  1. Where residents of Pine Heath are placed, as well as outsiders of the factions let them be vampiric and werewolf. These are your player characters you make, which are regarded as outcasts, outsiders, and/or mundane civilians or even officials/law enforcement of Pine Heath.
  2. Other Species and Limitations Pt. 1 While yes, the main focus is of Werewolves and Vampires, we'll be talking about other creatures similar to either one starting with the Danger Furries. Primarily half of the club's theme is "Wolfish" but there have been other notable canine species to be classified as supernatural. These usually involve the more wild animals these creatures take after such as coyotes, dingos, foxes, African wild dogs, and thereof. However in Pine Heath most of these subcategories of "Were-" are vastly rare and again the Wolf species are dominant in the state and surrounding regions. With this established there'll be a limit to just how many of these alternate species will actually exist and no, we won't be doing "Weredeer" or "Weregeckos" and further on. In-game, these other species would usually be treated as (unwanted/suspicious) outcasts to the Midnight Pack, however the closer to the wolf breed, the better and slightly more trusting. And just like werewolves these creatures are unable to use actual magic given their powers will conflict with magic, thus alternatively the use of alchemy and spirit tuning are widely practiced only in secret AWAY from the general public. Having that capability can attract the wrong kind of attention both vampiric, Human, wolf, and those of other interests. What about creatures like Lycans and similar? Lycans are classified as a threat to most packs, while yes they can form their own packs these are more erratic creatures whose mindsets are based are consumption and killing vs. Werewolves who are more cognitive in memory, critical Human thinking and understanding, but are still prone to natural instincts and sometimes their own bloodlust when hunting. While some Lycans (usually older) have the ability for higher intelligence when transformed, they are very unpredictable; and can only change in brutal, painful fashion under a full moon. They are still affected by silver.
  3. Sorry I've been working, still got six hours to go. ________ Whelp, you've just given an excuse to expand on lore a little! Crossbreeds between Vampires and Werewolves are extremely rare, given they are two very different species (ie. trying to get a Pac-Man Frog and a Bearded Dragon to mate, if that makes sense.). While in history vampiric werewolves have existed it's very rare and has been avoided all across the board. There's not necessarily a benefit to there being a hybrid unless it was created in such a way that the weaknesses matched the strengths. Now in regards to were- creatures, the main theme is wolves, however I'm not entirely against other species. If you're wanting to gun for coyote, dog, or similar canine species go for it, however if you're wanting to create something from another animal (bats, lizards, etc.) I'll need to look it over first.
  4. 'Cunt nuggets, are what they are.' Toshiro thought when Kari mentioned her parents being too busy. Given his checkered past, Toshiro had some heartstrings pulled at the thought of someone's parents being too busy to show up to something important in a child's life. But not all were made equal, he supposed it was a normal circumstance amongst other families. But if Takamo in all all his business around the world could show up with in chaotic scheduling, so could other's. Just as Toshiro was about to regard Kari's parents with some less than kind words he was surprised by Kari's kiss on the cheek. Containing himself and keeping some semblance of maturity, Toshiro looked down at the blushing girl and cleared his throat, giving his suit's tie a slight tug to loosen it. He was doing whatever he could to not blush, but a slight redness crept its way onto Toshiro's face just enough for him to look away in embarrassment. Say something retard! Clearing his throat further, Toshiro finally said something, "I- Um- You-" Turning around and walking away five steps the young man recollected himself, then turned back and walked up to Kari once more. His mind was overloaded with information on what the hell he should do, and finally the first thing came to mind, "Alright... You need anything before we go? Im not sure what exactly is planned, but I know your address so we can drop you off to get your stuff and then go, or we can pick you up?"
  5. Got some posts in. One for the Midnight Pack in the Gym, and one for Blackthorne in the Medical Ward.
  6. Just another day... No one to really patch up. What a drag. Deep within the confines of the Blackthorne Estate was the Medical Ward, a small series of rooms dedicated for different purposes between an actual waiting and reception lounge, examination rooms, private consultation, laboratories, and thereof. It was well maintained much like the rest of the property inside and outside, during the night it was more lively due to the undead residents of Blackthorne but during the day? Quite the opposite. It was ironically dead. The only living beings in and out of the Ward offices were the Blackthorne staff who frequently cleaned and stocked supplies. Sanitation was an absolute necessity given all sorts of patients that the doctors and nurses, known as Corpse Sowers, had to check and help if needed. But that much wasn't necessarily true for the one Grave Warden, the head doctor of the establishment. Powerful, knowledgeable, meant to be wise medical practitioners, the Grave Warden was to take all things seriously but with a lighter and chipper tone. But that much wasn't necessarily true for the one Grave Warden. It was morning in the early weeks of March, much of the snow around the estate was still present as winter wasn't quite finished with Montana. Cleaners were currently vacuuming, dusting, and wiping down the halls and rooms whilst one individual was leaned back in an office chair, headset on and controller in hand, playing a game on a large flat screen television. On the screen was the first person point of view of the man running with a rifle, taking cover in a building, and after doing a quick sweep of the rooms he went prone just hallway out of a balcony door. The character on the game would aim often and alternate between that and checking other immediate surroundings. "Yeah... No yeah, D is covered. We still got it. I- Hold on... I've got a tank and a buggie headed towards my way, pinging them now." The man in the office said into his headset's microphone. Kabiki Nasago was the head doctor of the vampiric Blackthorne Coven. Under normal circumstances he should be resting like his other undead cohorts... If only the insomnia died with his first life. Instead of sleep he was playing video games, finding the inability to dream he'd pull a triple shift on purpose until it was time to throw in the towel. On a stable next to him was a plate of several quesadillas cut up with a large side of sour cream in a bowl. And the beverage? An open can of Dr. Pepper. There was glass with a light amount of blood next to the dishes. Many had found the good doctor lazy in that regard, using an inpatients' room as his own, but, who could stop him? The master of the coven didn't care too much and the Medical Ward was closed for the time being, so why not use it?
  7. Checking in, how are things these days?
  8. "You don't have to worry about having money. Everything's paid for by everyone's favorite jackass," Toshiro jerked a thumb back to Takamo who happened to look at Kari, giving a smirk before a slight wave, "And I don't mind paying costs either. My treat, besides, I'd rather have a "burden" than not have anyone at all." Toshiro really wanted to tell Kari to quit sounding a fuckin' idiot as soon as she referred to herself as a burden. But he didn't want to be all offensive and scare the girl off. With everything said he wouldn't have offered if he thought Kari was really a burden, but then again he didn't want to cuss her either so he kept it polite. He really hated when people call themselves a burden, something about it gets under his skin. Shoving that to the back of his mind, Toshiro regarded Kari again, "So... You up?"
  9. Got that post up for Midnight characters in the gym. Took long enough. Will be working on a vamp post tonight.
  10. And thus, it was just a other day... It was another morning in the state of Montana, with the weather fluctuating between cold and warm fronts, the nights have been a tad more frigid that most worth it still being winter. The mornings are usually coldest, today reached only up to 20°F by 7 A.M. but that didn't mean there wasn't any activity. No, per usual, Pine Heath was busy between residents getting out for the early errands or to go to work, and that much could be said for the Half Moon Reserve. Closed off from the general public with the exception of hunters and hikers who had special permissions, the reserve itself had the Midnight Mansion, as it was called. Home to the Midnight Wolf Pack, much of the residents would still be asleep normally up until about 9 in the morning. Save for one of few individuals. In the large gym of the mansion was Def Leppard playing, and toward a rack of weights was a hulking individual. Shirtless and sweating on a mat below him, the gray haired man was doing pushups with a pair of 120lbs. dumbbells, and with each push-up, he'd lift one weight and set it back down before doing another and lifting the opposite. His muscles were bulky to say the least, between his arms and torso down to the lower body with only having gym shorts and Asics shoes, even his quadriceps and calves were firm and activated. Austin Windcaller, Alpha of the Midnight Pack, was busy at working out today. Skipping breakfast to build up an appropriate appetite, he'd already made plans to going to Tom's Diner afterward for David's food. Him and Nancy's. They were good people, but his mind was more focused on getting the workout finished, and as of right now he still had several reps and ten minutes to go beforehand. Unlike many other Alphas, Austin made it a point of consistently working his body to keep in shape and uphold his strength, the many times he's fought other pack leaders and came out on top because thanks to his fitness was a life saver. But by Spirit, did the pack going into heat drive him crazy. With the weather changes being... Abnormal, and the winter seasons being colder and longer, the mixed signals of nature sometimes three the Midnight into a heat frenzy. Austin stayed away, already affected by hormones and pheromones that filled the mansion to absurd levels, he tried his best not to participate. As of now he was on a break from such activities, focused on trying to have a clear mind for things such as right now, working out. And with the two hours of exercise, the Alpha was counting down the minutes he had left in this room, already excited for a nice long shower in the locker room. Sure, he could use his own personal bath, however the gym's locker room was closer and more convenient.
  11. "Meh, more or less "cleaning up" around the streets if you catch my drift. Beyond that I've been doing whatever, between the job I got and finding a hobby, it's been mild." Toshiro responded in kind, being more nonchalant but his intense gaze becoming just slightly softer. In contrast to Kari's dress, Toshiro's suit was fitted perfectly to his form. It was not tight but lightly hugged his body and his biceps somewhat strained against the sleeves. He couldn't help how Kari's outfit- No! Focus! Adjusting his collar slightly Toshiro also had to readjust his thoughts to what he was originally was over here for. He's had these stirred feelings before but that was a long, long time ago. Clearing his throat, Toshiro would continue, "It's my brother's and friend's graduation day as well. Speaking of which... My family had planned for a graduation after-party, dining, mall stuff- I guess- And other activities. I came over here to see if you'd be alright with joining us, have a bit of fun before that thing called adulting kicks you in the ass."
  12. Could have her interact with Austin in the gym? Figured that'd be a starter place, unless you got another area that seems feasible.
  13. Either or works ngl
  14. Haven't been able to get active like I wanted to due to work/illness, I should have done availability sometime soon, just not sure when
  15. Redacting this statement, I fucking hate being tired, makes me sound like a retard. I gotta edit Austin now. Which speaking of age, Werewolves can live up to 200, however the older they get the more mature they're gonna look.
  16. When she decides what role she wants, lemme know. Otherwise yes, I can have her as an Omega or something else (she'll still be part of the pack but is otherwise a freeloader)
  17. Generally Scions can fulfill any role (so long as they have the skill in said role if they're shooting for the upper ranks). If you've got any ideas for a newer rank/role you'd wanna see give me a holler Take your time, it's all good. ATM I'm at a point where my activity will possibly be mostly on my off days. It's gotten extremely difficult to do posts while at work
  18. Shoot for it bud, first come first serve
  19. //You're golden, dude. I've had many a post that were short// "You could always ask her to come along." Takamo gave Toshiro a side glance with a sly grin. Sonofabitch. Toshiro returned with his own side glance obviously looking annoyed. The younger brother didn't need to be acting like a prick but at the same time he gets up in arms when his eldest tends to get up in his business. It really wasn't Takamo's business, but... Then again, he had a point. It'd be a nice gesture and for a way to make a new friend, hell he already had friends, but with everyone working and having opposite schedules it was rare to hang out. Takamo frowned, "C'mon man, you can't be antisocial all the time. Would you rather be stuck with Kyouka and Teru? Or actually have someone that won't piss you off as much?" That... Was a good point. Toshiro could comfort around Kari, she seemed a tad gentle, sweet even, it was a stark contrast to the chaotic life he lived with Takamo, Teru, and Kyouka. Finally growing a pair, Toshiro begun making his way toward the girl heart pounding. As he walked he could feel his throat start to dry, his hands grow clammy, and his mind lingering elsewhere to potential outcomes. Mentally Toshiro steeled himself as he approached Kari with a large version of himself bullying that weaker individual called fear. "So..." Toshiro announced with a sly smirk just a mere five feet from the girl, "Either I somehow spaced it in our last conversation, or you didn't say you were Ad Victoriam."
  20. Oh geez, what a drag... The lady next to me is crying? Toshiro listened to Kari and after she finished her speech the crowd clapped loudly. The district president stepped back up into the podium announcing that they would be announcing diplomas and scholarships, between all of that mess Toshiro looked over to Takamo who was between texting on his phone and looking up to see which students were next. He was waiting for Teru and Kyouka who seemed to be toward the back of whatever waiting lift. The middle brother sighed and leaned back against his seat, looking toward Kari again in thought. Finally, Kyouka announced, being given a diploma with several scholarships read out to multiple schools in the medical field. Lucky. She worked her ass off for those grades ever since she was a little girl, to see his adopted sister receive high honors included kind of made Toshiro proud of her. And then there was Teru... Who was best up. Poor boy looked like he got his face thrashed, he took his diploma and was named for several scholarships... Abd gave a sad thumbs up. He mozied his way offstage and went to sulk behind some of his friends who'd already went, Toshiro looked to Kyouka who seemed to be beaming and upon reading her; she indefinitely was happy of her graduation, scholarships and honors, and ass whipping she delivered to Teru. "For the love of God, you figured they'd grow up, those two." Toshiro muttered. Takamo smirked and said, "Yeah but Kyouka needs an outlet and Teru's only gonna agitate her. Kinda balances it out if you ask me." Shrugging did Toshiro and Takamo stand with the rest of the crowd to clap and cheer. He was glad that this was about over- Oh God- Not the fucking after-party!!! Toshiro dreaded being stuck with his little brother, well, not so much Teru but his stupid little friends. And unfortunately Kyouka's little coven of witches would be ogling him. The eldest of the three brothers had made plans for everyone he knew to go out for a day and enjoy themselves, all expenses paid, and a lot of activities ahead. Really he just wanted to eat and go home... But then again, he couldn't pass up on an opportunity.
  21. Been a couple of minutes, anything y'all think I should add to the club? Gonna be getting some initial posts going from either of my characters for peeps to join in if they want in the meantime.
  22. How could one forget that annoying voice. God, what he'd do to not hear it again. Toshiro's impatience grew when the district president was going on and on however she finally announced the valid victorian. An lo and behold it was a particular girl Toshiro had run into a short time ago. Kari, that's a nice name, the man watched as the girl drabbed in the usual graduation gown. Huh... Cute. That was the thought bubble he had as Kari made her way up to the podium to deliver her little speech. Not too far was the group of graduates who were waiting for the word to retrieve their diplomas and awards and whatnot... Holy hell, Toshiro kind of forgot the things they do here. Diplomas... Scholarships? Scholarships. Toshiro could feel Takamo pop the bubble that kept them camouflage to a quietly waiting pair, with the older brother giving the younger a raised brow and and smirk. Please don't. Takamo was about to say something a bit coy but instead shrugged and chose not to. Already he knew that the younger brother and that girl on the podium had met which... Invoked a sense of pride? That was when Takamo whispered to Toshiro, "So I see you're out and about. Gotta say, thought you'd die a virgin." Toshiro responded, "Yeah? Turn that thought into a belief, bitch. Nothing's going on."
  23. Oof, hope you get better
  24. Under Characters Workbench in either Midnight and Blackthorne Characters are a lost of roles/ranks.
