It's nice to see this place somewhat active and full of new players. Hope everyone who's new is gonna enjoy themselves to the fullest here!

Seeming skeptical, Hiro narrows his eyes as he inspects Scylia once again with his eyes behind his glasses, gulping once in a nervous manner. Considering her offer, he looks off to the side for a few moments before looking back at her. "Okay, I'll-... I'll ask her in person, but I hope it's fair that I don't fully trust you, ma'am... After all, it all seems too... coincidental and good to be true, that we ran into each other and that you can help me and such... I'm j-just thinking rationally and realistically, is all...!" Hiro defends himself with these words, shrugging his shoulders but forces a smile, awaiting a response from the woman.

Keya seems relieved to know that Karnis is good with fleeing, but he doesn't have more to comment on that matter. Wanting to focus on his project a little bit more, he has absolutely no problem with Karnis talking to him once again. Acknowledging her cute giggle in his mind, he looked up at her as soon as she began talking once more and asking him that question, blushing on the cheeks once again. He hopes that this won't raise any suspicion. Something about the topic just bugs him. Maybe he's not great at hiding secrets, assuming he has any secret to begin with. "Ahah.. n-no, nothing scares me, not even what you.. just m-mentioned! S-speaking of Lucy, I think her wrath is one thing that scares me, but there's more to that.. I'm just afraid of people hating me, to put it simply. If I have a good friend that I know is holding some sort of grudge against me or I did something wrong and they still didn't forgive me yet, I just can't stop feeling bad about it.. Now that we're closer, you and I, expect me to act the same way to you as well.. It's just something that can't be helped, so let me know if you're ever mad at me!" He finishes talking, nervously chuckling at the end of his revealing monologue and looking over her gaze with his own, narrowing his eyes a little.

Welcome @Zelda Bloom! Hope you're gonna have lots of fun here!
-
Keya shakes his head at her first couple of questions, seeming much better now that they have moved on from that other topic. "Nah, nah, it's not weird, I was just simply worried for your safety. I won't lie to you, 'Nissie, it might be dangerous given how there's criminals out there, some of which haven't been caught yet. They do all sorts of whacko stuff and I just wouldn't want you to get caught up in something like that, you know?" He says with a sweet tone to her, indeed being worried for her safety but that's because he doesn't want someone as cute as Karnis being hurt. When discussing the topic of loudness, he let out a rather nervous chuckle and takes it on himself that he is sometimes unexpectedly loud. "I see. Well, then there's no problems, I think!" He finishes off the topic with that, looking away from her and back down at the large paper on the bed in front of him, leaning over to stick more pictures on the collage.
-
Hiro shakes his head, he idly crosses his hands, seeming to have a perplexed look on his face. "Study? I don't think she will like that, unless she herself gives you consent.. I don't want her to blame me or something for putting her up to something like that.. And, I.. also don't want something strange happening to her.. d-depends on what you mean by studying.." He worries for his zombie friend, stepping back from the woman just a little bit with a nervous expression, averting his eyes from the woman's, if her eyes were even visible in the first place.
-
At the gazer girl's first question, Keya nodded a couple of times rapidly. At her second and third questions, he got a little bit more flustered once more, looking away from her big singular eye to stare at the corner of the room while in thought. Trying not to raise suspicion with his stupidity, he looks back at her and smiles with a sharp grin, blushing on his cheeks. "Ah, we weren't in the main room b-because me and the boys helped Lucy set the place up and we decided to stay here. Besides, I'm not much of a crowd person, so it was better that way. We.. d-didn't do much, we simply hung out like we always do, that's it!" He shrugs, raising a hand to use his claws to scratch the back of his own head. Moving on from that topic, he hears her out as she speaks about the second one, then responds himself. "Oh, and you went alone? Well, I know for a fact that you can protect yourself, but I'm glad it was a safe journey!" He snickers in an amused manner once more. "That's completely fine. No need to be social or talkative to enjoy watching an event with your friends. Aren't you afraid of loud things, though? The event might be loud.. and the cheering of everyone.." He points out, curiously waiting for a reply.
-
Whilst she spoke up, he listened as always, nodding a couple of times as his question gets answered. "There's.. probably a lot of mansions around in this city, but I'm sure I won't miss it.." Hiro responds with that, forcing a slight smile. That's when her question comes his way, tilting his head slightly sideways. He looks at Gregory and then back at Scylia, raising a hand to scratch the back of his own head. "Perhaps.. a little bit, but that's normal for me, to be.. unnerved about things.. I'd like to consider myself still pretty new at.. being around monsters, despite a few months having passed already.." He murmurs a response for the woman's question, looking up at her with a pensive expression, hoping that suddenly he's not in trouble for anything.

Hello and welcome to both the site and this club @Kitsuyumia! Hope you will enjoy your time here! Don't be afraid to ask any questions here in the OOC thread ^^ Hm, I think I'll keep my Janitor, if that's okay. If I remember correctly, he's the only Staff character I have, right? I presume not everyone will see this message of yours, so I suggest tagging people or messaging them privately.

Keya looks up at her once more as she replies, slightly widening his eyes at her question. Pretty sure the academy must've had some sort of arena event last year as well, assuming these events take place yearly, but that's besides the current point. Keya's cheeks turn red, seeming to get a little flustered about something, however it doesn't seem like he has much of a problem talking about it. "Ah, yes, I went! I was hanging out with.. Lucy and the others in the backroom, where she had set up her DJ set! What about you, were you there?" He asks in return, keeping the conversation going as a drop of cold sweat rolls down his temple. Oh, the memories he's getting, they're surely spicy. About the upcoming fighting event, he doesn't have much to say, other than "Yeah, could be fun! I'm sure everyone's gonna wanna see some action, so we can all go together, you, me, Lucy, Ruben, and the others!" He smiles at her, admiring how she's bobbing her head, but he doesn't want to get too distracted so he looks back down to continue working on his own collage. Unlike Karnis, Keya's small pictures have nature on it, but some of them were a gray rocky landscape, similar to something of a very hot active volcanic mountain area. Must be how his home looks like.
-
Hiro jotted down more things into his notebook, his heart definitely beating in a higher pace than usual, but it calms down towards the end there, deciding to hold back on the whole emotion thing, noticing how Scylia doesn't really react to it. Not that he purposefully chose to act this way in front of her, but that's just him being human. He lowers the notebook and looks up at her, sighing once. "That's okay. You've told me plenty of things that are quite useful, ma'am. Whether or not I knew of them already, it doesn't matter because at least I was able to confirm that they're actually true, uhm.. assuming I can trust your word.." He raises a brow at the woman. "Forgive me for asking but.. a-are you.. a human?" The human boy puts away his notebook and fixes his glasses on his face once again, his eyes darting between her and the wrapped up thing she calls Gregory.
-
Keya raises a brow at Karnis while she explains, snickering after she finishes and looking back down at the project to continue work on it, whilst responding without any problems. "Heh, so it's another fighting event at the arena? You know, I didn't think you'd be the type to like fighting or action, given how cute and innocent you seem, but that's not a bad thing!" He mentions, letting out a small chuckle at the end of his words, looking back up at her and pausing the work on the project for just a little bit. "While it's something I'd go to and watch, I wouldn't participate in it myself. I don't do all that much fighting, because I'm afraid that I might fall out of control and hurt people that I love and care about, whether or not somebody is there to make sure it doesn't happen... My feral form is larger than ten times the size of this room, after all..." He sighs with a pensive expression on his face after having said that with a worried and caring tone, turning his attention back at the project and resumes working on it once again.
-
Hiro fidgets a little bit in his movements, stumbling slightly as he took a small step to the side, only because he was trying to take out his notebook and pen again from where he stored it earlier, placing the books that he read to the side and at the speed of near sound, he'd be jotting down everything that she says. Every now and then he nods and even mumbles out a quiet "Mmmhmm" or an "Uhuh" despite already knowing some of the things that Scylia spoke of. Still, he most definitely learned something new and interesting, clicking the end of the pen and finishing writing it all down as soon as she finishes explaining, looking back up at her. "I see.. well, my friend, she is... I'd like to say quite 'evolved' in the moral and emotional stand points.. She's pretty aware of the world around her, though she doesn't seem to remember her past.. Still, she is quiet and kind and-.. honestly, I already feel weird talking behind her back, but I hope she will appreciate that I was just trying to find out more about her kind.." He rambles, looking away at a random spot for a moment as he thinks. "Her emotions are quite clear to me, actually.. She gets flustered whenever there's.. s-some sort of physical closure, she gets less shy and cheerful whenever I speak to her.. a-and she gets upset whenever I ask her about--.." He doesn't finish his sentence, looking back up as he seems to have realized something. "--A-ah, err, speaking of which.. she thinks that I don't accept her the way she is, every time I offer her or ask her about what if she was able to eat and drink things, or if there's even a slight possibility of her being able to do that in the future.. I j-just.. I think I was being too pushy in that regard and I should just forget it.." Changing the topic yet again because he's trying not to see Scylia as a sort of therapist, though she can stop him and his words, in case she has anything to add so far. "..You said they have no pulse? Uhm, s-sometimes I feel like her skin getting warmer and not from my own touch, she can also blush on the face like anyone else, and sometimes I even feel a pulse or a heart at her chest, b-but t-t-that really must be either my own heart, or my imagination. M-most likely both.." He's usually not stuttering this much when speaking, but here he is. The topic must've struck something in him, though he doesn't really know that Scylia doesn't care about his emotions, or she just doesn't know.
-
Keya remained seated the same way as before and looked at Kawnis with the warmest smile as she responded, being glad himself that he could put a smile on her face despite their previous strange interactions in class, but soon he notices that she pulls out her project and starts working on it, jumping a little bit in his bed as a faint blush appears on his cheeks, clearly having pretty much forgotten about the project because of the good time he was having. He hops off the bed and turns around, kneeling up onto it at the end of it, carefully as it was rather bouncy and such, grabbing his own large paper and then the smaller pictures he had prepared, starting to slowly work on the collage by by gluing the small pictures, slowly forming a shape that is yet to be revealed. Raising his head as he knelt like that on the bed, he raises a hand as well to put some strands of his blonde hair behind his pointy ear, but to no avail as after a few seconds they fall back again. "Event? What event? I usually don't keep up with school events, to be honest with you, but you can tell me about it." Keya smiled at her, examining her large eye for a moment before directing his attention back at the collage, making sure he doesn't mess it up with his claws or anything of that sort.

I hope everyone reading this is having a nice day/afternoon/evening/night! I miss this being active.
-
Hiro tilts his head at the woman, furrowing his brows and squinting his eyes, though not in a judgmental manner. "R-Really? I thought it would be viewed differently, considering monsters are around and they exist and such.." He murmurs, looking off to the side for just a moment, before shaking his head as he dismisses the topic. Fulfilling Scylia's wishes, he keeps his tone quiet and moves onto the main topic at hand. "Precisely, well.. everything in terms of how zombies function. What they can and can't do both from a physical and moral standpoint.. and an emotional one, like.. love.. b-but not because that's what I'm seeking, o-of course! Just.. curious! I'd l-like to understand my friend m-more!" His face becomes rather red after saying that, only after he said it realizing that it can be misinterpreted in many ways.
-
Keya remained seated and turned to the side so that he is still able to look at Karnis whilst she was laying on the bed, his thick but soft green scaled tail behind him was practically right next to her, but he made sure to have it not be in the way just in case it would disturb her or anything of that sort. "Yes, really! I'm 200% certain that others see you the same way as I do, that being really adorable. Just because I and Lucy like you, doesn't mean others don't! Back to the hair topic, you should continue going the same route and pick whatever feels natural for you. In case anyone makes a nasty comment, just ignore them, or tell it to me, I'll slap 'em with my tail." He said that last part in a rather joking but confident manner, though a glint in his eye indicates that he would probably do it. Even though they just now started to properly converse with each other, Keya already feels like Karnis is precious and must be protected. This is probably the same effect she had on Lucy. Keya is known to be flirtatious with girls, but in public he never really did it in such a sweet way that he currently did with Karnis. All the more reason to believe that he is supposedly a better person in private, considering nothing broke so far.
-
Hiro tilts his head up at the woman in a perplexed manner, responding to her first words. "Uhm, I s-see... Thing is, that's what Jiangshi are described as, but I can assure you that I am not confusing anything... I know for a fact, that they're a type of zombie, but their name translates to vampire..." He said so in an intellectual tone, though certainly not in his intentions to flaunt his knowledge, as it is most likely much more limited than Scylia's. After her second sentence, he looks around, not seeing many people around all that much, so he seems rather confused of what she said just now. "H-How so...? Seems like a pretty secluded place to me, h-heh..." He gives off a slight nervous chuckle, stepping back from the woman just in case she tries anything funny, leaning over to use a single hand of his to slide the multiple open books towards his way, whilst he closes the book in his own hand, now standing there patiently. If this were his first day around creepy people or monsters, he probably would've run off by now.
-
Keya shows more of his sharp teeth in a thankful manner at her first sentence, moving along from that topic as he tilts his head at her and carefully listens to what she had to ask him, a gentle smile on his visage. "Honestly, I think it looks really good in any way. Pigtails, twintails, personally I'm all in for that, but even if you kept it down or you kept it in a big ponytail, it would look just as cute! You've got nice, long hair to work with, girl, so make sure you take good care of it, okay?" He spoke to her in such a sweet way, despite the two of them never properly interacting before. Keya most likely never planned on being in the same team with Karnis in a school project, but in a way he is super glad that that's what happened. In his own head, even he acknowledges that he must be going a bit too swiftly with the whole friend thing. At best they are only classmates or acquaintances, but his intention definitely isn't to scare Karnis away with his words. Nonetheless, he waited for her response, all the while he gave her a warm smile.
-
After he is approached by the lady with the robe, Hiro can't help but to shudder a little bit as he looks up at her, Scylia clearly being taller than him. Nevertheless, her being somewhat of a human to Hiro, he doesn't really get anxious or anything and after a couple seconds of silence, he speaks up, holding the book downwards. "Ah, uhmm, yeah... I have a Chinese hopping vampire friend and.. I am trying to find out as much as possible about her type... and about zombies in general..." He looks back down at the book, his cheeks blushing slightly from the looks of it. This friend he is talking about must mean a lot to him, given how he reacted. Strange.
-
In the corner of Hiro's eye, he notices the two rather eerie looking figures, though like any other cautious person, he avoids chatting them up. He was holding in his hand one of the many books of necromancy, affixing his glasses on his face with one of his hands while he holds the book in his other, looking through the pages rather swiftly. Next to him on the little free spot of the shelf, there seems to be a few books that are opened up already, with the human boy standing in front of it. He raised his head for just a moment as the woman spoke, but looks back down into the book and skims through the lines with his eyes. For a moment, his expression shows distress, as he doesn't seem to be finding what he's looking for. "Ghosts, ghosts, ghosts... Nghh..." He looks through the pages as a cold droplet of sweat runs down his temple. He clicks his tongue in a slightly annoyed fashion. "Jiangshi, zombies, undead, vampires... Mmrmmm..." That is all that is audible from him, until he murmurs one last thing after a quick gasp. "Here we go... Jiangshi... Chinese something something, I already know that... Nghhh... Where is it...?" He squints his eyes, still not seeming to truly find what he's looking for.
-
Keya shifts in his seat, so that he can get a better look at her as she changes the way she is on the bed. He obviously didn't mind her laying down, so he'd continue to look at her intently as she responds, his expression growing pensive as her tone got sad at the end. Even so, he chuckles and shakes his head. "Nah, she's not your only friend. Whether you like it or not, we are friends now!" He said so in a once again pretty confident tone, smirking at her. Before she gets to respond though, he does add one more thing. "Oh, and you're not weird, stop saying that! Nothing about you is weird, 'Nissie! Hell, I'll even go as far as to say that you're the cutest lil' monster ever! Those pigtails add to that cuteness!" He grins, trying to share some of his confidence with her by complimenting her and her hairstyle, even gesturing towards it a bit with his hand as he says so, eyeing her and patiently waiting for her reaction.

I decided to start up the scene in the City of Sunveil thread! I hope you like it, and I hope you can bounce off from it easily. ^^

* * * On a normal afternoon.. if any point of a day can even be called normal with monsters being around and such.. a human from Ironclaw Academy, known as Hiro to surprisingly a lot of people around, was walking alone in the city. He wouldn't do it if he had no reason to, but his motivation was books. He had to find more specific books about all kinds of monsters, because he heard more exists in a nearby public library. This library may be much smaller than the one found in the academy, but it surely can have a few new edition books and such, and some older ones as well that the library in the academy somehow didn't have. After entering the place, he'd immediately try and find the N section of the place, where he can find any book that starts with an N. In this case, he tries to find anything that is related to necromancy and the undead. If he doesn't find it in the N section, he tries other sections such as the U one or the D one. Regardless, it's definitely not in his plans to meet anyone new.. @JennyDK

To her response, Keya chuckles, then shakes his head. "No need for that, I won't go too high or too fast. You can trust me!" He said so, proudly, pointing at himself with a thumb as he puffed out his chest, looking over to her rather smugly. "We can talk about that later, anyhow. Tell me about Lucy, is she really your best friend? She's one of my best friends too, but what makes you like her so much? I noticed you have admiration for her!" He says his last sentence in a rather teasing manner, leaning towards Karnis a little bit as he smirks.
