Sexual Orientation: In spite of his past relationships, Thomas has struggled with his sexuality for as long as he can remember. When he was much younger, he did feel some attraction towards members of the opposite gender, but there had always been this secret male lean. Eventually, there came a point in his life where his interest in women had become non-existent. His attraction to males, however, has only gotten stronger.
Parents: Tom is the son of Thomas Sr. and his first wife, Ruth. Both of whom are now deceased.
Sibling(s): Tom has an older brother named Eddie.
Children: Tom became a father in 1992 at the age of twenty; his son's name is Zachary.

Personal Information

Likes: Tom has always been very fond of the horror genre, having been exposed to it at a very young age. Naturally, they terrified him as a child, and his brother, Eddie, would often take pleasure in attempting to scar him for life by having him sit through some of the craziest, goriest schlockfests that he could get his hands on. Of course, he would eventually find himself growing desensitized to the simulated violence in such films. Today, it can be a real challenge getting him to watch anything outside of the genre. He loves music, particularly rock and it's various sub-genres, and learned to play guitar while in his mid-teens. He also enjoys coffee and reading.
Dislikes: Reality television, Rude/Inconsiderate people.
Turn-Ons: Tom can be pretty vanilla for the most part. While he may be a top, he does love it when the others take control, such as through seduction or restraints; however, that is not a must for him. Notes: My character and his son are technically inspired by the unnamed leads from Nicholas Ryan's zombie novel, Brink of Extinction. I have taken some liberties with the character, such as giving him a name and having him struggle with his sexuality, but I will do my best to stay as true to the character as I possibly can. However, if zombie stories do not appeal to you, I can easily twist his story around into a more normal setting. I am totally cool with writing Tom as the dad next door as my username suggests. I will include a brief summary of my character's canonical story below for those interested.

Brink of Extinction takes place over two decades into the zombie apocalypse. By that point, all of the zombies have been completely defeated, but the country (only the USA has been hit with this plague) remains a post-apocalyptic, anarchistic mess. Tom had once served in the US Army. At the beginning of the outbreak, he and all of the other soldiers were sent out to fight against the undead while their families were sent to refugee camps, including Tom's then-pregnant girlfriend. Several years later, after the undead had taken over, the government had collapsed, and the military was no more, Tom finally decided to make his way to the refugee camp where his girlfriend was in hopes of reuniting with her and meeting their child for the first time. His son was still there. However, his girlfriend had unfortunately succumbed to the zombie apocalypse, leaving him to pick up where she left off in raising their son alone. Skip ahead to the present day. Tom has kept his being in the army a secret from his son all these years, and as a result, his son believed that he had just skipped out on he and his mother. Because of this, his relationship with Tom is more than strained. Tom wants to tell him the truth, but for him, that is easier said than done.
