Kat kept reading, silently humming to herself. She could have sworn she heard breathing… It’s probably just me imagining things, she reassured herself. She’s been known to imagine things a bit too often.

Kat came out to the pool, deciding to put her book away for a little. Maybe there are more people here, she thought, starting to swim.

Kat slowly entered the room, still holding her book. She opened up the book to the first page. For some odd reason, she strangely felt at home inside the attic.
