The Gorgtons are a race of highly advanced aliens who discover earth during one of they're scouting runs. They decide that earth's women would make for fantastic mates, and threaten the planet into offering up enough women to satisfy the powerful alien race. This includes Mal, who ends up collared and dragged around the ship by one of the high ranking officers as a plaything, dispite her objections.
