Ayy, Multiversal's here! Good to have you back! ^^ Glad to see the club returning slightly to activity. I think I'll be trying to 'release' more of my characters, so that I can get a bit more active. Speaking of which, @Godot, since @Thatannoyinggod is away and there's no saying when he's coming back, how about we finish up the Mall scene?

"It makes you wonder whether something like that happened in the past. With human stories filled with monsters, you have to assume that our cultures had some sort of contact. But then, why have we no other proof?" A half-smile once again appeared on his face. "The longer we walk this Earth, we more and more realize how little we really know. Our history must appear as shots in the dark, compared to the near-certainty that longevity of some of you may bring." He concluded, reaching for a bottle of water from his pack. He would have prefered coffee, but he really didn't have the patience to make one right now. He really enjoyed these sort of conversations. Hell, they were one of the reasons why he decided on getting a Master's in History. He wondered how many of his colleagues had a chance to share their thoughts with people of another realm. It was undoubtedly a significant perk of his current job.

If I wanted a reconciliation, I wouldn't retcon the initial dissension >.>

Seeing Vlad give him more of his attention, Victor, too, laid down his papers and stretched back in his chair, turning towards the vampire. He gave thought to his words. "Humans often don't even treat each other as equals," he started. "Hell, it took us until 20th century to even acknowledge that women are people just as much as men. With a change as large and sudden as the appearance of monsters, I'm frankly surprised we didn't end up in an outright war because of it." Cynism and even some undirected blame resonated in his voice. He was one of few people who really knew both sides of the situation and knew firsthand how the relations between humans and monsters tended to look so far. He'd have to be naive to believe they would change soon. "But you're right, Sunveil brings... some hope," the werewolf finished. He fell silent for a while, not really sure how to follow-up that statement. He stayed like that for a moment, his train of thought going into a slightly different direction. "How did it even look from the monster side? The opening of the gate, I mean. All that's ever mentioned is the human perspective, but I just realized that I've never really heard how it looked for monsters. Do monsters have any idea what even caused the rift to appear?"

Hey @JennyDK, can we make some things clear regarding Misty? Because I noticed that Yoko seems to hold a grudge, but frankly I intended to retcon any animosity she could have caused between the two. I know it's kinda my fault for leaving her in a narrative stasis, but I do intend to bring her out a bit (since I'm running out of characters to play :p)

"I think I'm just reading into things too much today." Victor smirked, glad that the vampire didn't find him bothersome. "Pun unintended. In any case, you'll have to forgive Veronica. I can only imagine the toll opening a year takes on her. Even if she conceals it behind that grin of hers," he concluded, knowing well how deeply the headmistress cared about the school. "Returning to the topic of wendigos, I'd argue that if you look at the human society, any monster passing through can be judged as stupid. You~We're..." he corrected himself, "...either feared or fetishized. Oftentimes both." He gave a hearty chuckle. "But someone has to make the first step. Both sides need to learn to live with each other." He decided, before looking to the side in melancholy, some nostalgic memory brought back to his mind through the converastion. He sighed slightly. "I'm frankly just afraid how long it will take..."

Victor reached into his bag, getting ready to archive his paperwork, while still listening to what Vlad had to say. "I can only imagine. It's even moreso brave of him to cross to the human world in search of education then," he stated, pulling out the papers as he started to wonder exactly how old the vampire was, and how rare that would make wendigos. He raised his eyes, noticing the book in the other teacher's hand. "But, I'll let you return to your reading," he decided, his grin now expressing understanding of the annoyance one feels when drawn away form an interesting book. He didn't want to bore the vampire to second death with smalltalk.

With the slightest hint of envy, Victor smiled at the loving pride with which the vampire spoke about his daughter. "I have no doubts she will do just as well as she did in the previous years." He commended the girl, giving a slight, approving nod towards Vlad. "It's good to hear that she's spending time with friends. And that she's still as studious as she's always been." He raised a corner of his mouth in a smile. From what he remembered, Bella never had any trouble in his classes. It was clear that she studied much, but he wouldn't have been surprised if she had some natural talent in human studies. Her works were always impressively eloquent. But then, it was easy to forget that she's been around for a few hundred years longer than his usual students. "I wish I could affirm." His face twitched in a bitter smirk as the vampire asked for his day. "I've been feeling pretty foul today. But with every cup of coffee, I'm getting better." He chuckled, not wanting to spoil the mood of the conversation. "A wendigo, you say? I must admit I never would have expected to see the legends of my childhood come to life," he stated, pushing himself deeper into the back of his seat.

The werewolf smiled at the headmistress' outburst of positivity, himself quite relieved at the outcome of the meeting. He probably stressed over it more than he should have. "I haven't, but I'm sure she'll manage to find someone," he stated with confidence, standing up to once again shake the demoness' hand. He maintained eye contact for a moment longer after he let her hand go. Hell, maybe he should invite her for a game of poker sometime. "To you as well, Veronica." He said, raising one corner of his mouth in a smile. "Take care." He caught himself watching her hips sway as she made her way out and rolled his eyes slightly once she left the room. He pushed himself back in the seat, turning towards Vladimir @KinkyAF. "Afternoon, Vlad." He smiled towards the vampire. "How's Bella taking her graduation year?" he asked, vaguely recalling seeing the undead girl during orientation.

Victor nodded in accordance to the headmistress' words, glad that his assesments did not fall on deaf ears. If Veronica said that she'd take care of something, he knew he could trust her to do just that. He didn't even bother trying to decipher the meaning behind her expression. If she weren't his superior, maybe he'd invite her for a round of poker sometimes. That grin of hers would be impossible to outbluff. He let his thoughts come back from that slight digression, quickly going through the lesson in his mind. Did anything more of note happen? Ah, right. "Yakshi, one of the demon students, wants to start an.. umm... sewing club." He said, taking a moment to recall what exactly the purpose of the club was. "I agreed to oversee that if she finds more members." He stated. It wasn't something that required Veronica's immediate attention yet, but he decided that she might want to want about that. "Other than that, the lesson went without major incidents," he concluded. The thought of the club brought back to him a memory of the state in which he found the demon girl. He clouded up, recalling how low she was feeling. And she wasn't the only one in that. It felt like everyone in that class was dealing with something difficult. He exhaled slowly and raised his eyes towards Veronica, expecting that she'd start to finish up the meeting.

Yess, I still have that in the back of my mind! I promise, once the second day of lessons will start to roll out, I'll have Anpu be more available. In theory I could fit one evening scene for her, but I think it'd be best if we leave that particular scene for the next day. I want for her to try and approach Edgar too regarding the library ^^

Victor's gaze shifted for a split second as he heard a knock at the door, but resumed to give Veronica @JennyDK his undivided attention as he saw Vlad take care of the visitor. He frowned slightly at headmistress' words. "The whole idea of preventive measuress is for us not to have to assume someone's guilt," he aruged. "But I'll rest my point. If they continue to misbehave, I'll make sure to let you know." The outcome of the dialogue wasn't exactly to his liking, but he decided not to push it. He knew better than to try and reason with Veronica when she had her mind set on something. That wasn't the point of this conversation anyways. The werewolf took some time to think over the headmistress' idea regarding Zadria, his eyes wandering into the distance for a moment as he slowly stroked his chin. "Personal tutoring could help," he decided. "Although if Zadria shows as much motivation to study as she did in all the previous years, it won't result in much. I'll talk to her about that. I was meaning to check up on her anyways," he concluded.

Uff... Hello everyone! Sorry for not being around last evening like I mentioned, but my Internet died due to a storm in my area.

We're not using any real way to keep track of time properly though.* But I agree, it's mostly freeform right now. I try to keep track through what lessons are currently going on, since they technically should start at the beginning of the day. I'll probably have to give it up though as we move further into the game.

Well, I am sorry to keep you waiting. I just like to keep detailed track of when, why, and where my characters are. Just a personal quirk of mine. I try to keep it more as a guideline and have it a bit more dynamic throughout the day, but right now it feels only correct for her to finish the day since she's at her dorm and has some work to do.

Victor tried his best not to show his annoyance at the headmistress' words. He understood she didn't want to make judgements without proof, but he would have hoped that she valued his judgement more than that. He took a deep breath, calming himself down a bit. "With all due respect Veronica, I wasn't born yesterday. I can tell when a student is trying to bullshit me. Besides, it wouldn't be Zadria's modus operandi. She's not the manipulative type, and certainly not one to try and pull teachers into her endeavors. I understand you might be skeptical, but you'll have to trust my judgement here, at least until I have some way to counteract their telepathy." His thoughts went to the higher demon. It was clear that there were some deeper problems within Zadria. True, she wasn't a perfect student. Hell, she wasn't even a decent student, but in his experience, she was mostly reactive rather than active. As long as people stayed out of her way, she was manageable. Which wasn't ideal of course, but at least she didn't act out of pure spite. In fact, he even vaguely recalled her making friends during the opening ceremony. And Toshi seemed to know how to talk with her. Victor decided he would have to talk with him later about that. "If there is a way to separate them, I would be glad to have that option. Their powers don't seem to be limited by distance, so just having them change their seats is not an option. We'd have to make sure they are not in one class together." He moved his thoughts back on the previous track, hoping there would be a way to solve this issue.

I mean so far I retracted only Anpu It's been quite a short day for her content-wise, so I'll try to make the next one more extensive, but so far, narratively, it made sense for her to finish her day. I'm looking forward to pulling her out when the second round of classes starts. I'll gladly have a scene with you ^^ Also, good afternoon everyone!

Victor listened attentively, trying to grasp anything from Veronica's words that could help him with the situation. The slight grimace on his lips stated that what he was hearing so far wasn't exactly helpful. His eyebrow raised at Veronica claiming his statement to be an 'assumption'. What reason had she to doubt his words? He'd seen with his own eyes how badly the three demons got on Zadria's nerves. "I can't tell you for certain. I can't say what thoughts they are sending other students' way. It was bad enough that it threw Zadria on the verge of a mental breakdown. Even before they tried to shift the blame on her afterwards..." He sighed. "Some kids are just cruel, Veronica." He shifted in his seat. "I'll try having them talk with Isegol, but I doubt it will help. Even if it comes from some deeper problems, some behaviors are inexcusable." The finger tapping only intensified, "Having them in the same class as Zadria is a disaster waiting to happen."

Hey @Godot, Anpu's currently at her dorm. My intention was to recall my characters until the second day so that I don't get lost in time tracking. I'd prefer to wait until then with scenes with Anpu, but since it's hard to tell when will we close up the day, I guess I could squeeze in a scene.

Victor grimaced slightly at yet another hint of what exactly Veronica's endeavours had been. He didn't really have much interest in other people's bedroom affairs. He couldn't blame her though. She'd done more for him than likely anyone else had done, even just by accepting him into the Academy. And well, by accepting him in general. It was only fair he tolerated her... eccentricities. He sighed deeply, leaning back into the seat, staring at the ceiling as he brought his memory back to today's lesson. Even without speaking a word, his expression betrayed that the lesson did not go exactly as planned. He sighed again, bringing himself back to match Veronica's gaze. "Well, where do I start from... Do you recall the LuBelle siblings? Triplets I believe, all of them lust demons. They seem to have gotten particularly obnoxious this year, and I don't really have the tools to deal with their abilities. I can only presume when they are using their telepathy. I hope I don't need to explain why their abilities are destabilizing to the lessons. Especially when they use it to pick on other students." He frowned, recalling the situation that happened pretty much right after he started the lesson. "They started bullying Zadria this time. I can't even separate them without having them be in separate rooms." His tone started to betray frustration, but he stopped himself from ranting, his fingers tapping nervously against the surface of the table.
