Hey everyone! I just got into Myrtle Beach at 3:00am after driving 14 hours. I can’t remember if I let everyone know I was going to be gone for a week or not, but if you didn’t know before, now you do! I may post from here, but this trip is all work and no play (well, a couple days of play) as I’m taking my niece to visit colleges in South Carolina and Florida. It’s all driving and touring campuses and sleeping in a new hotel every night. So yeah.. no rest for the Izzy!

To see if someone was in danger…a familiar sound…my people have had trouble with humans like that.” There was some tension in her voice, bad memories, fears, of her own. She had hoped to be safe from that here, she could only hope most of the territory was safe, and that precautions would have been taken. “There is a good chance those men wanted to hunt or capture those like us. Bunny ears perked up when Dante suddenly set up to all fours and faced away from the two of them. She had nearly bolted in that moment, and might have had the wolf approached any closer. When she heard the loud snapping of some terrible weapon Mina immediately pushed herself to the ground, ears folding back from the noise. Whatever had been fired had hit Dante instead. In the next moment he had torn away from them and through the bushes. The healer winced when she heard the blood curdling scream, and then again when she heard the sickening snap of bone. I'm not the only one who was trying to help. That just makes this more sad, right? Zelnath appeared to be more afraid of the Humans than they were of the giant wolf. Mina couldn't really blame her. Humans often times were not good. Even she had had some unsavory run-ins with them in the past. And if they had captured either of the two, well, her fate would not have been much different. They might have been even more forceful, even more cruel. It didn't redeem what Dante had done, but it did put it in something of a new light and, by comparison, made him look a little better. Zelnath considered just resting some more, letting Dante and Mina each go off on their way. The grounds were not tiny, but there was a good chance she would see each of them in the future, though it was harder if all three of them would ever be in the same place again. That changed when she heard the noise, another one of them. With a grunt she forced herself up onto her legs. Dante moved fast, took care of the threat but was it really over? She was just glad he was getting rid of the bodies, hopefully getting help that could deal with this. “It isn’t safe here, we should move…you don’t have to ride, but we will see if it is better

Dante sat down, examining his legs as they felt rather jelly-like, but figured it was just his rather overzealous act that caused it, thinking it would most likely be back to normal soon. His ears perked at the sound of Mina appearing towards the centaur. He looked up but didn’t shift, simply watching the two of them converse. It was clear he was listening. His gaze drifted over his shoulder towards the dead poachers, thinking it would be a good idea to bring this to Lune’s attention back at the manor. No doubt she wanted to know about lingering threats, but she was also aware that he was doing what he could to keep the place safe.
