Maybe they came across a space craft that had sent out an S.O.S but when officers from ARK investigated they just found a bunch of dead bodies? Maybe she hitched a ride from there? I'm just throwing out ideas since I assume that they would have come across other travellers in the vast ocean of space.

I have been exhausted and in pain but it will get better soon.

Do you have discord? I ask because I would love to discuss this with you. If I am honest, everything I wrote about Gaia was just pulled out of my ass exhausted brain! So any/all input for this world would be very much welcome. When I edit it I will be sure to credit you for it. Also feel free to rewrite what I have done if you can think of a better way to word what I did. :3 While I can be good at world building my sleep deprived brain doesn't let me word too good at the moment! XD;

Upon rereading the overview I get the feeling this is a PSO episode 1 thing going on. The overview says that the planets "had become unstable." So that opens way for me to say that (with the permission of @Kitsuyumia) that Gaia has only just gone dark. (Lost contact to the outside.) This has happened: A few large comets hit the planet so the core became unstable. This meant that inactive volcanos became active again, Earth quakes became more frequent and began to appear in locations where they hadn't before, the weather system became unpredictable and harsh, and the atmosphere became mildly toxic. (Without a specialist suit a native of Gaia can breath for an hour. Other races last anywhere from a few seconds to 30 minutes depending on a different factors.) Most Gaians left the planet because they could no longer bare the conditions of their home world. Those who enjoy extreme survival situations have stayed. A few business owners have also decided to stay due to the fact that they didn't want others to steal their trade. (Herbs, minerals, etc) They had been trading with ships with fuel and other supplies that were exclusively from that planet. However, a few months ago any contact that was had ceased. So far no one has dared to investigate due to the dramatic shift in state of the planet. Has this answered your question @Kissa?

Have some Mass Effect music! The little one is FINALLY sleep and dinner has been had. Soooo here we go for more of an explanation involving Animalis Mutatio! Lore that I didn't put in because I was unsure about if I should or not. But I WILL add it now - if @Kitsuyumiais ok with it? A few hundred years before the ARK project there was the "Eiocha" project. The aim of it was to use animal DNA to enhance human abilities in different military fields. Unfortunately, they didn't produce any desirable results so they ended up changing the objective and sent all of the experiments off on a path to a newly discovered system. The logic was that "fate" would decide if they lived or died. Well... they lived. VERY much lived. Ten years before the events of the ARK project Earth picked up a signal from the Orion cluster. The experiment that they had sent off to die had survived and were now capable of space travel! Upon arriving on Gaia they saw it was similar to Earth. Their world had technology that works together with the planet's eco system instead of destroying it. They were also shocked when they we greeted by human-like creatures that could transform into animals at will. The humans apologised for what their ancestors did and an alliance was formed. A very strained one. The Gaians have been split in when it comes to associating with the humans. (Which is understandable.) Some are welcoming and willing to see humanity prove that the alliance isn't for nothing while others have a high distrust and dislike for humans due to what was done to their people. Current generation of Gaians would have grown up around this friction and also have their own opinions about it. ---- When I stated "A humanoid form" this can mean that all their features disappear or that they are left with some. It depends on how their body reacts to the pheromone that is released. An example - Isleen is able to hide all of her animal features when she changes where as your character can't because of her response to the pheromone. Your character is still able to change into her original animal form but she is just not able to hide her animal features when she changes over to her humanoid version. When is comes to the different "races" there are no sub-species. They are all the same apart from appearance and animal type. Much like different races in the real world. For example - when we fill out a form it asks what our race is it calls it "Ethnic group" and the list will look something like this: White: English, Welsh, Scottish, Northern Irish or British Irish Gypsy or Irish Traveller Any other White background Mixed or Multiple ethnic groups White and Black Caribbean White and Black African White and Asian Any other Mixed or Multiple ethnic background Asian or Asian British Indian Pakistani Bangladeshi Chinese Any other Asian background Black, African, Caribbean or Black British African Caribbean Any other Black, African or Caribbean background Other ethnic group Arab Any other ethnic group ///// In our case it would be something like this: Prey: White Rabbit Predator: Snow Leopard /// I hope this has helped @Kissa I am open to suggestions on how to change stuff. :3

Some think that they shouldn't even associate with them and others think that they should give humankind a chance to make up for the wrongs that were done to them. I have almost finished Isleen now. She was given no choice at all but to notice since the way she moved towards her and it was rather hypnotic. It was almost as if she were a pole dancer performing just for her. That very thought made her swallow hard. She had never felt this way towards anyone before and it was confusing and scary. The fairy was slightly confused to the change in the mood as it went from terrifying to strangely calming as the demoness made a certain implication with her words. Was she really hinting for her to be intermate with her? A demon and a forest fairy? If the elders knew of this situation they would be horrified! Then again it was her frustration with them that got her into this mess in the first place! To hell with it. "Really?!" She asked. Leandra was just checking that she wasn't misunderstanding the seductress. But upon no response to her question she simply bowed and said "Thank you!" With that she carefully followed the demoness to where ever her office was.

This might throw a cog in my machine! I was going to ask our gm about humanity making a race and then basically abandoning them until first contact - which would be a couple of hundred years before these evens. First contact with Animalis Mutatio's would probably be 10 years before the events of this game? I dunno though.

I don't see the harm in having two medical professionals.

You can make a human or alien with whatever job. Although it seems we have a lot of engineers so you might want to stay clear of that. lol

Species: Animalis Mutatio Species type: Anthropomorphic - They are a race of beings that resemble animals from Earth - Sol System cluster. However, they have the ability to shift from their animal form to a more humanoid one at will. Original Home world: Gaia - Orion cluster. All Gaians are born in an animal form but around 12/14 years of age (Young adult status for them) they go through a ceremony of adulthood so they can change from animal into a humanoid form. During the ceremony they are exposed to high levels of a special pheromone that triggers their "fight/flight" response and thus forces their body to change. There have been rare cases where some induvials are unable to gain this ability due to an high tolerance towards the pheromone used. If this happens they are given two options; Stay in their animal form or be subjected to a dangerous level of the pheromone. Classification: There are "predator" and "prey" types. Predator = Wolf/Lion/Etc. Prey = Hamster/Rabbit/Etc. Sub-groups: There are serval sub-groups of this species. (Much like the humans have "British White and Irish White." Or "African and African American.") Feline - [Large] Lion/Tiger/Panther/Snow Leopard/Etc. [Small] Siamese/Bombay/Maine coon/Tabby/Etc. Canine - [Large] Wolf/Fox/Jackle/Dingo/Etc. [small] German Shepard/Labrador/Dalmatian/Etc. Lagomorpha - Rabbit/Hare/Pika Rodent - Rat/Mouse/Capibara/Chinchilla/Ect. And so on. Reproduction: Both predator and prey types can reproduce with one another but they often stick to their own sub group. They can also reproduce with the same gender but it is rare to do so.
