  1. "Oh that would be a big help," Lilac agreed as she tilted her head. "And you're welcome to help me with my room if you have time. I can teach you about all the different plants. Oh and Drake, if you ever get homesick, my room has plenty of plants from back in the forest. They're sure to cheer you up." She grinned as she looked over at them. It was nice to have people to talk to from the other realm. Her brother was the only one that she really knew there and he was busy with work so he couldn't look out for her.
  2. Lilac smiled at them as she held the books to her chest, a moss beginning to creep onto their corners from here her fingers were. "It's not really disorganized with clothes or pictures or stuff like that. It's just a lot of plants... It's basically a greenhouse in there..." Shifting on her feet a bit as she bounced, she nodded at Julia, "Okay! Tomorrow sounds good." Looking over at Drake she waited for his responds before bouncing a bit faster, "That's a good question! I don't know my way around town yet, but my brother made me memorize the way to the mall so I can get to him if I need. If it's near there I can find it."
  3. Lilac smiled at the two of them, squeezing Julia's hand a bit as she bounced. "Yeah you can see my room sometime," Nodding, she tilted her head. "But it's a little unorganized right now. I seem to have a mushroom problem since it has pretty dark corners. I can't really control my powers too well so sometimes I grow them without realizing it." After a moment, Lilac released Julia's hand and went to pick up her books that she had been collecting from her list. "I'm really excited to have friends here. I was never to popular back home. My brother used to call me the little sad willow. Come to think of it, he still does... But anyway, thanks a lot for all your help today. When were you going to head to the party? I'm still invited right?"
  4. Lilac was relieved when Drake assured her that he wasn't upset her with. She let out a soft sigh as her smile returned. "Um... Julia... maybe since we're friends now you should stop calling me miss," Looking up at her face, she gave her a smile. "You can just call me Lilac. Some of the dryads back home called me Li. Maybe I can go by that with friend here.... I'm not sure how it works in this realm. Maybe I can use your nickname too. Do you have one?" She began to bounce again, forgetting that she was holding her hand. "Oh and you too Drake. Do you have one?"
  5. "Oh I'm sorry," Lilac said softly as she took a step back from Drake, looking down at the floor. "I'm not great at distinguishing species outside of plants... I hope I didn't offend you..." She took a step toward Julia, seeming to hide behind her just slightly as she watched him, mistaking his surprise for anger. Her bouncing had stopped as she held onto Julia's hand gently. When Drake looked over at her to add her in, Lilac smiled a bit, but didn't let go of Julia's hand. "Y-yeah. I can show you guys the dryad cove. Its a really good hot spring area with lots of good minerals and stuff. If we go with Julia to her home I could find all kinds of different plants to grow too. I want to grow all different kinds in my room."
  6. Lilac nodded at Julia with a smile. "As long as I have been around a plant long enough to bond with it I can grow it. It's a little harder to grow it in the ground without a seed though," She folded her hands behind her back as she looked back at Drake. Her face scrunched up a bit as she thought. After a moment of her being silent, but not really seeming to listen she blurted out, "DRAGON! You're a dragon right?" She began to bounce again as she clasped her hands in front of her. "I've seen you.... but I was always really shy so I turned into a shrub whenever someone came by..." She turned to Julia and grabbed of her hand as she reached over and grabbed Drake's hand. "You two are very nice. I will be your friend." A vine creeped out of the top of her hands and slowly slithered around their wrists. The one around Julia's wrist twisted into a knot and a small white flower sprouted out of it before snapping off of Lilac's hand. The one around Drake's wrist also tied itself, but his grew a bright red flower with spiked petals before it snapped off of her. Lilac smiled brightly as she let go of their hands.
  7. (Ah my bad, she just collected them as he pointed them out then) Lilac watched as Drake drew Julia back into the conversation. "Oh yes," she nodded as she bounced on the balls of her feet. "I live near the BIG BIG glowing willow tree. He's my dad, but he doesn't move around in his dryad form anymore." Glancing up at the two of them, she was referring to a large willow in almost the center of the forest that's leaves glowed a bright blue color. That was one way that you could tell if a dryad was from that forest, they could produce glowing leaves. However, it was quite tricky and took a bit of concentration, so most didn't do it all the time unless they took root like her father had.
  8. "Thanks Julia," Lilac smiled as she took the book and began to look through the pages before Drake walked over. "Oh!" she nodded as Drake started to hand her the other books on her list. "I thought this one could help me with the mushrooms that are growing in my room," taking a book called Mushroom Magics: The Dark and Damp from Drake she stacked the books in her arms. When he took a book off the shelf to look at it, she peered over his shoulder to see what he was looking at. "Oh! I know that one!" Lilac said excitedly as a plant began to sprout at her feet. Reaching down, she plucked it and held it out to him. It was a sprout of the root that he had been looking at.
  9. "Told you we're lost," Kida grumbled as he walked with his hands folded behind his head. Momo's cheeks puffed up at her older brother as she looked over at him. They had been walking for quite some time now, but Momo could have sworn that it was right around her. Everything looked so different now though, the terrain was not at all how she remembered it. "Look! See, I told you I'd find it," Momo smiled as she pointed at the break in the treeline. Grabbing his arm, she dragged him though the trees but where she ended up was not were she had expected to be. They were standing on the edge of a beach. "H-hey Kida. Are there any beaches in Yalba?" Kida just shook his head as he looked around them. There were a few people on the beach and a building in the distance but they definitely weren't in Yelba anymore.
  10. "Oh?" Lilac clapped a bit as she looked at Julia, not seeming to notice her stuttering or perhaps she was so used to herself stuttering and stumbling over her words that she didn't mind when others did it. "I would love to see these books! How peculiar humans are." Swaying a bit she looked up at them when something caught her eye, the words Herbal Magic were placed on the side of one of the book shelves. "Oh oh oh," Lilac pointed at the shelves as she started to run over, tripping over herself. Gathering up her hair, she held it above her feet so she wouldn't step on it as she ran over to the section. A scatterbrain as always, Lilac seemed to switch gears in an instant going from talking to the two of them to peering over the shelves.

  12. "Beeeer," Lilac repeated pushing a finger into her cheek as she did so. Her hands returned to their place clasped behind her back as her head tilted at Julia's comment. "Afterparty? He never mentioned what that was... A gathering after a party? Why would one do that? Oh! Is it to discuss what we observe about the humans?" She clearly had no idea what an afterparty was, but she did her best to try and figure it out, looking between the two of them for confirmation. "I would like to learn more about this afterparty, I will go!" she nodded.
  13. Lilac stopped dancing and let her hair fall down around her as she looked up at Julia, listening to her explanation. Her eyes drifted over to Drake as he nodded. "Al-coooo-hall," She tried to repeat after him. "I like the dancing... Maybe I should learn more about humans too..." She thought for a moment before turning back to Julia. "I would like to try the al-cooo-hall too. And it couldn't hurt to observe some humans since they do such weird stuff all the time." Lilac nodded at the two of them, bouncing on the balls of her feet.
  14. Lilac watched Drake open his mouth to speak, but that wasn't his voice. Glancing over at Julia, she realized it was the manticore that had spoken. Silly of her to think that it had been anyone else. The question made her cheeks puff up again. "Oh... what was that... I know this one..." Lilac seemed frustrated at her own ignorance. "It's... um... like... it's like the festivals back home right?" Lilac wasn't quite sure what a party was like in the human realm, but her brother had made the comparison once before. He spent a lot of time trying to teach Lilac about the human world before she came over, but not all of it seemed to stick. "It's like..." Lilac let go of Julia's tail and stopped for a moment, putting her hands in the air. She began to sway back and forth, wiggling her arms as her hair fluffed out into a bush.
  15. Lilac looked at the tail for a moment before reaching out and taking it like a hand. She wasn't sure why the two of them were being so nice, but she didn't want to be rude. Looking back up at Drake she tilted her head. "Not all Dryads have long hair," she responded as she shuffled along next to him. "Mostly Dryads from the Glowing forest do though... Um... And younger dryads too... Having long hair gives you better defenses against things in the forest... Like big birds. It's a little harder to move around here though, cause the ground is so different. But, look." She smiled as her hair started to pull itself off of the ground and curl up into the air forming branches above her for a moment before falling back down around her. "It's easier to get sunlight... Young dryads like me need lots of sun... My brother keeps his hair much shorter though."
  16. Lilac smiled over at Drake as she noticed his reaction, hoping that she hadn't done anything to upset him. Turning back to face Julia, she tried to keep up without tripping over her hair. Stumbling a bit, she reached out and placed a hand on what she thought was Julia's shoulder. After a moment, she looked up to see she had actually placed her hand on on of her wings. "Sorry," Lilac jumped back slightly, if Julia was anything like the few dragons she had met back home she wouldn't be to happy with a stranger touching her wings. I messed up again, she puffed up her cheeks a bit as she scooted more toward Drake in case she tripped again. He didn't seem to have any wings or a tail that she would accidentally grab onto if she stumbled.
  17. Lilac looked over the two of them for a moment. Drake looked just as confused as she felt. If that was the case, he couldn't be a human. This realization made her relax a bit. It was hard enough for Lilac to interact with non-plants, it would have been even harder for her to continue interacting with them if she thought he was a human the whole time. She was so nervous in this realm and it was nice to have others around that knew what that felt like. Walking a bit closer to the two of them she plucked one of the lilies from her hair. Reaching out, she tucked it behind Drake's ear with a bright smile. Bouncing over she did the same for Julia. "Lead the way," she smiled up at her and clasped her own hands together behind her back, waiting patiently.
  18. Lilac bounced slightly on her heels when the two of them agreed to help her look, a small smile on her face peeked out from behind her long locks. "Thank you," She squeaked as she took the paper back and stuffed it into her backpack. Looking around, she spotted that one of the shelves had a label on the side of it, fire magic. So the books must have been broken up based off of what they were about, but where would nature magic or herbal magic be? She looked up at the two of them expectantly, her hair perking up slightly as lilies sprouted up on it. It was so different in the human realm. She had never needed to stop her ability to grow plants wherever she walked, that was one of the reasons that the forests where she lived were so plush and vibrant. If every dryad had to focus to make the flowers grow, the forests wouldn't be nearly as big.
  19. "M-my name is Lilac, first year transfer student," She replied as she straightened back up and looked over them. Lilac stepped a bit back when she looked at Drake, thinking that he must be a human since she didn't see anything supernatural about him. But then again, there were a few creatures that could take almost human forms. She left a few weeds popping up in the cracks of the floor where she had been standing. "I-I just got here a few days ago... I don't... um... S-sorry..." She looked down at the ground mentally kicking herself for fumbling over her words. "C-could you help me find this book?" She held out a slip of paper to the two of them. One of books that was listed was Herbal Magic: Controlling Weeds, Thickets, and Brush written in big bubble letters and circled with drawings of leaves next to it to mark its important. "M-my brother told me to get it... So I don't leave trails everywhere..." She looked down at her feet where grass and weeds were starting to pop up like they had on her way there. There was a line of plants and grass leading from her down the stairs and to the front door of the building.
  20. lol, I have three. Sometimes ya just want to play a different personality or species
  21. lol, yeah it's fine. I don't mind waiting for my partners to respond.
  22. Yeah, it's going great
  23. Heyo, if anyone is interested in doing a scene with Niko the 3rd year kitsune or Larkspur the dryad that owns "The Enchanted Florist", let me know
  24. Lilac sunk down into a seat on the floor as the two helped her pick up the last of the books. She looked up at them through her long green hair that covered her face and drooped down over her body, her plump legs sticking out of the mass of green as she sat there staring up at them. They were so kind. She had only been in the realm for a few days and hadn't met anyone yet, but she was a bit surprised as she finally started to relax. Her eyes didn't leave them as she picked up the little slip of paper that she was holding before and pulled it into the green mass of hair. "Th-th-thank y-you..." she whispered as she finally came to a full stand. "S-sorry for the trouble." She quickly whipped her head forward, coming to an almost 90 degree bow, her hair flopping over her and lightly slapping against their legs from the force of her bow.
  25. "I-I-I'm okay," Lilac squeaked out in a panicked tone as she realized that her hair had bristled out and her body and hair were both covered in rose bush thorns. They protruded sharply out of her, an instinct that she didn't quite know how to control just yet. She scrambled to sit up but some of the thorns on her back dug into the ground and pierced into some of the books that had fallen on her. "Oww ow ow," she yelped again as she tugged the thorns on her back, tears welling up in her eyes. She took a deep breath and held it, her cheeks puffing up and turning a faint red as she concentrated. She almost looked like a puffer-fish as she tried to draw the thorns back into her. It took her a moment for the thorns on her back to disappear before she could sit up and start to wiggle the books off of the thorns that coated her front. She kept her cheeks puffed as she slowly drew the rest of her thorns in and relaxed her hair back down into what almost looked like the leaves of a willow tree. Once the thorns retreated she gasped, taking in heavy breaths as she scooted quickly out from under the books and collected a stack in her arms, trying to put them back on the shelf in the correct order. She looked rather panicked still as she kept dropping the books and fumbling over herself. Her mind just kept repeating Oh my spirits, oh my spirits, how embarrassing.
