Bio: Faelynn comes from an ancient line of witches, one whose name was once held with respect within the community. However, over the years, her family fell from those graces simply because they refused to bend to the expectations placed upon them. Their ways were considered too old-fashioned, too different, and their refusal to conform slowly turned them into outsiders.

Faelynn was raised in the loving care of her grandmother, who taught her to be a free spirit and, above all else, to remain true to herself. She taught Faelynn that magic was a privilege, not simply a birthright—that having the ability to wield it came with responsibility, care and understanding.

Because of the downfall of her family's name, Faelynn witnessed first-hand just how cruel their community could be. She watched as her grandmother was cursed, belittled, mocked and laughed at simply because of who she was and the family she came from. At times, the cruelty went even further, with people throwing things at her grandmother as they passed.

To protect Faelynn from becoming another target, the two eventually made their home on the outskirts of town, away from the toxicity of the community that had turned its back on them.

Faelynn grew up quickly. She became determined to protect her grandmother from whatever cruelty she could, often being the one to venture into town to run errands, collect food and gather whatever they needed to live comfortably. She learned early how to keep her head high, even when people wanted to see her lower it.

After losing her grandmother, Faelynn made a decision. She would enter the academy for witches and earn the one thing her family had been denied for so long—the title of Starla

A title that would demand respect.

And she intends to earn it her own way.

The way her family always would have.

Personality: Faelynn is a lively person, with a personality as warm and vibrant as the sun itself. She does her best to embody everything her grandmother represented: love, light, strength, compassion and, perhaps most importantly, a good sense of humour. 

She has a natural tendency to make light of things, especially when situations become uncomfortable. Though she can have quite the temper when pushed, Faelynn has learned to channel it into sarcasm, quick wit and humour rather than allowing her anger to control her.

She is often seen as carefree, sometimes even a little aloof, giving the impression that very little truly bothers her. But beneath that easy-going exterior is a sharp intellect and someone who pays far more attention than she lets on.

Faelynn is also well versed in the purer forms of magic, having been taught by her grandmother from a young age. While she may not always follow the traditional expectations of what a witch should be, she understands magic in a way that comes from years of practice, patience and respect for the craft.

She carries her grandmother's teachings with her in everything she does—and as she steps into the academy, Faelynn intends to prove that her family name may have fallen from grace, but it was never without worth.
