Nadia could like her. She could like a lot of people, but like AsBlood said, she is a little stuck. While I don't think Ash would care if we took a little initiative after not being on this long, might not follow Lerozero's lead just yet. -

@DriftingAsh @AJoeOfSubjectiveQuality @__Butterfly__ @HappyPandaLove @DreamsnThings It occurred to me that it is possible that some of our players might not have seen this thread. So will make sure everyone sees it, in case they want to add anything or do any of that planning. -

Ah, Nadia lost the person she was talking to. Well Ash can take care of that after coming back. -
“They know me. They will be surprised, but as long as we approach the gates openly and calmly, they won’t make any assumptions before hearing what we have to say.” At first glance, some Magical Girls or Knights might take the sight as her and Mitsuko having been broken. But as long as it did not look like they intended to attack or sneak in, Jumi was confident it would be fine. She made sure they were far enough from the cities edge, that no one looking out would see them, and did her best to avoid roads, but otherwise went as straight towards them as they could. “Don’t worry. It might be faster getting home this way, if they are willing to give us a ride. Shorter walk at least, but we’ll see how long we are in the temple. With any luck, they will find a way to help us at least a little. The temple priesthood has some influence in the area, though the fact the head priest is a Knight is of course kept secret. The influence is more that they are a very old and established family in the area. They claim to be distant descendants of a god themselves, though I don’t know if that is true or not.” Could Hikaru’s word to the right people help, at least a little? She was not sure. She was still trying to think of things to ask that might help.
-
Mitsuko was being cute, though it probably was not quite that easy to prove whether or not someone was a demon. There was also the issues of proving she was distinct from more generic ‘monsters’. Sad as it was, the appearance was an issue. But this was a starting point. It was worth trying and might go better than trying to keep Shinigami in the apartment. “I can’t make any promises on what will happen, but it worth a try.” Jumi turned and began walking along the edge of the city, moving towards the other side of the outskirts of the city, where the temple was placed. ”With the mist gone, will be safest and fastest to walk around the city. Shorter than the walk back home. And they may be able to help us get home, after we are done there.” It was maybe the ideal option. She could not imagine it would so quick or easy to completely fix the problem, but maybe they could make some positive progress. She tried to be optimistic. “Going as a group, it is one place they should let us in without danger of a fight, though they might want to ask questions.” She had been there a few times. Knew Hikaru, though she was not as close to him as she was with Alexandrine. “It is an interesting place, you all might enjoy the look. Though I have never gone to them with a request like this, I’m a little curious what they might do.” All she knew is they would not try to hurt Shinigami, after she spoke up for her and explained what was happening.
-
Setting aside lingering confusion over just what Shinigami’s mother was, and uncertainty if that woman still wanted her after everything that happened, she mostly intended to avoid that subject. Shinigami might not be a demon, but there seemed to be some similarities there. A sensitive subject, Jumi intended to avoid sensitive subjects without good reason, especially after the fight back at the manor. She paused to let Mitsuko try to comfort Shinigami, hopefully it would at least a little. The war between humans and the various demons/monsters/aliens reached back into prehistory. There was good reason to be careful about revealing the truth of the Magical Girls/Knights that had such blood. They were accepted within the group, but after so many had died after so many years, many average people would possibly fear or hate such people, not trust them. “…Holy water?” She asked with a small amused smile. It was nice Mitsuko cared so much and was trying to think of something. Though it led to bring something up. “It isn’t easy to test such things. With blood, while Shinigami isn’t a demon, I have no idea how close her’s would appear in such a test, if anyone involved could say that so definitely. Looking to holy water, or divine or magic stuff…” ”…there are not a lot of options to test such things. Unless you want to take a detour. It is closer than home, though we are in the wrong side of the city. A little ways outside of the city is an old well established temple. Headed by a Knight and his family, who happens to be Alexandrine’s brother-in-law.” Was it worth it taking a detour to go there. She was not certain any solution would be found there, but it was one option to consider. If they were going to try, it would be easiest to do it now, before they got further from it.
-
“You said it yourself earlier. Demons are not kind to us. Often force themselves on us, and occasionally it leaves one of us with an unplanned child.” Jumi did not know much about that girl Alexandrine found, could not say a lot, but despite appearances, Shinigami was not a demon, it might be worth explaining generalities. “Most of the population has no idea it can or does happen. But we, Magical Girls and Knights, are aware some of us are born that way. Some can hide it more easily than others, only showing signs while transformed, other have to dress carefully and hide in the shadows. They did not choose their parents, they are not our enemy, unless they join the demons. As traumatic as it is for the mother, they rarely if ever abandon such a child.” That was the basics anyway. Details varied on a case by case basis. “But the one I’m referring to was one Alexandrine only found a few days ago. Daughter of a demon she has a long history with and extra personal hate for. Finding the girl and eventually dealing with her father was one of the things she had to do, when she left us.”

There he was after all. Something was going to happen one way or another. She had no comment on how comfortable the room may or may not have been. She was too distracted to think much about the comfort of the bed she was on, and paid even less attention to the rest of the room. He offered rewards and threats, not she thought she could find any reward from him appealing. The one small comfort she could take was he was not likely to kill her, certainly not quickly. Not if he desired her as much as he seemed to, or wanted information from her. “I won’t tell you anything about her.” It was Elie he most wanted to know about, wasn’t it? She would not help him get to her, whatever he did to her. But she bit her tongue a little, did not say everything she wanted too. She was going to hate this experience either way, but it would be even worse if she was too blunt. -

Did she hear the sound of footsteps at the door? Catherine took a deep breath. It might not have been Azreal, or he might be going somewhere else first. She tried to harden her spirit, prepare just in case. Her legs reflexively squeezed together. He might torment other ways too, but after what he said, she was certain he planned to force himself on her in the first visit. He might even try to make her like it, though she was sure he would be cruel about it and could not see herself enjoying it. She gave one more vain pull at the chains, feebly trying and failing to break them or free her hands, as she wait to see if the sounds were a false alarm or not. -
This was getting frustrating. But Jumi had committed to seeing this through and was not going to snap at Shinigami, she somewhat understood Shinigami’s feelings, hoped Shinigami would understand she and Mitsuko were trying to help. All three of them were likely going to have to do things they would prefer not to to make this work, but charging ahead blindly, fighting anyone who did not approve would just go badly for all of them. At least Mitsuko was making efforts to try to lighten the mood, though they would have to see how effective it would be. An interesting choice, something Shinigami could potentially participate in, if she wanted to. “Talking is pretty normal. Singing? Some like it, some don’t. There were a bunch singing on stage back at the convention. At least one of them a secret half-demon.” Would that help at all? Pointing out it was not technically a purely human thing? Even if that half-demon was more human than demon. “You could try to start, maybe we’ll join in.” She encouraged Mitsuko to try singing if she wanted, as long as it did not seem to annoy Shinigami too much, she might join in.

Nothing but quiet. Was he intentionally forcing her to wait, or taking care of other things? Not that she wanted to see him, but there was a different sort of torment to wait in this room, alone, bound like a prisoner. There was not much she could do, other than try to sleep, which was not very likely. Try to remember pleasant memories. Try to think of how to endure this. There was not much else she could do. She was too weak to fight Azreal, there was no escape from what he intended to do to her. But she could not imagine herself giving in. How could she? She hated everything about him. It did not matter how badly he wanted her. She refused to believe she could be manipulated or twisted by such a man. She just had to mentally prepare herself, for anything he might try. -

“We’ll get her good and ready. Take as much time with your bath as you want. We will probably be gone by the time you come to visit her.” Canata replied, nodded to the two demons and led her off. They went to the room they were instructed, pushed her on to the bed. The chains were redone as instructed, her arms bound above her head, the lower body more free but she would be unable to escape. “Oh you are going to be in for quite an experience. I wonder, will you fall to despair, or fall for him? You would not be the first I’ve seen give in. Maybe deep down, you have always wanted someone to use you like he is about to.” She gloated, with Catherine spitting in her face in response. Which Canata simply wiped off. “I don’t know how long he will keep you waiting. But expect a lot more than kissing when he comes to see you.” With that, she and the other two faded away. Now she was alone, no one in the house was her friend. She struggled with the chains, but it was useless. All she could do was lay there. Mourning and worrying about what to do. What to do about Azreal, about Ellie. A mother’s love, twisted with the anger of a wife’s love. To protect her daughter, to spite the man who led to her husband’s death. She was not thinking about Azreal’s plans for her, or his perverted desire for her. -
“I would prefer not to make enemies out of allies. We might be able to talk them into seeing things our way, but I would prefer to have time to prepare for that, and not be caught by surprise and do it impulsively.” Jumi answered in a way she hoped Shinigami would understand. There was too much risk of someone seriously getting hurt if they fought. Or of her and Mitsuko being considered Broken Girls. She understood this was not the way Shinigami preferred, but it was for the best. “I’ll make it up to you at some point. Give you chances to get out there and do things your way.” Take her to, carefully, look for monsters at some future point maybe? Something had to be figured out. Despite her cute little fantasies back at the manor, she did not consider Shinigami a pet, was not going to try to force her to do anything, but hopefully she could see reason. “It is not a short walk, let’s focus on getting to our destination for now.” It could be some time before they ran into anything. If they did, hopefully it was something Shinigami could get some excitement over. Hopefully calm her a little.

I figured something probably would, but did not have a good idea what yet, or exactly how long it would take them to make their trip. Beyond that them being somewhere vague in Japan, no sense of where they are, are going or exactly how big the territory of various teams are. -

As a succubus, Canata’s eyes unsurprisingly had been on Azreal since he stood. She did not have a human’s shame, to look away. But at the same time, she had self-control. Did not try to distract him from his gift. He was treating Catherine much like a demon male might treat a woman he considered beneath her, she could understand his desires. “She is yours to do whatever you want with. But you might need to warm her up, show her how much you want her.” It was fairly serious advice, but she felt Azreal should follow her own style. “Now I kind of wish I had not stuck to your brother’s dreams, or there might have been a chance I could have handed you another in a matter of months to shape from birth.” That was an amusing thought. Catherine’s reaction would have been lovely too. But she was satisfied with the dream fun. Catherine could not stop the demons from pulling her up. She did her best to ignore the succubus, who seemed to trying to get to her, as much as encourage Azreal. She glared at him for the question. Had he truly lusted for her so long? That keep her alive longer but it was more certain he would give her a lot of unwanted attention. His question stabbed her, her or her daughter. There was the possibility Elie could be spared if she played along. But it sounded like he wanted something more than she was prepared to give. To desire him, even love him. How could she do that? But she still said nothing to him. Letting out a muffled gasp as his kissed her, felt the intense and disgusting desire he had for her, but chained up, and kept in place by the demons, she could not break the kiss. -
“Yeah, well I’m up for other ideas but I don’t see alternatives to walking. Alexandrine’s van might have been an alternative, but she has her own things she has to take care of. Someone else we may have to wait a while to see again.” Jumi answered the point about walking. The goal was to hide Shinigami and she did not see a way to do that with more convenient travel. She was not that excited about it, but it was doable, and better than giving up so easily. She was amused at Mitsuko’s analogy. It was a fair comparison in many ways. It was even a little random whether they would run into any stray monsters or people watching for them. She might have to consider something like that, see if it could occupy Shinigami’s time after they got back. ”That said, I’ve never taken a walk quite like this. Can’t really guess how long it will take. Just keep an eye out. Yeah, we might have to fight. Might have to hide too. Might have to consider looking for cover, even if it is a little more risky.” She added as she gave Shinigami a nod and began walking in the general direction. Though she was not sure about the fastest route or everything they might encounter.

Another opening there with Nadia. There is her whole concern about lack of money. Don’t know it it is strictly necessary for anything related to the hotel, but anyone who helps her out with that or anything she needs but lacks may make progress with her. -

Catherine’s stomach twisted at his admission of sexual desire for her daughter. She had no blood relation to him, but Elie was his niece! But she completely believed he would do it if he had the chance. She could only hope Elie had people who could protect her. But considering Azreal’s connection to demons, that would take special protection. She did not immediately say anything though and now that she was about to be moved that might wait until Azreal went to the room she was being taken to. ”You should believe him. But maybe he is good enough to make you his whether you want it or not.” Canata warned/gloated towards Catherine, enjoying this and her imaginings of how it would play out. To watch a human give into despair, become someone they never were before, it was such fun, sometimes arousing. Especially if it was done through sex, a succubus like her could not help but find it very appealing. She would not be able to watch it though. “Imagine how the young one will react, if show off her mother here, after you make her yours. Maybe this one can convince her to let you have both of them.” She thought out loud as she nodded to the two demons who pulled her up and began taking her to the room. “Should we undress her, or would you prefer to unwrap this gift? I won’t be able to stay and watch. But I like the way you think, may check on the progress from time to time.” -
Canata’s mind had been considering things. It was a lot for the human girl to take in, she was going to be given the harsh introduction. To be dragged into demon culture, a special honor as far as Canata saw it. Magical Girls were the ideal, the power valued. A regular human might be captured, played with a little, but were ultimately expendable. But a rare few Magical Girls saw the ‘light’, or embraced the darkness, depending on how looked at it. Took it all in, became truly loyal, fought for the demon cause willingly and eagerly. Most were stubborn, would rather die. But a few were exceptions. It was not a certainty. But she saw it in Emiri, if she and Zorn worked hard enough, she thought Emiri would become one of them. It made her happy. She did not normally think much of humans, but if Emiri gave in, she would truly consider the woman her friend. Demons could have friends, though demon culture meant it was rare for a demon to have more than one or two, they truly considered a friend. There was something to consider. “Of course, there is always the option of a ‘warm up’.” Canata continued, with a little warmth and a little mischievousness. “I could go find one of Zorn’s few surviving soldiers, offer him to…take some time with you. Give you taste of a demon male. May try to find one that looks less human. Zorn doesn’t look like you as much as I do after all…”. This was rather fun, she imagined the two of them together. “He won’t dare be as rough as Zorn, you belong to his master now after all. But you are still a human, and he is probably angry about the last battle. He will not like you or treat with respect. But he will find your body very appealing I’m sure. You can wait for Zorn, if you would prefer. Or I can go look for one. Zorn won’t be bothered one of his soldiers got you first.” It was a rare case where Emiri had a genuine choice. Perhaps not a pleasant one, but Canata left it up to her.

Canata watched for moment, she had been looking forward to seeing how this went. She would not stay especially long, but would see a little more. She wanted to see how the woman reacted, get a sense of whether Azreal wanted to keep her or not. There was some thrill there. The woman’s life was in danger. Could it be saved. She did not know Azreal very well, but coming and going from Zorn’s castle they had met and interacted a little. She found his attitude and style refreshing for a human. “I’m sure you can handle her on your own. But if you don’t plan to kill her immediately, me or my friends here can give you help, to put her in her in her new place.” She mostly meant dragging the woman to whatever room he wanted to keep her, help secure it if he wanted, but it was a more open offer. “We can give you two some privacy if you would prefer it too, I’ll pass the word along to Zorn after we leave, either way.” She could see this going so many ways. She found it entertaining. She did not any of the sympathy she felt for her friend Emiri. That was a special project. Most of the time humans were an enemy, their main value being the pleasure she could get from them, like she had with Azreal’s brother in his final moments. Catherine tried to ignore the demons around her. They had not done much to her so far, just hurt her enough to chain her up. Forced her watch her husband get killed in his sleep…while that bitch of a succubus had her way with him in his dreams. Did she take her shape? Use the confusion of dream to do it in her true form. She did not know, and she did not want to know. But it clear they had been gentler with her than they needed, to let this bastard do whatever he wanted to her. Could he even be called human? He was now responsible for the death of everyone in his family except herself and her daughter. It was entirely possible he would kill her right now. That was what she thought, but one of the things he said concerned her. “Your prize?” She bitterly spit out. He was not seeming to be talking only about this moment. It almost sounded like he desired something worse. If he was suggesting what she thought, death might be preferable, especially in her grief over her husband’s death. Protecting her daughter was perhaps the one thing holding her back. It sounded like he wanted to kill her or worse. “You will never get her!” She could not back up her words, in this circumstance, but a mother’s desire to protect her daughter was not always rational. -
It took a little improvising. Jumi had the basic idea of where to go and made as straight a path as she could, though they had to improvise around obstacles a few times, but they made it out while it was still fairly early. She paused to catch her breath as she looked back on the fading mist. “…I’m sure we will see her again…though, yeah, it could be awhile.” Jumi answered, remembering what she and Nymphia had spoke about and the impression the other two girls left on her. But Nymphia was not a teammate, she had her own battles to fight in other places. They would meet again, but it might be infrequent. She looked out ahead, into the open area. What she next was more for Shinigami and Nall, though she addressed Mitsuko’s concern first. “If anyone saw anything, it would have been too quick, or a blur to realize what it was. Maybe they guessed right for you and me, but if they did I’m sure they thought we just investigating or pursuing something….” ”…That is just step one though. My home is still someway away, and we probably can’t use the trains like I did to get here. May have to make a nature hike for a while. Hope we don’t run into any stay demons, monsters or Magical Girls or Knights patrolling for them.” You just never knew. Because of the constant of work of people like herself the wild was mostly safe, but it took constant work. There were always new holes or other things they tried to sneak out of. In wooded or wet areas, you had to watch for tentacles too.

As for setting things up, well you two and DreamsnThings know more of what is going on with Nadia than the others, though her forgotten past is only a slight influence on the current character. The main thing is any character can approach her, but men will have a more difficult time with her than women or Futas. But anyone is free try, it will be more difficult, but not impossible for men. -

OOC, mostly to other readers: Normally I would make a new profile for the character being introduced here, but due to her special circumstances, particularly connection to Elie’s characters, I’m going to hold off on that. If she becomes a long term character, she may get one later. The peace of Azreal’s bath was interrupted as red glowing circle appeared on the edge. The demons of Zorn of course were quite familiar with this home and its occupant. Zorn had made arrangements that made it easier for him and those who severed him to visit. Though for the sake of discreetness, they rarely visited and only with a reason. It was usually much more convenient and safer to have Azreal come to them. But they had a reason to visit now. Several figures appeared in the circle, before it faded. One was a human woman, middle-aged, but still healthy and beautiful. She was on her knees. Not injured, but showed some signs that two demons at her side, holding chains that bound her, had to be a little rough with her. She silently looked around, trying to get a sense of her new location, when her eyes grew cold at the site of the man in the bath. She feared this was what this was about. And the real reason behind this. But another woman’s voice spoke up first. “Zorn does not like leaving lose ends, and he values your loyalty and service.” From behind the human woman stepped a non-human. “Recognize her? She was a pain to find. Her husband too, but cast a big of net over human dreams, I can often find what I need to.” She continued, in addition to the two guards, the succubus Canata brought this woman. “Had some fun with her husband, in his dreams. He’s gone though. My friends here took care of him as I gave him a pleasant final night. But, we thought you might appreciate this one. So we brought her here, instead of finishing her off. Yours to do whatever you want with.” She said smiling, indifferent to what happened. She did not serve Zorn, but was willing to help, if she found it appealing and they were an enemy. The man’s death was something Azreal would appreciate. A brother that escaped his killing of most of his family. Now his widowed sister-in-law was presented to him. -

Yeah, that’s possible. Will see how they go with their run. Of course, getting out of the city is only part of what they need to do. Plenty of chance to run into someone somewhere, unless they do a real good job and have some luck.
