Monty Baudelaire is the son of generational wealth. His family on his father's side built the bustling city of Silcast East, an empire reminiscent of New York City. The city holds some of the most influential people, companies and buildings. The bustling streets are crowded with cars and pedestrians alike with a culture that holds memories of generations past. Monty's family name holds power amongst the city for many different walks of reasons. His father contributes to their community in a way no one else does; fights against corruption and for the lower class as well as ensures all of his employees are paid well and taken care at the family owned company Prestige Financial Group. On the other side, there are rumors of Monty's father being involved in shady business behind closed doors and down dark alleys. Even Monty himself has a habit of slipping out of rooms and coming back hours later with no explanation. His mother passed when he was young under mysterious circumstances forcing him to live with a nanny for most of his life while his father worked endlessly.
