  1. If a question was forgotten—and I'm not saying one was—is this where one would put the new question, should a fresh question be requested?
  2. Emily took a final draw off the cig before giving the head a small twist and killing the LED glow along with the faint swirl of smoke and vapor. The Captain wasn't wrong. The habit wasn't good for her cyber at all. It could throw errors and if she didn't keep up on maintenance, the soot and tar build-up could and would screw with the tech running through her throat and chest. But Emily wasn't alive just to keep her cyber working optimally. With all the damage done to her, she had little enough time as it was and fighting for a scrap more of it made her feel pathetic. And maybe that was the heart of it—when the timer is ticking down, sometimes the only way you can feel control is to speed it up. Or maybe she just liked the attention it got her from Magda. Something about getting her little spitfire of a captain riled up brought a tick of a grin to Emily's lips that she turned to an almost insubordinate smirk, and as Magda rounded her desk to fetch the data tablet, Emily's deep brown eyes flicked down, following the athletic slope in her Captain's butt and her bare thighs below her shorts before blinking back to a more appropriate level. God, the battle adrenaline and pain-meds really were doing a number on her. However, the feeling was smothered as the implications of Captain Payarkoon's plan hit her. "What? Hold on. Captain..." Emily grimaced, rubbing at her neck and shaking her head slowly. "Food, yes. Meds, yes. We can load up a lot on the carrier, but trying to claim the hab block means months of occupation." Swiping the scans, Emily tapped the screen. "Look, some might be happy to be liberated, but unless we wean them off the emotion-blockers carefully—which I'm not sure we can do. We're going to have one arm holding down a whole bunch of stressed out, emotionally volatile former Hive citizens making our lives hell while we're keeping Hive troops and kaiju off with the other arm." The idea of leaving Scylla behind to break in a new BioFrame didn't sit well with Emily either. Her grimace soured by another degree as she remembered the synch-shock she'd suffered just hijacking it long enough to get back to the carrier. Then again, that only mattered if Magda went ahead with the plan. Lifting her gaze to meet Magda's once more, Emily could see the steel behind her commander's eyes, and after a beat, Emily sighed and added, "...but I take it you didn't invite me to your office ahead of the other pilots to brainstorm your plan."
  3. Robin felt her anxiety melting into a hot, vibrating excitement. Velvet's lips drew a soft gasp from her, a flutter in her dark lashes as her shoulders drifted forward like the car were subtly tipping. The mention of 'bedrooms' made her heartbeat spike a moment and a thrill ran down the inside of her spine like a lit match dropping through her, igniting her core. And when Velvet's tongue slipped into her mouth, Robin clumsily accepted it, the tip of her own eager, uncoordinated muscle skimming the side as she tried to match her partner's seductive movements. As Velvet paused, pulling back to see if Robin wanted more, the flush in her cheeks and the small movements of those parted lips made the answer clear. The temptation to plunge back was already making Robin's fingers tighten on the dashboard and seatback of the Jeep, and would have continued had her eyes not caught one of the party-goers crossing the front lawn—the college girl's eyes drawn to the pink Jeep and the two girls inside it. A feeling like ice-water being poured down her back made Robin flinch and her shoulders contracted, her lips coming together and her head lowering as her fingers rose to restlessly push at her dark hair. "I-I think we should go on in... People probably think we're being weird here... sitting in the car... in front of everyone..." 'Everyone' here was no more than six people, but the pulsing music and commotion of the party beyond inflated the minor attention to a 'crowd of gawkers' in Robin's mind. Pulling open the car door, Robin started to turn but hesitated, worrying at her lower lip a moment before turning one eye to look back to Velvet over the white shoulder of her micro-jacket. When she spoke, her voice was a mousey whisper that was nearly lost under the DJ's speakers, "It... It wouldn't be a college party... if someone didn't sneak into a-a bedroom... right?" The confusion and desire churning in Robin made it difficult to look at Velvet as she left the car and walked beside her toward the backyard pool. This night had been nothing like what she'd expected. A part of her was still longing to see if Dylan had come, where the mysterious boy was and what he would be like... Another part made her heart race along with the music, replaying handsome, reckless Derek's invitation. He wanted her here... and that was only a degree removed from what her heart was afraid to face: he wanted her. As a friend? She doubted it, but it was vague enough keep her from feeling desperate... from feeling whorish for coming at his call. And then there was Velvet... who had opened doors in her that Robin had willfully looked away from for years, doors she had denied even existed. She was outside the safety of known experience and wandering the unknown, the wilderness—and a girl with make-up her mother taught her to associate with Satanism was her guide.
  4. Yay! ❤ I'll reply when I can focus a bit more, but Velvet absolutely gets a String on Robin.
  5. Not Guilty. I was very well behaved this weekend. (Also, Thai is delicious. I highly recommend finding a Thai place to give it a try. Be realistic about how you handle spice though.) The next poster loves spicy foods.
  6. Fuck. To help us both process the tragic life and more tragic death of Leo.
  7. It would be nice. Scylla definitely has a jealous streak. I think it's probably a control issue. She's a smaller frame, she can't out-muscle her problems, so she likes to feel in control of her circumstances—controlling where she perches and rests, running frequent scans to keep tabs on everything around her, and seeing Emily piloting another frame definitely sparks jealousy fed by that inability to 'control' Emily (as someone she relies on physically and emotionally).
  8. Guilty. Something about this place or the inhabitants here encourages a reckless honesty in me, and I've connected with a couple people to a level I didn't expect. They might just think I'm crazy, and that's fine. It's a fair assessment. But I hope I'm providing some goodness back that people can take away into the rest of their lives. The next person has sung out loud in the last week (not humming or quiet, whisper singing)
  9. Excalibur's enthusiasm is absolutely infectious. They were consistently friendly and willing to talk through our RPs goals and tone, keeping an open-minded and cheerful atmosphere the entire time I had the pleasure to play with them. In our OOC chat, they were animated and did a fantastic job keeping up a lewd and excited vibe that encouraged me to just have fun and go wild with the RP. When I expressed a concern I had with the pacing of our RP, they were open to listening and accommodating, making sure we were both on the same page. And I expect if I'd had other concerns, they would have been just as willing to talk them through. From their Preferences page and About Me tab, you get an excellent view of Excalibur, and what you see is very much what you get: a fun, fast-paced, rollercoaster RP experience that leans hard into the kinks you choose together.

  10. Guilty. I had to look it up, but I think that was my first Godzilla movie. It was either playing on TV or on a DVD at a friend's house, and it made me uncomfortable in a way I'm just now kind of processing as "why did they give the monster a sexy bod?" ...that's probably just me, though... The next poster also has a movie monster they find a little hot.
  11. ... Not Guilty? If there's a movie or something called Mother's then I'm not familiar with it. But if you mean, a fan of the concept of mothers... then, sure? The next person knew exactly what WritesNaughtyStories was talking about in the previous post.
  12. Adultery
  13. Why smack the crack?
  14. St. Andrew's Cross (Get it? because it's an X ? )
  15. Not Guilty. I should though. I'm not a terribly strong swimmer. The next person prefers spending time at pools over natural water like lakesides and beaches.
  16. Kill. To stop the Albert Fish arc.
  17. Kill. Just to lean into my Mary Hobry arc.
  18. Guilty. Little local art fairs and craft fairs can be fun to just walk around for a bit. When I've lived nearby to Renaissance Festivals, I've always loved them too (though, I'm not sure it's in the spirit of the claim given its a lot of travelling performers at those). The next person owns something that they won in a bet.
  19. otherworldly pleasures
  20. You might want to @ a moderator or use the 'Report Bulletin Post' link in the bottom left of the post. There is an option saying 'this is ok, I just want to tell the mods about it', for stuff that isn't necessarily breaking rules.
  21. Fuck. To screw the thread back to life—an act of pure creation. (SFW)
  22. Not Guilty. But giving it a quick search reminds me of having an edible and watching Heavy Metal with a group of friends. That alone gets it a spot on the to-watch list. The next person has been to a show and seen a band perform live in 2025.
