Officer Kess: This is Officer Rayna Kess, conducting the arrival interview for Dimensional Variant #1023-B. Please state your name for the record.

Claire Everhart: Uh… Claire Everhart.

Officer Kess: Claire, got it. You’re listed as a human with no prior combat training or special skills, which is rare around here. Care to explain how you ended up in the Nexus?

Claire Everhart: Sighs Yeah, it’s, uh… kind of a weird story. I wasn’t supposed to end up here. One second, I was at home, studying for my online classes, and the next—boom! Here I am. Some kind of portal or cosmic joke, I guess.

Officer Kess: Huh. Unintentional arrivals happen sometimes. What was your life like before?

Claire Everhart: Pretty isolated. I was homeschooled my whole life. My parents… well, let’s just say they were overprotective. I didn’t really go out much, and, uh—pauses—physical stuff made things complicated.

Officer Kess: Complicated how?

Claire Everhart: Blushes I, um… I have a unique issue. Let’s just say my body makes normal clothing and movement kinda difficult.

Officer Kess: …Right. Moving on. Do you have any useful skills? Anything you’re particularly good at?

Claire Everhart: I guess I’m pretty smart? I read a lot—history, science, interdimensional theories, stuff like that. I know how to program a little, and I’m a quick learner. But fighting? Not really my thing.

Officer Kess: No survival skills? No combat experience?

Claire Everhart: Does dodging awkward situations count?

Officer Kess: Not really. What are your goals now that you’re here?

Claire Everhart: Shrugs I don’t know. I never really thought about the future. Maybe I’ll finally get to live a little, meet people, and, uh… figure out where I belong?
