  1. yeah, hence "heard word of". Also, where could my character go I wonder?
  2. Huh, that's weird. In my last session I had to pick a target to provoke. I guess it's just a thing that was up to intepreting or modifying rules.
  3. Oh yeah, I love Natural Fantasy! Let's do that! Maybe the world has all three exist to some degree as a backdrop (to expand character origin potential) but our characters only really like explore one type throughout. You know, have at least one or two talk about how this side of the world is so different from what they're used to. My last Fabula Ultima thingy had me play a Guardian-Fighter so that I could do a classy ol tank taunt (taunting is super costly for what it is holy crap) so I wonder if I should reprise that or run with something new. Let's just say taunting was a key part of her character.
  4. Natural Fantasy is generally stuff like...
  5. Woah, just in time for me to submit Rh'salk's application. I was actually going to draw her and her partner prior to this, but I usually need some time. I will still draw her later though. Since I loosely based her on MGE's Sahuagin, should I give her the big fishy arms and legs, or keep them more dainty and human proportioned? Maybe later I'll work on my next character, perhaps someone who fled here to escape the WW2 since he heard it was coming? This one's a regular human naturally.
  6. Name: Rh'salk Age: ??? Gender: Female Country: ??? Appearance: Rh'salk stands at 140 centimetres tall. She has pale skin that while within human skin tone ranges, is a bit on the greyish, sickly side. Her chest is completely flat, with her neck and ribs being decorated by gill slits. Her facial features consist of a mouth with serrated teeth, part of her incomplete metamorphosis, and blank white eyes, also part of her incomplete metamorphosis. Other traits include her ears being fins and fins growing from her arms, legs and such. In terms of an outfit, she is completely naked, though her long, frizzled seaweed-hued hair covers her. She also has a Shoggoth she is allied with, appearing as a bubbling mass. It is unclear whether it is her pet/familiar or it is something of an ally, but it does work with her. This Shoggoth is advanced enough to assume the form of humans and other organic beings, like a Shoggoth Lord, but it cannot replicate clothing. Bio: The Deep Ones demand humans from settlements to breed with. Some of these resulting hybrids are returned to civilization in order to spread the word once they are ready, and others remain with the Deep Ones to mature. Rh'salk is one such, albeit due to circumstances, she could never truly complete her metamorphosis. As a bridge between humanity and the Deep Ones, she often sneaks onto land, using her abilities to telepathically commune with Deep One hybrids even before they show the first signs of awakening, allowing metamorphosis to come a lot sooner. 7. I learned Fabula Ultima like, 5 to 6 months ago for someone else's RP. I can't deny that I will be rusty, since I rarely do system if ever.
  8. Making those applications now. My current idea is that my Deep One hybrid character is in cahoots with the Deep Ones, maybe she'll decieve and pull other characters in, so she's part of the town's mysteries and an insider of sorts. Or would you rather have a character who is turning into a Deep One against her will, thus making her a victim of the town's mysteries and someone who's investigating them for her own benefit?
  9. Sounds like there's at least two peeps who want to move in the swords & sorcery direction. If I do go that route, I wonder if I should maintain the whole dragon origin of how they manifest from people's beliefs/emerge from normal beasts through magical means, or if I should just let them be dragons as is - hatching from big eggs as per usual. (From there, I was thinking that dragons turned from humans would be rare and the most powerful, seeing how dragons emerge from human belief -> human believes whatever -> gains unlimited power) Heck, I was thinking of having actual dragonstones (which with our modern knowledge we know are just ammonite fossils) play some kind of role, be it as a catalyst for enhancing or improving magical abilities and/or allowing one to gain the traits of a dragon. And from there I'd have a non-player character who was the will of many dragonstones whose dragon form was basically just a giant ammonite.
  10. That's great! I'll work on my two characters when I can! Speaking of, what kind of people usually come to this place? Would the wealthy come here or are these mostly middle-class/lower-class zones?
  11. I'll think about my options then. Is it alright to have two characters?
  12. Couple of questions: How many characters per person? Am I allowed to play something akin to a Deep One, or even a Deep One/human hybrid who has a little more human in her traits?
  13. Well, Mahoiku does have two... ... granted, one's a bit below the ground after hitting the ground. I'll think through things either way, but I do have a character concept in mind.
  14. I'm still deciding on things regarding this roleplay, but here's what I'm planning thus far: Concrete lore and plans: Dragons do not hatch from eggs as dragons. Instead, they are sprouted from animals or in rare cases humans who have been exposed to a special type of magic that works on the belief of sentient beings. It is humanity's dwindling belief in myths and legends that have caused a reduction in new dragons being created, though the weaker collective belief has caused a "halfway" point of sorts, where a creature that was believed to be able to emerge into a dragon may obtain a small amount of dragon capabilities (including shapeshifting into a human form), but cannot fully graduate into a dragon in form. Dragons are not traditionally male or female, but may identify as such. Dragons have the ability to assume human form. They can assume male forms and female forms alike. Dragons, especially those who were never human do not have a sense of shame, thus they don't really bother with human clothing in human form unless pushed to. Things I'm still deciding on: The era + setting: Modern era, where it's set in a more rural or countryside/secluded part? The past of our world, maybe? If so, the Eastern areas, or the more Western ones? Fantasy setting complete with sword and sorcery? (Will likely alter how dragons are formed a little bit)
  15. Here we discuss things and stuff about the roleplay.
  16. May I have a character who is originally male, but having a magical girl contract turned him into a magical girl? Or is this generally just something that doesn't happen in the setting?
