  1. Uff... After three different breakdowns of my college's online systems, I've finally managed to sign up for my classes. What this means is that in the next couple hours I'll at last have time to respond to y'all. But enough about me; How are things for you, people?
  2. The grammar nazis executed him for not capitalizing the first letter in a sentence.
  3. Free from the gazer's clutches. Lucy stood herself up, with smile giving Karnis an affectionate pat on the head. "Thy kindness shall not be understated, Lady Karnis!" she laughed, stretching her limbs as she managed to gather herself up. Headed for the snacks bag, she lowered herself to gather the pillows from the floor and throw them onto the bed, freeing up some space in the already quite packed room. She raised an eyebrow at the sound of the excitable girl. "Hmm? Makovers?" Lucy thought for a second. "I don't have any makeup, but we could give you a new hairdo. You'd look absolutely adorable in twin-tails!" she asserted, giving Karnis a smile and an inquisitive look, before scanning the room for that one hot plate she still had stoved in somewhere. "Or- you could give me a makeover," she proposed, pulling out both the plate and a pot to make the popcorn in. "...or a couple! I'm easily moldable!" The slime-girl winked.
  4. Victor laughed heartily at Troy's embarassment. "Don't worry, it's only natural we make presumptions. Trust me, most monsters are not used to being around humans as much as you aren't used to being around them." He reassured before considering librarian's question. "Most magic classes begin later into the year, so you won't have much luck finding teachers right now. Currently, I think, only Luanna is at school. She's skilled in illusion, if that's what you need." "As for ancient languages, I could help with latin, but I presume you mean the Ancient language. Hmm... I know it sounds weird, but the nurse, Penelope, could maybe help you. She's a thousands-years-old mummy, so she may have some first-hand experience. It's just a presumption, so don't take my word for it." Victor chuckled. "Mind if I ask what you need it for? Myrddin left some runes around the library?" An entertained grin appeared on his face.
  5. "Welp, if you're serious about that mercy, get off, or you'll suffocate me," Lucy teased, with a wide grin giving Karnis two theatrical light pats on the leg, signaling her wish to be set free. Her slime body might be quite comfy, but she breathes through it after all. Of course, the fact that the gazer's weight didn't make that too much harder for her didn't stop Lucy from using it as an argument. She could of course free herself quite easily, but where was the fun in that? No matter whether released or not, Lucy continued onto her other thought, forming a plan for tonight. "Alright, so that leaves: Watching movies, eating snacks, and..." she lowered her voice for dramatic effect. "Girly talk... but," she returned to her usual tone, "...by my decree, we're leaving that for the end! Meaning you need to climb onto Netflix and find us a film while I make popcorn." Lucy winked, and gestured with her head towards her laptop.
  6. The more the headmistress teased, the harder it was for Anpu to find the resolve to refuse. Her heart was beating at a quickened rate, the burning in her loins starting to become unbearable. Why was the headmistress of all people getting her so flustered? Anpu tugged at the bowtie at her neck, feeling that it was tied a bit too tightly. She swallowed, trying to meet Veronica's gaze, and finding it hard to raise her eyes from the tasty looking bulge at her crotch. In a burst of willpower, she forced herself to look up at the headmistress, and opened her mouth, ready to give a valiant protest, just to let out a quiet "I... probably shouldn't..."
  7. "Well as long as her grades stay steady, I don't really mind her frequency. But thank you." He smiled. "Luther's a vampire. He usually stays in his classroom until nightfall, so you shouldn't have trouble finding him." Victor listened to Troy's experiences with the Anubis, interested to hear a fresh perspective on the academy. It was good to have some fresh blood around every so often. Things would get boring otherwise. He scratched his chin at the librarian's request, thinking a while before responding. "That's good advice. Keep your eyes and mind open. Don't let succubi drag you to bed. Don't piss off dragons. Oh, and careful with ghosts and other spirits, they can be a pain. I think we have some seals to keep them corporeal, but you'll have to ask the headmaster," he listed, before his mind shifted to the orientation lesson he conducted this morning. "If you want some names, there's the LuBelle sisters from my class - identical demon triplets with telepathic powers. You'll know them when you see them. There's also another demon, Zadria. Smells of cigarettes. She's not a bad person, but she's... troubled. Just be patient with her and don't let her set anything on fire," he warned, and fell silent, thinking if there was anyone else worth noting. "I think that's all I can tell you right now," he concluded.
  8. Victor smiled at Troy's words. Yeah. His first day here was also quite overwhelming. He listened in silence, as they finally reached the car. At least it was still standing there. "Oh, Anpu? Haven't you met her?" Victor questioned, recalling that it was her whom he linked with one of the smells that he felt from Troy. He leaned back on his car, finding it a good place to continue the conversation, and looked into the sky for a moment, trying to recall what he knew about the girl. "Well, never had problems with her myself. Does her homework, passes her tests..." he thought for a while, and focused back on Troy, folding his arms in front of his chest. "Myrddin did call her up to the library every now and again, but it's hard for me to say how she felt about him. Aside from all that 'master' business, but Luther says it's a cultural thing." Victor shrugged. "...Luther's our Monster Society teacher," he explained after a second, realizing that Troy probably didn't know the rest of the staff too well yet. "Maybe she just got used to him. I think she's been an assistant since her very first year here. Plenty of time."
  9. Victor smiled at the man's assurance, glad to hear that no bad blood was brought between them. Troy looked - and smelled - like a fine fellow, and appeared certainly more reliable than that old crank Myrddin who's been ruling the library for the past years. The werewolf didn't take the man's reference to the curse too heavily though, assuming that it was just the librarian's personal conviction. He wasn'tt really one to blame him. Victor himself couldn't be brought to even get a mobile phone, so he was not in any position to judge. "Suit yourself. Ol' girl haven't failed me yet," he smirked, pressing the button on the side of the key to light up mentioned car - as much for dramatic effect as for simply finding his ride. Nothing happened. He frowned and pressed it again. Nothing. "Great, the battery died," he muttered to himself, slightly annoyed by the occurence. "Well, not really proving my point, huh?" he smirked, not wanting something like that to bring his day down. He put the keys back in his pocket, and adjusted his jacket, the motion bringing out some confidence in him. "How do you like it around here? I know it can get pretty overwhelming, y'know, with all the monsters around," he inquiried, nodding for the man to follow as he made his way down the park.
  10. Librarian. Of course. That's where he knew the name from! Edgar - or was it Veronica? - left a list of staff changes for everyone to familiarize themselves with before they left. Troy's name must have been somewhere there. And then there was that librarian's girl that asked to be excused from class earlier today. That's where that third smell must have came from! It was all starting to make hell' lot more sense. Victor gave the man an apologetic smile, realizing that his behaviour had not been exactly welcoming. "Glad to meet you too, Troy. Excuse my initial suspicions, I've forgotten we've been having staff changes," he justified, keeping his hand extended for a while longer, should Troy want to shake it, then nodded at his assumption. "That's right. I've been teaching history around here for the last few years." he confirmed, before adding: "I'm also the homeroom for the 3rd years this semester." Vicotr glanced towards the parking lot, still giving Troy most of his attention, but continuing in his motions of searching for his vehicle. His hand dove into the pocket, managing to produce a set of car keys out of it. "Where are you headed, Troy? I could give you a lift," he proposed, looking back at the librarian.
  11. Havershan. The name rang some bells, but Victor couldn't quite put a hand on it. He was almost confident that he didn't have any Havershans in his class, but maybe some first-years...? "Pleasure. Victor Marlowe, historian," he introduced himself in a rather harsh tone, and extended his hand, eyeing the man with suspicion. Now that he was up-close with the stranger, his nose picked up a few additional smells. A rather... bovine smell, probably from the janitor, Victor noted, Other than that; A faint hint of Veronica's perfume, and... someone else's scent, weirdly familiar, and quite surprisingly strong. Victor frowned, and, realizing that he spent the last few seconds in silence examining the palette of smells, spoke up, now in a more relaxed voice - at least he knew that the man had met Veronica, which probably meant he had clearance to be on school grounds. "Ekhm- Mind if I ask what exactly do you do here, Mr. Havershan?" he asked, hoping to finally get some understanding on whom he was speaking to.
  12. Suggestion: Could we have a place for staff's (and other characters') houses/dwellings like students have dorms? I feel like giving only students a 'private' place to roleplay in is quite limiting, and expanding that onto other characters would open up some interesting possibilities.
  13. Alright, started the scene, now gonna quickly hit the shower, and hopefully respond when I get back.
  14. Victor stepped out of the school building for the second time today. The first time he did, he double-backed in belief that he left his coat in the office, but then realized that he was stuck in his suit the entire day, so he had to leave his favourite piece of apparel at home. He made a quick mental checkup of all the things he had to take with him. Folder - check, wallet - check, car keys? He patted down his pocket, feeling out the rough shape through the material. Check. It seems he was set. Should probably pick up some aspirin on the way home, he reminded himself, mindlessly making his way in the general direction of where he parked his car. Or at least, where he thought he parked his car. He sighed, and reached to his pocket, hoping to get out his keys and signal the vehicle, when an unfamiliar smell hit his nostrils. Masculine. A bit sweaty. It wasn't any of the teachers and it smelled a bit too mature for any of the students as well, even for the third-years. Victor frowned. This was school's - private - property, parents weren't allowed here. He stopped in place. "Can I help you, sir?" he asked out loud, an accusatory hint in his voice, looking around, trying to pin-point where exactly he felt the man @Thatannoyinggod come from. [ OOC: Hope you don't mind that I set you up a bit ]
  15. Alright, I'll set the scene in the Courtyard in the afternoon, after the school day has ended.
  16. We can start it now and continue tomorrow. Do you want to initiate or should I?
  17. The historian, Victor, is free from my side. Maybe he could run into Troy? I'll likely go to sleep soon though, so I doubt we'd get too deep into it today.
  18. Lucy's smile only widened at the adorable sound made by the gazer. She tightened her arms around the girl for a second, wanting her to feel how strongly she cares for her, and still with a smirk on her face, listened to what her friend had to say. "Well you'll have to make up your mind, or I'm gonna be forced to consider this a draw!" the slime-girl winked, grinning widely, just before falling into yet another joy-induced burst of laughter, throwing her head back and shaking lightly on the floor with her friend in her embrace. It took her a moment to calm down with a longer sigh, after which she released Karnis from the affectionate clutches of her arms, which she folded behind her own head, giving the girl a curious look. A smile danced on her face at the retort, and the hug that followed. "Well then, bud, shall we cross pillow fighting off the list?"
  19. Better than yesterday, worse than tomorrow Pretty well all things considered. You?
  20. The way Veronica positioned herself caused Anpu's eyes to almost mechanically go towards the headmistress' crotch and widen at what she saw. She subconsciously licked her upper lip, betraying that perhaps there was a bit more to her gaze than just scientific curiosity. The teasing was clearly having an unusually strong impact on her, and now, the implication of actually getting physical seemed to put the Anubis in a rather conflicted state. "Uhm... I've got lessons.. in ten minutes, Miss... De Parnacel," she uttered, clutching the back of her hand coyly. "Maybe I could just... umm... take a... quick look?" she asked rather quietly, the rationality in her mind screaming that she would most definitely come to regret this suggestion, whereas the heat in her loins begged to differ. Well, coming to class in such an agitated state would not be any good either, it argued, and Anpu found it particularly hard to disagree with.
  21. "Thank you. I'll... be glad to oblige!" Anpu responded, trying not to read too much into the headmistress' suggestive comment, but her expression betrayed that she wasn't at all oblivious to what Veronica was getting at. Well, were she not a headmistress... she found herself considering, her mind moving to wander once again, this time towards less scholarly subjects. She stared at the woman across from her for a second or two longer, her gaze slightly clouded by the thought, but then quickly averted the gaze, well aware that what her mind had been suggesting was most certainly not respectable behavior of a student of the Academy. But then, what happened between her and Master Havershan wasn't exactly exemplary either... The Anubis squirmed in her seat, unsure if it were mannerly of her to excuse herself already. Her eyes returned to the demoness after what had been a longer period of silence. "Umm... right. I'll ask Master Havershan to call you, Miss De Parnacel, as soons as we're ready to do it.. The seal, I mean."
  22. Lucy felt the pillow in her hands slip, the momentum working against her, as Karnis dived forwards straight into her. Caught by surprise, the slime-girl stumbled a few feet backwards, her lips parting slightly in surprise, before landing softly on her butt, her body cushioning the fall of the little gazer on top of her. It took her a second of silence to realize what happened, after which she burst into laughter, wrapping her arms around the girl. "Is this the part where I pray for mercy?" she asked between her breaths, her hand playfully ruffling Karnis' hair. There wasn't anyone else that Lucy cared as much as she did about Karnis, and being able to see the joy on the gazer's face was a reward in itself for the goo-girl. "You natural goofball~" she teased with affection, and hugged her tightly.
  23. "I'm... not sure, to be honest," Anpu admitted after hearing Veronica's suggestion. She shifted in her seat, thinking for a moment. "From my understanding most elemental magic falls under the category of arcane, and since what the spell needs is just the arcane energy, it could potentially work," she considered out loud, drifting away as her thoughts shifted to a familiar topic. The more she thought about it, the more confident she felt in the idea. She caught herself daydreaming and shook it off, blushing some more under the headmistress' gaze. "I-if you'd be so kind, of course," she quietly added, hoping that she didn't appear too unrespectful.
