Officer Kess: For the record, please state your full name.

Nyx Valor: Nyx Valor, bounty hunter extraordinaire. You probably already read my file, but hey, if you wanted an excuse to get me talking, all you had to do was ask, Officer Kess.

Officer Kess: [clears throat] Your file states you were born on Zeta Orbis IV, a desert planet known for its harsh conditions. How did that shape you?

Nyx Valor: You ever grow up somewhere where the wind can strip the skin off your bones and the only law is the one you make for yourself? That was home. Taught me to survive, to fight, and to trust no one until they prove themselves.

Officer Kess: And yet, you became a bounty hunter. What led to that?

Nyx Valor: At 16, I put a bullet in the head of some local enforcer who thought my family was an easy target. Word spread, and before I knew it, some bounty guilds wanted me on their side. I trained under a veteran, got good—really good. Then he sold me out. Lesson learned: trust is just a fancy way of setting yourself up for betrayal.

Officer Kess: Sounds like a rough past. Any regrets?

Nyx Valor: Regrets? Nah. Bitterness? Maybe a little. But every scar’s a story, and I wouldn’t be here without them. Speaking of stories, I’d love to hear yours, Officer. Off duty, of course.

Officer Kess: [pauses] Moving on. How would you describe your personality?

Nyx Valor: Charming, dangerous, and just the right amount of trouble. I keep my circle small, my blade sharp, and my drinks strong. People either like me, fear me, or both.

Officer Kess: How do you handle stress and difficult situations?

Nyx Valor: With a blaster in one hand and a smirk on my face. Stress means I’m still alive, and I’m damn good at making sure that doesn’t change.

Officer Kess: Your motivations—what drives you?

Nyx Valor: Freedom. I don’t want anyone pulling my strings. Every job I take gets me closer to retiring somewhere quiet, somewhere nobody knows my name. Well… unless I decide to tell them in a more personal setting.

Officer Kess: [exhales] Let’s discuss your skills. Your file notes expertise in tracking, combat, and technology. What would you say is your greatest strength?

Nyx Valor: I see things others miss—patterns, weaknesses, opportunities. Also, I’m damn good with my hands. Blades, blasters… other things, if the occasion calls for it.

Officer Kess: And your weaknesses?

Nyx Valor: I don’t trust easily. Holding grudges is kind of a hobby at this point. And, well, I might flirt my way into or out of situations more than I should. But can you blame me?

Officer Kess: [sighs] Your relationships—how do you approach them?

Nyx Valor: I’ve had my fun, but I’m not just looking for a warm body anymore. I want someone who gets me, someone strong enough to stand with me, not behind me. Know anyone like that, Officer?

Officer Kess: Likes and dislikes?

Nyx Valor: I love the hum of a starship, spicy food, a good fight, and old Earth jazz. I hate bureaucrats, liars, and sandstorms. Seriously, I’d be happy never seeing sand again.

Officer Kess: Final question—any personal touches that define you?

Nyx Valor: Aside from the undeniable charm? I keep my weapons customized, my ship modded to hell, and I wear a pendant I got as a kid. No real sentimental value, but it’s been with me this long. Might as well see how far it goes.
