As long as Pam could remember ahe was infatuated with space and wished to explore it, with jump gate technology and advances in the design and user friendliness of space crafts making them as easy as driving a very large car, it was possible. Lucky for her too as Pam was never the brightest egg in the basket, scratch that shes just plain dumb and if the whole piloting thing was as hard as it used to be during the first boon of exploration, she probably wouldnt be able to set foot on a star ship. She began her adventure and through luck favoring idiots she bumbled through it with not even a scratch and saved her first moon, of course like any other starpilot worth their space salt she bragged and boasted about the deed and was noticed. See Pamela wasnt the best starpilot but she was marketable, so one short book deal later and almost everyone believed she was one of the best, a few more books about her adventures (and a few of them not her adventures but written as if they were) and she became the best starpilot and the most hated person in the starpilot community. How will her adventures continue, how will she fuck up but also some how save the day, lets find out together. 

Hey there I'm looking to do a scene inspired by old school cheesy sci fi, faser beams, tight jumpsuits, weird aliens and everything starts with space, quantum or any other sciency word to make it sound more futuristic. Heres some possible refs for Pamela, to some the most daring hero space has ever seen, and to others a plagiarizing bitch, in truth she would be a idiot who bought her fazer because it was so cute and it matched her outfit as well as being a bit of a slut. Guys who bring interesting ideas for the scene, setting or other such things, ask interesting questions that can develop the scene and flush it out or can play the dm roll of playing the characters around our intrepid hero, will get priority.
