Monsterhearts: The Summer Folk

The Hollow smiled broadly, imitating what they's seen people at the midway do when they got what they wanted. The took the driver's hand in their smooth, soft grip, Dylan climbed into the van, pulling Selene after them as they settled in a seat behind the two surfers. "Absolutely," Dylan agreed in their lilting, contratenor voice, "I owe you big." As Selene sat down Dylan grabbed her thigh. They were aware of cars, understood how they worked, but had never ridden in one. High on X it was more exciting than frightening, but they didn't really know what to expect. As the short trip to The Cabins progressed, Dylan began to settle down. "I can't wait to see Robin. Is there anyone going to the party that you're excited about?" -
The kaiju screeched as Scylla continued to claw at its thick hide and immense bulk. It tried to bend its long body around to tear at her with fangs long enough to pierce her skull, but the agile BioFrame jad positioned herself so far up that it could not reach. It rolled, flailing its tail, and succeeded in pinning her to the ground under its massive body, though her armor kept her from being crushed for the moment. Emily, feeling Scylla tumble and roll, the sudden, thunderous slap of the beast's powerful tale, struggled to make any headway against the drone, but didn't lose any. Magda connect Patune's comm suite to the carrier's sensors to check on Patches and Scylla. The kaiju was giant - more than four times the size of Scylla - but the hellion was succeeding in keeping it from reaching the outpost. The feed from the HIve broadcast was frozen, but not showing the actual battle. The important propaganda victory would be the Hive citizens seeing the Union defending them. Magda's chest tightened as the kaiju lashed at Scylla with its tail and tried to crush her, "Hang on!" she screamed into the command push, "Almost there Patches, Somebody help her get control of that drone!" She could feel Patune go rgid inside her - what had been his pulsing warmth was now a hard bar buried in her, and she tried to soothe him - but he could feel her desperation and concern, her frustration at not being able to reach her warrior fueling his as the fight happened without him. "Soon, boy. Soon." she cooed, but Patune's anger remained. Honestly, so did hers. "Damn it, Vickers! She barked at the carrier's pilot, "Get me in there before that thing kills them." "The thruster's still only at 40% Captain. another minute of so, and we'll have Patune on the ground." "NOW!" Bellowed the BioFrame. It wasn' really a word, Magda may have provided that context herself, but his intent was clear. The carrier angled toward the ground, the pilot using gravity to accelerate as he tried to get to Patune's maximum range as fast as possible. As they neared the ground, Magfa could feel the transit restraints release through Patune. HIs fury became the kind of excited tension that didn't hurt/ "That's my man/" She purred, working her hands over his sensitive tendrils as he prepared to leap forward, throwing himself at the ground to hit it at a sprint. Leap. Freefall. Impact. Magda drew a bead as Patune lumbered forward. "We're down!" She announced as the mass driver hissed. A full kilo of steel flew at Mach 5, spanning the distance between BioFrame and kaiju in an instant. Black ichor erupted at the impact and the kaiju spun to face the new threat. "Let him come to me, Patches - you can snatch him from behind. After you get control of that drone!" // Scylla's attack was a massive success, and only the incredible size difference is keeping her from shredding it. I think her heroic fight buys you a Fate point.

Monsterhearts: The Summer Folk

Dylan felt unusually light as they steered Selene out of the mall. It was the X, but unlike the past, they were really enjoying. It was a bit of a trip to The Cabins and it was getting close to party time - and Dylan was really excited to see Robin. The rest of the people, except maybe Selene. "We need to hurry..." Dylan urged, pulling Selene a little harder as they passed through the glass doors of the mall into the parking lot. Dylan looked around, suddenly painfully aware that they had no way to get to The Cabins. High, and feeling good, Dylan spied a minivan with a bunch of teens about their age in beach clothes. "Come on!" Dylan chirped excitedly and started off at a dog trot for the minivan. "Hey," they called, "can I ask you a favor?" the called as they drew closer, slowing their pace only slightly as they drew close. Breathing hard as they joined the somewhat confused coeds, Dylan offered a broad, bright smile. "Our friend is out at The Cabins and we really need to go get her - could you, uh, maybe give us a ride?" -
We're getting into a car with strangers... none. We're getting in no trouble at all. Everything is perfectly fine and safe.
-
See kids, this is what you get when you think you're cute and clever. Someone comes along and calls you on your bullshit. Uh, I don't know if Dylan knows how to drive - I kind of doubt it. Dylan, rolled 16 using 1d20. 5 or less to know how to drive. So, that's a "No." But I do think they're high enough to ask for a ride. Do Selene and Dylan see any teens around?

Steal a car!!

Monsterhearts: The Summer Folk

Dylan gave Charlotte, or the hallucination of her, a little, friendly wave and turned a lopsided knowing grin on Selene. "Have we thought about checking Billy Bongwater?" they asked, lacing her arm through Selene's, as much for stability as contact. The androngyne jerked a thumb at the mannequin, "She told me she's buying weed - which maybe we could take with us too." Dylan leaned close their soft, full lips brushing Selene's cheek, "I don't have enough of these for everybody..." They pulled Selene towards the exit and said, "We need to go to The Cabins - and you can tell me all about being a pretty girl." //OOC: How are we getting to the cabins? -
It was always an aphrodisiac....

Dylan was a little spun. They didn't hate it as much as when The Maker drugged them, though. They felt the hard, wet want that X gave them, but the drifting perception, too real faces and prickling awareness from the edges of their senses didn't hide the intentional use of the want that had been forced on them. No, this time they'd chosen it. Dylan's soft, smiling face lolled toward Selene. She was pretty, clearly feminine. A woman. Dylan caught the scent of shampoo, deodorant and laundry detergent all sparkling and blended like garam masala - not identifiable components, but a specific, distinct thing. Dylan smiled as they stored that sense memory. Dylan shook their head, "Nope." The mall was new to the Hollow, and Dylan loved it. Leather, perfume, the colors around and through the lights, the strange, churning chaos music of voices swirled through the reverb of space and hard, shiny surfaces. Dylan pointed down the mall to an edgier fashion store, *What about there?" They asked, standing up and tagged at Selene's hand. When the rising college freshman rose, Dylan didn't let go of Selene's hand. It wasn't so much a decision to hold her hand as the warmth of contact mingled deliciously with their arousal. "What's it like being a pretty girl?" They asked, giving Selene a goofy, far away smile as they walked towards the store. "So weird to like how it feels," Dylan murmured, unaware of uninhibited enough, to have half their thoughts spill out while letting their gaze linger far too long on a sexless mannequin with the kind of non-committal slight rise that hinted at breasts that Dylan had. "Cool," Dylan observed cryptically as they stared through their own reflected eyes into the badly painted ones belonging to the mannequin. "What about you, cutie," they asked androgynous display wearing only an open Guayabera shirt, "have you seen Charlotte?" -
From a game stand point, does this qualify as Robin taking a new Lover?
-
If Velvet is doing it right, Robin probably won't notice much that Sam and Lizzie do.
-
I completely concur! Hey, all you people - we have fucking mechs! and fucking mechs... and a much richer story than I originally anticipated.
-
Opening a "Summer Folk: The Hotness" thread is a great solution. I suggest we cut back to Selene and Dylan looking for Charlotte so we can figure out how messed up Dylan is. I can see the transition shot - zoom in on Sam's phone as she makes her post, then check a notification and it's a post with shots of Dylan, pull out to Charlotte doing whatever she's up to and tracking shot to Dylan and Selene as Dylan spins and giggles... All the dominoes falling into place...
-
Dylan's going to faint when they see Robin.
-
I think so.
-
Yes. I think so.

It think the only places we need to make edits are @roll to seduce's initial post to make it clear that everyone has just graduated, my first post to clarify that Dylan (who did not attend school - perhaps there are design records in the house) the post where @WickedCadrach said what grade she'd be in and wherever it is that Derek is called out as being a senior next year. Perhaps he's back from his freshman year at Rock Coast State? There's no explicit content in this story and the clean up is minimal.
-
Me too.
-
The years are long at this point, but I don't think so. Not guilty. The next poster has ship lifted cards for a TCG (Pokemon, Magic, Yu-Gi-Oh etc)
-
I think we have (had?) a good thing going that was not in actual violation of the new rules, The edits required to move everybody ahead a couple of years in school are minimal. If we do decide a reboot is the way, I'd like to play the version of Dylan we've developed.

The kaiju screams in fury as Scylla's claws tore through its primal flesh. It snapped its head around, trying to reach her, and planted its forefoot and attempted to change direction to get to her. The monster's momentum dumped it over, sending it sprawling. Its massive bulk tumbled to the side, dragging Scylla with it as it howled. The roll carried them through the remains of the column, crushing at least one vehicle. But it skidded to a stop well clear of the outpost and thrashed, trying to reach Scylla. Cushioned inside the embrace of Scylla's cockpit, Emily felt little, but could make very little progress on the drone, though she thought she might have stopped ot from broadcasting. //I'm going to say Scylla is disoriented for your next post. As long as she doesn't let go of the kaiju, it's a -1 to fight. Emily should be free to continue working on the drone. If you want to abandon that for the time being you can take in sync as an aspect for the pair of you but the drone with recover. Are we good with two more posts before the carrier arrives?
-
Retirement? Does that count? Guilty, I guess. Next poster is self employed.

Makes Dylan a townie as well, but without ties to the typical shared experience with townies going to school next to the college and the fraught relationship with the students and college (where half their parents work). Does it show I was a townie?
-
A townie, I'm guessing?
