His face freshly shaven, Randall had washed his face and put his clothes on before leaving his room. Yesterday's newspaper had given him an address and a name, so he had enjoyed the hotel breakfast and then taken his car for a spin around town as he mulled over the sense of dread he had felt and was still experiencing to some extent. It hadn't subsided yet as much as he had hoped, which irritated him slightly. The conference should never have been held here! If the people making the decision had not been blithering idiots, then they would have booked the Lumine Hotel and had the meeting at Ridge Cliff instead!
