Well, issues remain that I am more of a yuri writer so this might not involve quite a lot of things going on. And I wouldn't want to go against the club's theme. -

Me still wondering if I should include my characters (Furry or whatever) in this club or not. Bastet still needs to find a place somewhere. But not sure... -
Shinigami's Manor. (Shinigami's Entry)
Warning replied to Warning's topic in A World of Magic(al Girls)'s Story Topics
Mitsuko's eyes widened in surprise when the form appeared before them. A god or a half god was there before them. If Shinigami counted for anything, it was not the first time but this one was real in the eyes of those who worshiped him, as Jumi pointed out soon enough. This divine meeting was still impressive for someone like Mitsuko who, not long ago, was still only a girl who knew nothing more than what she had studied hard. At least, this man did not seem to take Jumi's comment wrongly, proceeding to explain why things were as they were. A retired god, he said he was. Umi and the others at the temple had inherited their powers, if she understood correctly. She could not help but be amazed by what she heard. Still, as the man observed, their reason for being there was none other than Shinigami herself. Mitsuko braced herself but listened with an open mind. Whether she liked it or not, the fox was still as he said. Nevertheless, did he possibly see who this girl naming herself Death was? It sounded like he had seen what had happened between the three of them, at least. A part of it made her blush but she focused on the issue at hand. "I remember the feeling that she gave everyone before we meet her... She wanted us to be afraid of her but she didn't hurt us when she could have. At the end, she even protected us. A friend of ours even healed her when she was hurt... I think there is hope.", she said, knowing she sounded naive. Jumi had followed her into her folly and Nymphia, who was brought in by the diamond sorceress, complied with helping Shinigami without fear or judgement. In fact, Alexandrine herself had helped them despite the risks involved after the events of the convention. The sorceress could easily have chosen to eliminate her while she was weak and defenseless. Mitsuko hoped that this was a sign of something good to come. There was no denying that conflicts may still spark and they would find enemies among magical girls and knights, though. "Can you do anything...?", the valkyrie then asked, knowing that he might not be able to change how people saw the daughter of death but he might still be able to help them. -
Maybe I am overthinking. I just have to remember that she is the embodiment of the deathly hallows. She is a/the daughter of Death. Who IS death though...? dun dun duuun. But yeah. She probably has multiple titles aka demon, monster, abomination, heretic, enemy. Umi not detecting her "as a demon" can just really be interpreted as "Not a demon like Hellhound or Zorn" or the likes. I know I just feel a bit insecure but I like what I've done with her so far. It's good to know that you're fine with her. I'm really enjoying her myself. With the way she is perceived by all other characters, though, I don't think "demon" fits quite right but everyone from Mitsuko, Jumi, Nymphia, Diamond Sorceress, Umi, Nall?, etc, seem to have a fun way to see her as a beast girl of sort who definitely feels out of place among humans but don't necessarily hate her right off. There WILL be characters who will because of her nature but it still has been fun to see the way she is being seen. It's fine to be cautious (Jumi) but also exploratory (Mitsuko) with her. It's character development.

@SataiRolePlayingGuy Sorry to insist, Satai. Since you're my partner in this and you're directly connected to her, I'd like to hear from you what you think. I know your time is limited so take your time but I'd like to know what you think about this. I'm just not sure what to think of it on my own. I probably worry for nothing because it's not a territory I go on often. (I've had other dark beasts who were not in any ways a demon so there's that.) so maybe I'm just overthinking. She might just be like "Death" (or less) in puss in boots or something.

Honestly, not much has been done, despite appearances. You can make a magical girl or knight, or a villain. The world is in continuity so you can just appear whenever. Like, if I bring a new character, they will appear in a scene when it makes sense. (It's not about new or old roleplayer.) There are no "levels". So power level isn't an issue. In short, make a character and we can see where they fit. Some characters are in standby so there's always a possibility here or there for something to happen. I have like 2 or so in standby myself, waiting for a place in the story. There is always a chance some "active" characters meet with other ones as well. So yeah, it should be alright. P.S.: Characters do grow stronger but again, it should not be too much of an issue to introduce a new character who may be newer at this or not. (I did exactly that with Mitsuko), she is fresh new at this in a world that's pretty dangerous for her. Teams can mix up new and old and help each others. I think the story is friendly on that side.

I just realized something. I left Shinigami's "race" in her bio as "Fox demon" but with an interrogation mark. I'll be honest, it has been haunting me for days. I dunno what the correct term for what I try to with her is. And if I am making a mistake by trying to avoid the demon thing or not. I know I spoke about her a lot above but I'm really not sure about how to define her. A part of me tries to see her like a kami of sort. (A goddess, in short?). I know for a fact she doesn't really have a place in hell. She doesn't have minions, she doesn't corrupt. Her main thing is basically death. And darkness or void. I checked deathnote by example and the creature there might be called demon but they are also know as extra-dimensional beings. So what exactly defines a demon in this story's sense? So far, it seems to be hell-born creatures like hellhound, possibly Micori, succubus, horned creatures, typical fire-based monsters. Loona is herself a kind of hellhound, which makes sense. Bunny man is also a creature from hell by lore. So is Shinigami a "demon" by definition and just not a hell born one...? Shinigami is basically born by death (if the thing about souls sticks.), she was created, born or awakened by a ritual (Just not really a satanic one). I am still unsure about the details because I care about her more than about how she was made. But yeah, it gives me a bit of anxiety because as much as I love her, I'm really afraid to go the wrong route with the way putting her in the story. Any opinions would really be nice. If I must correct something about her, I will. I just want to stop myself from having doubts every times I think about what she is.

Shinigami's Manor. (Shinigami's Entry)
Warning replied to Warning's topic in A World of Magic(al Girls)'s Story Topics
Mitsuko took a good look around while listening to Jumi. The last part of it made her furrow her brows, wondering if she was being tested. If there was truth to what she was told, how far would she go to defend Shinigami? A beast of death who, according to few, was not really a demon but a creature of death, darkness and void. Her being a demon or not maybe didn't matter when the truth did not sound exactly good for humanity either. Still, whatever the fox was, she may have given a villain vibe at first but she did not seek to actively hurt them yet, not after their time at the manor. Mitsuko wanted to give her a chance. Jumi remained at her side as well, despite everything. That was all she needed to keep going. Seeing Jumi play curiously with her clothes made Mitsuko finally take a look at them more closely. Or at herself, in general. Her wings felt right in this place, like they were magically part of her. The light on her body didn't look bad but it felt like it was there for appearance. She definitely felt naked, otherwise. Thanks to her previous episodes, she would not mind if she was seen naked by whoever brought her to this place. Mitsuko was certain that whatever threat she had heard about would not be found here. Appearances may be deceiving but she wanted to believe that nothing would harm her, sexually or by any other means. If she was wrong then Jumi would be there with her... Right now, she was more excited. -

Shinigami's Manor. (Shinigami's Entry)
Warning replied to Warning's topic in A World of Magic(al Girls)'s Story Topics
Shinigami and Nall watched for now but the glow only seemed to annoy her a little. Mitsuko felt at peace though and she didn't look like she was in danger but something in the fox made her feel slightly concerned against her will. The explanation from Uni made her more aware and cautious but Nall, on her shoulder, just looked amazed like this situation did not mean anything harmful. The twerp was not just any beast after all... Maybe he had experiences with the light side of things but her own universe was darkness and void. Giving off a sigh, she stayed still and remained calm. Certainly, she didn't have to enter the room if gods were to notice her. If they were merciful enough, they would not hurt her either. Not having much time to really notice Jumi, Mitsuko felt the flash of light as well. She did not really worry, even if that feeling was completely new. At first, she had not realized that Jumi had went through the same thing. She was floating... Her wings spreading behind her back but a familiar feeling of nakedness and yet, not completely. In her eyes, she thought that she had been teleported to this place. She didn't really understand the concept of this place just yet. "Oh Jumi, you're here too. Where are we? And why are we, um, like this?", she asked, not really minding her state but she looked around, trying to understand where they were. Shinigami probably could not start to understand what was really happening. Even Nall didn't really have any idea. The concept of how gods communicated with humans were many. He was not new to statues of gods or goddesses holding a certain power, though. He was the least worried of the two, feeling like it was best to obey Shinigami for now and not disturb the two. Only Umi really seemed to be aware of what was happening. Nall could easily take a guess but from behind, it was hard to tell. The only thing he was curious about was what Umi had told the fox. Would they talk to her? He could hardly imagine Shinigami meeting with Althena but maybe these gods would be fair to her, as she probably would be. For now, he smiled as he witnessed and watched what might happen. -

Mitsuko waited, with a sort of smile. She was exactly thinking about sending further prayers, assuming that it was enough but her eyes watched around, unaware of what Jumi had prayed about. What Umi said only managed to get her a little excited, without really expecting anything. Shinigami's case was a difficult one but she was still hopeful. Her trust in Jumi made her wish that, whatever she had prayed about, her prayers would also come true. Their coming there to this altar at least felt more comforting than the experience at the library. There was something positive and wishful about what was going on and the valkyrie hoped to see more of it. She was still nervous, in case a god or demi god would appear. Shinigami, however, wasn't sure what to feel about what was going on. Unless evident to all, she probably could not feel the energy going on but she still was not sure if she trusted what might happen. In most cases, she was still an enemy of humans. Maybe not a demon but still a dark force that, originally, didn't mean anything good for humanity. Right now, though, whatever she represented might still be judged by gods yet unknown to her. Shinigami kept her distance for now but watched curiously until something made her ear twitch. A flapping sound that came closer and closer. Looking back, she saw a familiar figure heading toward her. Nall finally showed up after a while, apparently having found them. "Hey~", the small voice squeaked but Shinigami was quick to grab and glare at him. "Shut up, you twerp... Don't you see that they are busy?", she snarled quietly. Nall only whimpered, already not wanting to provoke Shinigami but he still couldn't help but pout about the accusations. "Where were you anyway? I thought you would go and help find something useful...", the fox queried, especially as Nall only just appeared now, of all times. Nall still pouted, looking away while stuck in her grasp, "I may have taken a nap.", he only admitted, making Shinigami sigh and let go. "You stay here...", she said to him, but Nall boldly perched himself on her shoulder, watching toward the girls. If he had to stay, he would sit. -

Mitsuko followed closely to her friend and, like a guest to someone's home, she simply did the same as Jumi did. Shinigami, for herself, leaned against a wall and observed quietly, not judging or anything. Only a glimpse of curiosity shone in her eyes, wondering what this would be about. Once Umi came closer to offer advice, Mitsuko listened carefully. Honest prayers... She was free to ask for anything, even if it might not bring any answers. She was not sure if she could see it like making a wish but gods probably did not work like that. There was much that she could pray for, if she were to do that. Her life was changing but so was her safety. But right now? She was not really worried about her own safety. Mitsuko really had an idea in mind. She was thankful for meeting with Jumi and other magical girls but she was not worried about them. She could ask about Lenneth but perhaps now was not the time for this. The only one who nobody would pray for yet perhaps needed it the most... That was who Mitsuko thought about right now. Closing her eyes, she started praying with all of her heart. Please, give her a chance. Whether Shinigami is a goddess or death or not, she really is trying even if in her own way. She is learning that humans can be friends, too... Once done, Mitsuko opened her eyes, shifting her gaze to the fox who just waited, respectfully giving them space and time. What Mitsuko saw was hope. -
Shinigami's Manor. (Shinigami's Entry)
Warning replied to Warning's topic in A World of Magic(al Girls)'s Story Topics
Mitsuko followed quietly for the moment, curious about what Shinigami was thinking but if she decided to cooperate then perhaps it could facilitate her inclusion among them. The warping gate show did not last too long, as it seemed like nothing but an example so Umi saw on her own. This kind of power, while she did not see it for the first time, still made her wonder what kind of power and magic other magical girls and their enemies had. She did not quite have the chance to see much of Jumi's yet but with the popularity of some of the magical girls and knights, Mitsuko had seen some of what she might expect and even then, she felt like she barely saw anything yet, added to what she saw of Nymphia. Shinigami, on her side, listened to Umi with attention. Perhaps, she tried to analyze her as well while she had the opportunity. A test to see if she could trust her or her kind. She already had her reasons to believe the loyalty of Jumi and Mitsuko but she could hardly be blamed for being cautious. Still, for the moment, she appeared to be satisfied. "Alright, then... Before we leave, I might leave myself to you. I want to see what happens at that altar as well.", she said at last with half of a grin. The gemmed door in question made her look cautiously but otherwise, the fox kept quiet as the door was opened for the party. She would soon find out about what gods the humans venerated. Maybe along with answers. Mitsuko herself looked impressed with the sight. It was like stepping in some highly place in some sort of game but it was as real as she saw it. With what she was hearing about gods or demi gods, and to learn about who Maxim was, it gave her a little more understanding about how Nall came to be in her life. The statues were an incredible work of art that only made the valkyrie want to see from closer. As Jumi stepped forward and suggested to go to the altar, she nodded, "Yes... Let's. We should take the time while we're here...", she replied, looking back to Shinigami who looked hesitant, staying behind for now. She did not hide but she watched from back there. Mitsuko turned to Jumi, taking her hand. -
Shinigami's Manor. (Shinigami's Entry)

Shinigami kept quiet at first, letting them decide and process on things. She still had something in mind for what she was told but she waited for now. As Jumi made her suggestion, Mitsuko nodded to her and began going, "That sounds like a fun change of things. I want to see more of what this place has to offer. It was pleasant to see the library but I will admit, also a little disturbing after what I heard here. I know the book is to blame, though... I suppose it's best that we don't stay too long, though.", she said to Umi while waiting for them so they can ultimately follow her out and see the closing and locking of the door. From that point of view, it really seemed like nobody could enter it easily, not even a demon. Shinigami had observed the door a bit before walking besides Umi this time. "I don't think you have to worry about that book or about anything like it. But if you must know, I would bet my tail that it used the same way I do to move around.", she said then quickly summoned her power to create a gate of sort near the wall. Further in the hall, another gate formed at about the same time, showing that part of it through the first portal. "You can't do that, can you...? The power of nothingness and void. I'll be good and let you study me to find a way to nullify it. In exchange, you play nice and don't try to hurt me. I have no reasons not to give a hand... Think of it like the start of an alliance.", she kindly suggested to Umi. -
Shinigami's Manor. (Shinigami's Entry)
Warning replied to Warning's topic in A World of Magic(al Girls)'s Story Topics
Shinigami easily noticed Umi's attempt to exorcise or dispel the energy emanated by the book. If not demonic, whatever that book's dark magic was was not exactly harmful but the mind of its own was a concern of sort or so it seemed like. As it was, the fox already knew what she was going to do with it. Eyeing the book to see if it would react or anything, she finally decided to use her power on it. A small void of darkness formed near the book to pick it up and lock it inside until she made her magic tear it apart almost instantly within it, making the void disappear along. "No need to keep that thing around, now do we...? I'm done playing this game.", Shinigami said calmly but still coldly, ending with a smile. Mitsuko blinked at the reaction but with the book destroyed, they wouldn't see or hear anything special now. Whatever that book was and how it was related to the fox, they might never know now unless she spoke of it herself. Still, it seemed to be for the best. Shinigami turned to focus on Umi for now, almost able to guess what she was thinking. "You don't want to know why that book was here. It doesn't follow human rules. I don't even think I do, myself. It's gone now and it won't come back.", she reassured before she gave a look to the two girls. "I believe that's fine...? You know who your enemies are. Just find a human who knows better. Or a god, if you know any.", she told them, with a bit of curiosity. Shinigami wasn't really sure if she was a goddess of sort herself but knowing that humans had gods helping them, she wanted to see what they looked like. What would they see if they looked at her? With her being a lost puppy in this world, with no real memories of whatever she might have done in the past, would they see her as a threat due to her power or look? Whatever the case was, she was bound to the two human girls for now. Mitsuko seemed fine with doing something else for now but looked at both Jumi and Umi. "If this is alright, maybe we should try Jumi's idea. I wonder what Nall is doing but I think he will find us soon or later...", she said to them, hoping Umi was fine, with the book gone. -

Mitsuko was not really less confused with the response she got but Shinigami took over, "It might have been the souls I talk about. You don't want to know what happens to them once they're captured. Or you already know.", she said mostly to Jumi. Mitsuko wondered what horror Jumi really saw but perhaps it was best not to dig too deep. She didn't like that girl, though. Something between the two baited her attention, though. What did Jumi mean? Shinigami looked confused for a second herself, "Hm? Did I say back? I said back, didn't I? I don't remember being alive before, if that's what you're asking. The damned relics existed for a while, though. That's not an issue anymore.", she just said with a light grin. This made Mitsuko wonder if such relics could really just have been destroyed but if they were connected to Shinigami somehow and she destroyed them, perhaps they really were gone. The fox focused on Jumi at the moment, considering what she had said. "You two are not just humans but humans with magic or whatever you call it. Especially, you. Maybe she values your souls more than what she got from common humans. With that manor gone, those souls are gone. Nothing she can do about it, now. She had two of you within her grasp and I ruined it.", Shinigami told them, almost with some delight at the last part. Just her playful nature seeing destruction used for what seemed like a good thing for once. Mitsuko sighed softly at all of that. In a way, she was glad that the two were safe but that still didn't stop the threat. And not only that... "We still don't know what you are, though... Or if we have a way to prove to anyone that you're friendly. B-but I mean, it's also not important. You're you and without the relics, you're no different than us, right? Honestly, I am tired of thinking about it. If she is a threat, we will do our best... For now, I think I want a break. We can always ask someone about Lenneth... Unless, we want to search the library more.", she told her friends. Shinigami eyed Mitsuko a bit then leaned back, "Fine by me. Do you want to know anything else or are we done here?", the fox then asked Jumi, just in case. -

Mitsuko gave a look of surprise as she heard the question, "Wait, a book spoke to you before?", she asked, not really knowing what had happened exactly. Shinigami seemed to guess what this was about right away but in case she was wrong, she still attempted a theory, "If you mean the whispers, I don't think that book is the only thing doing that. The whispers of the shadows are also named the whispers of the dead. If you heard the voice before, you might have heard souls...", she said as explanation, showing at least some knowledge in how death worked. Her eyes then shifted between two girls and the book which didn't really move an inch. "I might have answered for it...", she concluded, scratching her head. Mitsuko only knew of the dream and how it appeared like a game of death but slowly, she was finding out more about what Jumi had gone through. If she heard such whispers in a dream, She would see it as a nightmare and nothing less. "That dream still happened in that manor, didn't it...? If it’s as you say, then others died there before we even arrived, didn’t they?", the schoolgirl risked the question, which brought Shinigami to step back and lean back against the opposite shelf. "...She needed a lot of souls. The more she got, the stronger she became. Truth is, she didn't need me to get souls for her but I was a key to her power. She used souls to bring me back to life before that.", she said, not caring to hide it. If it was true then the ritual to bring Shinigami to life was one based on death... Still, Mitsuko still worried about something. "What is stopping her from continuing, then? She will find more innocents to kill and... do whatever she is capable of.", the schoolgirl said nervously. Shinigami shrugged and shook her head, "This is her game. Without the relics, she can't bring another one like me to life. She really went rough on me to punish me for it but it was worth it.", she said with a grin, enjoying her little adventure so far. "If you want to stop her, you're free to try. I am useless to her now but not to you. She may try to find a way to help her get souls.", she simply told them, not knowing more than this on this matter. -

Mitsuko sighed softly, unsure if she should feel better or not but she looked at Jumi. "Somehow, I doubt that the book is trying to mislead us so I doubt that it comes from her. Why would she tell us about Shinigami? It did react to her, though. That sound is one I don't like to hear." she said before Shinigami, looking less bothered by it, took a better look at the book, "That sound is not new to me. Whispers of the shadows... I wonder if that book obeys me.", the fox asked, mostly rhetorically. "ሠⶴዐ ፪ዪዐ፱ፏⶴፕ ሃዐ፱ ⶴቹዪቹ?", she then asked in her language, clearly addressing the book which soon shook slightly again, flipping a few pages it showed: "I followed the thread of fate, drawn to the one who would open me." Mitsuko was confused for a moment, wondering if the book was not just drawn to Shinigami... Or to Jumi. The second half of the message was not clear as Jumi was the one to draw the book and allow it to be opened. The deathly fox only reacted like it was a normal response but not exactly a most satisfying one, "Not very useful but this book loves me.", she commented with a smile. "I bet I can make it give me answers if you have questions. I don't know what it knows, though." she continued, making Mitsuko look at Jumi for a bit. "I am not sure myself. I don't think it would know about Lenneth... What could we possibly ask it?", the schoolgirl queried, wondering if Jumi herself might have questions for this tome.
