It’s a good question, one I thought about some today, but did not come up with a good answer. Have been rather flexible with the settling, for the most part allowing people to do what they want. I can see the argument both ways for whether or not the mother is actually death. As for the library, the goal really is to see whether or not they can find anything that will help Shinigami find acceptance, which may or may not include information about the mother. Or they could look for other help, if they want to try praying to Maxim. It’s not impossible they could some form of help or another from there. -
