Icarian Dreams

Anpu's ears perked up, her motions stopping in an instant as her entire body froze at the sound of the knock. It was only after the second one that she managed to shake off the stupor, and respond to whomever it was at the door. "O-one second!" she exclaimed between two deep breaths, her voice shaking in result of having her playtime interrupted. Her eyes panically scouted the room, her mind blanking from the agitation. "Who is it? What do they want? Is it Master Havershan? Did he hear me?" Thoughts raced in her head, her heartrate increasing in pace, as her hand tightened on the vest. The cogs in her head slowly started to turn again, causing her to quickly gather hereself and open the chest next to her bed, slipping the vest inside. She scrambled off the bed, onto her feet, and, with an audible tapping of her toes on the floor, rushed to take a towel off a nearby chair and wrap it around herself. The tapping repeated as she raced towards the door, clutching the towel tightly, yet stopping in her tracks for a moment as she glanced towards the bed. She blushed heavily, and quickly covered the damp sheets with a blanket that she usually slept under. Finally, after this flurried minute or so, she reached the door, opening it for her visitor.

Lucy lowered herself to embrace the small form of the gazer girl, her arms wrapping around in a slick, slimy, yet particularly warm hug. Her fingers ran through the gazer's hair, playfully ruffling it, as a stream of words flew out of the cute little monster's mouth. Karnis' excitement brought a wide smile to her face. "Just got us something to munch on," Lucy chuckled. "Don't worry, I can keep up all night. You'll have to guide me through that sleepover thing though," she decided, giving Karnis a gentle boop on the nose, before releasing her from the embrace. "You know waaay more about this than I do!" She rose back to her feet, and moved towards the door, picking up Karnis' things from the ground, and produced the keys from the back pocket of her shorts and unlock the door. She smiled, and motioned for the gazer to enter, following right after.

Alright, that sounds good! Let me know how you want to set it up @Godot! I think that may be a good idea. We have the scene with Lucy/Karnis in the meanwhile!

Yeah, it's honestly not really that big of a deal. So I guess consider all my characters open :^ I remember that Jenny also wanted a scene. Alright people, form a queue! Anubi librarian is on the menu tonight!

I mean, Anpu had been withheld from play more or less because of that.

Yeah, it was more of my own decision to keep a relative track of what, to whom, and when are things going on. It's my attempt to avoid having a character be in two places at the same time, or do something against the chronological order. That said, if I want to actually get to play some of my characters, I think I'll have to forfeit that :v

I was intending not to use Anpu until the next day of lessons officially starts (since her day was pretty much finished), but at this point I'm starting to doubt that's going to happen :v

Hello again from 4 hours later!

Lying on her bed, her nose in the pages of an ancient tome, Anpu didn't even notice as the hours passed by. Studying the grimoire proved quite difficult with what little she still remembered from when she studied Ancient and only the cryptic translation notes left by Master Illrean (did he really have to handwrite them?), but she was nevertheless overjoyed by the possibility to finally indulge in the lecture of such an ancient text - and the prospect of finally having a real chance to learn magic - something that had been on the girl's mind for quite a while now. There would be nothing unusual about that scene - after all, most of the time Anpu spent with her nose in one book or another - if not for the fact that the girl was stark naked and clearly aroused. Her hands were shaking ever so slightly as she turned the pages, her red nipples almost poked holes in the soft surface of the mattress, and the sheets below her were clearly damp from sweat and... other bodily fluids. Thankfully, the delicate pages of the texts before her were not in danger from said wetness, as a protective charm laid in a thin translucent layer over them, causing any fluids to flow down the pages, and letting the books remain in pristine condition. The reason for said unexpected indecency would be clear to most people whom had encountered her today. The poor girl just went into heat, causing her libido to practically skyrocket. The fact that her memory kept coming back to both of her intimate encounters today didn't really help with her problem, but instead caused her cheeks to burn with a bright red flush, and her mind to wander away from the divine symbols of Anubi rituals. Although she had managed to get through a large portion of the introductory part of the book, it was clear that in this state, she wouldn't get much more done. She sighed into the air, and closed the tome before her slowly, making sure to remember which page she finished on. She then did the same with the smaller set of translations notes, and leaned to the side, to place both tomes right next to an old ornate chest. Her hand hovered for a moment above the books, a feeling of guilt running through her mind. "Fuck... Did I really let two people I just met..." She turned in her bed, pushing her head deep into the pillow, almost as if she were trying to shield herself from the thoughts. "Well it wasn't just any people," she tried to justify herself, but a small part of her was confident that even if she had met someone else, it could have still ended the same way. Anpu wasn't sure whether the thought brought in her more shame or arousal. She groaned into the material, and turned to the side, almost machinally extending her arm to grab a rather elegant vest from the other half of the bed, and bringing it close to her face. She inhaled deeply. It still smelled like him @Thatannoyinggod... The scent of his body and perfume, mixing with her own arousal filling the air, caused her hand to quickly go down her body, her fingers with ease finding their way between the slightly parted folds of her sex. "Mmm... Master Havershan..." she moaned quietly, the red on her cheeks deepening from her own lewdness, as her digits dove deeper, her imagination picturing the form of the librarian standing over her, giving her just what she needed. The anubis closed her eyes, letting the rest of her senses strengthen the image in her mind. Her fingers increased in pace...

And merely a minute later, Lucy joins the gazer. She looks happy, yet slightly tired, her moves a bit more sluggish than usual. It seems that she didn't take much care to change, instead simply zipping up her usual leather jacket, and pulling on a pair of shorts she wore earlier this day, to make sure she wouldn't get arrested for public indecency. A set of the usual headphones rests on her ears, causing her body to shake to the beat of some obnoxiously loud metal track playing from her phone. Located under her arm, a stuffed canvas bag of what can only be a multitude of sweets, hangs enticingly - Lucy barely managed to buy them, as most of the shops were closing down around this hour. As soon she spotted Karnis before her door, her face immediately lightened up, a warm smile widening on her slimy face. During her race to the shop, she lost the track of time, so the sight of her little friend already at the door was quite a pleasant surprise. "Hey buddy! I hope I didn't make you wait too long!" she exclaimed - calmly enough not to startle the girl - and lowered herself slightly, extending her arms to invite the gazer into a hug.

Alright. First of all: I don't think we should argue about semantics. Call it godmodding, call it OP, whatever your character is, it's way beyond the power level of the setting and is most certainly not fitting as a student character in this universe. Second of all: The fact that there is plenty of fiction about overpowered characters doesn't mean that it's fair to play one in a public roleplay. There's a multitude of differences between an author writing literature, and someone writing a roleplay with other people. You could consider the latter more as a game, where players have to cooperate and respect each other. Ecchidreams has a great guide on etiquette of roleplaying, which Neptune linked a few posts back. If you read it, hopefully you'll understand why exactly is your behaviour unacceptable. Third of all: Whatever drawbacks your character suffered from his deeds does not diminish or justify them in any way. The consequences you've described are just flavor at best, and do not reduce the power of your character in any way. If anything, they just make him edgy. Besides, the "god-killing" thing is only one of multiple issues with your content. You significantly more abilities than any other student (despite the rules forbidding that), your described powers are too powerful (omniscience, time control), you refuse to follow the format of your character sheet, and, although that is a matter of personal opinion, your character appears bland, edgy, and one-dimensional. You have a lot of work before what you posted becomes playable in this roleplay. The best advice I can offer is either to write him from ground up, or look for a high power-level roleplay, where such characters are more suitable.

Your character literally destroyed a universe and killed all the deities (whatever they are) in it. If that's not godmodding I don't know what is. And trust me, no amount of mental ilnesses will change anything. Your character is vastly overpowered, and, to my mind at least, a prime example of a Gary Stu. I'd recommend reading through the entirety of what @Neptune posted. It's a great compendium of avoiding the cliches and making sure that everyone (yourself included) enjoys the roleplay.

Howdy people! My weekend's going to be a bit busy I'm afraid, since I've got family coming over Truth be told, I've been honestly a bit burnt out by this club's roleplay since the past couple days (hence my inactivity), so my apologies to everyone I've been writing with for not responding

Lucy groaned slightly at Karnis' inquisitiveness. Her intention was never to imply what transpired between her and the dragon, and she expected that Karnis would be one to understand that just spending time with another expressive person can be sometimes straining. She decided to try and let that topic rest. Reading the rest of the message, she practically laughed out loud at the elaborate disquisition regarding sleepovers that Karnis has produced. A few swift messages were sent to Karnis' device. Hahah :D Sure thing! Just give me a minute to restock on sweets and we'll have the best sleepover evah!

It was sometimes easy to forget that Karnis didn't really know people well. Even the ones from her class. The slime-girl replied to the message, glad that the girl couldn't see the slight blush on her face through the device. He's always so energetic It's hard to keep up sometimes >.< She then quickly followed up on the question, in a surprisingly lengthy (at least for her) message. Contrary to Karnis, she was usually much less verbose in texts than usually. Idk whatever you want! we can watch something or just chat. Or you could help me mix some tracks :D She looked to the side, at the stack of musical equipment on her desk. She was actually working on a set of music tracks for each of her friends, though the project was still in really early stages. The original intention was to have a different genre for everyone, but it was hard to find the sounds of actual instruments, so so far Lucy kept to making mostly electronic music.

Lucy smiled wider, seeing the message pop up on her screen. Hearing that Karnis was well also took some worry off her mind. She replied instantaneously: ikr :D I'm doin' well! Keya was just around so I'm a bit exhausted lol Her fingers stopped for a moment before quickly tapping in another message. Lemme know if you wanna do something together :)

An hour or two later... Lucy closed the door behind the dragon, a faint grin lingering on her face betraying how enjoyable she found their encounter. However, her train of thought was now on vastly different rails. A little slugishly, she turned to the sea of boxes littering her floor, trying to recall which one it was she was looking for. After about third try, she managed to find a set of fresh sheets to replace the ones Keya took to cleaning in one of them. After a minute or so, having made the bed, she sat down on its edge, bringing out her phone, and lighting it up. The screen still showed the controls of a bluetooth speaker that was currently playing a soft, relaxing beat somewhere in the background. Her finger hovered above the display, as she thought on whether to turn it off or not, but eventually, she swiped the application away, leaving the music playing as it was. She pushed her backself onto the bed, her legs following soon after, bringing her entire body onto the mattress. The pillow wrapped itself softly around her head as she turned to the side, placingthe phone next to her, cursing silently at the device as the screen rotated into a horizontal mode. She took a moment to switch it back, and brought up her contact list. It didn't take her long to find the entry labeled - no surprises there - Lil' K, @JennyDK and press it, opening up the messenger window. The slime-girl thought for a moment, then sent two quick messages to the gazer girl. Sup K! How's my favourite gazer doin'? :) She subconsciously smiled as she wrote the emoticon, always thinking warmly about the girl, then waited for a moment with her phone in hand, seeing if Karnis would view the message.

I have no idea She has only few friends, and I've practically locked her away from any social interaction for the day. Goddamn introverts! Hey, don't be dissuaded, if you have someone who could interact with her, I'm down :v
