  • I can't help the feeling that this site is at least 99% men.  Lol, sorry.  Maybe I shouldn't say stuff like that but I just cannot help that feeling!  If you truly are a real female, please message me!

If you think there actually are a lot of girls on here, feel free to say so!  That would be fantastic!  Call it an inkling, but I tend to think if you make a site all about sex, mostly men are going to show up for that!  Lol.  I hope it isn't too wack for me to say something like that.  Hopefully I'd be wrong but honestly I kinda doubt it!  I just was not born yesterday!

I'm extremely hesitant to narrow down this search more in any way so please forgive the extreme vagueness of this.  I feel like asking for real females to actually sexually roleplay with my boyish self is already a lot to ask.  I would first like to test the assertion that I can find any actual female to actually roleplay with me at all, without any further constraints.  That said if you do message me, I will probably be more open about my kinks in private!  Then again maybe not!  Lol.

Does a person's real life gender matter? As long as they can and will roleplay females, isn't that what matters?

My answer to that question is that their real life gender does matter to me.

I think the simple answer would be something like...if I'm a straight guy, why would I be interested in connecting in an intimate way with another man?  That just doesn't interest me.

But you are not engaging in intimate ways with a man...unless you are seeking actual real life hook-ups.

You do know that fictional characters are not actually real....right? Like...a woman could play a man as well, but that doesn't mean their partner needs to be into females.

Of course the fictional characters are not real, but the mental and emotional connection that you're forming with the other roleplayer is.

You have not disclosed your own gender, age or anything on your own profile.

Besides: Do you have any idea how pathetic, needy and weird this all sounds?

So you basically want people to prove to you that they are females in real life...as if you get people to do that to some sort of stranger who act this much like a closet faggot? xD

As a female pansexual I find this insulting that you see this site as a meat market.

This site isn't just about sexual content. It is about people sharing interests and writing with each other. I don't really ERP on here. I mostly socialise with the friendly members here and have a good time. I will probably write again in my own time but I won't care who I write with.

The gender of your writing partner shouldn't matter when you are just enjoying writing. (Which is what most of the people here basically do)

Well perhaps my perception of what this site is does differ from reality.  I mean, I did just get here.  That said, it is ecchi dreams, and I'm enough of an anime nerd to know what ecchi means.  And I do believe it is sexual in nature.  So why shouldn't I expect the site to be mostly centered on sexual things?

I personally love all sorts of roleplays: both sexual and the non-sexual ones. Saying that men come to the site almost exclusive to do erotic roleplays is kind of assuming you speak for most of them in some sort of way.

For a member to purely want smutty RPs is of course completely allright and up to them, but you shouldn't really think you speak for anyone else here. I have plenty of non-erotic scenes and RPs with various partners.

Maybe you should browse the site and get to know the users before making judgments and forming expectations?

I have been on other rp sites that cater to other themes but always look around before judging things. I look at how people socialise with one another to see if they just want to ERP or are looking to get to know the person behind the screen. More often than not I find the latter much better because then I don't feel pressured into doing something that is expected of me.

I will also ask why are so focused on the gender of the person on the other side? Are you worried that you'll tug one out to something someone of the same gender has written with your or is it something else? I am honestly curious because surely gender shouldn't matter if you just want to enjoy writing.

Listen, I'm not here to defend what I'm interested in or why I'm interested in it.  The purpose of this post was to find females that want to RP with me.  If that's against the rules by all means enlighten me.  If it isn't, please either roleplay with me or don't but I'm not going to argue anymore.

I roleplay as females, dickgirls or males. So it depends on if you think someone owes to prove their real life gender to you or not.

So you can't fap to hentai drawn by a man? Because that is basically your argument here.

EcchiDreams is not a dating site by any means, so there is absolutely no verification for anybody's real-world gender nor is there any purpose to concern ourselves with such things. If someone claims to be a girl, for all intents and purposes, they're a girl. You'll never know the difference either way, especially considering any nude images involving real-world people is against our ToS. So no, you're not going to be receiving any nudes or anything of the sort. This shouldn't become an issue unless you do end up becoming intimately involved (heavily discouraged) with another dreamer.

Long story short, there is absolutely no way you can get anybody on this site to "prove" to you that they're female without breaking our ToS and potentially getting yourself reported, so I'd give up on that avenue entirely.

That aside, while we don't have any rules against offensive language, I'd like to ask that we please refrain from brainlessly spouting slurs like sixth graders. We're all adults here, you aren't impressing anyone.

Man, honestly I'm beginning to think coming onto this site was a mistake.  Pretty sad that a guy can't even come on here and ask for a female roleplayer to roleplay with.  That's all I asked for.  And all I've gotten in return is argument and general mean-spiritedness.  I'm stuck at home all day and even I have better things to do than argue on the internet.

You say there's no reason to concern oneself with the gender of the person you're roleplaying with.  First of all, really?  Is that really how most people feel?  And even if it is, is it against the rules for me to have a preference in that regard?  Or does it just offend people's sensibilities?  If it's the latter can I ask you to just spend time doing things you actually enjoy rather than coming in here to try to ruin my fun?

    Posted

Oh by the way, I never said or vaguely implied that I intended to use this as a dating site.  What made you think that I did?  The fact that I would prefer a female roleplayer to roleplay with?  You are really jumping to conclusions if that's what you got out of what I've said.  You guys are bringing up so many things that I never even talked about in the first place.

Well, that is the problem with your whole thread though? I mean, exactly what are you expecting from people here? You created a post where you ask people that are real girls to rp with you. This isn't a problem, in fact I think everyone should respect your wishes. The problem is that your post is rather pointless.

It's because knowing a person's real-life gender while RPing is completely unnecessary unless you plan to act inappropriately and hit on them or otherwise make them uncomfortable.  It's a huge, massive, red flag that suggests you can't separate fantasy and reality and/or plan to hit on and say lewd things to the other person and have to make sure that you're not hitting on the opposite gender.

Are all porn directors female?  Are all hentai artists woman?  No, and I bet most of them are men.  But you probably read and watch their stuff, no?  It's the same with RPing.  You're not having sex with the writer/artist/director, you're consuming their content.  It's very different.

You can have your preference, but just be aware that when you're on a site that's focused on creating fun and sexy story and not on having cyber-sex, your preference is a red flag.  Maybe that's where you're having problems?  Maybe you need to find a site that's about having cyber-sex and not about writing sexy stories.

Quite frankly, I haven't read up on the rest of the discussion here. I just saw something about proof of gender or whatever and decided to comment on that.

Being so openly distrusting about the entire community around you like this, though, is not a good look. You've openly insulted every woman on this site by implying that they're probably men pretending to be women. I don't know how you can expect a positive response from any woman with a claim like that. I suggest reconsidering your approach altogether, but that's ultimately your choice.

Edit: For the record, yes, we do have women on the site. One of those women happens to share ownership of the site.

Since I seem to offend everyone on here maybe I'll just leave.

It is less about simplicity and more about being both unreasonable and unrealistic. No one owes telling you their real gender.

    Please tell us this:
How do you aim to be sure someone is really female?

Ok I thought maybe you could take a hint but I guess not.  Please cease and desist all talking to me.  If you continue this will become harassment, if it isn't already.  And harassment is against the ToS.

It's a public thread.  Anyone has a right to respond here.  If you don't want to read people's responses, then just block them.  Furthermore, it's not harassment if the responses are polite and civil.  No one has attacked you or insulted you, merely called you out on your post.  To be perfectly honest with you, I think it has less to do with your preference for female roleplayers and a lot more to do with how you've presented yourself and your word choices.

You come onto a new site and immediately insult the community by blatantly stating that all of the members must be men because why would women enjoy anything erotic.  To be honest, you probably could have just left it at, "In my experience, most people on these sites tend to be men." but instead you drive the point home over and over and laugh about it which comes across as not only judgmental but rather stuck-up.  You then challenge the female members of the site to prove to you that they're not men, which is not only another insult, but comes across as manipulative.

I mean, at this point you could just realize that you've struck a nerve and offended people without meaning to and if this wasn't your intent, then a simple apology would be the right move.
