I know I am not planning to leave anywhere unless something goes terribly wrong. Sadly, from what I saw, a lot of stories, especially multiplayer ones, die pretty fast. I don't want to be a sour apple but I've been on Ecchidreams for years now. Long enough to see things rise and fall many times. I'll help however I can and we can hope for the best.

Welp... We don't know yet if both sides will really be that different. Still, just wanted to know his opinions and explanations anyway, for the sake of finding ideas. I know you said before that both groups would share the same world or something so I tried to keep that in mind, depending on what the rest of the group want as well.

OH okay then. I mean, yeah, it's what I was thinking about, just differently. Inject something, turn someone into an anthro. Like, the basic rule here is that anthros WILL have a human past. Unless, I guess, we go the embryo path and they are born that way. During the puppy conversation, I spoke about messing up with DNA and weird science. This is why I'm really asking (as I said at first) how far I push it. As Isabella said, there has to be a reason why something is, for lore reason. I am trying to avoid headaches, hence why I tried to make it that puppy would be a lone case without pregnancy possibilities. If we just go kemono, it could be born with a tail (tail bone) and ears with dna. For the record, anthro/kemono isn't an obligation for me but Dream also mentioned interest in one so yeah, whether we go with the industrial disaster or the mad science. So I am just really playing along since it's my first field of interest. But again, I don't wanna go against people if they might not like it. Just trying to find a middle ground.

I agree but I still value to hear what WritesNaughtyStories has to say considering it affects the whole lores altogether AND it's interesting. I saw the 2nd thread. I'm just finishing up here. After this is done, I will not be continuing on this thread if that's your wish. It's just, it wouldn't make sense to switch this at the end, mid discussion, imo.

I saw that message and unlike what you think, I didn't ignore it. I just didn't know what to think of it. You'll have to forgive me because I have no idea what it means and it's probably another reason why I did not respond to it. I'm legit trying to be fair to everyone here and give everyone a fair chance to give me their opinions, working together. What I mean here is. What does hybridization and corrective surgery means in this regard? Truly trying to understand it and if it works in a way to please everyone, maybe it's a thing we can work with. I am curious to hear if it would help me find a character based on that (tags can help a lot) or not. So yeah, please feel free to explain it for me.

I mean, the anthros wouldn't die from it but yeah, if they were treated but stuck as what they are, it would be fine. It seems the begged theme has to be pretty dark so what if the infected were captured, cured but kept prisoner or experimented on? As someone said, giving them a happy end might not be what's looked after here. If I had such a creature, I therefore would have to live the dark reality of my fate in this regard. Just throwing ideas, of course. And yeah, the steampunk part is pretty cool. I like the character I found earlier but in such a setting, I am not sure how the character would go from dealing with such an event and turn to exist all steampunky. Besides, you seem to have a good grasp of an idea with this so far so this is why I ask your opinion. I mean, at this point, it's fine if those characters are not liked by everyone. It's not expected from them to get lovey-dovey with everyone but a few. It's alright if most just yell at them, spit at them and treat them like trash if they must.

Dream's idea was basically that people got transformed into beasts. How that would end would probably be realistically not well. Think "the plague". There's almost no way these people now furry monsters would not be hunted down and killed. EVEN if one survived, assuming the gritty vibes of the theme, they wouldn't become a class job. Still, there was something about animal ear/tail possible which I would not mind. I just don't want them to look like those moreau creatures with a face that only a mother can love. But if we assume that we had someone who had grown a tail or something, we probably have to assume that they wouldn't have a very good status in the world. As for why I'm here, again, it's mostly to join something with others I know. It's less about the theme itself and more the players. Sometimes, you have to dig into something you don't know to see if that's something you can do. I was mostly interested in the wild west steam punk side of it because that's not far off of Wild Arms, just less fantasy. I wasn't planning to make this colorful if it wasn't meant to be, anyway. If "anthros" are to be monsters of sort in this universe, assuming they even exist, I'll tread carefully. I just hoped to have one anyhow but apparently, chances of that happening are not very good. At this point, even rottypops from Shantae seems to make more sense... XD

I am not TOTALLY ignorant of what you mean, though. And we're still in prep phase. Even if some seem to sound like the game is ruined before it even started, I do believe we're still talking about this and I'm also listening to what the group I was with says. Dream's idea seemed to work but then... not? I'm not sure what's going on that side. Besides, do I look like I'm trying to force something here? Let's be honest. I gave an example of a steampunk character before and asked if she was allowed or not but no clear answers was given except "It is not exactly what I envisioned." Dream seemed to be on board with some anthro or at least kemonomimi kind of character, with lores. I did mention science gone wrong but it's hard to say what it's about when it's not explained. Puppy was first one but I think what you see is more direct frankenstein monster stuff, electrical madness in this regard and other ancient movie references. Note that I merely gave examples and possibilities of explanations with it. Brainstorming. So yeah, I don't think anything's decided yet as it still seems like we're in "setting" phase and seeing what works or not. I seemed to get good reactions for what I was saying so I thought I was on a good turn with my ideas until I'm told I wasn't. Opinions seem to differ from a person to another. I'm also searching on the human side anyway.

I'm not familiar with any of the references, I didn't even know it was a requirement. Just thought I'd join the fun and join some people I know. That said, I'm also not trying to ruin it for others either. I just like certain character types and try to see if they can fit in. So... Is that an issue?

Well, you know what they say about things nowadays. Robin Hood was a fox roleplaying a human in medieval times and it still worked (even if the thing is designed as a cartoon for children.) ALL I'm saying is that it might not be too crazy to not stick to the history as we know it. Or even to the stories as told considered how some people adapted them. What I'm seeing is that we're seeming to tap into those old novels of before our time but nothing says that they can't be modified a little. That said... Indiana Jones seem to happen in the 1930s. But yeah, I see that it's really times of colonies. I personally am not sure how much there is to roleplay in those times but this is why I try to make it interesting. Also... Everyone like fluffy anthros, what do you mean? XD But seriously, I don't know much about any of those names except what I heard in Back to the Future. 20000 leagues under the sea and journey to the center of the earth is what we're aiming for? I know humans are the big deal there but still... If it's a problem, I'll do an effort to find something. So I imagine that's not fine. (Although steampunk FINALLY gave a result. XD) On the human side, there are a lot of results but the furry side seems so cute. Especially as this is a pic from Teranen, as a big bonus. I know my partners also have a say but just saying... I didn't expect to find a teranen result while searching for steampunk. That is interesting.

I mean, I have it easy on that side if the character is born out of an experiment and kept hidden for years. I will admit the decision for 1880 setting is a bit odd to me. At least according to google, trains did exist in 1880 so yay for getting ONE thing right. Obviously, I could also stick to the realism of that age but I feel like it would lack a touch of something. Like, a liiittle touch of fantasy to it. A thing I appreciated from Wild Arms as a whole since it was basically the good old wild west with a bit of ancient power, artefacts, ruins, golems and weird stuff that we could define as steampunk (for how those times made it make sense). Also why I showed a pic of Rebecca before as example, if someone didn't know it. I dunno. I'm just hoping to not limit it to something too realistic. But some characters like I mentioned so far in an old wild west setting seems crazy enough to be fun. The dog is just an example. As I said, I am still in thinking process because I don't know yet how far I can push it. (Humans feel boring most of the times and nobody likes them. /half sarcasm) I mean, by that context, it depends on how long she wanders around aimlessly. Also, I have no idea what pathway means and I googled it. If characters HAVE to connect somehow, it almost sounds like the start to Wild Arm 3. (Yeah sorry for mentioning WA a lot) but, 4 random strangers on a train, all there for the same objective until they have to team up. The puppy was merely an example because it felt westernish enough by image and I just felt like cooking a reason to her existence. I could try to force finding something else but at some point, I may need AI or something to make something for me since image databases are not being very cooperative with what I am looking for right now. It's annoying... I suppose if I made a kind of WA Drifter (Someone who travels about a lot), it could work. But since I have NO idea of what I am making something for right now, it's hard to make an actual character with a back story IF they're even supposed to have one. And if it's just a new character fresh out of the box, the "connections" will be hard to make, I believe... I might sound clueless and dumb like this but I'm totally blind despite all the discussions we've had so far. We talked of possibilities but not of an actual "Here's how things should start and so, this is how the characters should make sense in that picture." So I'm just thinking very vaguely right now, fueled by adhd nonsense, until I can make sense of things.

Funny thing is. If I used puppy, there probably wouldn't be many emotions considering the amount of air in that head. Imagine her just liking basic things like bathing until you give her a reason to fight something for sport. Only emotion I could see out of it, worse if they hurt her, would be a fiery revenge and only if their path crossed. What I said about "Her being found on a train going somewhere" is basically the sum of what she represents. Just escaping to the wind until she finds a fun thing to do in a world she knows literally nothing about. But again, just the thought when it comes to this specific character. For a character with more self awareness then maybe.

With what is said so far, I'm not even sure myself what I want to do. The furry or etc idea is barely in the air so figuring if a character can be made out of it might still be too early. OR I have my dumb puppy to play with. (Who is a human mix with paws. Her skin isn't fur except for where fur is). But yeah, still thinking... I don't really have a solid idea yet.

Dang... And suddenly, we have furries (if we use that idea). It would definitely open some doors for me, if I used that idea or something. I still think that my modified embryo thing would still work for at least ONE case. But yes... Humans turned beasts, etc. (Some growing older as that from childhood etc.) Sounds like a nice lore bit for it IF we do it.

Mitsuko appreciated the patience of her friend. It was a bit much for now, knowing what Shinigami could do and feeling like Jumi could do this as well. She just needed a moment to think about it. With the fairy so close, her focus was completely on her partner as well. Nothing else mattered for now and it was not like anybody was in the room with them. For now, she had already forgotten about the apple, thanks to Jumi. She tried to live the sweet moment between them while they were alone. They only had been alone like this the first time they were together, truly alone. It was new for her and it still was but she felt better about it than at that moment. I am used to my own clothes, not to soft ones from your human gods.", she said to her with her usual smile. "I would not wear them a lot but they were not bad. Too bright for my tastes, however." It was her way to say that she liked that experience, for what it was worth. Still, she could understand why trying to hide their body would make sense and that was what made her so different as she looked to give Mitsuko and Jumi their nudity back at the manor. I can however search for a steampunk theme as well though I doubt I will find anything. Hound on a steam powered train, escaping somewhere still sounds fun though.

Understandable. I was just saying that if that hound was going to be a thing and we want her alone, it is very doable. If I used another character befitting a "tribe" of sort, I'd need an explanation as to how they exist. I can go for many characters but my issue is that I am indecisive with things and trying to find something specific is a little stressful... I could always go simple with human too but I am poking around and see what works. I rarely do "simple". Obviously, I know there's others in the group so I try to go for something that's generally likes as well. I just tried every tags I could from western, wild west, cyberpunk... Not finding much. That's gonna be harder for me to find something.

The tribe idea's issue is having to write that multiple creatures of that kind exist everywhere. And it would probably cause an issue in the "lores". But if we say "A single one was engineered from birth with human and dog dna, forged with fire then kept prisoner in a dark place where literally nobody but a select few can see her.", we have something. By this, I'm trying to not create a headache for Isabella while using the "experiment" justification for it. Anything can be created and playing god is not something new. Now, she also doesn't have to breed and reproduce and therefore, we don't have to create a whole bunch of them. She is a lone case, she is a female who can't get pregnant. Bingo.

I mean, it depends how far we can take it. Obviously, for world building reasons, "just because" doesn't work often. There's always the question "what kind of creature can exist. What kind of place can they come from? Do creatures just exist in the world and breed other ones?". A unique creature could be engineered from birth, from some insane guy. By example. Let's just take Hellhound above. Let's say she was a picked choice in a given world. How do I explain her? I'd go "What about being born like this from having her DNA mixed up and for some reason, being infused with heat during her embryonic stage?" and you get a messed up dog girl who radiates heat. Just like that, crazy explanation. And it's merely an example. Not every characters can be explained this well since most furries are anthros after all and generally born as the race they are unless we go more werewolf where I "COULD" use Fonfon but that's another story. With that post, I just thought I'd cook a random yet "fair" explanation for what if that hound was to exist here.

I had to google what Moreau was and it's... not exactly my tastes. But the comics of it show straight furries. XD Sort of. It makes me wonder how far I can push it. (also because, tbh, I tried to search many websites for kemonomimi and it didn't exactly work as intended for what I was looking for.) I still want my character cute. Just not completely human. Something beastly would be nice. But I try to be careful not looking for what I'd call "casual furries". One good one might be the Hellhound character I had (which Satai might know about) that was sitting in an old school style bath. (Which might fit western style.) If she is an experiment or whatever, she kinda fits the bill. But still searching since it's hard.

Back at that manor, the fox never really forced what they weren't going to take. Perhaps they felt forced, being prisoners but she treated them like guests to play with. It made it almost strange to think what they could do in the temple. Still Mitsuko was not ready to be pressured into doing something like this, even if she was in both of them's hands right now. Through them, she was learning how good or bad this world was. A part of her liked the idea of being more intimate with Jumi. She just wasn't sure how much. I am no one except for the daughter of death and I don't know much about that either since I was lied to. Mitsuko and Jumi are good girls, though...", she said, a little pensive. A symbol soon glowed faintly on her left breast, forming a triangle and a circle around her nipple, only to end with a line through it, being barely visible.

Didn't you hear me before, twerp? What do you think happened between us in that bedroom?", she asked the flying cat, who gasped as he realized. The shock of seeing Shinigami like this was already something but now to realize what they might have done. "F-fine, then. You girls can do whatever you want but I can't just stay here. I will go take a look around. Maybe find another fish to eat.", he told them, only giving Shinigami another look before he started flying. Focusing back on Umi, the fox girl still did nothing too lewd yet, laying on her side and allowing her aroused body to be seen. "I might be playing but I don't bite. You can keep petting me if you want but I'm giving you a chance to see if I'm a demon or something else. If it's easier, I like to take baths and I might take you to one anyway.
