Good question. You can get Maray inside, while we work on that, as the only other staff member at the moment. Then, we have four more customers to get in at the moment. Maybe let people gather them all at the entrance and we can decide whether to get them all in at once, or one at a time.

I snuck Ryoko in, though based on Inkylore’s post, we will have to decide if other customers have to get past the bouncer, or if they can also get in early.

It was early, but it was good to be early. That was what Ryoko thought at least. Gave a girl a chance to evaluate the others, get first choice. It was also good to get off the streets. Last thing she needed was a fight with some punk from a rival gang. She stayed near the entrance though. It looked like staff were still coming in and preparing. She had been here often enough, she was not exactly friends with any of them, but knew a few of them, especially the bouncers and bartenders. Such a regular could sometimes talk themselves in a little early. It was fitting she had occasionally thought about working here, though she had not submitted an application or anything like that. Working here was a little iffy. She enjoyed the various entertainments the place provided, but to work here had the chance of getting a little too close to a job she might have been raised for, for she had stayed home. Instead she just leaned against the wall, near the door. She would not go in further until more of the staff came and it got closer to time for the rest of the customers to come in. If anyone made a big deal, maybe she could point out she hoped to apply, though she did intend to make a serious application just yet.

Site had a few temporary down times that are hopefully done. May see about getting a Ryoko intro in at least.

Inkylore brought his character in. We can probably start bringing our characters in. Probably all start in the Lounge, then characters can split off to other areas as they want. Of course, I’m still up to doing that development as we go. Nothing wrong with a simple start, that we build on.

The size of the place is uncertain. With the current members it seems unlikely we will get too many of any one job, though that might change if we get more members. A pair of managers is less likely now, though might have happened with me and Minorikawa. I’ll eventually make a character for that, but probably no need to make the manger soon. Other staff could be more flexible, and if to see where Ryoko ends up, if hired. Those other numbers could be good. That said, I will make a final choice if absolutely needed, but am up for making decisions as a group in many cases (would not be the first time).

I was the one who ended up the owner. Did want to give you and Warning time to make characters still. See about something to help Warning's potential character(s) fit in. Will still try to give it some more feel to stand out, though could give it a start when characters are all made, Up for suggestions for other things.

That was getting frustrating. Jumi understood Shinigami was not human, was having to go through a lot, but she had to understand they were trying to help. She was still a little scared of saying too much, causing even more trouble, but with Mitsuko gone and in response to that, she had to say something. She just hoped it would not be taken the wrong way. "Nobody is telling you to stay locked up forever or be a pet. But we can't fight the world either. This whole mess is due to ancient history, goes back to before history. We can't change the world overnight. Defend yourself if there is no choice, but please try to avoid a fight with humans, until we can figure something out. Of course I still hope we can find something here that will make people at least somewhat more accepting. But this has very little chance of being quick or easy. But me and Mitsuko still intend to find a way." She wanted to go check on Mitsuko, but this felt more important. She should at least wait for Umi and perhaps Hikaru. Though depending on where Mitsuko wandered off too, maybe she would stumble on Hikaru before Umi found him. At least if he was not in his personal room. Mitsuko would not be able to enter the library on her own, the door was sealed, only a member of the temple family could open it. Same with the room with the altar to Maxim. But maybe he was in the main chamber, sitting in his chair, having a vague resemblance to a king on a throne, that was how she thought of it, the few times she had seen him there. Any solution they might find here was not likely to be in a place a guest could randomly walk into on their own.

Could maybe draw on some ideas from there. I admit I’ve been drawing a little inspiration (with Ryoko and to a degree the VIP rooms) from my old House of Sin club. Though it (a whorehouse) more directly resembles the place Ryoko ran away from than the Garden.

Yeah, will keep the public areas we have. But VIP rooms which are the only options for certain staff or maybe special guests could be fun too.

There was some talk of staff not being allowed to do it while on the clock, or only under certain circumstances. That could be one way to work around it maybe. The whole being paid to do it might only apply to certain staff to.

The profiles at least do it make it clear what characters are looking for. Won’t be any issues with incompatible gender pairings. Though maybe there can be something in setting characters can do, to make it clear who should not approach them for such things.

Oh, I’m sure she has already joined in on that, and will continue to do so. She will just find it weird/awkward to be paid for it.

She may want those drinks. Does she have more of her mother in her than she would like to admit? Maybe, maybe not, though she would not be thrilled to take up that side of the job at first at least.

Fun, put Ryoko at risk of following in her mom’s footsteps more than she would like, if she gets hired.

Right now she is just a regular, but put it in her profile that she would not be against being hired at the Garden, to get out of that life and seeing few other places that would accept her (especially since she does not want to go home and see mom). It was a picture I had for a while, did think it fit the genre, though I don’t know a whole lot about it. May look into that option.

If that was about Ryoko, and my thinking about things for her, she is kind of both. After running away from the whorehouse home, she spent much of her time up to now in gangs of one sort or another. She probably had a variety of roles with in them, including having to fight at times.

No rush on that. Figure we are looking at at least 3 more characters, between you, Dreamsnthings and LEROZERO’s second character. See if we get anything else while people are working on those.

Cybernetics was the big thing I was wrestling with adding to Ryoko, when mentioned I might add more to her. But not sure if/how much I will.

Looks like Celeste may not be joining the invitation, but Cherry can make two friends at least.
