Looking for a pet, who dreams about being hero (MxF, need an F)

A couple years ago, I had a really neat RP with someone who had an odd idea, that resonated with me so well that I wanna fucking do it again. But first! Let's set the stage. And regarding that, credit to Axelcha (no, not the same person I mentioned just now). His post gave me this starting idea, and I am using most of his post for the opener, with just slight modifications. Maybe check his idea out if this one doesn't flow your boat?

In the quaint village near the border of mighty empires, your character's life unfolded amidst simplicity. The community, sustained by agriculture and herbal trade, was her home. Despite her petite stature, she dreams of great feats, the romantic tale of an adventurer. Found as a baby in the nearby forest, she grew under the care of adoptive parents, becoming a part of the village.

As the autumn festival preparations buzzed in the town square, her tranquil world shattered. Awakened by a gruff voice, her father handed her a bag with supplies, urging her to flee. The ominous news revealed the empire's wrath, demanding her as an offering to a nefarious prince. With no time to comprehend the gravity, she found herself running, escaping the village in chaos.

Chased by the relentless imperial enforcers, she could head only one way. The border. She would only be safe if she made it through the gate there. She reached the river, panting, and waded across, leaving her home and the pursuers behind. Emerging into another forest, she continued running, driven by the unknown but determined to evade the clutches of a fate she had never imagined. But suddenly, the sound of hooves. They... They were coming towards her. In the distance, shining armor on horseback, and it was coming right after her.

Shock set in. This was it. She would never be able to outrun a horse. What... what was going to happen to her? A new sound?! Something shot through the air from behind her. Small, bright. Like a silver arrow, and lodged itself into the helm of the knight. A knife? With the sound of clanking metal, he fell at her side while the horse made no stop, vanishing into the forest. And behind her, calm steps... and a voice. "So... Where do I even start?"

My character would act as her guardian going forward, but for a price. He would keep her safe, and take care of her wellbeing, if she in turn would be his pet. No abuse, no chains. But as he would put it, she would be his toy, his source for amusement on occasion. What else does she have to offer after all? My character is not a hero, and would know just how desperate her situation is, and how to exploit such a rare occasion. Would she have a choice to refuse? Absolutely. But what of her village? What of her parents? If those still could be saved, this man, who killed a knight with nothing but a throw of a knife, was her only chance of doing so.

Theme wise, I would like your character to act as the moral compass of my character. Would demonstrate impossible levels of strength for someone his stature, and hint that he has many abilities. But he is also very casual, dramatic for comedic effect, arrogant. As if it all is just a game for him. But he is also aware of that, and hence would listen to your character. And as for the hero part: He would make her strong if she wishes for it. If not, she would simply be his assistant.
