Tokyorose627 Posted January 7 Posted January 7 (edited) Name: Aoi Arakawa Race: Human (Magical Knight) Alias (primarily for Magical Girls/Knights): Chevalier Gender: Male Age: 17 Hair & Eyes: Seafoam Green-Blue Short Bio: Aoi Arakawa would be someone you would call, "stoic". Despite his young age, the younger of the Arakawa brothers in fact, Aoi has been told by many, both in person and behind closed doors, that he's far more mature than those his age. With his parents unknown to both him and his older brother, Souji, the brothers had a tough time growing up within an orphanage with many other children. They had very little, but Aoi's older brother always tried his hardest to provide for the two growing up, despite the burden and the struggle of being on their own. Being bullied as a child for his and Souji's situation, and Aoi's shyness and high-pitched voice compared to other boys his age, the young orphan usually found himself alone during his free time, reading stories of brave heroes, and listening and singing to songs that brought his imagination to life. Hiding his interests and feelings from others around him, Aoi became more quiet as he grew older, only really speaking to others if needed, which he at times made sure was the case. Caging his heart away from getting hurt, he became more focused on what he wanted his future for him and his brother would be like, and deciding he wanted to forge his own path, he began finding ways to help provide for the two. It wasn't until he was around 13 years old that a opportunity was brought forth to him by one of Souji's work associates with the job he did; a manager of sorts for some entertainment company. Unbeknownst to Aoi, his older brother had slipped his manager friend a copy of some songs that Aoi had sung for practice, and the company wanted him. Although a bit annoyed that Souji had sent it without him knowing, Aoi took the offer. His life changed after that decision. Word of mouth and marketing of Aoi's unique singing voice brought him to the forefront of articles and forums on the internet. Along with his relation to his brother, who had a reputation of his own, people became more curious to know more about the younger Arakawa brother. At the age of 14, he was titled "The Angelic Prince" by many of his fans and admirers for his voice, as well as his princely demeanor he gives on stage, giving contrast to his more stoic and cool attitude in public. With a true love of singing, Aoi continued to work hard towards his goals, becoming a name that has become recognizable, and being able to provide for himself and his brother. Though, since Aoi's rise in popularity, he's found that he's unknowingly eclipsed his older brother in popularity, something he wasn't expecting when he started his career in singing. While many opportunities have come from it, so unfortunately, have those that have wanted to use him for their own personal means. There have been those that have tried to get more out of Aoi; fans that think more of him, people that bullied him in the past looking for something, people that think he hasn't deserved what he's worked hard for. Aoi's dismissive and indifferent personality isn't all of who he is, but the world around him, and the people that have tried to use him, made him the way he is today. A young man that wants the best for himself and his brother, to be able to live peacefully and without regret, has become Aoi's way of life; even if Souji gets on his nerves at times with his teasing.
