Short Story: Laura Blackfyre, was born in the depth of the shadow lands not far from Reithwin Town, under the cover of a dense forest where the throngs of vegetation prevented even the most enduring adventurers from exploring the dark cervices. Within the shadow lands there is no sun but only the twilight moon, the light of which could barely reach the decaying grass, not enough to warm the ruins of forts and castles that remained behind the cataclysm left by the conflict the gods unleashed on the world. From birth she was infused with the magic of the land, unnatural and volatile, resulting in malformations her parents found disgusting and impossible to love, leaving her in the care of the accursed shadows that roamed the profaned town. Eventually falling in the hands of a Lolth sworn drow party exploring the uncharted territory. Taken as a child in the deepest parts of the underdark she was taken as a young slave under a forgiving scholar that named her "Mez'Barris", a drow name in origin, as the master began to see her as more than a simple tool for their day to day duties. With time under the guiding hand of her drow's owner she harnessed the magic within her and become an aspiring witch, knowledge in the esoteric and the arts of the unseen for her magical affinity was beyond what most would have seen. Despite such she could do nothing but extend the life of her master, outliving all those she met, resulting in a self exile within the enchanted forests near human settlements where to this day she inhabits. Her hair is purple and relatively long, her bangs going down over her shoulder complimenting her oval face shape.
