You enter a large sprawling room that looks like a library of sorts. Hpahazardly strewn about are dozens of bookshelves covered with works of various sizes. A strange, featureless librarian is sitting behind the table in the entrace, looking at you with an indecipherable look.
"Welcome to the Repertorium, dear Guest. Here, you can consult any number of stories that have been conjured by The Mind. If you wish to borrow a book or even mayhaps add one in our collection, please feel free to reach out to me anytime" the strange humanoid says in a monotonous voice.
Behind him, you start to notice the books with more details. You and him are the only living persons here, yet this library seems full of life. Books are moving on their own, some being written in under your eyes by invisible hands, some seemingly sleeping on the shelves.
You walk further in, browsing the chaotic arrangement of shelves around you. Some books are large, yet they keep floating and being written in endlessly, while some are small, almost single sheets, yet they sleep quietly on the shelves. You pick one up and quickly understand what is happening. Around you are all the stories conjured by The Mind, written and compiled. Stories that have reached their conclusions seem to sleep on the shelves, while stories that are still being written fly about, their pages filled every day a little more.
Then, you notice a section of the library named The Unborns. A large table with countless sheets spread out with about as much order as the rest of this place, all of them scribbles with notes, ideas, story elements that could potentially be used to create a new book. You peruse the selection...
RP Idea List:
1) To be happy in such a broken world
Deep within the enchanted woods, a decrepit old tower stands tall, resisting the inevitable decay of artificial structures despite having stood for millenias. Inside, An ageless being resides. They are as old as magic itself, and their sole purpose is, and has always been, to make this world as happy a place as can be. In the past, they fought wars against tyrants, made great changes that changed the course of history, but the more time passes, the more they realised that this didn't make the world a better place. It simply moved the problems around. So, they created a large forest to protect and isolate themselves, and chose to instead help select few individuals whose life seems lacking. This is where you/I come in. You/I are/am one of the lucky lost soul who were chosen by the being to set their life in order and make them happy again. No matter what it takes.
2) Upturned destiny
The year is 2027. Life is the same as we know it, until a sudden rift tears the very reality asunder. What once was considered fiction suddenly merged with our world, changing people, animals, plants, cities and entire continents. Races such as elves, dwarfs, goblins, orcs, and anything the mind can think of seems to have replaced those who once were mundane humans. In this new reality, people are scrambling to adapt and reach a new sort of balance. From regular day jobs to colossal monsters assaulting residential areas, the challenges that the inhabitants of this upturned world face are many and all more unexpected than the other. Who would you be in this strange world?
3) Eldritch awakening
Who knew that the unspeakable horrors that H.P. Lovecraft once imagined were real. And who would've thought that they had long since all perished, leaving behind offsprings who are mostly unaware of their own nature. And who could've guessed that you, a seemingly normal human, somehow ended up inheriting from your ancestry all the recessive genes once passed down by those unthinkable being, giving you strange powers that allow you to bend reality. Of course, you only discovered those powers by mistake during a particularly rowdy party where you got completely wasted, and of course you still have no idea how to really control them yet, but now, you wake up next to me, a once regular person you somehow turned into cat/dog/other-girl pet and made to be completely dependent on you for survival. How would you react? Would you choose to suppress these powers and focus on caring for your new unexpected partner, or would you delve deeper in, uncovering the secrets of your lost ancestry, no matter how it affects those around you?
4) In space, no one can hear whatever it is you're doing in there.
You/I were sent on what amount to a suicide mission out of the solar system. As the first human to ever reach such depths, your/my mission was simple: get cryogenically frozen, get sent out to the nearest solar system with a confirmed habitable planet, land and make as detailed of a report as you/I can which you would send back to earth via a very specific light signal pattern. Only, when you/I wake up, you/I realise you never reached your destination. Instead, your/my crude spacecraft was picked up by another alien vessel, and the owner of said vessel has thawed you/I in order to keep you/I as an exquisite pet of sorts, a partner to break the solitude of deep space. Out here, there is no such thing as an authority or moral compass. How would this already unbalanced relationship bloom?
And so many more yet to come...
