When he heard the voice, Edgar jumped from his seat, his nerves being a bit on edge that day. The plant life of the room suddenly shifted from the pleasant wild flowers to crab grass and thorny vines with his excitement and irritation. "Wha! Who the..." He watched the papers fly around the room and groaned as he though of the mess that he would have to clean up. At seeing Misty fully reveal herself, Edgar glared the young student down. "Miss Misty... of course. Yes there is a dance happening." His glare continued until he heard the honest apology come from the girl over the mess that she made. He let out a heavy sigh and shook his head. He spoke as he bent down to pick up the various paperwork. "Its ok...this time. And yes, I do plan on being at the dance. Mostly to keep watch, but hopefully it will still be enjoyable. Is there something I can help you with? Or did you come here just for clarification?"

Ruben was sitting opposite of Keya on his own laptop. He was running through his latest game of minecraft, doing survival mode this time to see if he could recreate what he had made in creative mode. Walking in, anyone could see that Ruben had definitely went for a different look tonight. His blue hair was left down this time, reaching down to his shoulder blades. He wore a black button up shirt with white pinstripes, the top two buttons undone and, like Lucy requested, no tie in sight. He also wore some new black jeans and dark brown boots. Hearing Lucy enter, he stood up and spun around, making sure to not block Keya's view of her. Ruben had a bright smile, not even noticing that he didn't pause his game. "Hey! Lucy! Was worried you were getting cold feet. Yeah bus? What were you doing that needed you to ride the bus?" He looked confused until she asked where the elevator music came from, then he looked sheepish. "Heh...sorry. That one was me. Thought that at least some kind of music would be better than none until you arrived."

Woot!! Hm...probably would be the safest place haha. His office is getting plenty of visitors

"Of course. I can't wait to see how you do at the entertainment. And thank you for doing it by the way." He stood and extended a hand out towards the door. When she stood as well, he walked her out of the room and then closed the door behind her. He went back to his desk and settled into his chair, expecting the dance to be very enjoyable and hopefully eventful in a pleasant way. [Scene end]

No problem. And we could still do a short scene for Misty if you still want to. I don't mind either way. I don't know how busy Edgar will be during the dance so it won't be much of a hold back.

He nodded as he listened to her explanation and took the papers to sign the waivers. "You make a good point. Ok, I will see what I can get and I will meet up with you. Thank you again for helping me Miss LuBelle." He gathered his things and left the teacher to do what she needed to do. Then he went to his room and gathered any supplies he might have.. [Scene to be continued in the City of Sunveil after the parade festivities.]

By the way @Icarian Dreams @Godot are we still planning on having LxRxK using a classroom for the backstage of Lucy's DJing?

Heyo everyone! I'm back, sorry for being gone, I had gotten really sick and have been mostly sleeping for the past few days. But I'm doing better now and I've missed you all!! Anything major that I've missed?

"That sounds good to me. Gives me time to prepare." He had no problem going out at night, he just wanted to let Lucy and Keya know that he was going to be out and available for the night. At the question if he had any way of protecting himself, he shook his head solemnly. "That I will admit I don't. Should I see about picking something up or such?" He shifted where he sat, honestly not knowing what to prepare or expect.

He smiled at her excitement over being given the chance to do her task well. After giving her the key, he leaned back into his chair. "The dance portion will be held in the Assembly Hall. It would best to set yourself up there, probably in a corner so that there is plenty of room for everyone to dance and no cords or equipment gets tripped over. I am glad to hear you have friends that can help you. If you all need any help moving any of the heavier equipment, please done hesitate to ask me for help." Her next question made him raise a single eyebrow at the idea of it. He chewed on the thought, thinking on the good it could be...and any issues that could arise as well. He bridged his fingers in front of his face, thinking. While he thought on it, he didn't notice that he was staring right at her. He kept his fingers bridged as he gave his answer. "While I like the idea of this, I would need to speak to the Head Mistress about this. I will say, your performance at the dance might help sway the final decision of this. So think of the DJ job as an audition, of sorts, and do your best at it. After the dance, we can talk on this further and see what can happen. Understand?"

He shrugs at her when she asks him to further explain what he means. "I guess the better wording is aesthetically pleasing. I just wabt something that suits me that's all." He waved the subject off with his hand, it not being really important. "When would you like to go to the park? I am done with classes today so I am free for the rest of the day."

He nodded at what she said. "Well... if that's the case, I want something that has the capability to protect me, but isn't aggressive enough to attack without my order. Preferably something that is more of an animal or such. I feel weird at the idea of having something humanoid as a familiar. If it can speak to me, that would also be helpful, so it can give its insight and such. And... it might seem shallow, but something that looks nice. It's weird, but you said all variables. Is there anything else I need to think of?"

He smiled brightly as she said that she would help. He didn't fully know that it was his determination that convinced her, so he made a mental note to make sure he got the sweets for her. At her question, he froze a little. He thought it through, wondering what kinds of criteria there were. "I wouldn't mind something that could change its shape or size. Make it easy to carry it around as well as maybe help me get a different perspective on what I'm doing. Other than that, I don't really know what kind of criteria there are. I'm still very new to this you know." He gave a small chuckle as he answered her question as best as he could.

He thought for a bit before he answered. There were so many options before him, the perfectionist in him was stunned. Then, it came to him, a bright idea that satisfied him entirely. "If you don't mind it, the city park is the best place I can come up with. I have been trying to come up with a garden for the school... basing a lot of it off of the gardens in the city. Kind of the bane of my existence heh. Suiting that I might find my help there as well, don't you think?" He gave the teacher a proud smile, not quite where this decision and confidence was coming from, but embracing it.

When she slyly states that the tray of cookies won't be enough, a slight chuckle escaped his lips. "Well... I guess I could also make sure it was a variety tray... with a half sheet of brownies mixed in there, heh." He gave her a mischievous smile that slid into a determined face when she questions if he wants to do the ritual instead. "Like I said, if finding one doesn't work, then I'll do the ritual. I have always believed to give everything you try all that you can. If I am going to do this, I want to make it well worth it."

He quickly transcribed her information into his laptop without having to even look at the screen. As he took it all in, he leaned back into his chair. The idea of him being harmed when trying to get a familiar was worrisome... but if he could get the teacher to join him, he might have some kind of protection. "Well, would you be willing to help me find one? And is there a deal that has to be made or some kind of ritual that has to be done if one is found willing to being a familiar? If you could help me, I would be very appreciative for you. Aaannnddd I might make sure there was a cookie tray from the best bakery in town on your desk next time I have your class." He knew her love of baked goods, and maybe it was all of his monster friends rubbing off on him, but he wasn't above using bribery.

Edgar nodded as his words seemed to have an effect on the slime girl. Hm... this might have been akin to what the queen was referring to. "Good! As long as you understand that, I see no issues with you taking on this responsibility." He leaned himself back into his chair as it seemed she had more to talk to him about. As she explained the situation, he put his hand to his chin and tapped his cheek with one finger in thought. "I think I know something that might help you with that. You have my permission to go into the old A/V club's room. Nobody seemed to want to take up the mantle in a couple of years, so all of the equipment that the alumni donated should still be in there. You may use anything you find in there. I know there was some equipment that was fairly expensive and nearly brand new." He reached into a drawer on his desk and pulled out an old skeleton key. He held the key out for her to take it from his hand. "That should help you greatly, yes?"

Edgar beamed at the enthusiasm that she showed for the idea of doing the music. This was exactly what he was hoping for, a student to reach out and show some of the talent that lies in in student body. The music choices seemed appropriate enough to him. "Your idea sounds really good. I would ask to make sure to have a good mixture of music from both the human and monster societies. If you need any help finding anything, I'm sure some of your classmates might be willing to help. This dance is to celebrate the cohesion of monster and human society, as well as celebrate the decade that the school has been open." He nodded with her idea of the slow songs, partly wishing he could be able to attend an event like this with Mary. When she stopped herself, he looked at her a little confused until she asked her question. He tried to give a relaxed face to her, trying to reassure the girl and not make her nervous. "Oh nothing to worry about. It will just be some visitors from the monster world coming to watch how we are doing along with observe and participate in the school and city's festivities." He waved her down, showing there was nothing to worry about. "I only mention it to have you keep in indeed that if you do this, you will be representing Ironclaw Academy in what you do." He gave the girl a small smile.

As she talked, he listened very carefully. He noticed her writing things in the air, recognizing this from classes where she puts things in the air to show students important information. He quickly pulled out his laptop and began typing them into his notes. "Hm... I don't think I want to create one. I already have issues creating my own stuff for my hobbies, making something like this might never happen because of my pickiness in details. Finding one would definitely be interesting, if there are in fact portals leading to places that I might find one. Kind of would want to do that and if that doesn't work, then try summoning one. What are the pros and cons of those two options?"
