About Me
The name's Kaliko if you'd like to call me something and I've been around the role-playing block a long time. Started out on AOL back in the day and I'm in my late 30s now, so well over 15 years. I work as a restaurant manager and while my schedule is set by the month, the days/times I work changes from week to week. When I'm not working, I'm usually home on my PC or watching something on my TV. Video games and reading are two other big things I enjoy aside from role-playing. I'm otherwise enjoying the single life with my cats for company.
OOC Chatting
I don't mind this and am occasionally up for some general OOC chatting, though not every day. This also isn't required of anyone to RP with me, but I would like to be able to reach out if I have a question about a new post, your character, or even the story itself.
Private vs Public
Private role-plays are definitely preferred over public. It's not that I don't like public, I'm just very particular when it comes to finding a group to play with. I'm also not against doing a private role-play in a thread that can be viewed publicly for others to enjoy reading.
Story vs Smut
Writing is the name of the game for me and while I do enjoy the smut, it's the story that really drives me. Drama, character development, world-building, conflicts - these are what I'm after. The smut is an added bonus to make it nice and spicy. I just can't stand sex-only or there being a never-ending flow of smut no matter how light it is, even if it's just describing how some boobs are bouncing/jiggling in the midst of a battle. Just...no. If there's a fight going on, the main concern for any character should be on surviving/winning; however, there are exceptions to this like if a woman is fighting some evil guys and one of them's all like, "we're gonna have some fun with you when this is over" or if there's a man/woman pair and the woman does something cool and the guy's like, "fuck, that was hot" before refocusing on what he was doing.
To put this another way...I prefer a more classy or sophisticated feel to involving smut. It can still be lewd, but I enjoy the more tasteful variety.
Post Length & Descriptive/Detailed Posts
So this is a major contention with me... My posts are multi-paragraph, detailed and descriptive; they can get to a word count upwards of 1,500 or more. Not every post is like that, however, as I only write what I feel is necessary to respond with so some posts may be shorter. I also don't expect every one of my partner's posts to be that long. At the very least, I expect about a 300-400 word count, which is about half of a standard 8.5"x11" page.
I like to write about what my characters are thinking and feeling, the way they want to react compared to how they actually do. The mental and physical tolls on their bodies when in distress. Describing fights and just enough detail to tell how they're doing this or that. This is the same I want from my partner.
Third-Person Perspective
This is required! I do not enjoy first- or second-person (what even is that?). Everything that's going on is not happening to me - it's happening to my character who is a separate entity. So don't come to me with that "you" and "I" business in your posts. You will get one chance to change that. After that, I'm gone.
Original vs Canon
Original will be chosen over canon 99.9% of the time. Playing as or with canon characters is not fun for me because it gives me the sense that creativity is lacking. Also, if it's not a character of my own creation then I find it extremely difficult to enjoy a role-play. That is just how I roll and I will not apologize for it.
There are also very few established universes that I will even consider playing in. As of right now, The Division is the only one I'm interested in and only with a specific character/plot, which is listed in my thread.
Exceptions to this include pulling elements from established universes or using a CC's name or ability for your own character.
Kinks
Con, Dub-con, & Non-con/Rape
While I do enjoy all of these, I am someone who leans more towards non-con/rape with my characters and stories. Some were created with a specific idea in mind that involves them being such a victim. For others, it's more of a one- or two-time thing and no more or it's just a threat of it happening before they're rescued. In some cases it's only mentioned as something that happens to random NPCs that the main characters might hear of it happening.
Dub-con I like to use with non-con/rape as a character becomes more willing over time as their hope and resilience is broken down and they give in to the evil deeds of their captor.
BDSM - Dark & Real
Other than a few characters that I prefer a more vanilla experience for, BDSM is very much enjoyed and welcome for the others.
- Real BDSM - The correct way BDSM is done in the real world so it's safe and fun for everyone.
- Dark BDSM - Forced and imposed onto an unwilling character by another that gets enjoyment out of doing so.
Other Dark Themes
These are wholly desired to pair with non-con/rape.
Violence | Non-sexual Physical Torture | Debilitation | Desperation | Isolation | Sensory Assault | Spatiotemporal Disorientation | Abuse | Cigar/ette Burning | Roughness | Knife Play | Threats | Branding
**Not a full list. Just ones that came to mind.**
Bestiality
I'm not against it, but it's also not necessary. If it is included, my one rule is only dogs. Also, I'll only allow this with certain characters.
Realistic Sizes/Proportions
In relation to cock sizes and cum loads - I am not into anything that's absurdly unrealistic. Nothing over 10" for sure and that's already pushing the limit for me. Also, I'm not into there being bucket loads of cum. So please none of that. A little above average is fine as long as everything stays realistic.
Along the same note, I'm not going to play women with massive breasts that can barely be contained in whatever they're wearing.
The same rules also apply for a character's overall build. Keep to realistic proportions. Otherwise, it's a major turnoff.
