Been encounter a few (outside of ED thankfully), also been accused of this myself here (wild ride i tell you), I would like to add that if this happen to you exclusively on ED... Use report feature and tell the admin/moderator what's up right away and let them handle things from there. Don't rant on status, don't waste your time invading everyone DM telling them to not RP or made contact with the suspected catfish, don't spread unnecessary flame to everyone beard on ED Discord either because that's outside the ED jurisdiction, don't ever think for a seconds you're a great problem solver by thinking you can solve this matter yourself when

The actual policy has been voted on, and passed unanimously. It's now in the Terms of Service (Section 18, Sub-Section 1) but as per the article, it's implementation doesn't start until June 24th 2023, so you have time to still start moving things around.
