The Harvin were originally a group of agriculturalists inhabiting the fertile islands of the south seas. With the introduction of transmarine commerce, they soon found their way to the rest of the world via trade routes, and their own culture changed rapidly in the next generations. They are one of the less populous races but are well established throughout the region, though they remain averse to cold climates.

he Harvin are a race with pointed ears and short stature. Even an adult grows usually only the height of a Human child (90 cm on average). For this reason, people who do not know Harvin often treat them as children. The only exception to that are harvin with deep voices or beards and mustaches. The harvin race is also known for being physically weak, have a high affinity for magic... and that stairs are their mortal enemies. Many among them are also known for possessing highly developed and cunning intellects.

The Harvin place a great deal of significance on familial bonds, but are by no means unfriendly to outsiders. This is evidenced by the fact that they continue to share prosperous relations with all of the other races.

Background: Altia was born into the peak of nobility and is the current princess of the Velder region. The region itself is known for its rich mines, multiple harbor towns and wide open terrain, and unfortunately also a large amount of strong monsters. Velder has since dealt with this issue by itself, relying on the strength of its forces. But while it works, Altia has begun doubting that this will make her home prosper. Unlike her parents, she does not believe in the isolated system that their ancestors created. Wanting to find proof that kingdoms can benefit from each other, she set out to find proof for her theory.

Personality: Despite being a noble, Altia is more of a rebel at heart if she was honest. Unlike other nobles, she went out regularly to speak with the people and even do quests, trained herself physically despite this being her race's weak spot, and even learning how to do basic chores despite having servants for it. That isn't to say she is perfect at everything she does, but seeing the surprised smiles is what drives her. She has a kind soul and wishes for all those around her to be happy and well. But she isn't without her flaws.

Despite her age, she still has issues others would have gotten over sooner or later. One of which is her size. She is the type of person who wants to appear cool so others think of her as dependable, but being just under a meter tall does not help her with that when it comes in impressing other races. In her spare time she even practices poses and one liners in private. How effective those are entirely depend on timing and situation though. In addition to that, she might be an adult, but her appearance results in people mistaking her for a child on a regular basis, causing her to frown and sulk about it.
It also doesn't help her case that her favorite meals include spaghetti, hamburgers, and other more childish dishes.

Skill: If someone underestimates Altia just because she is small, they are about to get hurt. While she is more of a fighter than a caster, she herself can cast healing magic, her shield can create barriers, and her sword can shoot blade beams so long as she can provide mana.

Furthermore; By converting her mana into raw strength she is capable of wielding a massive sword taller and much heavier than herself, allowing her to cleave though monsters and metal armor alike, while remaining nimble at the same time. Her short size works in her favor as well since she is a way smaller target than post people and monsters are used to fight. It is to note though that this style only works for her because she is strong, and her blade heavy. Her damage comes from the momentum of her swings. So if unarmed, she lacks the weight to deal much damage.

At one occasion, a small fort was taken over by raiders. She considers it her personal record to have cut a 2 meter wide path through one of the 10 meter thick stone walls with a single swing of her sword.
