@Reyna Ito shook his head softly at Eiko, "It is only a matter of time, Eiko, before I expire and you will have to figure out what to do." He took her narrow waist in her hands gently, "Because contract or no, I an not immortal - slow though I age, I do age and one day I will lose the race." He kissed her as delicately as a cherry petal dropping on a pond. It was an unfortunate truth, but one no one had solved. Humans died in time. Ito knew he was no exception but had always figured Eiko was used to humans dying. He couldn't have been the first to become close to her, could he? He'd always figured that at some point at least someone who held her contract must have respected her. He looked her in the eye, "You must have had..." he let the thought die quietly. Humans had died around her. At least one she had not been sad to see go. He ached for her - infinite age, almost all of it to be spent in bondage. He looked at the floor and shook his head to clear it. He'd think of something. "Let me try something, will you?" He asked with a friendly, affectionate wink. It wasn't exactly a solution but it might let him work around the edges of contracts. He pointed to the tea pot, "Think I can heat it up without a contract?" he asked starting to feel for her fire veins with his mind.

Granted. The world economy collapses and nobody makes anything any more. I'm an American, sorry. I wish I liked my dick.
-
Granted but your genitals are permanently pixelated and it hurts. I wish I was as smart as everyone thinks they are.

Ito masked his sadness at Eiko's choice of hurting herself instead of him but he made no show of it. Once the wound was opened up, he pointed at it, "There you go, Chiana - Eiko's injured. Get it fixed up." The adolescent girl closed her eyes and her eyebrows knit together in thought. Ito could see her working her lips, trying to talk herself through it. Eiko continued to bleed. Ito looked from Eiko's arm to Chiana to her demon. Charcarus laid a hand on the girl's shoulder, his broad maw of triangular teeth gritted together in effort as he tried to help the girl. Ito gave her another second before he spoke. "Chiana. Take a break. I'll help you." He looked at the demon, "I am going to join your contract." He said, taking a small piece of rice paper from his robe. His fingers danced above the paper and calligraphy of the demon's name glowed on the paper then settled to black ink. The demon looked slightly confused for a moment, but the nodded. Ito looked at Chiana. "Can you feel me in your contract?" The girl nodded and Professor Shukozan continued, "Good. Now, pay attention close your eyes - there's nothing to see out here, feel what I do." The professor reached through the contract, felt the shark demon's water veins and drew the poser forward gently. As it flowed through him he passed it into the girl and shaped the power into the healing spell. He saw the wound closing, imagined the pain abating and felt the strength in the arm return. Outside, Eiko's arm stopped bleeding and the rent flesh knitted back together. He stopped before the wound was completely healed. His contract with the demon would last another few minutes the Professor suspected - he hadn't been counting heartbeats - every contract he made lasted exactly 666 heartbeats. Right now he was calm and rested so his heart beat slowly. "You do it this time, Chiana - finish healing the wound. Reach through the contract and find Charcarus' water veins." He could feel her acting on the contract, it was clumsy, tentative, but she was getting there. "Good, that's it" He looked at the demon, "You can help her, open the paths to your water element to her." He felt the demon comply, "Good that's it - the more you work together the more powerful the magic is," She had found the water element and was grabbing it. "Easy Chiana!" he chided, "Be gentle - Charcarus can help you more if you don't hurt him." Ito could feel her hold on his element vein soften, "Much better." She moved the power through the contract and started to shape it, "Don't say it. Chiana - shape it. Words have power but only because they are attached to ideas and things. The words are just names." Chiana struggled for a moment but opened her eyes and looked at the wound on Eiko's arm and start to reverse it. She was unsteady at first but made her uncertain way along the gash until it was healed. Ito gave the girl a nod. "I want you to keep practicing - there are plenty of people who will tell you that the terms of the contract allow you to be as harsh as you want, but you'll be much more successful if you're partners." The rest of the class went about the same way. A couple of students were naturally attuned to their demons and a couple were clearly future council members who bull dogged their demons but did manage to get their spells cast. When class ended, Ito picked up his tea cup and returned to his office with Eiko. "I do wish you would just cut me Eiko - I get it, you're used to it. But I'd like them to lean to see their demon's as partners - a few less treated badly will land us a few less who choose to be rogues." He crossed to the old, powerful demon and lifted her arm, checking that the student had healed her properly. "He looked at her face, "Next time I have to teach a healing spell, you should let me try to fix that eye." He said with a soft smile, "I bet with the right demon I can do it." The wound was old and magical and by this time was less of an injury than simply part of who Eiko was - it would be nearly impossible to fix. Nearly. But it was very much a part of her she'd have to want it fixed too.

Ito sat at his desk looking out of the open panel into the well manicured courtyard of his spell casting classroom. He checked the time. The second year spell casting students would be arriving shortly but he still had time to finish his tea. He picked up the Jade green stoneware and cupped it in both hands, leaning over it to enjoy the aroma before he took a sip. He drank as quickly as appreciating it would allow but, for a change, he'd remembered to strain the tea before he'd over steeped it and he wasn't going to waste it by swilling it. Half the class had filed into the amphitheatre that rose from the demonstration area before he stood up from the desk, and carried the cup outside with him. He set the cup on the stone bench at the edge of the main part of the courtyard and clapped three times. His hair was gathered in a ponytail that lay over his right shoulder and his robe flared dramatically behind him. "Quickly! We have a lot to do today." He chided as gently as he could and still have the young teens in place. "Yesterday we were working on casting spells now that we've learned to feel our demons' veins. This is the important part people. Casting spells is the fundamental reason for our contracts." He summoned the first of the dozen students to the demonstration floor, "Ciana, front and center." He called with an encouraging smile. "How has that healing spell come along?" "It's hard to practice, Professor Shukozan, no one's ever hurt." Professor Shukozan shook his head with a smile, "It can be used on a simple scrape from rugby practice or a shaving cut - minor injuries are excellent practice." He felt in his robes for a knife but didn't have one. Eiko @Reyna would have her sword. "Madam Eiko," he called, extending his arm, "can I get a sword cut, please - leaving my arm attached. These are only second year students..."

Not an unpopular opinion although anyone taking on English as a secondary language gets kind of a pass. And good luck on mobile. If autocorrect isn't the bane of human existence I have an idea for what is. they're, their, there. hear, here. hour and our. it's and its. And, for fucksake, people, people who are killed with a rope around their necks are fucking hanged.

That's not an unpopular opinion as far as I know.

This is kind of the question I asked about my first wife before we divorced, is it worth the investment in time, energy and emotion? For me the best thing that ever happened was her saying she didn't want to try to make it work. I just wish I'd have been wise and strong enough to see it earlier. -

Nobody knocks at my house either, but they're my family. A corporate entity controlled by a board who answer to shareholders don't need to know anything about me. No matter how valuable it is to them. As an American I realize my distrust of my government strikes most of the world as ridiculous. I think a gander at my current government might make it seem less so. We criminalize drugs, prostitution and homosexuality but excuse rape and murder. That those people can subpoena records from Google, Alphabet, Facebook etc. terrifies me. -

Slightly bummed but eternally optimistic, Will got up with surprising grace. He walked out quietly and hung a "Temporarily Out Of Service" sign on the door. -

In the bathroom, Will knelt quietly, eagerly waiting to be used like the good toilet he was. He tried hard not to, but her found himself rubbing himself through his tight, white shorts. -

Solid choice. Says the guy with 13 cm of steel stuffed in his dick. -
Herman opened the envelope excitedly and passed it over to his wife, Mia @LeonaFair. "It's here, baby - the application for the Air Tentacle and Pseudopod place." His hands were shaking with excitement. "Come on, let's fill it out." he urged, fumbling for the pen in his shirt pocket. The next morning, with the signed application and deposit enclosed in an envelope, Herman dropped it by the post office. He'd checked the address a half dozen times and checked it again before he handed it to the clerk to pay for the postage to TMRC. With the stigma still attached to tentacle monster relations, Herman had used the abbreviation and the address to have it forwarded to @JennyDK on Tentaculus IV. Now all there was to do was wait.
