink was something of an insult. She might have been small, but she was not a child! "Hmm." Without missing a beat Evi brought the glass to her lips and took a much larger, longer swig. By the time the glass clinked against the countertop she had polished off all but a quarter of the drink! The small cat-like creature released a slightly ragged sigh, a venting of the burning heat which coated her throat, and perhaps an attempt to cool off the slight redness which had spread across her face. While her tail had straightened and twitched along the tip when she had taken her drink, it now slowly swayed about, now lacking some of its grace and occasionally it bumped into objects beside or behind her. "I can finish it" Evi mumbled softly, lids blinking a little slower than usual. Oh. Maybe that was a mistake. -

Calling someone an eel. Huh. Isn't that usually an insult? Truth be told she might have made the same joke if she were in a lighter mood. Also if said person wasn't a total stranger. It was a bold strategy, but perhaps he was a friend? Then it wouldn't be so bad, right? Oh. Not a friend. Quite bold. Some effort in the recovery too. Good try. It was amusing, watching the poor man fumble his attempts at being light hearted. Watching people mess up was always an amusing part of her job. She wasn't completely cold, of course. Sometimes Evi felt bad for them, at least not the worst ones, and Dalton definitely fit into that category. Still, it was funny none the less, and while her expression remained neutral her tail did offer a few giddy flicks. Jade orbs shifted over towards the bartender. Was the drink composed of something light and something hard? Or were they making her a lighter drink? Maybe they were making Dalton the lighter drink? Perhaps he had done this before, and it was all a part of his devious plot in order to get a poor girl drunk? It probably wouldn't matter much regardless. She understood that she was a light weight. Malice or not, either way she would need to be careful. That is an expensive drink. I wonder if he expects me to put out. Usually people do in this situation, right? As smooth as she could manage Evi pressed a hand upon one of the stools, hoisting herself up and onto it. For someone of her size it was never very cool looking, all she could manage to do was limit just how comedic the act appeared. A hand reached up to grasp upon her glass, pulling it closer for a sniff test. It had some sweetness, which she did enjoy, however it also smelled pretty strong. With a side eye'd glance she watched Dalton take a drink from his glass. Only after she confirmed that it wasn't poison, and after he had asked her if she had second thoughts, did she bring it to her own lips for a sip, gaze locking upon the man's. She wanted to wince at the burn, however she did manage to keep her expression neutral. At least the sweetness was nice. Her tail meanwhile whipped about for a few moments, only settling down once the heat hit her belly and crawled upwards across her face. By the time her glass returned to the counter a faint pink tinged her cheeks. "It is not bad." Very strong. Uh oh. -

A brow briefly arched as within the background a bartender cussed out one of the television sets. The day had just started. It didn't bode very well for anyone. A grumpy bartender could be dangerous. Thankfully the piece of rogue technology appeared to fix itself. An ear flicked as Dalton's voice rung a bit louder within her head. He had leaned in closer to speak, and this had drawn her away from the distraction. "Sometimes my tail has a mind of it's own." For the time being it appeared to remain lockstep in with her intended appearance. Behind her it remained down, swaying only slightly with the movement of her hips as she walked. In this way it helped to project a bit more confidence while simultaneously being readied to provide more balance should a situation desperately call for it. Not that she intended for that sort of trouble to arrive here, but it was always good to be prepared for it. As the two reached the bar Evi briefly took notice of the two who had arrived before them, the same two who had been spying on their conversation. Her attention was grabbed away almost immediately as the bartender addressed her with the same issue she'd been prepared to face at the club's opening. A hand reached into her pocket, whipping out the ID card she had readied, only to then be informed that it wasn't an issue. With a shrug the ID card was set back within her coat. Amusing. But I suppose that was part of why they tried to get rid of us, huh? When Dalton replied and mentioned the drinks Evi offered a single acknowledging nod in support of his comment. She need not really speak when she had someone perfectly capable of doing so for her! Why expend the extra energy, or open herself up to a deeper exploration of her identity? He was a good choice so far. -

Robin doesn't like parties? Selene didn't really know her all that well. Her sister would surely know her better. It was possible then that she might not even show up! How could she achieve her quest then? If anything she might have just made things much harder for herself. "Well she did say she would come" the witch replied, albeit with a hint less confidence than she'd intended. Gosh. I might need to keep an eye out for her here! But at least we can look around for her, right? As it turned out Charlotte had different plans. Instead of seeking out Robin she intended upon getting a drink! In a way she had even invited Selene to get a drink! People generally didn't do that! Before she could even wrap her head around the idea another name was also mentioned. Lizzie? Do I know a Lizzie? "Surprise?" Unfortunately it was now Charlotte who took the lead. The confidence and focus that Selene had built up vanished, and the small woman found herself quickly following along behind the one she had been tasked to locate! She kept close, gaze darting about when possible to keep an eye out for Robin, however most of her attention remained fixated upon Charlotte. Losing her now would have been unfortunate, after all! Dang it! Well, it should be okay still. Right? One drink is fine! Maybe I'll see Robin on the way?

Fluffy white ears lowered flat against Evi's head as she followed her new acquaintance into the brightly lit space. Here the music was louder and the bass thumped harder within her head. It would be a little uncomfortable, but she could deal with it. In fact it only took her a few seconds before her ears relaxed, returning to their normal upright position. Eyes darted about, taking in her new surroundings, and the soft clicking sounds of pictures being snapped within her skull were drowned out by the dance floor's beats. Not here either. Not yet. Evi kept close to Dalton, although now she had given him at least most of his personal bubble. Her approach had been stronger than she had intended. Besides, she had to be a little more careful now that they would be consuming alcohol. He had wished to drink, to enjoy themselves before any business. Her proposal had also been set incorrectly. What she had in mind was simple. Safe. Legal. Something he might even enjoy, perhaps something they could turn into a game. That might be the best way to handle it, actually. It wasn't anything too serious, but the way she had approached it definitely didn't help. Alas, she would now need to live with the consequences of her approach. A single drink. Perhaps chatting about their personal lives. She didn't know which she would rather avoid more. It'll be fine. === [OoC: Arriving from The Lounge!] -
Dalton's compliment went unanswered, even in the short woman's expression. Surviving was something everyone did. Well, most everyone. Some people took a quicker way out. It was understandable. Surviving was difficult. But did she really deserve praise for it? Besides, she had gotten off easier than most others in her situation. Her paranoia had resulted in a fluke, and that had prevented things from ending up worse. That and a pocket handgun. Hardly anything that deserved praise. She could be somewhat jarring at times. One moment seemingly aloof. Prim and proper. The next, as she was now, close. An invasion of one's personal bubble. Amusingly cat-like, she had to admit, even if doing so was somewhat embarrassing. Social rules were still difficult for her to grasp. Evi found that others generally mistook her social incompetence for aggressive strength, or at least mystery. It tended to work in her favor, although it had certainly gotten her into trouble more than once. Being a bully required one to at least be somewhat confident in their approach, and Evi generally wasn't. At Dalton's question Evi offered a single nod of her head. It was the only answer she really wanted to give at the moment, and perhaps it was the only one she needed. Their being non-artificial opened up a whole new line of questioning, but none of it was meant for as public a place as they were now. Both of them understood the danger of it. This, she at least knew, would lend a greater air of mystery to her being. Some people found that attractive, and in this instance it might assist her with her objectives. Well. At least he isn't pushing it. Evi had been called pretty before. She was a little more used to that compliment, however it did leave her cheeks just a hair pinker all the same. With any luck the faintly red environment would conceal that. Besides, what was really important was his response to her proposal. Smart. Understandable. "Very well." === [OoC: Moving us to The Main Bar and Dance Floor!]

Oh sorry. I don't mind if they interact with someone else as well! Shall I hold my next post? -
There it was again: concern. Concern for her well being. In fact it even felt a little genuine. It wasn't often that she experienced that sort of thing. Her profession was a lonely one and often required at least some level of paranoia. Mercenaries were always looking out first and foremost towards their own survival. Clients could betray her and sometimes retribution would only be had if she claimed it herself. So often one glimpsed into the darker side of other people that it became increasingly difficult to see the good. If nothing else it was refreshing. Did I luck out and find the one good, not seedy person in this place? Maybe tonight isn't going to be terrible. A foreign heat burned across her cheeks, only a hint but her naturally pale complextion made the pink stand out a little more than it might otherwise have. Cute? Innocent? Her gaze focused away from the man. Unconsciously she was attempting to conceal her slightly flustered expression. Most of her work did not require her to get close to other people. If it were just normal some bar or strip club she could easily get away with sitting alone in some corner. This place was different. Having someone who knew their way around here was useful enough to actually engage in conversation, if nothing else. But would it be worth it if she had to endure this sort of thing all night? "Right. Curiosity." Thankfully Dalton had gone quiet. From the corner of an eye she peered towards the man. He looked as though he had been focusing elsewhere. With any luck he hadn't noticed. She didn't take long to recover. Evi was courteous enough not to bring it up. "It wouldn't be the first time that somebody tried that. But you don't seem the type." She ran into those sorts of people in her profession. Actually she had a very close call once. It had been the closest she had come to actually getting intimate with anyone. Her concern with being a light weight had saved her. Dalton on the other hand was being too up front about things while giving her chances to distance herself. Predators often tried to keep themselves close. Eventually the two of them located a spot to sit. Music pulsed in the background, although it wasn't too loud. She had learned to tune out such things regardless. Dampen the noise. It was simple enough if she had something interesting to focus on. With drinks ordered Dalton's attention set upon her and in doing so prompted her to do the same to him. Legs settled together, hands neatly folded one atop the other within her lap. She sat up, posture straight and calm gaze locked upon the man's eyes. For the moment her tail remained still and folded up behind her. That makes sense. It only just opened. If my target walked in right now I would be really thrilled. Click. The recorder within her head started up once more as Dalton got around to speaking about himself. A student. Business school. Also a programmer. There she held some common ground. Evi frequently worked as a net diver. It coincided with her other work. Perhaps tonight she could walk away with an ally or, at the very least, a work acquaintance! It might be worth it to take a risk. Click. When Dalton had moved on to questioning her Evi allowed her jade orbs a few moments to drift across the room. It also gave her a moment to think. To consider her options and whether she might actually go through the somewhat crazy idea that she was formulating. Of course there would be an ulterior motive to it. If she could trust him with a little bit about herself then perhaps he might become more emboldened to join her. Besides, he wasn't her target. The small cat-like woman settled her hands out of her lap and against the smooth fabric of the couch. With a slight push she scooted over until one of her legs brushed against Dalton's. Now settled in nice and close her hands returned to her lap and her gaze lifted to meet with his. While her expression hadn't changed Dalton could feel her tail brushing up and down along his lower back, clearly far more excited than it had been a couple of minutes ago. She leaned up and inwards, speaking quietly enough not to be overheard easily, but at least loud enough to cut through the background noise. "They aren't cybernetics, if that is what you are wondering. The tail can be useful. It can also be a hinderance." A hand lifted and was set upon Dalton's right arm. "Truth be told, I am here on business tonight. I don't suppose you might wish to assist?"
-
Think I'll move Miu out of Ayer's room as they have not replied in EcchiTexts or here. Just have to decide where to go I suppose.
-
Fresh blood. I guess. She didn't let on that she had heard. Her attention was focused forward, gaze swiftly scanning her surroundings as she entered the lounge area. There were plenty of places to sit and multiple doors. Stairs led upwards. Nobody else had been lingering around before them. All appeared to be safe for the moment, and there did not appear to be any signs still of her prey. At least it meant that she could relax, if not at least a little bit. On the rocks. Ice. It was a kind gesture. She could definitely use the warning. This man usually only drank three before they were at risk of getting him drunk. Could she even handle one? It was worth a try. Besides, if she messed up here tonight then she could always come back again. Her job generally wasn't set to a strick time limit. If anything it meant that she could charge her client even more! "I am certain that I can handle at least one." Probably. Evi slowed slightly, gaze cast back over her shoulder and up towards the man. He had not intended upon sitting with her. Dalton had only been acting friendly. But sitting with someone else would appear less suspicious. Thankfully enough he didn't appear to be against the idea. With a slight nod her jade orbs returned forward. "I appreciate it. Worry not: I will not bleed you dry with drinks." Boring wasn't terrible. It meant she could more easily focus on her surroundings. And besides, people who claimed to be boring often had at least one or two interesting things about them. He didn't even really look very boring either. She had seen boring before. "I should be okay." Gunfire could be loud. She was used to that. Club music surely wouldn't be too terrible, right? "I am up for visiting whatever part you wish to visit."
-
Jade orbs darted about. She wasn't alone with this talkative stranger. There were others too. A bouncer who, thankfully, wasn't really checking ID cards. More snazzily dressed people. Others were chatting in the line, although not to her. Catching the attention of one person was bad enough. His back was also to her. She could freely observe the others as needed, although her target still did not appear to have arrived. This might help to blend in. Evi was a nice name. She agreed to that, even offering a single unseen nod in the affmirmative. Not that it had been the reason for choosing it, but even so! It had worked well enough thus far and she had grown comfortable enough with it that it had grown on her. The only meaning she could attribute to it though was with regards to her own creation. I wonder what meaning goes behind the name Dalton. Wandering eyes returned to focus upon the man as he answered her question. This person came to sit, watch, and drink. That was it? Perhaps this place was not nearly as seedy as the rumors made it out to be. A strip club or a bar with half naked women? That she could handle. She had plenty of experience with those places. Some sort of full blown orgy club? Did those even really exist? "I suppose that could be enjoyable. Maybe I will try the same." Cobalt Velvet was not a drink that she knew. Then again she didn't have much experience with alcohol. The first time she had tried it had been not long following her escape. That had been a somewhat frightening experience, a moment of vulnerability which she had thankfully managed to escape from unharmed. Besides it just felt unwise to drink while on the job. Usually she could get away with pretending if offered any sort of drink, or at least only enough sips that it didn't affect her too much. She was, as other people stated, a light weight. Good freaks? A brow arched as the line surged forward and the man in front of her spoke with one of the bouncers. Her features softened again however when Dalton looked back towards her. At the offer of letting her in first the short feline returned a slight smile and an appreciative nod, stepping quickly ahead so as not to hold up the line. Maybe he did it out of kindness. Or maybe he just wanted a view of her back. The coat would limit that, although the flickering of her tail might offer at least some amusement . Either way he seemed nice enough. Hanging out with him might provide for some good cover. "Where to?"

Living on the run heightened one's situation awareness. There was an unnatural feeling of being watched which tended to grow louder within one's mind when someone was actually watching. She couldn't explain how, or why. It was particularly easy to figure out who the culprit was on this occasion, given they were located straight ahead of her, although she didn't really catch them until their gaze was already being fixed forward. Mentally she shrugged it off. They might have heard her coming. Grew curious. Audio implants were popular enough, and she wasn't really trying to be quiet. That would make her stand out more. Mods? White ears twitched and straightened up. Her tail swatted at the air. She took a few steps forward in order to keep up with the moving line, now finally beginning to crawl towards the door. Clearly he was speaking not only about her, but also directly to her. Her tired, bored, perhaps even apathetic expression softened just a slight bit, replaced only faintly by a blend of curiosity and annoyance. She hadn't really prepared herself to enage with the regulars of this venue so quickly. Cat girl dream. Right. I guess that makes some sense. That she was perhaps one of the first people with such modifications to attend this venue, at least as far as this regular was aware, was concerning. The tail she could hide within her coat. Her ears? That was more difficult. She wasn't here to stand out. Perhaps she could use it to her advantage, sure, but she really did not want to go down that route. I should have worn a hat. A clearing throat returned her attention towards the man's back. Like most people he was tall to her, although not to any crazy extent. Normal, if she had to guess. Attractive. Perhaps a little smug looking, if she had to guess based solely upon first impressions. Well kept and well dressed. Within her head the clicking noise returned, followed by another as she halted the brief recording. Dalton. I don't know that name. Probably harmless. While she performed a quick scan in order to confirm the man's identity Evi wondered how she should go about interacting with the stranger. Dismissing him would be easy enough. Perhaps it might even be the safest move. But if he was a regular then she could also try to learn a thing or two from him. A layout of the club. Who the regulars were. Maybe he had even seen the guy she was after. Maybe he knew her target's regular schedule. Maybe he knew where to find the cleanest spot in this place. "Evi." Quiet but confident. Not bored, but not excited. Calm. Straight forward. She was comfortable at this tone. Soft enough not to scare a man off, but with just enough bite to let him know that she was not some pushover, even if this was her first time here. Using her name was fine. It was on her ID card, and the name Evi probably wasn't too rare. Besides it was more comfortable using her real name, and in this place comfort would be very helpful when it came to steeling her resolve. "First time. Any recommendations?" They weren't exactly mods. At least, not the sort that most people might be able to afford. Evi kept herself from correcting the man. The less he knew about that, the better.

Nope. Click. Not him. Click. Too short. Click. So much for catching him early. A disappointed sigh emerged from the bored woman laid flat within the trunk of a car, a car which was situated across the street from the infamous nightclub. She had been here for hours, peeking out from a hidden viewing port located within the trunk's hatch. Soft clicking noises filled her head, each one the captured face of somebody stood outside of the venue. None of them were her target, but one never knew when or what sort of jobs might be handed over. One of these people could be a future target. If she already had evidence of their misdeeds then it was essentially earning a free payday. Finally a line forming. I suppose I can head over now. I'd rather not be stuck waiting in line for hours. There was another reason for entering early. She had heard rumors of this place. It could become filthy. If she secured a spot for herself then she could at least keep that one small space at least somewhat clean. Unlike the other people attending this club she was here for strictly work-related purposes. Normally she would not be caught dead within a place like this. Provided the rumors were currect, the entire place turned into one giant orgy. While the thought of it might have heated her up just a little bit it definitely wasn't something that she was going to admit to, not to herself and certainly not to anyone else. Hips wiggled and tail swayed as Evi crawled backwards out of the trunk of her vehicle and into the back of the cabin. The seat which had been folded down was set into its proper position, the clicking of mechanisms confirming that it was locked back into place. With ease she slipped up through the front seats and settled into the driver's side. She was small. Dainty. Flexible. Built for traversing through tight spaces, for sneaking into places unnoticed. It also meant carrying around an ID card, especially for a place like this. Her's was fake, one of a few varied identities crafted for her, although it was the closest one to being real, including both the name that she had kept and an age which matched the truth, at least so far as she was aware. The month and day might have been off. A small pocket mirror was removed from the coat sat upon the passenger's side seat and flipped open, a few moments taken to make her hair a bit neater. It wasn't the only thing that she carried on her person. A couple of folding knives. She had a small handgun, but that she decided to place into the glove box. Evi didn't smoke but she did carry a lighter. Other people smoked, and lighting their cigarettes was often a good way of getting them to open up. Let's just get this done and over with. The door was popped open and from the raised seat slid the short cat-like woman. She wore her usual attire. A pair of loose grey baggy cargo pants with pockets large enough to store whatever goodies she might need to bring on a mission, although they were currently mostly empty, held up by a thick black belt and modified with a hole in the back for her tail. Black shoes fit for running. A black sport's bra well suited for whatever troubles she might get herself into. Tying everything together was a dark grey coat, one which contained inner pockets and one which she generally left open. It offered her some privacy and, more importantly, extra space for carrying mission essential goodies. Today it only held the bare essentials. She wasn't here for a fight, after all, but the knives were still present for her protection. With her silver vehicle locked up Evi made her way across the street, hurrying in order to avoid holding up traffic. Once she had finished crossing the Neko slipped her way into the back of the slowly forming line. Jade orbs darted about towards those currently stood around, hands occupied in pockets while the fingers of one nervously played with her ID card. Sure, this was a typical job for her, but she had never been inside such a blatantly seedy place before. At least not one that was rumored to being so openly lewd as this one. How many people here are going to be naked by the end of this night? Maybe I shouldn't have taken this job.

Oh right! My bad! I just noticed that. Wow I used sister every time. Yeah we can chalk it up Selene just being wrong, that definitely does fit with her being super introverted and socially awkward! And probably out of touch with people stuff.

Find Robin. Deliver Charlotte. Acquire friends. Enjoy the party! It'll be easy, right? In the hopes of further enticing Charlotte to follow her to the party Selene had offered to pay for a ride for the both of them. She didn't have her own vehicle. Her father wouldn't allow it, and while his excuse was that she didn't really need one in a town of this size she had the sneaking suspicion that he was using it as an excuse to keep her close to home. Not that she minded, of course. She loved both of her parents, and she knew that her father really loved being around her. It did however make situations like this one a bit more awkward. "I think we should find your sister when we get there. Once she sees that you are okay then everyone will be able to enjoy the party! Right?" A smile was flashed towards the goth girl. She was doing her best to keep calm, to show confidence, and at the moment she was actually succeeding! There were stakes riding on her getting Charlotte back to her sister safely. And besides, they weren't here very late. Surely there wouldn't yet be too many people, right? They were going to go in, see Robin, be friendly, and enjoy the party. That's it! No tension, no embarrassment, no worries! When the vehicle finally came to a stop Selene unbuckled her seatbeat and leaned between the front seats, cash already in hand and extended to their driver. "Thank you sir! Have a good day!" A tip was included, of course. It would be rude not to do so, even if tipping wasn't something she quite agreed with. Their driver had no control over that. Upon exiting Selene popped out a wide brimmed dark purple sunhat, briefly dusted off a piece of lint, and then set it neatly atop her head. It was fashioned after the design of her witch's hat and included a brighter purple inner liner. This was paired with a kimono style robe worn closed which obscured most of her body, one of similar color and only a hint see-through, covered in faint stitched cresant moon patterns. She was used to living in a swimsuit focused town, but generally tried to avoid doing so in public. Besides, revealing the swimsuit later added an air of mystery which some people found appealing! At least that is what one fashion book had proclaimed. Purple sandals with fake amethyst cresant moons tied the outfit together. "Oh. Gosh." There were already quite a few people at the party! With a nod towards Charlotte the small witch led the way forward. She could feel her nerves growing but, for the moment, retained her composure. For the time being she moved with more confidence than she was used to, a mission in mind which propelled her forward without her typical anxieties, focus hardening her resolve. Her gaze darted about, taking in the sights, memorizing the layout and the faces. A friendly nod was offered towards those who acknowledged her, although she was used to going unnoticed, and generally those who did notice in the past only had unpleasant remarks for her. Her true goal at the moment was locating Robin, and she kept a constant eye on Charlotte. It would be pretty sad if she arrived without the girl in tow, after all! Step one: find Robin!
