Lovecraftian investigation duo [NO SMUT]

So I have been craving myself some more horror and investigation themed roleplays lately.

The overall idea is a duo who somehow gets introduced to the horrific Mythos of Lovecraftian horror, then trying to solve multiple mysteries whilst avoiding death and insanity.
In all simplicity, this is the kind of thing I am seeking overall.

We can even discuss having the two be people who travel to various time periods - many things are possible.

It will be mostly focused on them working together as a team.
