Justice The Justice tarot card is a symbol of truth, fairness, and law. Also, since I had no idea what kind of world I wanted to play in, I used Mythic to generate 2 civilization descriptions: Fearful, and Religious. and then went to the genre wheel to pick a genre where I ended up with... Western. So... a western setting in a town that's fearful and religious, and in the past I was represented by Justice, truth, fairness, and law. Sounds a bit too much like real life to me lol Let's see what I can do with that.

The Hermit IX - The Hermit : The Hermit has associations with solitude, contemplation, and self-reflection. It is symbolic of leaving the voices of the world behind and finding stillness and silence enough to hear one's inner voice speak. He lights the way ahead by his own lantern, looking to no star or sign to guide his path. when you are ready take a deep breath and wake up

Introduction I am playing through the story of a young woman who wakes with amnesia in a small medical center in eastern Kentucky. After a severe flood, she was found unconscious with head trauma near the edge of the woods and brought here by a local who happened to be passing by. The circumstances (after a flood) were randomly generated, the location was randomly chosen from a list based on data suggesting areas with high likelihood of flooding. I want her to be "someone special", perhaps a magical girl, a secret agent, an alien, a government experiment... I want her to have been escaping from something or on a mission or... well, something interesting. I want a pas…

Creation Myths is a solo journeying game (the author's subtitle, not mine) by gothHoblin and available on itch.io. What it really is is a character back story generator. Before beginning play it is important (though not explicitly defined in the rules) that you have some idea of what kind of a setting the character belongs to. There are several "modes" of game play described at the beginning of the book and while it was my intent to use just the base rules, the Goblin Mode that adds a collection to the creation story is too tasty to not use. Inspired by the Cortex game I bowed out of when game creation steered a direction that didn't appeal to me, I returned to the s…

I discovered this little game called Lewd Adventures. The idea is that you're a female adventurer in a fantasy world adventuring around. During your encounters you can win by seducing and having sex with your enemies. It sounded right up my alley. The rules are a bit of a jumble and overly complicated, and look like they were written by a guy who came from an AD&D 2.0 background, or really any game where every single little thing has a bonus that applies to rolls and frankly, it's a bit much. In fact, the further into the rules I read, the more I just wanted to slap the author with a big, bare boob to get his attention (with my +2 tit-bonus) and reel in his exce…

I went ahead and started this this evening, I confess I had not read anything more than the description at itch.io before I began this play-through, so special thanks go to @IsabellaRose for accepting the challenge and prompting me to get something played. A word about the seemingly cryptic title of this topic. Anamnesis begins with drawing a Major Arcana as a Shadow that represents who you were before your memory loss. I drew The Chariot: discipline, focus, success, progress. If anyone else post an Anamnesis report, please let us know what your Shadow was. A couple of notes: the game uses a Tarot deck as a randomizer - common enough in the journaling game space…
