  2. so the basis for the character that i have is that she was abandoned by her parents as a child but was found by the organization she now works for, she was trained to be a beautiful rose whos thorns were more numorous than any other and laced with whatever toxin it took to get the job done. shes in this town to trace down the supply of this new ore, and has allready gotten some of the best minds in her organization to incorporate it into the aphrosol (aphrodisiac parasol) which is the tool im focusing a lot of her equipment's value on. she is acompanied by Kay, a scientist and chemist acting as a pharmacist in a little unassuming drug store that recently opened up in town I think i need relationships and a stronger definition of her personality and relations with other characters if possible, as well as putting some dice and mechanics to her honey trap history and her tools

  6. im going to say MY character doesnt particularly care about the subtlety of these quack fucks, shes just worried about her mission and some personal situations, her Q on the other hand has pride as a chemist and pharmacist that refuses to sell poison as a cure.. by extension i think my characters doctor is officially more developed in terms of personality than my character is XD

I love... all of this xD Umbracite being locked in as a tactical resource by an agency sounds fantastic Having two solid elements to slap onto my gal before even deciding either of her names (because ofc she is using a fake) And pharmacies in general being a shitshow all sounds great I will say i want my pharmacy to be oddly a little more modern, partly because we have a chemist as my Q who knows information the general population doesn't and doesn't want to further spread mercury poisoning or the like
  8. ok so odds are this will be a bit of a post as I go over everything thats happened since... the first post in this subset? holy fuck I just realized this is all just group 1's discussion PG1 im going to hand wave my portion of the YOU WANT/DO NOT WANT since im joining this half late prudence seems neat i like the vampire esk mad scientist chiyako seems to be doing I like the pitch isabella had for jekyll/hydeing beastfolk im seeing how this is slowly adding elements of fantasy or atleast the supernatural I also love the resource rush angel im seeing mentioned a couple times I would love trains which i see mentioned ...what kind of story is this side planning to tell? looking through peoples wants I see nothing im particularly having issues with magnificent bastard wants elements of supernatural but not vamps/werewolves which is odd PG2 Im liking the idea of prudence and the ashborn being a frontier legend WNS latched onto balls, which I respect as a fellow ball enjoyer WNS has locked in to the bardy angle, extra respect everything in isabella's include section looks good to me ...glancing through everything else looks fine too chiyaka switched to "i cant believe its not vampire" which is neat the blue special mineral seems really fun actually, I think i want to work that in for my characters pherosol (pheromone parasol) as a component used in the chemical reaction WNS's mentioning of the stories focus's brings up slavery and its echoes, which is making me consider other interesting character concepts based off a former slave, which I dont think would really work with my pheromone tech using agent... but its interesting... there may be very hittable NPCs based on negative historic stereotypes (yay!) PG3 mods SHOULD be able to move posts 1000% with the D8 opulent ballroom example I realized I can use PP to make a temporary resource permanent, so I can have my pherosols multitool feature have permanent tools and features half on the fly, which I LOVE and bloodturnscold got moved over around here sex magic is actually going to be a thing which is hillarious and awesome I like gliders personally, would give me an excuse to marry poppins with the pherosol if others had things like that /s a few people post their backstories<3 ...Im going to work on PG4 and beyond later, but so far everything looks solid to me im thinking that my parasol gal owns a small pharmacy in the little town as a front, with an NPC acting as both the main pharmacist and her "Q" who is my supplier for gadgets and my main sort of quest giver when it comes to the espionage side of thing, currently there is a big focus on investigating the flow of "gold" in the town (or whatever the super valuable thing ends up being. in the process I start looking at a few key individuals around town who could be useful for their connection the "supernatural" such as the alleged vampire, what seems to be a traveling mystic with connections to the afterlife, and a monk with connections to the ashborn to name a few. something seems to be going on, and her organization wants both to know what is going on, and wants a cut of the profits if they are there to be had. ...thats the current working idea I have for her, wanted to pitch it before I get too far
  9. well I see i have been very thoroughly welcomed into this side of the game<3 absolutely great to be welcomed so warmly! before I catch up ill start with sharing the basic concept I had for my character to see if anyone has any immediate Ideas or sees any immediate conflicts well I start looking through the backlog... 15 pages hot damn. the short and sweet explanation is my character uses an off shoot of steamtech based around chemicals, namely pheromones, my intent initially was for her to be this secret agent or honey trap style character carrying a parasol that doubles as he main gadget, it can function along the lines of a spray bottle at the tip to utilize some pheromones, it can be deployed like a shield when its opened, and the main shaft houses several smaller gadgets and tools. without knowing... anything about anyones characters currently a few plot points or connections with other characters I would potentially like to see are 1- Im investigating the supernatural activity in the area, and your character is a person of interest for one reason or another 2- I have been tasked to seduce a big name in the area, and you know theres something off about my interest in them 3- we are both at a ball, party, or gathering. something was weird in the air, I was one of the only people who seemed collected which seemed odd. 4- you are a mole, an inside man, or an informant. you know who I work for and what I do, and we are in this together. anyways im going to take a moment to glance through whats going on and go from there

  11. sounds absolutely perfect to me! frankly was not overly sure how to approach combat for an espionage themed honey trap, but from the sounds of it she should be great! in my opinion up to 5~ posts each should be fine well letting other characters participate in their own side/main stories concurrently, I just dont want us to spend months writing a 40 post long smut scene where one of the 3 players is stuck twiddling their thumbs... its a momentum killer if you cant write a post for several months irl erm, I will mention I was intending my main tool to be a parasol that worked as a chemical launcher (pheromones mainly), a multitool of sorts, and a shield... I just want to make sure that particular idea does not directly conflict with the DONT WANT there? its less silly tech and more intended as a secret agents main tool if that helps explain the idea there? the specifics vary from source to source, and well everything you mentioned could apply, the one i was referencing utilizes chemical reactions as a power source well the resulting fumes or other byproducts are weaponized or utilized in some way (IE my pheromone umbrella refueling its pheromone reserves after it burns some chemicals internally to slow a fall or perform some sort of action) its basically steam punk tech where the steam is not water
  12. ok well then ill be briefish I guess WANT tech - steam tech, chem tech, or really any tech that deviates from the default science. specifically I want my character to be weaponizing pheromones and I dont want her to be the only one in universe using a weird side tech Concepts - I would like something a little distanced from raw combat, maybe espionage, maybe a steampunk train hostage situation, maybe a high noon draw off where its more of a stand off then a battle, etc species - im fine with... literally anything you could be a yetti and I would be starry eyed and happy, or a dragon, or a sentient can of pringles. sexual interest varies but anything im cool with being in the setting set pieces- ... a clock tower that doubles as a mad scientists lair? a steam powered train that is a tourist attraction with an authentic robbery! and old school bank, with metal bars, and a proper vault! that gets robbed im basically happy with anything, but these are a few random ideas off the top of my head? DO NOT WANT ... nothing really comes to mind? I just dont want this to become a great premise to a glorified porno, well i love the lewds in these things i have been in a game where the story full stopped because two players fucked like rabbits for 8 or 9 real world months well the rest of us kinda just... waited awkwardly, wanting our own moments, sexual or otherwise.
  13. im glancing over at 1 and they have... a lot more momentum... Im not even entirely sure what we need to pitch or discuss at this point... i lost a lot of momentum since real life nonsense derailed my post schedule... can someone give me like... a question or two to guide what I need to share at this point so i can atleast be thinking on what I need to suggest or share? im really into the idea but im very... lost in the sauce at this point.
  14. ah wait we are down to 3 players then for this side? or is someone from group 1 switching over? personally im fairly flexible, to the point where my kinks and interest list is... for practical purposes optional, ill try just about anything once sexually per person if they think they can make it fun. that all said im a big media nut, i like scifi, fantasy, and just about everything in between... i personally would love to lean into the weird west angle and try some unique and odd things... with that said im currently leaning away from having my character herself being a beastfolk of any variety, im liking the idea of leaning into the pheromone chempunk angle and having a steampunk umbrella which acts somewhere between a pheomone cannon, a multitool, and... well an umbrella itself? im planning to lean more on the steampunk side of the pitch, but my mental image strikes a line close to the parasol toting southern bell with a bit of gothic lace worked in, If need be i can run her as "city folk" coming in from a more fully settled chunk of civilization... I dont really know how wild west this setting will be frankly lol
  15. the two big distinctions i intended for my version of this was that 1, it was cured/resolved fairly quickly on the contagious side of things and 2. was non lethal in the first place, im sure there would be an element of hostiles that would not like their existence, but i also dont think they would be kill on site, because well that would work for the wild west half of the premise, the technological steampunk side of the setting would play fairly nicely with that premise i believe ...i may be bias since my main portion of interest was in the steampunk portion and the specific time frame the comparison point was at
  16. since we have a degree of control with this setting and narative i would like to make a few pitches for what @AsBloodTurnsEverCold just mentioned and see if any of them strike anyones interest, I enjoy worldbuilding so ill take a few shots. what if the "desert" that is this worlds wild west is that way due to some sort of ore that generates heat similar to coal without needing to combust, leading to longer duration steam generation in a safer more consistent method, leading to a gold rush of sorts and allowing a few interesting things -Automatons are a direct result of this process, the controlled burn of this new ore leads metal folk to have more of their mechanics focused on processing power, leading to smaller devices capable of independent thought, which have been used to create automatons that look somewhat human. -airships, well having existed prior to this, now have an alternative to burning coal to generate their heat, allowing for long periods between restocks of fuel, leading to deeper more thorough exploration of the wild west desert... but restock points still need to exist, which is where the small wildwest style mining towns come in, directly acting as resupply points for the airships -during these explorations some runes were found in the desert, and some murals there are leading to the belief that this ore might pose a long term real danger if left as is -the reason this ore is thought to be dangerous is because it directly shows up in these murals with magic, being worshiped like some kind of holy relic, almost as if its a source of this peoples "divine power" ... man i have had too many energy drinks and just wrote an entire setup for this unsolicited based on wildwest steampunk XD ima shush now and have a bagel, let me know if anyone actually likes this, it was fun to write
  17. well i would like to throw my hat in the ring for the "why do furries exist" justification the simple answer is in universe some people with enough money wanted something available to surgically alter their bodies to be closer to their respective ideals, leading to a chemical based venture that ultimately went south, leading to the hybridized forms people wanted... the issue is the fumes spread throughout the city where this research was being conducted infecting and altering peoples bodies at a wide scale, with the intensity of the beastification dependent on how close they were to the epicenter of this event. since then the "infected" individuals have stabilized as the catalyst dissipated but they were permanently changed and the research was currently banned until proper safety measures can be put into place in a controlled setting its been several years since then and the beast folk have started being able to travel, theres a mix of fear and pity for them from the general populace but in general they are leading happy lives with a degree of government support due to the damages from the incident, there are some less than savory scientist though who continue this sort of research unsanctioned. i feel like this could give them a defined origin point, a second "home" city, and a bit of inbuilt story opportunities from the race selection without it being the sole focus

  19. Kemonoimimi is a broader definition to encompass more types of ears (rabbits, bear, dogs, etc) well still being 90% human

Personally im all for animal ears and features and as im in the same set as @Warningi for one vote to allow the floof! ...with that in mind i would also love to work in some rabbit ears to my pheromancer, i have been wanting to play a rabbit folk and this sounds lovely, to me, could even "hide" them with a headband to make them look fake, like shes wearing a playboy bunny esk costume
  21. ok i think i have a solid idea looking at the character sheet, i guess I should ask something that only just crossed my mind, is combat going to be... relevant as a baseline? i realized with cortex being narative I can kinda just... ignore combat and focus on being a a pheromancer? focus all my stuff on manipulating people and being stealthy without actually worrying what I would... do if a fight broke out?

I wanted to try my hand at making my own version of my distinction/SFX since im rethinking the scientist angle and feeling more of a secret agent esk honey trap angle, which i feel like could work well in a steampunk setting Distinction: Alchemical Agent Humans are simply beasts with a more refined mating call, and you? you have learned the pheromones to tame those animals. you are a scientist of scents bending your test subjects to your will, and agent of aroma crafting concoctions that hide your work in a haze of heat and need, a prophet of potions guiding your flock to a passionate paradise of your own design. you are nothing to them at first, but just as quickly you are their everthing... it is simply a scent away~<3 (wanted to angle a little away from the mental centric scientist concept since im currently actually playing a very similar character for a pathfinder 1e campaign, aiming to be less a creator of pheromones and more of a user) Possible SFX: (isabella's) Possible SFX: (Dreamsnthings) (isabellas are still the basis, im just adding/reflavoring things for the concept adjustment) SFX: Alchemical override as a desperate last ditch effort you can directly affect yourself with a curated strain of aphrodisiacs spend X PP to roll an additional D4 for each PP spent when trying to seduce a target, every hitch caused by these extra D4s rolling a 1 does not generate a PP like normal, and instead causes you to take an aroused stress die for every hitch as your nerves alight with need SFX: artificial bonds after maxing out a targets aroused stress track and helping that target "release" that specific "stress" you can take a asset in the form of the aroused target as you take advantage of their instinct driven, lust fueled mind. the asset only lasts for as long as their mind stays muddled, you can take actions to keep the asset aroused and engaged, with a hard limit of keeping them in this state for about an hour.
  23. So this feels like it basically perfectly captures what i was going for, but i would like to have something that can redirect the aroused status track into another direction. IE make them a temporary ally when the stress track is filled, convert aroused into another form of stress, or cause two targets with high arousal to... "finish each other off" Basically i would like a finisher to tie things together if possible? Still not really confident with the system to flat out make something...
