Icarian Dreams

As I mentioned before, I'd be up for having Victor be the homeroom teacher for third year, and since I seem to have fixed my internet problems, I think I can do that. The only problem is that I don't really grasp the organizational stuff just yet, but I feel it's actually quite in-character :^

Still filled with unspent energy, Misty looked around the room, not really listening to what the teacher had to say. The tentacle girl seemed worried about the wolf-boy's growl, which seemed like a nice change to her being worried about basically everything else. The wolf-boy actually seemed to ease up a bit, and... wait... did the human-boy and the zombie-girl just exchange looks?! Misty did a double-take. And now the human-boy seemed to be blushing! Outrageous! There was clearly something going on between the two, and Misty had been comepletely oblivious to it! Well... not that she really cared about it... right? Her ears perked up to the sound of "dance". A-ha! A plan was starting to slowly form in her mind. Her hand went up again. "Prof'sor, will there be any dance classes available?"

Catching Luther's @Solomon response in one ear, Misty rolled her eyes. Another teacher who seems to had had a stick up his arse. "Waste o' god-damn time if you ask me," she grunted under her breath. She listened to the rest of the vampire's speech with an unamused expression, stopping herself from making more remarks. The emo kid @The Dark King speaking up surprised her. She assumed Luther's mention was directed to her, but if that weirdo wanted to take the blame, she was more than willing to let him. She flew down to her seat, sticking out her tongue in the direction of the manticore girl @JennyDK when the teacher wasn't looking.

"And we can most certainly see you already, miss too-hot-for-clothes. Damn, you're making the human boy nervous!" Misty giggled deviously, as she started to notice an opportunity for something interesting to arise. It seemed she was back in the center of attention. Great! She whistled. "Wonder whatcha drawing in that little notebook of yours, human-boy!" She grinned widely, giving Hiro a playful wink. She already liked this class!

The moment Misty heard Luther ask "Any questions", her hand shot upwards. The moment he adds "on that", it went straight back down. Ugh. Why did he have to be so precise. After a moment her hand did, however go back up, as did the rest of the ghost girl, as she decided to shout over everyone else. "I have a question!" before anyone can react, she goes on to ask it: "Are PE classes mandatory for ghosts? It's not like I have a body to train." She accentuated the "body" part in an almost mocking manner. Having a good vantage point, she looked around the class, waiting for Luther to answer. She spotted a weird tentacle-related girl @OlrukTheSmall looking at her, so she gave a wink, pointing ghostly finger guns at her. Her attention quickly shifted, as she noticed the naked manticore @JennyDK, and her eyes almost popped out at the sight.

The first thing that signified that Misty found the right classroom was a reverbing, ghostly giggling that suddenly filled the classroom. The second thing was the young translucent girl backflipping through the wall around a meter above the ground with little care for the world. It takes her a moment to realize that she's not exactly alone in the room. As soon as she does, however, she straightens up in a way exaggerated fashion, and gives a militaristic salute towards Luther. "Goooood mornin, P'sor!" She exclaimes, a bit too loud for most people's comfort, then flies to the very back of the class, intending to occupy the undoubtedly best spot in the class.

It's in the nature of the site that we have to deal with things that are taboo or distasteful to some. In the end it's all about finding common ground and not kink-shaming each other :^ On a different topic, how are we approaching the schedule thing? I see that the orientation topics are starting to come up, but should we decide what's going to happen after that?

Spoilers do seem like the right way to go here to keep the story consistent. And I agree rape should have consequences - just like any other action. Such is the nature of public RP ^^ I think we've reached a consensus here; thank you for listening to my point of view.

In this case I would like to know where the line is between rape and other forms of non-con. Defining the terms is really important in situations like this. Keeping such descriptions to EcchiTexts or hiding them in spoilers is a compromise I can get behind. I agree that there should most definitely be a way for people to skip such descriptions if they are not into them.

I know I am a bit late for the party, but I personally am against restricting all non-consensual encounters, even if just for the sake of more "spicy" bullying (not to mention abilities like "Aura of Lust" are basically just a walking rape pill), but if I'm alone in this belief, I am willing to bend. My idea would be to allow non-con as long as there is consent between the players (which is basically how almost every kink works here though).

After about an hour of not really constant, and more of speedwalking rather than running, Misty was more than happy to be set free. Well, at least he didn't use that damned seal. As she joyfully flew towards the school's wall, she slowed down near Edgar just to say: "Don't worry, Mr. Headmst'r, my mummy always said that size doesn't matter." She put her lips in a pout, nodded a few times, giving Edgar a look of complete and judgementless understanding, then flew as quickly as she could through the school's wall, filling the building with a wild, haunting giggle.

Misty's jaw dropped. Damn, it was even better than they told her. Frankly, a mountain would have been a much better comparison than a rock. And while it wasn't as funny as she thought it would be, she didn't regret a single thing. "Daaaaamn, Mr. Headmst'r, sure!" she shouted, with authentic enthusiasm in her voice. "You. Are. So. Cool!" She raises her voice even further, to make sure that the headmaster heard her, then phased straight into the doll. Well, at least in this form he didn't seem like he had a way to put that damn sigil on. She will have so much to tell others about! She moved her head outside the doll for a moment, and gave Mary @JennyDK a quick wink. "You're a damn good shot too, miss! That brick was a damn bullseye!" With that said, she moves back into her temporary body and sprints as quickly as it allows her to.

Well, shit, Now things were starting to look rough. "But sir, I told you, I was just napping! How could I have known the brick was going to fall? One second I'm all fine nappin', the other, whoosh, I'm falling, straight down." She sure as hell wasn't getting into... whatever that was. Not with that nasty seal anywhere around. She had to admit, that the Vice-Head was pretty cool. Well, at least his powers were cool. Even if he didn't turn into a rock. "Mr. Headmst'r, I am sorry that this brick almost fell on your head. I truly am! But I'm a victim of the circumstances as much as you are, sir! Who would want to wake up falling down and being shot at?"

Misty continues to stare daggers at Mary for a while longer, before turning to the vice headmaster, deciding to ignore the woman entirely. "Don't you enjoy hanging around in walls, Mr. Headmst'r?" She asks with a spark in her eye as she recalls Edgar phasing through a wall himself. Well his technique may have been a bit different from hers, but she definitely could see correlation. The look on Edgar's face quickly makes her realize that dodging the question may not work for much longer. "Weeeeell, so you know that beautiful speech Ms. Headmisstr's had, right, sir? So, after that speech, I decided to take a short nap. Cause, you know, I can't exactly-" She moves her hand into her mouth and moves it up and down through her throat in a gesture that's supposedly attempting to signify eating. "What can I say, it looked like a comfy brick. Not my fault it was a bit loose, right, sir?" She follows, seeking some confirmation to her proclaimed innocence.

Having accepted defeat, Misty slowly floats out of the brick. "Weeeelll, Mr. Headmst'r," She starts, giving a long, deathly stare to Mary. "I did not launch a brick at you. It just happened to uhm... fall off. And I just happened to be inside. Pure accident!" She starts, ever so slightly, to sink into the ground, keeping an eye on the armed guard. "Do you always let your security shoot at students? Just wanna say, if I weren't dead already, I sure would be after that!" Misty exclaims, pointing at the bullet hole inside the brick. "That ain't no rubber bullet, sir!"

"Ooooh, shi-, I mean, oh shoot!" the Brick calls out, realizing she's outed herself. A translucent, black-haired head pops out of the stone, leaning over the gray hand of the headmaster. "Damn, keep going!" She gasps, before taking a look at Edgar's face. "Ehm. Keep going... sir?" The head dives back into the brick as soon as she notices Mary turn her head towards Edgar. Misty's voice lowers to a theatrical whisper, sounding rather ridiculously as the material dulls it down. "Ooooh, please throw me at her! I want to see her shoot with this!" She says, seeing the new weapon in the guard's hand.

Wait, they have GUNS here? Misty exclaimed in her mind, in a mixture of awe and almost squealed from the weird sensation she felt as the bullet tore a part of her stoney body away. That was so cool! I need to get shot more often! Her awe only grew as she felt a hand pick her up, and saw the form of the vice-head start to flicker. Was that the thing? Was he going to turn into a rock!? She would have held her breath had she one. Instead, just a loud, albeit a bit... stoney "Wooooo!" filled the air, as Misty noticed the thorns coming out of the ground. She didn't hear about that! What else could he grow? Could he grow a tree if he wanted? If he were on a desert, would he grow cacti? She had so many questions!

While the rest of the students might have been enjoying the opening ceremony, Misty thought nothing of it. She couldn't drink or eat, and listening to the headmistress' speech was interesting for, like, first five seconds. No, Misty had way different plans for her first day at Ironclaw. And, having already taken her time scouting the premises of the academy, she's found exactly whom she was looking for. See, Misty had heard rumors regarding the vice headmaster. Nothing too certain, of course, nor too extreme. She's heard that when angered, the vice headmaster turns into a rock. And Misty could not think of anything funnier than a vice-head turning into a rock. So, of course, she was going to test that theory. The only problem lied in execution. First of all, Misty had to find a way to anger the vice-head. Second of all, she would have to do it without getting caught. And third of all, being a ghost, she had limited tools. She couldn't exactly possess a stone and propell herself towards her target's head. But it did bring an idea to her mind... She stuck her head through the wall she was hiding herself in. It seemed that her target was speaking with that security woman she's seen earlier. And he was still near the entrance. Good. The ghost girl flew a few meters higher, took another quick look to make sure she's in the right position, and morphed into one of many of the academy's bricks, almost directly above the headmaster. This was almost too easy - and it was a classic of comedy! No way it could go wrong! Utilizing what little force she had in her brick form, she started slowly shifting out of the academy's wall. Shift by shift, slide by slide, she was but centimeters away from her goal. With an audible pop, the brick slipped right out of the hole, sent flying stright down towards Edgar's @Thatannoyinggod head. No way it could go wrong, right?

Actual curriculum or riot! In seriousness though, I'd be down for being a homeroom for the third grade, but I'll be slightly less active for the next couple of days since I'm on vacation. So consider me like a second-choice in case someone else wants to take the place. :^ Also, welcome @OlrukTheSmall! Hope you have a good time with us!

Didn't you just mention we had a thread for suggestions, Jenny? I'd be down to limiting the amount of posts, but keep it more as a guideline rather than hard law. I mean, sometimes scenes expand when you don't expect them to, so let's not just break them in the middle because we reached a limit. That said there should be some moderation over that.

I think a schedule would be a good idea, it would keep teachers from fighting each other as to who has a lesson at said time, since we have only three classes.

So, when will we be moving things forward?

"Mhm," Victor murmured in confirmation between two long sips of coffee. "Not all volumes are available for the first-years, I'm afraid, but I'm sure you'll find more than enough for your satisfaction." He was glad the conversation was bringing such joy to the boy. It felt almost like giving someone a gift for Christmas. He smiled, as he listened to the young wolf-man. "Witch side, hmm? Our librarian, Mr. Illrean is one of the most knowledgeable mages I've met." Not that I've met many, he reflected. "I'm sure he'll be happy to help you in your pursuit of knowledge. As a matter of fact, I think I just saw him go outside. If you'd want to speak with him, that is."
